ISABELA

Lesbian. I’m sorry I just can’t see her being into guys it just doesn’t work in my brain.

Since she’s dropped her perfect persona, Isabela has been pulling pranks, ESPECIALLY on known little shit head Camilo. He doesn’t know whether to be proud or extremely annoyed.

Can’t cook or bake she’ll set the kitchen aflame

Always walks barefoot on the grass

Has names for most of her plants, especially the cacti

Doesn’t really involve herself in farmers work unless there is an emergency.

Developed a skill for gardening without her gift, and continues to do so even once she’s gotten it back. There’s something special about watching plants grow over time.

She still makes bouquets for events, but they’ve lost their conservative look for something more ‘Isabela’

Unlike most of her family she doesn’t mind bugs (unless they are in her room)

Very high pain tolerance. Likely due to smiling all day and cacti thorns.

She still likes pastel colors but they aren’t high on her list of favorite colors, so she opts for darker colors when choosing cloths.

She used to bite people as a kid

Has conflicting feelings on animals because on one hand yeah they are cute on the other she has to shoo them away from eating her plants every other week

Has a large man eating plant named ‘Rosita’

Sometimes she’ll take whatever is in Mirabel’s hand, put it on a high shelf she cannot reach, and walk away.

Can actually be scarier then Luisa believe it or not

Not big on physical affection and often uses gift giving as her way of showing love (platonically and romantically)

DOLORES

Incredible musician who could basically play any instrument you hand her

She sings lullabies to the younger family members

Personally I imagine her as the only straight grandkid but obvi she is supportive of lgbtq+ since half her family is apart of it

She wouldn’t come out of her room when she first got her gift, but her parents and a very supportive Isabela eventually coaxed her out

She has headphones painted red and gold by Mirabel

As much as she loves Isabela and appreciates all of Luisa’s hardwork; out of her cousins her and Mira get along the best.

Speaking of that Isabela and Dolores’s relationship, much like Camilo and Mirabel’s, soured as the pressure to uphold the family name increased. Before the magic disappeared they basically ignored each other, but began to reconcile during the rebuild and became close again.

Her room is sound proof (I know people say otherwise idc she needs a BREAK) but during the night she’ll sometimes open her window since it’s much quieter

I do believe she has SOME control over her gift, and in order to hear very far she has to hold a hand against her ear. When she isn’t, things are amplified but not unbearable. She’s kinda just gotten used to it.

Dolores love language is, unsurprisingly, words of affirmation.

If she gets stressed and doesn’t have access to her headphones, she’ll listen for the nearest family members voice (Ex: her fathers laugh, her mothers ranting, Camilo’s jokes, Antonio communicating with his animals)

Gets in on Isabela’s pranks now and again. She is mostly polite but has a devious side, especially with her cousins and siblings.

LUISA

I still adhere to the concept Luisa has some sort of ‘calm’ room. Wether it be an amusement park or a sauna she deserves to have somewhere to destress

Has a pile of stuffed animals, each with different names

She actually does enjoy doing chores and being active, but struggles to find a stopping point and not overwork herself

She’s more then just brawn, and was always a sharp academic when she was in school

VERY physically affectionate she’s giving everyone hugs and crushing their bones

Her and Camilo get along very well after Casita’s rebuild. She likes his energy and ability to let loose, and Camilo respects all the work she does around the Encanto. They mesh well.

When she first got her gift she accidentally broke her dads hand

Her father used to teach her piano, though she sorta fell out of it the older she got. Since casita’s rebuild she’s picked it back up as a hobby.

A big animal person, second to Antonio. She likes patting the donkeys on the head if she gets the chance

Has a hard time sitting down to eat because she’s always getting ready to move

If you give her anything she’ll begin sobbing and thanking you (birthdays and Christmas are rough)

She puts the younger kids if air jail if she has to

She originally struggled to control her gift, and that made her scared to touch anyone in fear she’d hurt them. But Pepa helped Luisa find ways to control the strength as she had to learn with her weather

After she lost her gift she kept trying to move the church as a force of habit

CAMILO

Gay and trans can’t change my mind

Despite always being hungry he cannot stomach fish. Some other seafoods are fine but the smell of fish makes him ill.

Won’t say this out loud: he is kinda legitimately afraid of Isabela ever since he’s become the target of her pranks. No one knows true fear until you realize you are caught in a Isabela prank.

Camilo’s love language is a lot of things, but quality time is high up on his list as he likes living in the moment.

Is a very good artist but gets embarrassed when people try to look at his work

Despite being a stick he is surprisingly strong.

Him and Mirabel used to be close but sort lost that connection the older they got, and even began to fight and butt heads. I like to think they do eventually become close, but it takes a lot of conversation and time.

Once no one would wake up so she poured water on Camilo’s head and he screamed so loud it woke everyone else up

Mirabel looks extremely innocent but will literally try to stab anyone who bothers her with her sewing needle

She used to write simple picture books for Antonio when they roomed together

She DEF got her own room during the rebuild. Like imagine saving the miracle and your family is just like “anyway go back to the baby room lol” they wouldn’t do that to her

Animals often tend to just kinda… follow him. If he goes for a walk he might came back with some new friends.

I do think he’s a vegetarian. Maybe not a vegan but eating meat is not easy for him.

He doesn’t always go to his parents if he has nightmares, and will rotate between Dolores, Mirabel, and Camilo.

Realized she wanted to transition at a young age but didn't really think much of it because of you know trying to follow in her grand father's footsteps. So she comes out when she's about 14-15.

-Told her grandfather straight at the dinner table. Internally she was sweating bad because Fuhito just stared at her for awhile before actually saying anything. All he asked her was "Are you still going to be a detective, or will you be a disappointment like your father?" and kyoko's like "Of course I'm still going to be a detective." And that all Fuhito really needed to hear, and he welcomes his new granddaughter into the family. - Jin didn't have any reaction to her until she showed up in his office and he was like " [Deadname]?! what happened to you??" like he didn't know how to react to his son suddenly becoming his daughter. He tells this to Koichi Kizakura and let's just say her uncle took it better than her own father. Over the two years in school, Jin has tried to accept his new daughter but just can't wrap his head around her new identity and why she transitioned. He often deadnamed her and used the incorrect pronouns. The relationship is very strained becuase of this and you know the fact he abandoned her.

-Before the whole world went collapse, she did manage to get an breast augmentation surgery and found out about it by solving a riddle from her grandfather literally 2 days before she was scheduled to get the surgery.

-Her hair is her pride and joy causing growing hair can take a long time specially to reach her length. Takes pretty good care of it.

-Did some voice training to raise the pitch of her voice, she's come to find that it works well when sounding neutral. If she gets serious, she can just drop it to a lower pitch to scare someone.

-Though its rare if you do misgender her on purpose, she'll just leave the convo and probably insult you in an intelligent way on way out. She don't got time ignorant people.

heres a watt headcanon for u (that kinda goes against what some ppl think but personally think this could go in line with the show):

okay so,, annleigh is a bit apprehensive when it comes to the lgbt community (as seen in the you are welcome in all colours of the rainbow. right annleigh? and she just goes ‘wellll....’). shes one of those christians who just doesnt think its gods will or whatever. clark however is the otherside of this where he believes his religion accepts everyone and over the course of their relationship hes educated her to the point where she accepts sexuality but still doesnt totally understand/accept gender (hard to hear when u kinda love a character and say their transphobic). personally i hc farrah as trans,, she has a sort of emphasis on wanting to be a good sister and annleigh says shes NOT her sister (because shes mtf). yea this could just be bc theyre step sisters but i like to think of this as an added layer as to why annleigh resents farrah. to anyone else it seems like its an adopted thing but to farrah it feels personal and she just wants people, especially annleigh, to understand her. (going off mollys fic) she asks clark to help annleigh understand her to which he agrees but yeah the show goes as is. after the second sleepover annleigh and kate become closer due to both their losses and the weight lifts as they know who the killer is. sometimes they sit together at lunch as they have no one else, usually in silence/just small talk. until one day annleigh notices kate staring at eva and something about the look in kates eyes reminds her of how clark used to look at her and something for her just clicks so she goes up to eva and apologises for everything that happened at the sleepover and asks her to join them. through many lunches they subtly educate her about the lgbt community and annleigh finds herself asking more questions without even realising how she wouldve never done that before. she feels changed, like shes finally moved on from the her before that night, however, not completely. she suggests to kate that they properly apologise to the rest of the team and they do. they eat lunch as a squad every tuesday and agree to start practising again after school. in the GYM. eva starts an lgbt awareness club and her n kate start dating. annleigh swears to be a better ally to her new found friends as she feels her previous thoughts were the reason farrah was drunk and farrah was killed. on farrahs birthday every year she spends the money she wouldve used for her present by donating to a trans charity because she doesnt want anyone to feel as alone as farrah did that night.

Shima Renzo:

- I kinda imagine that Shima isn’t the person to know that much about genders? Since it isn’t something that is often adressed in Japan quite as much as overseas. He had probably heard of it before, but not thought much over it.

- He’d probably be really confused and surprised when he first heard, needing some time to think it all over. But, of course, he would be accepting of him/her.

- If Shima hadn’t introduced him/her to Bon and Konekomaru, he definitely would. The four of you hit it off so well, after all. The two also promised to keep Shima off his/her back if he ever was too much of an idiot or got too perverted.

- The Kyoto squad also became his/her bodyguards when transphobes/homophobes got in the way, willing to beat the s out of them if he/she didn’t stop them.

- Days are often spend in his bed, cuddling, listening to music or eating snacks. Sometimes, he takes him/her with him to town, even to concerts, if he's/she's into that.

- His family already loves him/her, surprised that Renzo had such a caring boyfriend/girlfriend. There’s already invitations to the next family event for both of them.

- Overall, Shima might not always be the perfect boyfriend, but he’s trying his best and loves his s/o more than he could have ever thought he would.

Okumura Yukio:

- Out of the three, Yukio is probably the most worried one. Not out of what others would thin, of course, but more about s/o.

- Since he is skilled in the medical field, he knew of how often society didn’t see transgenders in the best light. Not all places, but generally knew quite a bit. Yukio knew how the world, especially Japan, thought about people who were trans.

- It might need s/o and his brother's help to see that others opinions wouldn’t mean the end of the world. Sometimes he just ended up worrying over stuff like this for the safety of those he cared about.

- Helps out with a meal plan or training regiment, if needed. Yukio sometimes lets them train with him, since he mostly just practice shooting targets than lifting weights.

- Likes to do homework together, read together and sometimes go out to eat. Though, it’s mostly just from places that doesn’t cost much, since a teacher’s paycheck wasn’t that much again.

- Yukio will never admit this, but he feels like him, S/o and Rin is a nice family. The dorms feels brighter whenever the three of them got to enjoy a meal together. Almost like back when they lived at home.

- While Yukio is new to having a boyfriend/girlfriend in his life, he loves them dearly and will do his upmost best to be the one that he/she deserves.

Kamiki Izumo:

- I think Izumo might be the one who would be fastest to accept it out of the three. Of course, if she didn’t know before she was told, she’d be surprised and need to think, but generally not really think it mattered all that much.

- She likes S/o for who they were, so why would all of the other have to matter. It might take some time to get used to the thought, but she was more than willing to do it.

- A good thing about dating Izumo is her fashion sense. If you wanted something to make him/her look more cute, she’d take s/o to the store she’d usually shop by. If he/she wanted to look more cool, she’d take him/her to this other store she knew of.

- Many dates included the two getting bubble tea/milkshakes, shopping in Harajuku, reading manga together and eating lunch together.

- of hearing someone make fun of her s/o, Izumo is quick to boil up and make sure that they apologized. She couldn’t help it. Seeing the irritation and sadness on her loved ones' faces just made her heart break, despite never saying that outloud.

- if she ever sees her s/o feeling down or insecure about themselves, be ready for her to start rambling about he/her. About how gorgeous, wonderful and how much Izumo adored him/her. By the end of her speech, she’d be as beat red as a tomato, that s/o would be the one worried about her health.
