Y/N never really had a stable relationship in her life, with her growing fame as a singer came the unfortunate price of her privacy being non existent, while she was more than appreciative of her fans and their long time support, their supposed protectiveness had been the root of why two of her last relationships were an unfortunate failure, and why she'd been so scared to open herself up again for any man at that point, instead choosing to pour her focus on working to create art that'll resonate with people, and through music - she had met the man she firmly believes is the reason that color has reentered her life once again.

Christian Pulisic.

She'd been asked to sing at the event to honor and celebrate the USMNT on winning the CONCACAF cup, that was when one of her close friends, Gio Reyna decided to play matchmaker and introduce her to Christian as in his words, you need to meet him, he's literally your biggest fan. Christian was the picture perfect image of what a sweet man should be, while shy for the most part; they'd managed to get along with Gio jokingly chiming in and saying, " I better be your first kid's godfather, girl or boy I don't care "

They worked around their schedules, Christian at the time was playing for Chelsea Football Club and Y/N lived in New York City - and each time they had free time, she would either travel to London to see him play and support, or he would travel to New York to see her, almost always being present to support her through the making of her new music, their relationship wasn't free of arguments, every now and then Christian would subtly bring up the prospect of them living together in London, and while Y/N loved him dearly, she feared the public realizing their relationship as the pair continuously remained mum, choosing to be as private and secretive as they can.

With a tough season at Chelsea, between the management and the rather unfortunate rebuilding which saw several of the key players depart from the club, Christian had accepted the offer from AC Milan and had informed Y/N about it, " I didn't want to do this without you knowing " He began, " I want you to be there every step of the way "

" And I am always with you baby, no matter what happens " She smiles, pressing a kiss to his cheek before shuffling closer to him as the pair laid down together on his bed.

A wave of silence takes over as neither one wanted to address the obvious and lingering problem that's been hanging in the air, " Y/N, baby " Christian murmurs, pressing a kiss to her shoulder.

" Yeah " Y/N whispers, refusing to look at him as she had an inkling feeling on which direction the conversation was going.

" Have you given any thought about it? " Christian asks. " About us moving together "

" Chris " Y/N whispers with a frown, she would be lying if she said she didn't think about it, yet the daunting feeling of the paparazzi following her every move, and her fans throwing any kind of hate to Christian flashed before her eyes. " I just ... "

Christian nuzzled his face in her neck, " Baby " the word comes out slight muffled coupled with a soft kiss that instinctively had her relaxing in his embrace, " You can work from there, and if there is anything necessary you can fly back to the US "

Y/N remained silent, debating on the idea; it wouldn't be too bad as the pair were closing in on two years together. " I'll think about it " she said, turning her head slightly to press a kiss to his cheek.

" Good enough for me " Christian beams, tightening his embrace as they both fell asleep.

With his move to Italy, and her traveling back to the US; the pair remained in contact through facetime calls, text messages and occasional voice calls when neither one is free. And once her album was out for the world to listen to, and she had wrapped up all related promotions, Christian had called her that night to congratulate her and also surprise her with an all paid flight to Milan, which was exactly what Y/N needed to relax and unwind, as well as finally see Christian after so long.

Once she landed in Milan, Christian was there waiting for her and to say that she missed him would be an understatement, their kiss was of longing and pure unconditional love.

Christian drives straight to his new home, and along the way he tells her all about how his season was going, " I'm telling you babe, I feel so comfortable here " he continues talking about he feels more at ease then he was back in Chelsea.

" I'm proud of you baby " Y/N states with a loving gaze, reaching to grasp his free hand squeeze it, " It was worth staying up and watching every singe match "

" I'm so glad they gave you this time off because I plan on spending every waking moment of my free time with you " Christian said, lifting her hand to press a kiss on it.

And true to his word, whenever he was in training; she took the chance to explore Milan alone, and when he was finished with training he'd take her out on dates and spend their nights, making up for lost time with soft kisses and touches, and during one of those nights while they laid entangled in each other's arms that Christian had brought up the subject yet again.

" Baby " Christian breaks the silence between them, pressing a kiss to her shoulder blade,

" Yes " She responds with a soft smile.

" This apartment feels lonely sometimes " Christian said, subtly dancing around the topic at first. " I mean ... don't get me wrong, I love my teammates, they're always trying to cheer me up but, some times I feel alone and - um - I've been thinking about it "

Y/N giggles, and swiftly turns to face him; placing her palm across his cheek and stroking her thumb back and forth, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips, smiling when she felt his arm snake its way around her waist to pull her flush against him. " I talked to my manager, my record label and everyone around me " she whispers, digits instinctively toying with his chain. " They've all been nothing but supportive and helped me make my decision "

Christian's brows furrowed, " What do you mean? "

" It's going to take a while to get everything I need but ... " Y/N smiles widely, " It's going to take a while for me to get around but I think I can learn Italian " she adds, " and ... if I need to practice, surely a lot of people will be down to hear me sing "

Christian beams, " Are you saying what I think you're saying? "

Y/N pulls Christian in for a gentle and passionate kiss, " That should answer your question, so Pulisic, you better make room for me cause I will be here for a while "

Christian tightens his embrace, pressing yet another kiss to her lips before he said. " I love you, I love you so much baby "

dsmp characters as valo mains

my credentials are im iron 3 and watch a shit ton of foolish and etoiles valo streams :) based on fighting styles mostly cause i. love thinking about their fighting styles

ctommy - gekko creatures! so many creatures! also i feel like he would want the spike every round and be the first to peak every corner.

ctubbo - cypher very sneaky. teammates just give him half of the map to hold by himself. always by himself despite not having any offensive util. still carries every game best agent i love you!!!

cranboo - phoenix self-sufficient kit, also able to provide cover for teammates. still manages to bottom frag every game.

cwilbur - killjoy ho16 is some shit only a killjoy main would pull. setting up some cringe lineups and playing offsite so you don't actually have to shoot your gun. also the ult is clearing an area of the map without killing anyone which is basically plan bomb.

cquackity - brimstone sorry cq but im giving you brim cause ive never known a brim main that was good at the game. completely dogshit always all they do is sit in corners with a shotgun. just play support and whiff your ult like you're supposed to.

cdream - chamber controversial but like. its an agent dependent on accuracy and playing cringe and being toxic. got a massive nerf and is now unplayable.

cpunz - sage cpunz is literally dreams pocket sage. ult is a resurrection. both a support character and an offensive character.

ctechno - raze kaboom i mean. what do you want me to say. high damage good movement. requires you to be good at the game. teammates take him for granted and enemies hate his ass.

cphil - sova dogshit agent with horrible util but if you're in a 1-v-1 with him you are losing. snipes you clear across the map and then all his teammates come and fuck your shit. super non toxic which just makes you hate him more.

cniki - skye generally regarded as support character until they have to clutch a 1-v-5 because their teammates all suck and then they clutch the fuck out of it. this is my main hi niki nihachu !!!

cschlatt - reyna weird pick but reyna doesnt really have any abilities if you arent killing people but if you are its super strong. very imbalanced its either you are dying first every round or hitting an ace.

csapnap - omen every time i see someone be really good at omen i wonder why they arent playing a good agent instead. which reminds me of csap. pls just play yoru or something

csam - deadlock cause prison warden get it??? hahah. deadlocks use all their abilities on one person and still they end up killing her cause shes a terrible agent. L

cponk - breach in theory super strong but in practice i always wish i just had like. anyone else.

cjack manifold - KAY/O i almost forgot you just like i always forget KAY/O exists. even when theres a kay/o on my team i forget about it. also robot hc.

cslime - viper slime goop. falls apart whenever anyone actually attacks them but crucial for the team.

How I’d rewrite HOO with my Dream Team Seven P.2

I bet your thinking I’m about to do the son of Neptune? Well your wrong this post is going to be about the Quest for Buford. Except I’m redoing it so that we can focus on some pretty big things that happened in my Lost Hero rewrite. For all of you that didn’t see the post or just didn’t read it. I’ll summarize what happens for you.

Hunters of Artemis are annihilated like all of them are dead.

Thalia gets her arm sliced off

Leo and his Cabin-Mates have tension

Jason has all his memories back and as such is lowkey suffering

So basically what I’m going to do is retool the side story Quest for Buford so that it has more impact on the characters as a whole. So let’s just hop right in so that I can geek out on you. But let me just tell you the title of the new side book.

Back In Black

(Get it cause Thalia is wearing the black leather jacket instead of the silver hunting one. It’s also a reference to the AC DC album)

Let cover the main characters of this book.

Thalia Grace

The main character is this side book because let’s be honest we deserves some more of her as a main character. Here Thalia is still basically adjusting to having her life flipped on it’s head but has the support of her brother (Jason) and old friends (Annabeth & Percy). The quest of this book is that Artemis gives her a quest to hunt down a big game and prove herself “worthy” of being a hunter of Artemis again. She has a time limit of a week before she is just kicked out of the Hunters. (Even though she is the only Hunter left). The reason she has to prove herself is because she basically abandoned them in my rewrite to help Jason with his quest. But where will she find big game? Well that’s where another main character comes in.

Leo Valdez

Here Leo serves sorta the same role he served in Quest for Buford. That role being the comic relief and creator of conflict. So yeah the same thing happens with Buford running off except he runs off because Leo and sibling have an argument which scares Buford. Who has the part Leo needs and a little something else. The details of the argument aren’t said until later. So yeah he goes to recruit help to find Buford. That help being Jason,Drew,and Thalia. Sadly Drew can’t help because she is still trying to smooth things out with her cabin. So that leaves Thalia,Leo,and Jason to contain the problem. Speaking of Jason.

Jason Grace

You think that Jason would be doing a little better since he has all of his memories back. Well you’d be wrong because his relationship with Piper is on the rocks thanks to the memory of Reyna,his sister is suffering and now has to do a dangerous quest,and he feels like everyone is against him since he is a Roman in a Greek camp. So yeah Jason isn’t doing too good. When Leo comes to get him he is happy because he needs a distraction from everything.

The Story

Now all the cards of this story are set and the players are in their places. Now let’s get this story started cause it’s Thalia time baby.

So the story opens on Thalia going through her recovery period. We see how hard it is for Thalia to operate with one arm and get a deep dive into her thoughts about the Hunters Annihilation. This eventually links to the Luke and the Great Prophecy situation. However as usual Thalia tries to keep things under wraps while with her friends because she doesn’t want to admit to a weakness such as when she got angry at Percy for talking about her fear of heights when he found out. We then get a sweet moment between Annabeth and Thalia just talking about the whole Luke situation and closing the conversation with Annabeth saying she’s happy that Thalia is around more often.

Which makes Thalia think some more on why she joined the Hunters aside from Zoe’s death and escaping the Prophecy and eventually just comes up blank. Though before she can really do some more thinking Artemis appears before her and scolds her for leaving the Hunters behind for a male. This brings back Thalia’s guilt about the situation full force. Then Artemis let’s her what she has to do to prove herself worthy of being a Hunter again.

Right after Artemis leaves,Jason and Leo basically bust down her door and tell her they need her help with finding Buford. Of course Thalia is gonna help because remember right now she thinks that she failed the Hunters so helping out her little brother will make her feel a little better. But Chiron basically stops them and says Thalia is still recovering and they will need to leave. The boys are bummed and frustrated but Thalia tells them to just come at night and she’ll sneak out to help them. This earns her a point in Leo’s book cause remember he’s a troublemaker and sneaking out is cool in his book.

(I’m trying make Thalia & Leo a couple but I have to build up their friendship first for it to work. Also Leo needs serious character growth)

So anyway they come to get Thalia at night and she sneaks out of the infirmary. They then continue on their way into the forest. Along the way Jason,and Thalia ask Leo what he needs their help for. Leo then tells them about the whole argument with siblings and Buford running away but doesn’t give the details for what the argument was about. They say if his siblings are bothering him they can talk to them. To which Leo responds that he doesn’t want their pity just their help.

(In this rewrite the part that Buford has helps make the ship fly so their won’t be some life erasing explosion in this version)

Eventually they happen upon the Maeneds that worship Dionysus. So yeah they see them tear apart a dragon with their bare hands and wisely decide to move away from them. However Leo notices that Buford was torn apart by the Maeneds but the storage part of him that has the stuff is fine. Thalia also realizes that the Maeneds would make excellent big game because of how dangerous they are and if she traps them without hurting them she’ll win back Artemis’s favor. So now they decide to worry about that tomorrow and sleep on it.

When they wake up tomorrow Thalia is deemed fit enough to be let out of the infirmary by Will Solace. (I figured I might as well show he exist before Blood of Olympus) Thalia now only has 6 days left to catch the Maeneds. Leo then calls the group back together and they go back to the clearing and see the Maeneds are gone but Buford’s compartment is still where it was the night before. Leo then runs down grabs the compartment and comes back to the siblings. He now has the part he needs and that little something else.

He then shows what it is to reveal a robot arm for Thalia. He tells her they are a bunch of functions like a built in bow,shield,and even a net thrower. She ask why he made this for her. He says that he made it because he didn’t want his friend to look so down. She then pulls Leo into a hug while thanking him. This is important because this it helps build up these twos friendship before they move into crush territory. Leo is embarrassed because he’s not used to people giving him physical affection.

We then see Thalia now equipped with her robot arm try and track down the Maeneds. With Jason and Leo being her backup. We the run into the Maeneds again but they struggle because the Maeneds are just way stronger at this point than any of them. So they have to think smart. This is where Thalia’s leadership skills get to shine. She tells Leo to do a smokescreen on the Maeneds. Then for Jason to hit them with some lightning while she runs in to get them while they’re disoriented.

The plan sorta works because Leo’s smokescreen disorients the Maeneds and the lightning does strike them but most of them manage to get away with Thalia only managing to net one and even then she can sorta get out if she struggles hard enough. The three then reconvene and determine that this won’t work unless they have a bigger advantage of surprise. The Maened then breaks the net and runs away leaving them to try again tomorrow.

We open the next day with Thalia trying out the crossbow function of her new robot arm and with Leo supervising it to make sure it works. Jason then comes in and ask how the arm is. Thalia says she likes it with Leo joking that of course she would like it. Jason then asks for a sparring to really test it out. Thalia accepts and they duke it out. Here we see a big difference of fighting style between Greeks and Romans.

The difference between the two is that the Romans have a more defense style focused on tiring out their opponents. While the Greeks fight more aggressively and try to take their opponents down quickly. We even see this is the canon book series with Jason fighting more defensive while Percy is all about slashing and killing.

Eventually it comes down to a draw though only because Jason’s mind wasn’t completely on the fight and focused on something else. Thalia being the good big sister she is notices and ask about it. Where we learn that Jason’s relationship is on the rocks because of him remembering his old life at New Rome and how he’s different from the person Piper remembers.

Thalia said hen chimes in and tells him that of course he’s different from the person Piper remembers because he isn’t that person. That the person Piper remembers is the person Hera wants her to remember. She then ends it off with saying that no matter what person he is he will always be her little brother and she will always be there. They then end off the conversation with a hug between brother and sister.

We then fast forward to the last day that Thalia has to catch the Maeneds and prove herself. We then get some internal monologue about the whole quest and her thoughts about the whole new friends and past family she now has. We get the final assault on the Maeneds with the same strategy as the last time except Thalia is no longer rusty and Leo now has sleep has to use on them all.

Jason then ask why Thalia wanted to capture them with Thalia spilling the beans about the whole quest Artemis gave her. After spilling the beans,Artemis appears in a brilliant flash of silver. She then basically gives a whole spiel of how Thalia is now worthy and now she just has to come with her. Thalia is initially ecstatic because she can go back to some semblance of normalcy.

Then as she turns around to say some goodbyes she see how sad Jason & Leo are. This then triggers her to remember the talk with Annabeth about Luke. This cause her to realize that she’s been running for away from from all the problems in her life. She then decides not to run for once.

So yeah ultimately Thalia thanks Artemis for allowing her to be Hunter but she wants to stay with her friends and family. So yeah then they walk back to Camp-HalfBlood joking all the way there.

Conclusion

So yeah now I completed all the things I feel like I needed to complete before I move onto my Son of Neptune rewrite. I have effectively made Thalia stay in Cqmp and develop a tiny bit. Drew is more than a one dimensional bully archetype. Jason is building more of a character. Leo is decent as always around this part of the series but having the changes to keep his character consistent.

Well now I feel I’m ready to the Son of Neptune but not right now the long post format is getting to me and shifted interest a little bit back to the teen titans and DC whole. (Though I will probably be making long post about DC so watch out for those cause boy do I have some opinions)

Reyna’s problem in HOO and TOA is amatonormativity

I covered this in detail (with excerpts from the text to prove my point) in the essay I wrote on Reyna’s romance arc (or rather, lack of a romance arc) a few years ago, when Rick tweeted that he had her being ace in mind when he wrote her, but basically: Reyna believes throughout HOO that she needs a romantic partner in order to get support and be happy. She’s highly stressed throughout that time, being the only Praetor around for the entirety of it. Jason is missing for half of that time, and for the other half, the Legion is gearing up for a war that Reyna doesn’t believe in. It’s no wonder she turns to what she’s been told is the strongest, most stabilizing relationship a person can have: a romantic relationship.

By the time TOA rolls around, Reyna isn’t so eager for a romantic relationship. She has strong relationships now, and the entire weight of the Legion doesn’t rest on her shoulders. At this point, it’s mostly outside pressure that’s pushing her towards a relationship, with her getting annoyed at how her fellow legionnaires keep trying to get her to date someone and wondering why she ISN’T dating already (specifically when it comes to her friendship with Thalia). Her arc concludes in TTT with her realizing that she doesn’t have to worry about dating anyone, until and unless she’s actually ready for it, no matter how much other people may be expecting her to. She’s fine without it.

Another note, because I know this comes up a lot: I don’t think the text actually supports Reyna being under the pressure of compulsive heterosexuality. While Reyna only ever considers dating male partners, I think that it’s because she leans hetero, rather than her perceiving any outside pressure to do so. (asexuality and aromanticism exist on more of a fuzzy spectrum than as discrete categories, hence why she can lean hetero and still be aspec). The outside pressure from the other legionnaires is explicitly towards both boys AND girls, with an equal interest in both options. While it’s technically possible that she might have some internalized comphet from her childhood, I don’t see any evidence that that is actually the case.

Valorant Ladies and Asexual! S/O

Sage, Skye, and Killjoy are well informed on the topic. They don't make a big deal about it and are very casual. All three would discuss your boundaries. Sage would do so politely, approaching you for a sit down and handling everything delicately. Skye would get you one on one and just ask flat out for you to explain your limits. Killjoy would just randomly and abruptly ask what you are okay with as well as any specific questions regarding how you experience asexuality.

Jett, Neon, Raze, and Reyna would be initially confused. Jett, Neon, and Raze would take a lot of explaining while Reyna would easily understand after a brief explanation or would look it up herself. Jett would be entirely chill with it, not even pushing you for specific unless you want to share and would always ask if you were okay with her mentioning certain things around you. Neon would be a bit awkward and a little self conscious at first but after some time she's entirely fine, buying you little things with the ace flag and kind of randomly asking what things you're okay with if any. Raze would give you large amounts of support, treating it like you told her any other thing about you. Reyna would be very loving and would ask you for as many details as you are willing to provide, she would become very protective of you as well.

Astra and Fade would take some explaining to understand what asexuality is. Both would have the sudden realization that there is a name for that, Fade because she feels that way and Astra because she feels the opposite. Both would be very supportive and loving, setting boundaries as well as educating themselves.

ANNABETH, chief of surgery w/ trauma specialty. She was chief resident and head of trauma before becoming chief. head of trauma before her was Luke Castellan. But he died tragically in Grey's fashion (Nat's words not mine)

PERCY, head of pediatric surgery, has been with the hospital since his internship and doesn't plan on going anywhere. He and Annabeth are OBVIOUSLY the Merder of this world. I don't make the rules.

PIPER, cardio attending and is best at what she does. Her and Leo came in in their third year of residency together and are thick as thieves. They also, by Grey's law, definitely have slept together on more than one occasion. I'm think a Mark Sloan/Callie Torres type vibe.

LEO, head of orthopedics. It just makes sense I'm sorry. He USED to be the hospital playboy but then he had his ace-aro awakening and now he's just some fucking guy.

WILL, ortho fellow. Is known to take on the grodiest most traumatic cases ortho can find along with Leo. If Leo's diving in the deep and, Will's going with him baby.

CALYPSO, Everyone's favorite scrub nurse. She's just here to for support but also does cuss out the doctors when they start bickering over an open body

NICO, first year resident, but shows special interest in neuro surgery. Works closely with Jason.

JASON, head of neuro. Nico's his little guy who he picked up on accident. Sometimes (a lot of the time) Frank will schedule Nico to other attendings and both will throw a fit.

FRANK, chief resident! He shows interest in plastics, but he's damned good at his job. Everyone jokes that Annabeth is molding him to be the next chief.

HAZEL, general fellow. She likes to be everywhere doing everything, she likes to jump in when needed. She's also known to help Frank with his chief resident duties.

THALIA, neuro attending She and Jason are like the Shepherds of the hospital, but gender swapped. THALIA stepped down as chief of neuro once Jason wanted the position, but they regularly get in pissing matches over good cases.

MEG, littol baby intern. She's like, on her third day on the job if that. Percy's taken a liking to her, so she gets a lot of peds cases but she will venture very openly throughout the hospital and the specialties.

LESTER, repeat intern :// cringe fail of him.

REYNA, head of trauma. She's a vet who's trained for field surgery but came back and started working as a civilian doctor again (think Owen Hunt) (If you have a bad word to say about that man, this is NOT the place for you. We are PRO Owen Hunt). Her and Thalia are fucking besties. Cristina and Meredith type beat. Twisted sisters.

GROVER, peds attending. He's one of those characters like Olivia in the early seasons or Ross and Heather in that intern cycle that is like, an established guy with established lore and an arc, but just had one arc and still comes on from time to time to help drive a narrative.

Oh yeah, I wrote an analysis about Reyna's sexuality soon after Rick's tweet that I think you might like. I was really happy to see that tweet, since I'm ace myself, and there just isn't much representation out there for us, and even less that has a character struggle to figure it out, which I did. It's still not that well-known of an identity, which can make it hard to figure out that it's even a possibility.

I was pretty shocked and saddened when groups of Theyna shippers attacked the idea of Reyna being ace, but they appeared to mostly clam down after a week or so at least, and a lot of people were actually pretty supportive. I'm just really glad she's ace, and I hope that's even more explicit in the TV show, assuming that HOO and TOA get adapted (I really hope they get adapted, I absolutely adore TOA especially).

The rant I made was definitely more focused on the arophobic side of romantic Theyna cause Theyna shippers think that a single tweet can erase like an entire chapter worth of talking about purely romance. And I don’t mean to imply she’s not asexual or that it’s irrelevant, I just despise seeing that fact be weaponized against any arguments against accusations of arophobia/aphobia under the assumption they’re the same thing.
