Hello! I was wondering what materials you use in your art! Your pieces tend to have a distinct texture which is really cool!

hiya moth!! first of all, thank you so much for the ask! i'm honored that you stopped in!!

and thank you again! i draw in an artsmith sketchbook and i've been using pigma graphic pens to do my lineart. i just got a set of ohuhu markers for my colors! and honestly, i owe a lot of the texture of my art to my phone camera! if i get it in the right light, the fibers of the paper really show :)

Bestie, you have to stop being so self-deprecating. In the past like 24 hours I saw you degrade yourself multiple times for different things in the tags. I get it, I 100% do, but you wouldn't say those things about anyone's else art or abilities. You don't have to love the things you create, but maybe start to see that they still have merit to others, and yourself as an outlet if nothing else. Even if you're not that proud of the end result. A more neutral approach, and maybe in the future it could even become positive. I'm sorry for overstepping, I also don't expect or want any response to this, but maybe you can show yourself a little kindness now and then, rewire your brain that way, bc it's going to poison every little thought otherwise. I'm fighting the same fight, so I know it's hard

I feel like Monoma was the mouth piece for people who actually raised logical and important questions pertaining to the class 1A and other stuff. Notice how he's quickly shunned, ridiculed. mocked at and used as a gag every time he is onscreen. It's like Hori is more than AWARE of what he's doing so he's using one of his characters to represent people like us to insult and shut us up and tell us to think like the rest, that including his cast of characters and the majority of this god forsaken fandom. When it comes to Hori, I cant separate the art from the artist at this point. What do you feel?

To be honest, I don't think Hori meant for that to happen- at least not at first. The Monoma that was introduced in the Sports Festival arc is a bit difference from the Monoma in more recent arcs.

I think Hori genuinely liked Monoma at first, and wanted to set him up as a minor character that would challenge bkg (it was never about Izuku, was it?) and showcase his growth.

But Monoma received so much hate from fans because he spoke against class A that Hori chickened out and turned him into a gag lmao

I do think Hori (kind of) likes Monoma since he gave him a (kind of) major moment in the war, as well as showed him comforting Eri. Even so, it's clear that he doesn't care about Monoma enough- the asspull after asspull Shiggy & Gang™ keep performing have turned Monoma's efforts effectively useless and everyone's forgotten about him, again :')

I do think you're right, though. Although Hori didn't intend for it to happen, he quickly turned Monoma into a manic mouthpiece for the people that have valid, rational criticisms against some of the things in his story. And you're right, the way he's treated and immediately shut down, even by his own friends, despite being right... if I were Hori, it'd feel pretty damn cathartic lmaoo. Hori comes off as so insanely petty sometimes sighh

Also, the fact that Monoma's not present in any of panels in which Class A and Class B hang out? Hori knows what he wrote Monoma as and that's the reason he can't let Monoma see Class A as just people. Monoma's an empathetic person- he understands people well and cares very deeply for his loved ones. Imagine if he saw Class A as just themselves! Not caricatures he angrily imagines in his head or the way they're painted in the news. He'd feel awful lmfao, and he'd end up liking most of class A. Even so, he'd still hate bkg, and Hori isn't going to let Monoma single bkg out.

It still doesn't mean Monoma's just a mouthpiece though- he's still his own character, he just also serves as a convenient prop sometimes.

Also, kind of irrelevant but can you like imagine Monoma's reaction if he heard of how Class A treated Izuku when he tried to run away from them in his Vigilante arc? Izuku's motivations, while self sacrificing, were noble. The way he was?? Aggressively smacked down and restrained?? I don't recall exactly what happened because there was no Monoma in those panels but I can remember my rage when I read that 😭

As for bkg's "apology..." I'm not even going there pfft

what do you think happened on morkday's shopping trip that cause day to wander off the streets by himself? i think he was tryna get help after seeing mork get beaten up...?

OKAY SO. first of all im already gonna apologize because instead of giving you a short and direct answer like any normal person would, im taking this chance to present my entire theory about what's gonna happen. please scroll down to the tl;dr at the end to save yourself from my clownery ;;;;;;

that being said, here's what i think the timeline is gonna be. the trailer has shown us a shot of mork wearing an ankle tracker, so i think everything starts with this:

it's still hard to see even if i've brightened it up a little, but here you have phorjai crying and mork behind bars wearing his mechanic clothes. i think before our story starts, mork did something to land him in jail, most likely for beating someone up like it's hinted in the trailer. i also think mork going to jail is the reason he and phorjai break up: he probably thinks she deserve better, and as much as she loves him, it's hard to be with someone who's not there. at the beginning of the show, mork probably gets paroled (hence the ankle tracker), which however comes with two essential conditions: 1) finding a stable job, and 2) good behavior. people aren't very inclined to hire an ex-convict tho, so mork keeps getting rejected

it's probably why mork barged in so aggressively when he thought they weren't allowing him to take an interview: if he doesn't get a job, he's gonna go back to jail. and that's when he meets day. day who can't see the ankle tracker around his ankle (and probably wouldn't care about it even if he could) and who isn't put off by his rough behaviour

so mork gets a job and manages to stay (mostly) out of trouble, until at some point he and day are out shopping and the worst happens: someone probably ends up provoking mork in some way, or maybe even tries to go for day, and even if he should know better at that point, mork reacts. badly. and beating up someone (which is what most likely landed him in jail the first time) in broad daylight in a public space with tons of people as witnesses is very much the wrong thing to do

i honestly wouldn't be surprised if someone called the cops and mork got arrested once again. now think about day in this situation. day who can't see what's happening and who we know, from the oishi honey lemon 0% sugar video we got, doesn't even have his cane to help him walk around because he was fully relying on mork's guidance. he's suddenly gonna find himself completely alone amidst the chaos, in a place he's not familiar with and with no way to tell where he should go or where mork is (and isn't that gonna make mork feel so devastatingly guilty)

so yeah, tl;dr: i think during the fight mork and day are gonna get separated, and day is gonna slightly panic trying to find mork again and navigate the place without any type of guidance

Now that I've reached my goal of +10ing my boy, and since my time is (unfortunately) still quite limited due to work, I'm going to be closing comms tomorrow! So, if you have an idea and haven't decided if you want to commit or not yet, now's your last chance for the time being! ;) And to all those who have already paid, I know I do still have quite a few to get through- I was a FOOL to think I could just bang these out in 24 hours, lol, but please rest assured they will be coming within the next few days!!
