for whatever reason I started thinking about if beanix hung out with Larry during the 7yg like how their vibes woulda been
but then I immediately imagined Larry crashing one of Nick and Kristophs' dinner dates and after 5 minutes Nick ditches them "to go find the bathroom" and just never returns subjecting Kris to 1:1 time with Larry Butz.
How long would Kristoph sit and put up with it before he leaves and sends Phoenix couple of pissed off passive agressive texts????
Larry immediately forgets why he was there in the first place after Kris leaves because he's distracted by a beautiful waitress

THANK YOU and that asker for bringing up the East Blue pacing!!! I feel crazy when people talk about it negatively. Early pacing in the series was fine, and even the filler arcs are MUCH better than stretching only one chapter into an episode imo. The animation is old, yeah, but it's charming and cute and has character. I'd honestly just love for them to start at Dressrosa and go from there snskfjdjg
sobs I'm also very confused cause I really don't think the east blue or alabasta pacing was bad at all, there was like barely ANY filler but it's so easy to just...skip the filler if you want? Idk it's very strange to me, especially considering I watched it all in 2021 and didn't notice anything insane.
Cause people keep bringing up Skypiea pacing being bad, but I genuinely think there's a difference between bad pacing and what people found to be boring. I didn't find a single part of Skypiea boring and was invested in all I was seeing, so when I keep getting hit with "but the Skypiea pacing" I can't help but wonder if these watchers/readers just didn't like Skypiea in general HHH

My thoughts for what I think the new Helluva episode is ganna be like:
- Probably more Moxxie’s a wimp jokes/crude pegging jokes regarding Millie and how his wife takes charge in the relationship
- Crimson is either just going to be a jerk or actually evil with an evil plan that kicks off the fight scene later.
- More Blitz being a dick yet slightly supportive of Moxxie so they can show that he also “cares”.
- Maybe another “Moxxie’s fat” joke since the writers are obsessed with that joke for some reason.
- Millie does nothing throughout the entire episode besides stand there, yell and be aggressive at Chaz and only then moves once the epic shark mafia fight scene happens, which will probably take up the majority of the last few minutes of the episode.
- Bonus points if Crimson and Blitz end up having this weird sexual tension like Blitz and Striker did.
- More Moxxie going through the same damn arc of learning he’s enough the way he is but his bad boi daddy berates him. I’m expecting a “bad ass” moment of Moxxie standing up for himself and pointing the gun at his father to one up him.
- Definitely more mlm fetishization and a hyper sexual Chaz with many dick jokes and gay jokes because we already know he’s going to sing a song about how much he wants to bone Moxxie.
- The episode will probably be about 22 minutes like the previous one and yet I have the feeling most of it will be the characters just sitting around until the fight scene happens, aka I feel like most of this is ganna be pointless filler.
- Either Crimson is ganna stay evil by the end or they’ll pull another abusive ass lesson of “I was just tryna toughen you up” at an attempt for an emotional heartfelt scene.
- Stolas will probably not be in this episode but he might be mentioned once so the fans can get their daily Stolitz fanservice, unless the episode is ganna act like the previous one never happened and portray Blitz as sad again. Bonus points if they actually DO cram Stolas in here since I know Viv can’t go one second without shoving him into every episode.
- This episode will probably be better animation wise but fast paced.
- Blitz honestly seems like he doesn’t need to be in this episode at all unless they’re doing the same thing they did in episode 5 where they PAINT it as another character’s episode but then turn it into a Blitz episode.
- I’m expecting another “Uwu pity Blitz” scene, maybe Crimson tries to manipulate him or just spew cliche hurtful things but either way I feel like they’ll find a way to have Blitz be the main star for the episode.
- The episode will probably get revolved and end in another rushed half assed way.
And that’s all I got. Again I’m not watching the episode but I can’t wait to see what other critic blogs think, and once I read the events of what happened, I’ll just go off from that.

Coming from an exclusively manga reader, what is it about the One Piece anime that makes it such a bad adaptation?
Hello! ^^ Sorry for taking a while to answer.
I explained some of it in this other ask: here to the post
But there's a lot more changes in the Anime that really matter in how a character is portrayed. I'll explain the 3 i can think of right now without thinking too much (and without any particular order). I'd love to get into more detail for each one, but tumblr posts have limits on images, so i'd have to do a post for each one ^^u
(Also, again: you can like the Anime. As I said before, I've watched the entire Anime 3 times this last year. But you can enjoy something and still know it's flawed. Very flawed, even.)
(SPOILERS AHEAD for Sabaody, Post-Alabasta and Separation Arc).
Let's start with Sabaody, when Kuma is poofing everyone. Specifically Franky-Nami-Chopper-Robin's poof. (Chapter 513 in the Manga, Episode 405 in the Anime) In the Manga (6 pages):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All the action is very fast. Franky tries to attack Kuma and gets poofed right away, without even noticing that Luffy punched Kuma and got rejected. Nami is terrified of what's happening and asks Luffy for help before being poofed. Robin is mostly worried about Luffy and his mental state, trying to maintain him out of harm, and she runs when she has to, because she is used to running and surviving. Luffy is running and punching non stop, getting up instantly when he falls down, not losing a single second to try to save everyone... Until there's no one else to save.
Now let's look at the Anime: First, Franky gets to attack Kuma fully before Luffy even gets close to them. Luffy attacks twice and gets rejected. Franky worries about Luffy, distracting himself from Kuma and that's why he gets poofed.
Then we get Nami, with a bit of slow motion to intensify the feeling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then Luffy stops fighting to catch his breath, looking at the floor.
We get a flashback of Nami asking for help, something that happened right before the intermission. But this is not the way to repeat this information. Don't make Luffy stop to catch his breath. It is the opposite of his whole personality.
He then reacts to the flashback and starts running towards Kuma to punch him, but Kuma teleports and Luffy falls. Again: long recovery time for Luffy because he fell to the floor. Chopper gets poofed and then Luffy just... stops. He looks while Kuma gets closer and closer to Robin, and begs. After that he starts running towards Robin to help. I get that they want to get more screen time, but why changing his personality? Why would Luffy beg an enemy to stop when he can still do something about it?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we get the same scene as with Nami: Robin is helplessly waiting for Kuma to poof her. Not running away, just frozen in fear. Why?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They literally treated Nami and Robin as if they were the same person. They changed Robin's personality just for drama.
Is it intense? Yes. But you can not do that sacrificing characters personalities and traits. That is not a good adaptation.
--- Going way back to Post Alabasta: Chopper and trusting Robin.
In the Manga (Chapter 218), from the moment Luffy says Robin is a good person, he believes it and proceeds to trust Robin.
Tumblr media
The only one not convinced is Zoro (who doesn't fully trust her until Water 7), because he is very protective of the crew.
And then we directly start the Jaya Arc.
In the Anime (episode 130-131), in Episode 130 they kind of made a good adaptation of Chapter 218. But then in Episode 131 (which is filler, but of course not everyone knows it), mixed with all the nonsense they did, they also made Chopper not trust Robin, not caring for Luffy's words.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This just goes against everything Chopper and Luffy's relationship is. It's just annoying.
Also we don't start Jaya Arc until episode 144. 13 Episodes of fillers, of nothing relevant, but as I said... anime watcher don't normally know what is filler and what isn't. And these episodes show changes in the characters personalities and One Piece story that are terrible.
---
Jumping to Post-War Arc and Cover Stories (Straw Hat's Separation Serial)
And lastly (because I can't put more images in this post xD) I'll be centering specifically on Sanji's Separation Arc part, even tho all of them are very changed.
In the Manga, (Chapter 523 and Covers of Chapter 543 and 544) we see Sanji running away, insisting that he doesn't have a maiden's heart like them, then being captured and dressed against his will.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why did he let them dress him? Because he didn't fight back when they captured him. He just can't attack them, as they have maiden's hearts, which means they are women.
And then, when he receives notice of what happened to Luffy, he takes off everything they put on him and begs Ivankov for more information and/or a ship (Chapter 593). When he receives the secret message from Luffy (3D2Y) (Chapter 594-595) he changes his objective: stealing the 99 Vital Recipes of the 99 New Kama Karate Masters that are in the Island.
Emphasis on STEALING. Why? Because Sanji won't attack them or harm them, as they have hearts of maidens. He would never attack a woman, no matter how unattractive or ugly she is for him.
He is never shown attacking them in the manga.
What does the Anime do with all of this? (Episodes: 419, 454, 510-514)
These episodes are a train wreck.
We start with Sanji following and flirting with a random woman. Then he notices "it's not a lady" and starts trying to escape.
We also have a random new character called Caroline, who is the substitute Queen of Kamabakka. Sanji challenges her to a duel so she gives him a boat to leave.
To fight, Sanji gets dressed in the "traditional battle outfit" of the island, and he even tho he fights to kill at first, he is too worried of not having his panties seen to fight properly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And in the end he "loses sight of who he really is" and ends up dressing like the girls voluntarily.
Tumblr media
Then Ivankov comes back with news (in his woman form) and Sanji tries to fight his attraction to her "knowing what she really is" and that he likes real women. Again... the anime decides to make Sanji very transphobic. I'm not saying he doesn't have faults, but not to this degree of making no sense as a character.
Anyway, when he changes his objective from escaping the island to learning the 99 recipes, he... fights for them. He also fights with all his might.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is not the first time Sanji's character is completely destroyed in the Anime. It also won't be the last one.
--
And this is just another tiny list of the things the Anime changes that make the characters literally other people to me.
Sadly i can't fit more things in this post, like the Long Ring Long Island Arc, where Luffy accepts Foxy's Davy Back Fight twice because "it was fun". Or Zoro being bullied by a random lady in Water 7 to be a baby sitter...
It may not be important to someone else, but for me this type of things are crucial to the characters ^^U and if you change all the "little things", you lose what really makes them who they are
Thank you for reading so much and I hope it made sense! :Du (sorry for the broken english, not my native language)

How many times does Kagome ‘Sit’ Inuyasha?
Since I always complain about the anime making a lot of things worse, including Kagome’s use of the sit command, I decided to back up what I’m saying with some actual data.
So I present to you: The ultimate Osuwari/Sit count.
Let’s start with the manga, the real canon. I went over all the chapters, including the bonus chapter 559 / Since Then, and here are the results:
Tumblr media
Total ‘Sit’ count in the manga: 56
Highest number of sits in a row: 8  → Reason: Inuyasha was trying to destroy the well using a boulder (chapter 23) Other times she used the beads repetitively:  4 times in chapter 249 →  After he tried to pick up a fight with her when she was in a bad mood because they met Kikyo. 4 times in chapter 339 →  After he got angry at her for being ‘too friendly’ with Koga and she called him out for also being too friendly with Kikyo. 2 times in chapter 327  →  After he went to see Kikyo alone and she thought he was lying to her when he said Kikyo wasn’t there.
I added this because people usually say Kagome sits him “every time he annoys her a little” and I don’t think that’s true. Because of this I also gathered a (subjective) list of reasons why Kagome used the command and counted the number of sits associated.
Tumblr media
Main reasons: he was being violent, or he was being rude/insensitive towards her or others.
Now, let’s take a look a the anime 🙂 I didn’t rewatch the anime to make this, I watched The Ultimate Inuyasha Sit Compilation video and double checked some episodes myself. Shoutout to zeragon21 on Youtube for making this compilation, it saved me a lot of time! This includes all animated content of the Inuyasha series, so the original anime (episode 1-167) & The Final Act (episode 168-193) and then the 4 movies and the spinoff Hanyo no Yashahime.
Tumblr media
Total ‘Sit’ count in the anime: 154
Highest number of sits in a row: 22 → Reason: Trying to stop a drunk Sango from kissing Inuyasha
Other times she used the beads repetitively: 16 times in episode 109  →  Same as chapter 249 where she used it 4 times but the anime made it worse 11 times in episode 96 →  Because Inuyasha told Jinenji that Kagome has a “small heart” 10 times in Movie 1 →  Because Inuyasha didn’t compliment her cooking and wanted to eat ramen instead 8 times in episode 11 →  Same as chapter 23  6 times in episode 98 →  Because Inuyasha didn’t compliment her cooking, again 5 times in episode 158 →  Same as chapter 327 where she used it 2 times but the anime made it worse
Conclusion: The Inuyasha animated content added almost 100 non-canon ‘Sit’ commands!
This is honestly, so, so much worse than I expected, lol. I also wanted to note some other differences that would explain why anime viewers find the sit command a bigger problem than manga readers. The first one being the force / intensity of it. In the anime the command will often be strong enough to create a crater, while in the manga there’s usually a “moosh” sound effect and if she uses it repetitively Inuyasha will just stay stuck in a crouched position.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing I’ve noticed while watching the compilation is that in the anime (especially the dub) Inuyasha often complains about it. He’ll scream/grunt when she sits him, call her heartless, ask her why she’s sitting him. This doesn’t really happen in the manga. He will usually say “Kagome temee!” (Damn you Kagome!) or say “Stop that!” if she’s using it repeatedly (which only happened twice).
There’s also some added scenes in the anime that portrayed Kagome in a negative light in regards to the sit command. The first one being in the third movie “Swords of an Honorable Ruler”, where Inuyasha asked Kagome to remove the beads and she ignored him, and later she “tricked” him into putting them back on despite his complaints. The other is from the filler episodes 147-148 “The Tragic Love Song of Destiny” where Kikyo created the subjugation beads using the word “beloved” as the trigger word, but decided not to put them on him because she saw he was nice. Sunrise clearly added this to imply that Kagome should have taken the beads off Inuyasha after she realized they weren’t truly necessary (since he doesn’t want to kill her or innocents) and used this to add fuel to the love triangle discourse. In the manga the beads are never really talked about, they’re just a slapstick gag that isn’t meant to be taken too seriously, just like Sango slapping Miroku or Inuyasha punching kids.
Conclusion: the reasons why the Sit command is worse in the anime than in the manga, is that there is almost 100 added Sits, the force of the command is way worse, Inuyasha complains about it a lot more, and Sunrise tried to make it seem like a bigger deal than it really is by adding certain scenes.

Ghost Game Episode Guide
This post is an episode guide for Digimon Ghost Game. Some people may not have time to watch all 67 episodes of the series. This post exists to help people pinpoint which episodes of the anime they want to watch and what to skip, as some episodes aren't plot-relevant at all. So get out your 🍿 popcorn 🍿 and let's watch some Ghost Game!
Tumblr media
NOTE: I am posting this before the final two episodes of Ghost Game have aired. As I do not know how things will go at the end, there is a possibility I might change the way I've labeled certain episodes once the series is completed.
I do want to note that although Ghost Game sometimes calls back to previous events or characters, I may not label all such episodes as important/reccomended (see: 🦐). Sometimes you have two non-plot relevant episodes connected by a side character who never appears again, sometimes an episode might call back to another episode in a "remember when we had fun" kinda way, where I do not believe having seen the specific episode is nececary to understand the feeling/idea that they are trying to get across.
Here is how episodes have been labeled:
Episodes labeled as 🌟 are the Bare Minimum you should watch for the most bare-bones Ghost Game experience, as this is purely Plot Relevant and nothing else.
Episodes labeled with 🌠 may not be purely plot-relevant, but they may either develop the world of Ghost Game or its characters, sometimes in ways where it may become foreshadowing for things to come.
Episodes labeled with 🧍 are filler with single word lore bombs, and I would frankly reccomend skipping them if you're not desperate for single word lore bombs
Episodes labeled with 🦐 may introduce side plots or characters who might appear in more episodes but aren't plot-relevant and might only appear a few times within other filler episodes. If it's labeled with an additional ❤️, I'd really reccomend watching it, if it's ❌, then I'd really reccomend skipping it.
Unlabeled episodes are filler, some are good, some are bad, regardless, you can skip these.
So for The Bare Minimum experience, watch the 🌟 episodes. If you want to experience all of the sideplots and see every single re-occuring characters, and not miss out on a single crumb of lore, watch all of the 🌟🌠🦐🧍 episodes. Personally I'd reccomend just 🌟🌠 with a few ❤️ labeled 🦐s.
One last thing is that there's TWO versions of this guide below: first there's a spoiler free version with JUST the labels, episode number and title. Further down the post is another copy of the list, but this one will include information about why an episode has been labeled the way it is, as well as highlighting the major Monster of the Week of the episode. (For example, the first episode is labeled 🌟 because it introduces important characters, while the MotW is Clockmon.) I've done this to give extra bit of information about why some episode are/n't skipable, and to help people find specific episodes if one of their favorite Digimon appear in an episode as The Major/Main Monster of the Week. Mind you, these are not full episode summaries, they're summaries done in about 5 words or less.

Things I miss about old tv shows:
1. Set Designs
One thing I miss most is actual tangible set designs. There used to be a handful of sets that would get used time and time again, and the characters actually interacted with them. Sets now look so damn clinical and clean, characters barely interact with them (mostly because half of all sets are almost entirely CGI) and they barely change over the course of a season or episode. Reflect your characters’ mental states by their rooms. Make them messy, dirty, have characters comment on the state of certain sets. Come on make them UNIQUE. And not in the way of just the objects either, make them unkempt or overflowed and mix up the lighting a bit.
2. Actual Episodic Structure
Most TV shows I’ve watched that came out in the last few years have had a continuous plot. Which is great. It makes me invested in the story, makes me excited for the next episode. But unless done correctly, it can feel like nothing was actually achieved in those episodes. Often it comes that a character spends the entire episode trying to do something, only for their plan to unravel right at the end of the episode and the next episode to be set up. It makes me feel like nothing was actually completed. Every episode is designed to set up for the next one and in some cases this works, but in others it doesn’t. An episodic structure is where each episode has its own individual storyline that may or may not add to the overall plot. Avatar: The Last Airbender used this structure, as did the Star Trek series (excluding season 2~ of Discovery) and BBC Merlin. A structure like this adds considerably more to character development and subsequent relationships between characters before moving on to more plot-driven antics, which in turn raises the stakes.
3. Fantasy Lighting
This, I believe, is self-describing. TV shows are too dark. I can’t see. Even if you want to establish how dark a setting is, there is still usually a source of light that a character is holding. It’s enough to make us actually see what’s going on, so let us. Please. And, anyway, it’s fiction. Doesn’t have to always be 100% realistic.
4. Filler Episodes
This comes in tandem with episode numbers. I do understand that in production the creators don’t have much time to film and edit before release. But. Where did the 20 episode seasons go? A lot of series are being released half-and-half, but even if it’s weekly, most people I know would be fine with it as long as each episode is produced to the best of the ability of the creators. I also miss fillers. Give me those character shenanigans. No plot, just pure antics. Those episodes keep me alive.
4. CGI Consistency
I will always maintain the opinion that good CGI relies on how consistent its quality is throughout a film, season or episode. Personally, I don’t care how good the CGI is so long as it remains relatively the same level throughout what I’m watching. I see this a lot in recent tv shows *cough* marvel *cough* where one scene will have the most spectacular CGI ever seen and another looks more like a low-budget animated kids show. It breaks immersion. I’m not into it. Just give me bad CGI all the way through. Or, on contrast, no CGI whatsoever. Construct scenes using actual corporeal sets and makeup. I miss funky little puppets.
(Note: this is opinion based. Feel free to agree or disagree, add or remove. I won’t contend)

You know how JJK has these little mini episodes after the credits that are mostly gags, but can have pretty neat info?
Tumblr media
This is what I hope The One Piece does concerning Oda’s cover stories.
Tumblr media
Imagine the a few episodes after the Orange Town arc we get to see a minute long animated version of this.
Tumblr media
People that know about Buggy’s story would probably be happy to not have a full episode (that does feel like filler even tho it’s not). And everyone that doesn’t would be happy to watch this bits of Buggy’s continued story at the end of ten or so episodes!
I’m desperate for this, I want this so bad.

i was curious what you thought of the live-action One Piece now that season one is out! personally, i have the same compliants as Geoff of Mother's Basement (youtu.be/43K-H_dtQ9g?si=2n0MLLPmdw0vARk7) where, personally, my main compliants were (1) how clean some of these well-worn outfits and set-pieces were and the bigger one was (2) how Garp was altered but i, like Geoff, have my hopes that s2 can fix that by showing that this is the experience (mostly part from Mihawk) that changed Garp into more of the Garp we see in the manga. "a high 8 or low 9 out of 10" indeed. overall, i think its okay as an adaptation! i like Sanji's perviness being toned down, i dont mind most of the shuffling and changing because it is an adaptation with timeslots and seasons unlike a limitless manga with arcs however long it wants. i can understand if you or others dont like the live-action adaptation though! i just like that it was a good gateway to help me turn some of my friends into One Piece fans, less scared of how BIG One Piece is now the live-action has given them a limited taste, towards the manga or the OnePace.net-editted version of the anime (though i do still plan to have them watched some of the anime-only filler that is fun lmao maybe ill throw a sleepover or something, idk, i just like how OnePace fine-tunes the padded-out pacing problem the later One Piece episodes have) thats the main plus of the live-action adaptation to me
but im curious about your thoughts if you have any?? its okay if you never plan to watch it, i know a few other fans like that and i dont mean for my wuestion to be all peer-pressure-y or anything ♡
i've never heard of onepace until now! i'm in the same boat, i've been watching opla with my sister who's kind of interested in starting one piece but is also intimidated by the anime's episode count. maybe we can watch onepace instead. thanks for letting me know ☺️
i've only seen the first two episodes (but don't care at all about spoilers and have seen a lot already). i didn't like the first episode, zoro particularly, but the second was fun! well... it was camp. combined, i would give it the verdict of "aggressively okay" but this isn't a judgement on anyone who liked it. if you did, i'm happy you had a good time. i just have cinema brain.
what i liked so far: helmeppo's >:O face and his puma trainers. the vfx team in charge of luffy's rubberyness. buggy's "surprise, shithead!" nami's den den mushi earpiece/cellphone.
the rest:
zoro’s zombified no energy go girl give us nothing monotone. 😐 <- why did they tell him to make this face in every shot
they cut the scene where luffy gives zoro his swords back and replaced it with helmeppo ass
"a man needs to be strong. but he also needs to be good.” you are going to cut off a pirate rookie's arm and then obliterate his ship and crew later 👍
what is this whole thing about being "morally good" and "one of the good guys" and "a good pirate" it's ICKY
justice for silly winky vain nami. how are they going to do the personality shift into broody serious arlong park nami when she's been broody and serious the whole time
nami spent like 30 minutes unlocking one (1) locked cage. i guess it's because she and zoro needed to talk/get some exposition in, and i'm not going to suggest a better option because i don't want to rewrite half the script. i just found it amusing because normally it's "suspend your disbelief when a character does something amazing for the plot" and not "when a character is noticeably worse at something they really have no business being this bad at. for the plot"
i'm starting to think that zoro and nami lost core personality traits because the writers wanted them to be luffy foils instead of their actual characters
i did hear taz was the best/most charismatic actor out of the straw hats. i'm assuming this is because they let him be sanji instead of making him into a luffy foil since they have enough luffy foils
cameraperson's love affair with low angle closeups and fisheye lens. i don't hate it (it's camp) just pointing it out
i'm literally so serious about mackenyu's insufferable zoro voice. whenever i hear him talk in that joyless southern california kardashian vocal fry my blood pressure shoots through the roof. who made him do that
even though i have issues with the writing, i think objectively opla has done a decent job of pleasing fans. i'm not one of them but i know there's a lot. but on a technical and artistic level... deep sigh palms pressed together listen... i was hoping for spellbinding artistry from the showrunners. beautifully lit scenes, beautiful camerawork, excellent technical chops, lingering shots of luffy's bruised knuckles, the slightly frayed fabric on zoro's swords, a super close-up of a log pose with the crew talking behind the compass needle, their bodies distorted by the glass. fingerprints on kerosene lamps. barnacles on rotting wood. a searingly hot-blue summer sky (super saturated in post) over shells town or wherever. i wanted lush gorgeous rich interesting artistic ideas from the directors and cinematographers. i haven't seen any of that so far, and what i have seen doesn't compel me to watch more. i'm not saying the actual cinematography was bad! just. okay. it was okay.
(but also some of the nighttime/underlit scenes are bad. put a dang key light on your actors 🤺)
concluding thoughts: at the end of the day, if netflix wants to keep throwing millions per episode at tomorrow studios, i'm fine with overlooking mediocre filmmaking and storytelling. i want everyone in the production crew to get their bag. i hope this show runs for another 50 seasons and is powered by union labor forever and ever until the end of time amen

I finally figured out what my issue is with Trigun Stampede, and it basically boils down to "Stampede is a Trigun executed for modern anime audience sensibilities, and for better or for worse, that means working towards fandom interests, particularly in terms of shipping".
That the characters are kind of broad stroke, tropey versions of their previous selves (Vash: a soft sadboy, Wolfwood: a bratty edgy tsundere, Knives: a yandere obsessed with Vash, Meryl: a dedicated young moe with no characteristics) isn't just because it's a 12 episode work that has to move fast, it's because it's all that really needs to be established to get the wheels of the fanworks going. It's why Vash is saying things like "If God won't save you, I will!" out loud, cuz the themes have to be broadcast fast and unmistakably. It's why Wolfwood is his own hype man to the point where he sounds like Shadow the Hedgehog. It's why I've seen about a dozen fanarts of Wolfwood's "I'll strip the flesh from your bones" line as a re-enactment of the "I'll Kill You!" "You're beautiful" scene from Princess Mononoke.
Now, to be fair, it's not necessarily BAD that this is The Trigun for Fandom Shipping. Some of my favorite anime have also been unashamedly about shipping. Vision of Escaflowne was an isekai romance where the protagonist had to decide which potential boyfriend she liked more. Yuri on Ice was basically an olympic sporting courtship. Any titles that have the cahones to come out and say "we're gonna give the fangirls what they want" is worth a little encouragement in my book. But these kinds of things weren't what I got into Trigun for when it first came out in the late 90s. I still have a strong personal attachment to the work as a weird-western drama driven by the strength of its characters and the way their personal morals intersect and collide, and how the story establishes them through eps that technically count as "non-manga filler" but brings you a closer look at who they are. The ep where Vash and Wolfwood enter a quick draw tourney to help struggling cafe owner. Their different approaches to how to free youngsters from a trafficking ring. The way the differences between Vash and Wolfwood's approaches to life are broadcast through either desperate buffoonery, or savvy, sly pragmatism.
Anyways, at the end of the day, I'm just disappointed because I was expecting something a little closer to the spirit of the original. I wouldn't fault anyone for having a good time watching this version, but it's really not doing much for me, and after all that hype, it is something of a letdown.

Adventure Time Skippable Episodes Tournament - Prequel
Welcome to what will be a tournament for the best "skippable" episode of Adventure Time! Before beginning, we need to decide which episodes count as skippable. There is a lot of debate about this, so I'd like some input before starting. This list came from Reddit user reapertuesday's reduced viewing guide and includes some episodes they marked as recommended.
The full list is under the cut. Before going over it, some Q&A:
Why call them skippable episodes? Why not filler or non-canon?
"Filler" refers to episodes that are made in order to prolong an adaptation of a source material. Adventure Time is an original creation, not based on a specific existing story, so there is no filler. In the same way, no episodes are "non-canon" unless specifically declared so by the crew.
So what defines a skippable episode?
To me, a skippable episode is any episode that does not:
Introduce a recurring character or item (e.g. Finn's various swords)*
Relate to a larger character development/arc/backstory or overarching plot point
Generally get a mention in any other episode
*A character introduced in one of these episodes may have a cameo in required episodes. However, if their presence isn't confusing even without watching their introduction episode, their intro episode may still be on the list. For example, Party God shows up at Prismo's party in S6 E1, but several other characters we don't know are also present, so it's not unusual even if you skipped his previous appearances.
Where are the Graybles, Fionna and Cake, and guest-animated episodes?
I consider these episodes to be kind of their own thing, contained in their own universe or singular episode. I know F&C have their own show now, but this list is specifically for watching Adventure Time proper, not any follow-up or spin-off material. Plus, at least one of the guest-animated episodes is considered genuinely non-canon, and I do want this list to have only canon episodes.
This episode isn't skippable, it's one of my favorites!
An episode being skippable doesn't mean it's not good - some of my favorite episodes are in this list. It just means that a first-time viewer can choose not to watch the episode and not be confused by anything later.
That being said, here is the list. Please reply in some form if you think an episode on here is required viewing (and explain why), or if you think I missed an episode. I'll give it one week before creating the bracket.

Story time: When I was little and first start wachting anime (not counting Pokemon and Digimon because I didnt know what anime even was when first seeing them on tv) I learned about the big three, and wanted to watch all of them. One at a time thou.
So I watched few videos like amv or top 10 lists on yt to decide which one to start with. Bleach I found pretty boring, still do, just dont think its an anime for me. Im sure its good as it has a lot of fans. But not for me. And One Piece I thought was too childish, not sure if I saw 4kidz dub or it might be before any one of the big emotional scenes (before water 7, as in genocide wasnt a plot point yet) but I thought it was a 'friendship is magic' type of show. Naruto I saw there was blood (why I think I might have seen one piece 4kidz videos) and the nine tail fox, which I thought was the cooled thing ever. So I ended up with watching Naruto first. Spoiler: Nine tails barely have any scenes so that was a huge let down.
I didnt like Naruto because he kept trying to sneak in the womens bath and transforming into a naked girl to give people nosebleeds. Little ace me, who didnt know what asexual was, didnt approve. Sasuke I thougth was an idiot, I normally like the overly emo characters but I just thought hes reasoning and actions were stupid. (Like in the end he came back like "Im going to be the new hokage". like bitch! You are a war criminal that sided with the enemy that tried to destroy the village at one point! Why the fuck would the village want you as their leader??!!) And Sakura just seemed really pointless. There was a thing that she was supposed to be the more giften one in channeling chakra but Naruto and Sasuke quickly cought or was atleast good enough that Sakura wasnt needed that often. There was some good scenes but they were few and far between.
Not liking the main characters is a bad start when watching a show.
I dont remember that much what happend in the anime because I got so mad about how long time it took for things to happen that I ended up suppressing the memories. I didnt know what filler episodes was untill after I was almost at the end of the serie. So I watched all and every filler episodes thinking they were nessesary.
Did you know 41% of the anime was filler? 91 of 220 episodes of the original anime where filler. And 203 of 500 episodes of shippuden where filler. And one point there was even 76 episode in a row that was filler. From 13 july 2005 to 1 february 2007 where just filler episodes.
I refused to watch Bleach and One Piece after thinking they had as much filler episodes as Naruto. Untill I got recommended one piece videos on yt and decided to give it a try. But looking up which episodes where filler so I could skip it. But One piece only had 10 %. I know there were someone that had counted how many minutes where filler scenes in each episode which made that procentage a lot higher.
I know its annoying that One Piece has a lot of scene filler where things are dragged out little too long. But if I had to choose I do rather have filler scenes than filler episodes. Even thou filler episodes can be fun from time to time. But not 76 in a row.
End of story time.
Love your videos~ Keep it up!
LMAO I can't speak on the Naruto stuff, but One Piece's LACK of filler surprised me too? And I say lack of filler because, shocker! Having like, 3-5 fillers per 100 EPISODES?? SOMETIMES NOT EVEN THAT?? People truly don't realise how insane that is, and how lucky we are for that?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, people really need to watch One Piece SECOND to something else - especially second to other anime. You truly see how good you have it and how good of a show One Piece is when it's the SECOND thing you watch LMAO

I'm a little baffled by your post about the one piece anime, because while I would also recommend people read the manga instead, it still is a vastly more accurate adaption than the opla? like, opla is lovely for what it is, but oda being involved in it doesn't change the fact that they took huuuge liberties that the anime just... doesn't? which is perfectly fine for an adaption, I'm just mentioning it because it sounded like you were focused on the character dynamics, which are just... vastly, vastly different in the manga AND anime vs the live action. I'm thinking about Nami and Sanji in particular (and Usopp as well to a degree), who all kind of feel like watered-down versions of their actual selves (Nami isn't greedy enough, Usopp not cowardly enough, Sanji... well, I'm not saying Sanji being different is a bad thing asdf). Again, perfectly fine for an adaption that doesn't mean to adapt its source material beat for beat, but it just leaves me really confused over how the opla is possibly a more faithful/a better adaption than the anime? Which, as far as I can recall, has severe pacing issues, annoying fillers and leaves out things like the cover stories, but still sticks waaaay closer to the actual story and dynamics as they are in the manga.
(First of all: you can like the Anime. As I said before, I've watched the entire Anime 3 times this last year. But you can enjoy something and still know it's flawed. Very flawed, even.)
Uf, I will try to make this as short as possible xD If i sound dry or "angy", sorry, English is not my first language ^^
What baffles me is that most people really think the Anime of One Piece is a faithful 1 to 1 adaptation, or that everything on it is canon (except the fillers), or that Oda approves the changes they make. For context: it was very common in the 90s/2000s to just take a manga that was doing good and make an animation that took the characters and story and did whatever they wanted with it. One Piece is not the only victim of this treatment.
I respect the animators and Seiyuus, they do their jobs good and are what makes the Anime enjoyable. But I really can not understand the Directors and the changes they decided to make to the characters (and this applies to the whole series, not only 20 years ago).
The changes you see in OPLA are necessary to translate a drawing (Manga) to a series acted by real people. Also, condensing 95 chapters of Manga in 8 episodes and trying to bring the essence of the characters to the screen, translating Japanese funny gags to an International Audience and also having the input of 25 years of Oda thinking "huh, maybe this could have been explained better" it's obviously going to make things change.
The Anime has none of those excuses. It's also a drawing so no need to tone down, supposed to have the same Audience (even tho they really tried to make it for little kids and it shows), they clearly don't have an issue with the length of the series and they don't ask Oda for nearly any of the changes they make!
Pretending Oda being involved or not doesn't matter is just so weird to me. You know all One Piece characters are Oda's OCs, right? He is the original creator of the characters. He knows them better than anyone else. He knows where the story is going, what is acceptable, what is on character and what is not. Just because they are very famous characters it doesn't mean they are not someones Original Characters. He loves them and cares for them. Not respecting him as the only one that can say something is canon or not is completely disrespectful and dehumanizing.
About watering down characters in OPLA: again, they are real people acting the characters. In the Manga they are exaggerated to a comical effect that wouldn't translate as comical if it's real people who do it, it'd just be weird. That's because it's different mediums and different audience. But the core of the characters is very present, just less cartoony. On the other hand, the Anime reduces the characters to just this comical effect, taking away nearly everything else of the characters, making them just gags.
Answering to the specific points you make about OPLA:
Nami not being greedy enough: Nami's greed before Arlong Park Arc is just her trying to save enough to free her people. We don't really see her greed until after she is free. We haven't reached this point yet in OPLA, apart of her wanting to dress nice and enjoy a bath.
Usopp not being cowardly enough: they can not spend 5 minutes of an 50 minute episode showing him screaming around or running away. But they did show him running as first reaction in Kaya's Mansion, twice. They showed him wanting to go back home after encountering Garp. He does say cowardly things all the time, like wanting to leave, stay on the Merry, not fight the Fish Men, running away the second Chu payed attention to him… It's just less cartoony. They are also not showing inner dialogue of the characters, it's just shown by their acting.
Sanji not being a pervert: Not only is Sanji's perversion waaaay exaggerated in the Anime, to an unpalatable degree, it's also a very Japanese Funny Gag that wouldn't translate good to an International Audience. Sanji in the Manga has, on top of everything else, a friendly relationship with Nami. He can talk to her like a human being. They are friends that can agree or disagree without drama, that join forces to fix things very often and act very calm around each other unless something "special" happens and Sanji is lovestruck, but even so, he usually comes back to being normal pretty fast. Of course he likes her and he is attracted to her, but he also sees her as a person... unlike the Anime. This translated to into the Live Action to a man that tries to flirt and has no success, but that can take a no as an answer without being offended. Also, Oda probably wanted to show on the Live Action that the real reason Sanji is on the crew is no other than him following Luffy (that is also a thing that the Anime waters down: Sanji's dedication to Luffy)
The main point is: yes, OPLA is an Alternative Universe where things are shown a bit differently, but the core of the characters is the same. You see them and you see real people, just like in the Manga.
And let's see about the faithfulness of the Anime... just because the Arcs are called the same and things kind of happen the same, it doesn't mean it's a faithful adaptation. The most important thing in a story is the characters and how they interact and react to the world. These are just some differences between the Anime and the Manga that I can think of off the top of my head, just from the East Blue Saga. (without any particular order)
-- Zoro's real backstory (Manga) is that he had been in the Shimotsuki Dojo probably since birth, practicing his 2 Sword Style and only starting the 3 Sword Style to carry Kuina's Soul with him. [((spoilers from Wano: now we know Zoro is also a Shimotsuki, so he was training in his family's Dojo. It also explains why Koushirou gave Kuina's sword to Zoro so easily: they are family, and Zoro would carry the Shimotsuki name to the top of Swordmanship))].
Zoro's backstory in the Anime is completely changed to make it look like he is a random funny kid that came out of nowhere and one day appeared in the Dojo. His signature 3 sword style is also made like he just "wanted to use as many swords as possible".
I don't think it's very necessary to explain why this changes are just... terrible for the character and continuity.
[Edit: the following is not correct! Check the reblog for the correction :D] The Anime also makes Zoro's departure from Shimotsuki Village like something he planned to do, saying goodbye to Kuina's Grave and Koushiro… when in the Manga he literally tells Luffy he was kicking pirates out of his village and he got lost and didn't know how to get back. [/end of incorrect part]
Changing Zoro's character at every turn is something they love to do in the Anime.
--
Usopp in the Manga wants Luffy&co. to meet Kaya, because he cares about her well being. He wants her to make new friends, to be able help them and feel useful doing it. Usopp knows what Kaya needs is contact with the world and tries to bring it to her.
Usopp in the Anime is jealous and secretive of her. He doesn't want the others to go meet her, even knowing they are good people. He'd rather have her to himself.
This is a fatal change to the character of Usopp. He is a kind hearted lovely man that wants what's best for his friend... but the Anime just shows a jealous asshole.
--
In the battle against Cabaji, Zoro cuts his own wound, so his opponent can't use it as an advantage anymore.
In the Anime, he lowers his defense on purpose and lets Cabaji cut his wound.
The first one shows how far he can go to prove himself, also shows he is not at all worried because he doesn't consider Cabaji up to his level. I'm not sure what the second one is supposed to show apart from "children can not see self-harm".
--
Also in Orange Town in Manga, Luffy is fighting as much as possible against the cage he is trapped in, biting the bars. And afterwards he is very worried asking Zoro to leave him and not carry him or he will get worse from his wounds. In the Anime he is just surprised that Zoro can carry him like that. He doesn't really fight his predicament.
The Anime usually shows Luffy as an uncaring friend, which is sad when he is a character that cares so much and has so much empathy.
--
In the Manga, Zeff cuts his own leg and eats it to survive after giving all the food they have to Sanji.
In the Anime, Zeff lost his leg because it got caught in the ships broken pieces, and he had to cut it to survive. (i guess he survived 80 days thanks to the Holy Spirit or something) (again with being palatable to children)
--
In the Manga, the first encounter between Tashigi and Zoro is brief, Zoro gives her back the glasses and carries on (even tho tilted by her looking so similar to Kuina).
In the Anime, Zoro breaks Tashigi's glasses with the shock and she proceeds to be the meanest person ever insulting him in many ways (isn't she supposed to be a good person?) and forcing him to work for her to pay her glasses back, even tho she has no need for the money.
The Anime shows Zoro as a pushover, when in reality he is not. He was "pushed over" by Luffy out of the blue because it is Luffy, not because Zoro would let someone random do that to him. This type of "Zoro gets messed up easily by anyone" is very repeated through the Anime, taking away the importance of his relationship with Luffy and the other few he pays really attention to.
--
In the Manga, Sanji wants to be famous and have his face seen in the Newspaper. That's why he gets mad when Usopp is in Luffy's Wanted Poster and he isn't.
In the Anime, he is already a famous cook. We can see it in one of the many filler in Loguetown, where another cook has been wanting to surpass him for a long time.
[((spoiler of Whole Cake Island: This collides directly with how his Wanted Poster makes his bio Family looks for him to use him, after knowing he is still alive.))]
--
Also in Loguetown, in the Manga Luffy goes directly to the place Roger was executed.
In the Anime they make him get lost a hundred times for comical effect. He also meets Smoker, Buggy and others on the way… taking away all the surprise.
--
In the Manga, Zoro and Luffy are pretty confused with Sanji's romantic reaction to Nami. They don't get why she's getting special treatment. Zoro even wonders if she bewitched him somehow.
In the Anime, as soon as Sanji starts flirting with Nami, Zoro gets irritated and Luffy gets uncomfortable.
In the Anime they try hard to make Zoro have a romance with any girl that shows up, adding reactions that are never present in the Manga.
--
And well, a huge one that needs more elaboration, because it is the core of the Manga: Luffy is shown observing and judging situations and people constantly. Every time something is happening that shows the true nature of people, he is specifically shown paying attention.
In the Anime this is translated as him being an empty headed kid that barely thinks or cares about anyone. He is a shell of a man, who only repeats that he wants to be King of the Pirates...
--
This is a very tiny list of examples that explain themselves without going into extensive detail…
I can go on and on about more changes that make no sense or change characters personalities, but if I do, I will dedicate its own blog to it to not clutter this one. I need bigger posts to explain the changes I see in dynamics between the characters xD
And as I said: if all of these changes were approved by Oda, I would be happy to accept them. But sadly they are not.
So to me, the One Piece Anime is just a fan-made adaptation that takes too many liberties. Or, as Animes are really considered in Japan: just advertisement for the Mangas.
On the other hand, OPLA changes were approved after negotiations and struggles and years of back and forth. Oda was very invested in it, trying to really show his vision and his world as good as possible. That's why i consider the Live Action as a faithful adaptation of the story.
Of course you may not consider these things important, but they are for me. In the end, you are free to enjoy One Piece as you wish! ^^
Anyways, thanks for reading so much! xD This ended up not being short at all, but i controlled myself as much as possible, i swear uvuU

I've watched Appmon thanks to your recommendation and it was amazing! Eri, Astra and Rei were my favorites :) But after looking at past discussions online about the episodes, I've noticed so many people had a problem with its 'filler' (which i think didn't feel like filler at all), much more than any other series in the franchise (besides ghost game, probably) Why do you think this is so? Is it something in the context of its original airing's run?
First of all, congrats on finishing Appmon! I'm so glad my recommendation could get someone else to enjoy it!
Well, I'm going to be honest: I think the prejudice against Appmon having "filler" is, quite simply, a double standard. Savers actually gets this as well in regards to its first eleven episodes (it's just that since it's a fast-paced narrative after that, it's hard to make any accusations of it having "filler" after that no matter how prejudiced you are). But if you look at Adventure through Frontier, there are a lot of episodes that don't advance the plot much. Most Frontier fans agree that the hamburger episode is one of the finest episodes in the franchise despite it technically also being one of these. In fact, if you actually sit down to think about Tamers and ignore the cult that constantly insists it's incapable of having anything wrong with it, its beginning is extremely slow and there are a bunch of early episodes that don't actually advance much of anything "plot"-wise. Adventure through Frontier will automatically get a lot of passes for things that later series won't just because they have the My Childhood Nostalgia™ pass attached to them.
(I do think Appmon episode 26 is entirely skippable, but that's purely because it's a recap episode made to accommodate a timeslot change and any newcomers jumping on at that time, which obviously isn't relevant for people watching it now.)
That being said, I actually despise the word "filler" the way it's used now. The word was supposed to be used in the context of anime adaptations, especially adaptations of manga or video games; anything that was original to the anime and wasn't from its original source material is "filler" (because just sticking to the original material only won't fill enough episodes). Filler in that context was never supposed to inherently be a bad thing, it just was more often than not in practice because it was too obvious the original story wasn't made for it, and it can't advance much character or plot status quo because otherwise it'll derail it from the originally intended storyline, so it usually would end up being kind of boring. But that wasn't always the case, and I've definitely met a lot of One Piece and Dragon Ball fans who have said that some of its filler episodes are its best ones because they have interesting ideas or do interesting things with the characters even despite being so limited in what they could do.
But nowadays, people just use the word "filler" to mean "an episode I don't like" or "an episode I think is boring" -- very subjective. And even when they aren't trying to be condescending about it, they still use that word to apply to "any episode that doesn't 'advance the plot'" completely ignoring the fact that "not advancing the plot" can still have fascinating character studies or interesting ideas, oftentimes even moreso than series that don't. I've seen anime that are entirely minimal-plot that have interesting character studies and/or are episodic. Hell, I don't know many people who watched Digimon Adventure for its totally riveting plot of (checks notes) some isekai where they defeat some bosses who want to take over the world...like, how many people actually watched early Digimon because the "plot" was oh so spectacular?
I do think there's room to criticize Appmon's early pacing (in that it's kind of hard to tell where exactly they're going with the plot in the first handful of episodes, and I honestly wonder if it should have taken so long to introduce Eri and Astra), and frankly I would actually apply those criticisms to Adventure, Tamers, and Savers too -- in fact, I've had very little success introducing new fans to Adventure because it takes almost half the series to feel like it's going anywhere, and it makes it easy to get bored and drop it. But if the problem is pacing, I wish people would actually say it that way instead of saying something is "filler" and therefore useless and unnecessary just because it focuses more on characters than background plot intrigue.

So I watched Blood+
This anime was a surprising one for me. When I saw it was 50 whole ass episodes I was waiting for this to drag. I was waiting for episodes that felt like filler. I was waiting for the boring phase where nothing happens until the final three episodes.
It never happened. This anime was intriguing the entire time. I didn't want to stop watching it every time I had to. This is yet another show where I don't actually want to do any kind of plot summary or introduction because the writing is really well handled. I'd say it's better to come at this as blind as I did.
Really like all of the characters, and hey if you were looking for a show with an actually evil woman you got one here. The only thing I would say about this going in is if you don't like watching sad stuff then you might want to pass on this. It gets heavy quick and it stays heavy the whole time.
Now as much as I like the writing, its got some problems. The pace is slow...and not in a bad way necessarily. Episodes will just feel like they ended sooner than they should have. Part of this is likely purely because of the episode count. That's a lot of time to fill up. They did something really clever though.
A lot of scenes will focus on the full reaction of the characters. The way their facial expression changes and body language shifts is very well communicated. You really get an idea of how these characters feel.
Plus, there's a lot of visual subtelty as well. A lot of stuff is not explicitly explained, but if you're paying attention the answer is probably right in front of you.
These decisions were great for production since the animators didn't need to draw anything crazy for scenes like these. The animation was a little stiff in general, but I don't blame them. Fifty episodes is HELLA episodes. Even if the animation is a little stiff it stays at a pretty consistent quality. Never looks bad.
Production IG was handling this anime. You can usually count of them to do a good job and it's no different. What's more interesting is that this is anime original! Well...sort of.
Blood+ is a narrative continuation from the Blood: The Last Vampire movie. The director of Blood+, Fujisaku Jun`ichi, was part of the production for the movie and I guess he really loved the idea. Not only did he direct the TV anime, but he also directed the video game and wrote the novel version.
Now I was completely unaware that Blood as a franchise existed. The only "Blood" I knew was Blood-C. I watched Blood-C a long time ago, but didn't finish when the ending got spoiled on me. I was going to give Blood-C a rewatch, but now that I know about the rest of Blood I'm gonna watch it all. I got Blood+ out the way first since it was so long and I'll watch the movie before I go to Blood-C.
That aside, th tl;dr is that Blood+ is actually pretty darn good and I would definitely recommend giving it a shot if 50 episodes doesn't scare you away.
I hope I didn't accidentally watch the peak of the franchise first...

Helluva Boss Season 2 Episode 2 is a fucking disaster...
Like....I don't know what to say. This episode was so chaotic, noisy and bizarre, it made me dizzy. Okay, Octavia wanted to see the meteors and stole her dad's grimoire. Why did the magical grimoire, created by someone very powerful, didn't comply with her request and sent her to LA? She literally said "Take me to the stars". Of couse she meant space, not some fucking Hollywood. And again, Loona is bitching on every other person around her. How surprising. Though Blitzo was right, she's bad at her job. And they didn't even notice Octavia sneaking in their office...But the second part of the episode-jesus fucking christ, I can't describe it with all words in the world. Firstly, Millie and Moxxie were completely unnecessary and useless in this episode. They did nothing but wasting the time which could be used for something more meaningful. Also...Is it only me who noticed Millie and Blitzo's correspondence? It was 19:04. Millie sent the image of a gag, asking "Moxxie be into this you think???". I'm sorry, but that's too much even for this show. The social commentary or satire or whatever is so tasteless. And of course, self insert of Brandon Rodgers. Because edgy people always want to put their ass in their mediocre project. Stolas' human version is repulsive, other human designs are atrocious, pacing is hit-and-run. Loona treats Blitzo like shit and hits him in balls after saying that fathers make mistakes sometimes. What the heck? Blitzo is not such awful father. He loves his daughter and cherishes her, yet she's still acting like a bitch despite being kind to Octavia which she sees first time in her life. And....What's the purpose of that "dramatic" scene? Stolas didn't care about Octavia, he was an asshole in the very start of the episode, screaming on Stella in front of his daughter. He didn't give a fuck at all, so why Vivzie wants to show him as a good father and an innocent person? He only noticed when Blitzo called him about the grimoire. I'm sorry, this doesn't make any fucking sense. The writing in this episode is HORRENDOUSLY bad. And I thought that Circus and Cherubs episodes were the worst. Millie and Moxxie are walking without disguises in the daytime, but no one gives a shit. Blitzo didn't have a normal disguise, but no one gives a shit and mistakes him for another guy. What about the visuals-animation lacks frames and smoothness, backgrounds look flat and characters blend with them(as always), direction is awful. I'm sick of this, every time I say "Oh, this is a total shit", Vivzie manages to make something worse. This episode was very difficult to watch, I'm out.
Too much gore and cynicism. Overall, this episode is really meanspirited even for this show. But....It feels like a total filler. No good plot, witty jokes(it's Hollywood and all, c'mon, you can make so many awesome jokes that aren't just "haha sex drugs alcohol"). And there's no character development. Stolas is still a dickhead who doesn't care about his daughter and is just there to flirt with Blitzo for the satisfaction of fans' fantasies. His actions have no consequences, as with other characters. Loona is still a shitty person and her backstory makes her even shittier. Her life was terrible in that "orphanage", yet she has the audacity to physically abuse her loving and caring dad for nothing. However, seems like fans ate even that garbage. Expectable.
