it's kinda crazy to me that some people can't fathom.....no going to hawai'i. Like they're telling you not to go there's a billion other places to go why would you vacation in hawai'i if the native people tell you not to??? Hawaiians telling you to not vacation in hawai'i like someone telling you to not come into their private house like they might have cool stuff in there but it's their fuckingg house. STOP FUCKING GOING TO HAWAI'I VACATION SOMEWHERE ELSE MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

hearing anything abt israel really makes me wanna go crazy :/ you've got endless footage of them proudly recording their own crimes for each other's entertainment (with them at most being like "maybe we shouldn't share it... we might get in trouble..."), and then here in the west the people in charge are comfortable enough to just flat out ignore all the people here and blame the victims there, and It's so....

i wish that i could not do any work on history class at all
just let me learn and then take the test
i would be fine i promise it’s basically what i’m doing now but it’d make me less stressed
math is actually the only core class i wanna have to do class work for ever
i just wanna learn about everything else and then take tests or write essays
i would get the best grades ever and not fail a single class

AITA for telling my teacher to stop asking my opinion about Israel in front of the class?
Both of my parents are Israeli immigrants. I was born in the USA. They are generally pretty progressive and raised me to be critical of the Israeli gov. There were many different reasons why they decided to move to America, but their disapproval of Israel’s colonization of Palestine and right wing leadership gaining more power was a factor.
Israel is also where they grew up, so despite their criticism of the government they have a lot of emotional and family ties there. As you can imagine the current situation has been emotionally complicated for them.
As a Jew who is pro Palestine I tend to keep my opinions to myself because it is such a divisive issue and I am pretty conflict avoidant, I really hate getting into arguments with people and I don’t think getting yelled at by genocide sympathizers would actually help anything. I have a very obviously Jewish last name, and I’m told I also look stereotypically Jewish tho I’m not even sure what that means bc there are Jews of every shape and color but that’s besides the point. My philosophy teacher has decided I am the class expert on Israel and Palestine. She brings the topic up CONSTANTLY and she calls on me first every single time, to ask me questions about specific aspects of the situation and get my take… she treats me like I am authority on the subject and I very much am not.
After several classes of her doing this, I met her during office hours and explained to her that I’m not like, an expert just because I’m jewish and that it makes me feel uncomfortable when she singles me out. I told her that it’s a lot of pressure to be put on the spot about such a delicate issue in front of people I don’t know well. She apologized but also said that she was just trying to give me the space to express myself as a Jewish person and seemed kind of offended that I asked her to stop. AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Your countries are being invaded and your too blinded by accusations of "Bigotry" and "Racism" to actually do anything about it. What am I talking about?
Tumblr media
-
Tumblr media
Let me explain something to the left and any moderate that might have an issue with my framing. These are not people seeking asylum because of persecution. These are economic migrants trying to extract from our countries while their first act in flooding here is economic instability and eventual collapse. It has nothing to do with cultural dislike, or racism of any kind.
Fact is most people in most places hate how their governments are run. The US Gov I can actually weigh in on, because we have sent billions in tax dollars to Ukraine and foreign interests. We have spent millions if not billions on homelessness yet still have a huge homeless issue in places that claim to care about it more than anywhere else.
But what's the issue. 80%-90% of the people coming are military age men. In some cases that percentage is north of 98%. Meaning there are almost never any women or children coming here. And at least in the US they are coming here with their fist act as breaking US law. I live in Texas. This state is heavily affected by illegal immigration. Hard part is, most people don't tend to see the effects until it's too late. The more people that flood your country, the worse the economy in your country will be. Slow trickle can be handled. What we are experiencing can't be. Why?
So not to be the "THER TAKN OUR JUBS", but in reality they are. They will work for lower wages. They don't care if they get healthcare. And the employer does not have to care about the red tape hiring them. They get the profit with almost none of the other complexities that come from hiring a legal citizen. What's more, we barely have enough jobs for the people that live here and yet we flood millions in through the southern border every single year. Functionally, this is an issue. We might be a melting pot, but what happens when our cultures are deleted outright because the flood gets too big?
And this is a real risk. Cultural decimation. These people don't care about their own countries. What makes you think they care about yours? They will extract. Destroy. And they will move on. They don't realize they are doing it have the time but consider the fact that the UN has not helped in this at all. Consider the fact that the WEF has not at all helped in this. The US can hold the population of the world sure, but fact of the matter is that should not be our goal. There are too many cultures, and there are too many offset forms of belief.
We can barely keep our own country working properly and inflation is the worst it's been in almost ever. We can't take care of our own and yet the bleeding heart class in the US just expects us to take in everyone from everywhere at all times. Economically we can't handle this. Socially and culturally we can't handle this. People need to go to countries through the proper sources. They need to do it legally. But what's more, these countries are losing their working age and military age men. IN THE THOUSANDS and MILLIONS. What is the result to the country these people are leaving? What of the women and children left behind?
No one wants to have this conversation because they are scared of being called a xenophobe or a racist. But having love for your country and wanting it to continue to function, and not have your culture crushed under the weight of actual invaders, isn't either of those things. And before you go, "Oh well how dare you call them invaders ~" here is the definition for you.
Tumblr media
Look at the second listing. I understand the idea behind wanting others to be happy. I understand the idea behind wanting people from other places to not suffer. But these people are leaving their countries, rather than fighting for them. They have abandoned their mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers in most cases.
Most of you need to face the reality that the real world is not a fair place. But if you want your country to thrive and survive there needs to be a process in which it functions. These people are ignoring that entire process. If Italy can't deport the people that just arrived on that ship, outnumbering the entire population of the island they just landed on, there will be consequences. And they will not be good. The language will start to shift. The religions in the area will change. The entire culture will change. Then at some point, they will decide, "This is our land now, and it's always been ours". It's objectively conquest by sheer numbers. And while they might not individually have any ill intent. That won't matter in the long term.
This isn't a conspiracy. It's not bigotry. Open a history book and read. I'm pro immigration. 100% I'm for it. But how long are the lines for the people coming here legally? How many people have been denied citizenship over BS reasons? And not only are we allowing illegals in at a more than alarming rate (specifically in the US), but we are spending tax dollars on giving them roofs over their heads, and handouts, and in some places they are even getting monthly allowances.
Explain to me how we are doing this for people with no respect for the country, or it's laws, and yet you can't solve homelessness? You can't make a VA that actually functions properly? You can't get out out of inflation? So to the people cheering on illegal immigration, you are voting for your own demise. And every penny spent on them, is not one spent on a legal immigrant. Every penny spent on them is not spend helping the homeless. Every penny spent on them is not spent on healthcare.
This might be a controversial post and some people may even block, mute or unfollow me for it and that's fine. But history speaks for itself. And every country that has dealt with this for too long has collapsed over time. Pretty much every single time.
You should be concerned. Before you end up as the one who's displaced, and is fleeing.

OKOK double post before I disappear for a bit,, Willow redesign to match w Gus! I doodled her today in Gov and a design just HIT ME
pose referenced from Dana Terrace ofc!
Tumblr media
Ok so headcanon from the last post applies here too + will apply to all my designs <3 she developed branch-like ears but that was about it other than some temporary staining caused from growth of foliage, plants, grass, and flowers on her arms, legs, stomach, etc. when she uses her magic.
For this I included two forms of hers: spring/summer and fall/winter as I thought it would be really cool if her form changed with the seasons. Spring/summer adopts a lighter palette with more tendency to grow foliage on her body due to the sun and photosynthesis or whatever, perfect plant environment. During winter, her tree branch ears thin out to look like a dead tree during winter, and her body grows more grass than anything else during power usage to keep warm. Her skin also has a deeper dark brown tint with little brown spots on her shoulders!
Tumblr media
I hate the doodle on the left but I’d been working for so long by that point that I stopped trying to make it look good and just rushed it to get the concept across </3
extrasss:
She grows vines from her hair when she’s mad lol
I tried to make her look more like her dads like every single redesign of Willow ever does. Blasian Willow truther!
Also here is the doodle I did during class that sparked this lol

This class president is the model of a successful Texas teen. After a ban on trans health care, she can’t wait to leave the state.
Tumblr media
The Texas Tribune tells the story about  Topher Malone, a Round Rock teen, who is now using her admission to Harvard to get away from this state of hate.
William Molhado and Leila Sadane writes:
By every standard, Malone is a model of a successful young woman: She’s a straight-A student and class president at Round Rock Independent School District’s Early College High School, she attends national youth leadership conferences and she’s raised money to support the school group she leads.
Malone is also trans. Malone says having access to gender-affirming treatments before she turned 18 in May allowed her to embrace her true self and channel her energy into her advocacy for LGBTQ youth.
“I think she’s put so much effort into finding her identity but also using that to reach out to the community to actually make a difference,” said Julian Jones, one of Malone’s teachers who has known her for almost four years.
But young trans people like Malone who have blossomed with support from teachers, family members and medical professionals will soon be a relic of a bygone era in Texas. Senate Bill 14, which bans transgender youth from accessing puberty blockers and hormone therapy to address mental health issues associated with gender dysphoria, will go into effect in September unless Gov. Greg Abbott reverses his commitment to sign the legislation.
For those of us who live outside of the United States it is absolutely absurd that a country can end up being divided into hate states like Florida and Texas (where trans people are erased) and openminded and compassionate states that help and protect LGBTQA people. Shouldn’t human rights be the same all over?
Moreover, a lot of the people living in these states do not support these transphobic measures. Do not they have rights too? Mind you, a lot of  people cannot easily move from a hate state to a sane state. They have jobs, families and friends who anchor them where they are.
“I’m absolutely ecstatic to leave and go to a state where everyone actually cares about me and cares about my identity as a trans person,” Malone says. “A lot of the queer people I know, they want to escape as quickly as possible.”

i go to class today to watcha. movie in gov and a normal lecture in anthro. then tomorrow i just have another half lecture for anthro and thats IT then i have three weeks to do what i want.
the first thing on my list is to rrwork this romper that i made earlier in the year which you may remember. the black one iwth little blue flowers. im going to make it strapless rather than tank top because it feels cuter like that and would be easier than trying to fuck around with bias and straps. which i hate. the next thing i have planned is an all grey suit with a tank top and either shorts or long pants. i kinda been doing long pants a lot tho and i want something cuter and short. so i can show off my hair legs. somewhere in there im going to finish the painting thats been in the garage for months now.
i actually have a gyno apppointment on the 27th and i plan to make the trip out there more fun by going to the discount fabrics store and probably gonna spend too much money but i want a new wardrobe and rtahr spen that money on supplies than pre made clothes. i just realized i can make myself tops with crochet and knit. im going to make some crochet boobie tops.

here have more rtc character headcanons!!
i want to know more abt them In Life so. here’s what i think all their favorite school subjects/activities were…
oh also i forget they’re canadian and I Am Not so just. insert in whatever the canadian equivalents are if i say something wrong lol
ocean: sga and gov (idk what the equivalent of ap is in canada but. whatever the ap gov equivalent is. that’s hers. bc you KNOW she was taking all advanced classes just to make a point) but fr. ocean was student gov president and wanted to be the first democratically elected female prime minister of canada (i think that’s all of it) so ofc this would be her thing :) pretty self explanatory for her..
noel: if they had a lit mag, noel was DEFINITELY part of it. idk if he would’ve been an editor or just a main contributor (or both) but he was definitely part of it in some big way for sure. i feel like he’d put in some stuff anonymously (but you could still pretty much always tell it was him) as well as some with his name on it, depending on what it was abt also. ANYWAY.. the being said he’s also ofc an advanced english type. i mean Ofc he is. and i can’t forget how he’s most definitely and obviously a french student bc Duh. (which is rlly fun to imagine bc I am a french student and there are legit 3 people in my class. it’s rlly funny to picture noel in our environment)
-oh also i think noel has been banned from doing pretty much Anything Remotely Invovled With Theater since the whole 7th grade thing. that’s one of the main reasons why he does choir. he’s literally banned from everything else.. he would do it if he could though :)
mischa: this one’s hard bc he’s the Angriest boy in town,, so like. what’s he gonna actually like yknow.. but in a weird way i think he’d really like science classes. just bc of the labs ofc.. but i think he’d like anatomy (basing this on his love of saw 5) he’d just think the dissections and shit are cool yknow :)
ricky: also a hard one.. we know he likes space and sci-fi and he’s rlly freakin smart but idk what that would rlly translate to.. maybe physics?? tbh i’m not rlly sure. he’d definitely also be a science-y person though. since he’s so imaginative i think he’d learn the facts and then sorta work w them in his head to make his own kind of rules and logic that still makes perfect sense to him but would seem absolutely batshit to the majority of other people yknow..
jane: actually forget what i said abt ricky and mischa being hard to think abt. she takes the cake. it’s hard bc i know Nothing abt penny lamb. (i want to though… how do i read legoland??) so all i have to go off of is her mannerisms and her speech patterns really. i think like noel she is also an english person.. a lot of how she talks seems like something i’d see in ap lang or lit,, (allusions and metaphors mainly) and just. a lot of what she says can be analyzed to oblivion like that. (i’m rlly thinking abt her catchphrase. like there’s definitely hidden meaning there).
-also,, here’s a great chance to talk abt my thoughts on her role in the choir!! i think penny *was* technically in the choir. she just didn’t really know how to befriend the rest of them (i think ricky noticed her the most but obviously couldn’t really communicate that to her) so she mostly just hung back. as for why no one remembers her (like the rest of them didn’t even realize there was even a 6th person at first. she doesn’t even remember herself. karnak doesn’t remember reading her fortune even though he actually did) i think that when she was designated a Jane Doe,, penny was actually gone from everyone’s memories until the moment she is chosen to be brought back to life. i think that’s really it. :)
constance: tbh no clue. part of me thinks that she doesn’t really have a favorite class. i think shes even more apathetic towards school than mischa is. like obviously she hides it but.. Still. she just. kinda hates it all yknow. bc it was before the cyclone and before she had her revelation and began to enjoy her life like 30 seconds before it ended.. so she probably just kinda liked the simple stuff like electives.. she probably had a couple art classes she liked (and also choir)
that’s all :)

Day One Hundred Thirty-Three
Teaching a lesson "move when ready" style worked for the past two days of Global Studies, so I decided to do it again today with all four sections. They had to read their books, then- if they had time- they had to check my feedback on the writing prompt they'd done last class and revise if they hadn't earned full credit. If they still had time after that, they had to make up any work they owed me. A lot of students really took advantage of that, and- as they say- locked in. It was great for their learning. Odds of me doing this again tomorrow? High.
Tom White walked in as I was wrapping up my second section (because he was guest lecturing in my APGOV class), so he heard the tail end of some banter about cell phones and TikTok and whatnot. Then the bell rang, the GOV kids came in, and for the next eighty-ish minutes he taught them about the eugenics movement, how it's tied to both the American white supremacist movement and Nazi Germany, how it influenced policy, what echoes we hear in the discourse today. It's shocking history, and, well, my students were shocked. They had some great comments and questions, though, and were really receptive to Tom's closing message, which is that hate didn't win, and that, so long as they stay engaged and aware, hate cannot win.
It's a powerful lesson, and one I look forward to recapping with them tomorrow.
It's still gross, rainy, and cold, so the sprinters ran hallway repeats and did some agility drills today. We're going outside no matter what tomorrow, though, because the traditional Easter egg hunt must occur!
