Protective bachelors headcanonssssss?

Yeeesssss!

Usually when people ask for "bachelors", I think about like "they are not yet 'Farmer's partner" because they are a 'singles', but I'm always not sure if I'm getting it right. Therefore, I try to find an alternative and write in a way that candidates would behave in both cases. I hope this makes sense.

By the way, I took the word "protective" in different ways. I mean, you can protect them from bullies, from natural disasters, from danger, from themselves if such a case ever occurs. I was interested in experiencing with this writing. Feel free to write criticism and suggest if such a headcanon deviates from the essence of the issue, I'm interested to know your opinion.

Alex:

Alex has been volunteering as a beach lifeguard for years. Given his physical qualities, ability to swim well and basic knowledge of first aid, this role suits him perfectly, so he agreed to volunteer and keep the beach safe every summer.

But it's fall now, too cold for the beach season, so no one needs his skills for now. So Alex thought until the Farmer, fishing on the river bank near Alex's house, fell for some reason directly into the rushing waters. The athlete acted faster than he thought: a jump into the water - and he is already dragging the Farmer to land. Alex carefully examined the Farmer to understand their condition, and when he was convinced that everything was alright with them, he took them home, where Evelyn brought a blanket and a cup of hot tea for the Farmer after a cold bath.

Whether or not the Farmer knew how to swim at the time, Alex now always watches over them when they fish near his house and moves them away from the river to prevent this from happening again.

Elliott:

There was one case when one of the tipsy tourists began to pester the Farmer with an offer to go on a date together. And when the Farmer politely refused the offer, they received threats and promises from the interlocutor to spoil the image of their farm. No one knows how long this clowning would have continued if an enraged Elliott had not approached them.

I can't get the fact out of my head that Elliott will challenge this asshole to a duel like the old fashioned way. It doesn't matter if the Farmer is just a good friend or his partner, the writer is determined to uphold their honor. Of course, here it will do without pistols, but still there is a theatrical note.

But that doesn't mean that Elliott is deliberately turning it into a theatre, oh no. He is fully prepared to fight this ill-mannered interlocutor on the battlefield, whether it be a verbal skirmish or a fist fight. Even if physical superiority is not on Elliott's side, he was able to successfully teach the offender a lesson, although now his nose is covered in blood. The Farmer, treating Elliott's wounds, must admit that they obviously did not expect this from him and were grateful for the support.

Sebastian:

Sebastian was surprised that the Farmer knew so little about social media. Like, they and Sebby are the same age, but if Sebastian himself makes magic with his programming skills, then the Farmer is more like an elder who was given a new phone by grandchildren and don't know how to use this device.

Therefore, Sebastian suggested that they create their own page on the Internet, where they will post their photos and posts on their favorite topics, for example, about farming, or life hacks on growing different crops. To which the Farmer happily agreed, rejoicing at the opportunity to put up tips that will help people. But, unfortunately, in addition to good people there will always be fools, trolls and bots in the vastness of the World Wide Web, which can not only spoil a person’s mood, but also put them into a depressive state.

Sebastian may still feel awkward talking to people face-to-face, but with a snap of his fingers, he will permanently ban nasty people from the Farmer's page while they don't see. Fair criticism is one thing, but just being toxic is another. Sebby won't just watch his friends get bullied by some idiots on the other side of the monitor, right?

Shane:

Shane doesn't get paid enough for this shit. Stupid boss, stupid Joja products, stupid co-workers (not counting Sam and that cashier). This was not enough for him, so now he saw through the window of the store how one of the Joja loaders clings to the Farmer. He can't make out what started the skirmish, but Shane heard loud and clear the phrases about the Farmer "our goods are better than yours", "bastard" and "bitch".

And at that moment, Shane's patience snapped. This pissed him off so much that he went to yell at that freak, not afraid of losing his miserable job.

Do you think Shane can't intimidate a bully enough? Have you ever seen his face when he's angry? This is the face of a man who will fight with God for the sake of people dear to him. For his aunt, goddaughter, chicken Charlie and the Farmer (friend or partner), he will tear off the offender's hands. Even though Morris issued a fine to both Joja employees for "spoiling the image of the company", Shane does not care. No one dares to offend them and think that the asshole will get away with it.

Harvey:

Merciful Yoba, give Harvey great patience. Because if he does not have enough patience, then brute force will come into play. What kind of stubborn fool do you have to be to get out of bed immediately after you had an emergency operation!?

The wounded Farmer after another adventure in the mines became an all-too-frequent sight in Harvey's clinic, but this time the case was quite dangerous. Harvey, as a professional in his field, quickly treated the Farmer's wounds, brought food and ordered them to rest for at least a couple of days. But they declared that the farm would wither without them and were preparing to get out of the hospital bed.

Because of this, Harvey's angelic patience finally snapped and he barked that he would tie the young troublemaker to the bed if they tried to get up again. This cooled the Farmer's ardor, and they obediently lay down again. Harvey, regretting his words, quickly apologized to the Farmer, explaining that he was very worried about their health no longer as a doctor, but as a friend (or more than a friend?). Every time he worries about their health, because they have become a close person to him. To which the ashamed Farmer also asked for forgiveness and thanked Harvey for his care and patience.

Sam:

After Sam's first concert ended successfully, he invited his band members and the Farmer to stay a little longer in Zuzu City for a bite to eat before the road. The Farmer offered to buy everyone burgers and sodas in the cafe while Sam, Sebby, and Abby took a table outside. It's been 30 minutes, and the Farmer still hasn't left the burger place, so Sam decided to check what took them so long. And the delay was because of another visitor to that cafe, who, in a drunken stupor, tried to prove to everyone that the Farmer had stolen their wallet. Neither the seller nor the Farmer themselves were able to calm down the raging visitor.

Sam approached the Farmer at the moment when the problem was solved by itself: no one stole the guy's wallet, he just put them in another pocket of his jacket. But instead of apologizing, the drunkard said that the Farmer could have stolen anyway.

To which Sam, with all his positive and ability to find a common language with everyone, barked at an unpleasant person, saying that the loser should get lost. His tirade somehow worked, and the man left. Sam doesn't like watching his friends get hurt, so he apologized if he scared the Farmer with his swearing. To which the Farmer themselves thank for the help and note that they have never heard such cursing from Sam. Well, yeah Sam is no longer a child! ... But anyway, don't tell his mother that he expressed himself like that, okay? For silence - delicious burgers, at his expense 😉

A Condensed History of the Roger Pirates

I'm only about... three months late? Either way, I promised I would do it, didn't I? So, here you go @starcrossedjedis

Obviously, this history of the travels of the Pirate King and his crew is going to involve some spoilers, so be prepared.

First of all, some quick info on the crew's most important members:

Gol D. Roger, also known as Gold Roger, the Pirate King: Roger was the crew's captain and namesake, as well as a former owner of Luffy's straw hat as he was the one to pass it down to Shanks. He was known to be fearless, prideful and quick to anger, but also humble and kind to civilians and children. His public execution in Loguetown 22 years ago was supposed to end piracy but brought on the Great Age of Pirates instead.

Silvers Rayleigh, the Dark King: Rayleigh was the crew's first mate and has now retired to Sabaody Archipelago, where he lives with his wife Shakky. He is a light-hearted and casual man, but he does take his position as the crew's disciplinarian seriously, especially towards the younger members. Generally, he is a strategist and can remain calm and collected even in the most dire of situations.

Crocus, the current lighthouse keeper of the Twin Cape Lighthouse, which guides ships into the Grand Line.

Kozuki Oden, the heir to the shogun of Wano Country, and Kozuki Toki, his wife: Oden, originally a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, was a confident and carefree man. One could even describe him as violent and selfish. But truly, his badly planned attempts at helping people always meant well, despite often having the opposite effect. He became more responsible and mature after sailing with the Roger Pirates but could still be considered naive. Still, he returned to Wano Country to take his father's place as shogun but was then executed by usurpers in an event called the Legendary Hour. His wife, Toki, was a very kind woman and also very humble and caring. She met Oden during his time on Whitebeard's crew and the two of them had two children. Later during their journey, when they were already part of the Roger Pirates, Toki became ill and had to stay behind in Wano. Toki was murdered shortly after Oden's execution.

Red-Haired Shanks: Yes, this is the Shanks, the one we all know and love. He was found in a treasure chest by Roger and was with the crew as an apprentice from at least when he was nine years old until the crew disbanded a year before Roger's execution. He got the straw hat from Roger at the very latest when he was nine years old.

Buggy the Clown: Buggy was an apprentice of the Roger Pirates at the same time that Shanks was and they became more or less friendly rivals during this time. Shanks is directly or indirectly responsible for Buggy accidentally eating his devil fruit at least 25 years ago.

Inuarashi and Nekomamushi: Dogstorm Inuarashi and Cat Viper Nekomamushi are the current rulers of the mink tribe. They originally became shipwrecked at Wano Country and then followed Oden first to the Whitebeard Pirates, then to the Roger Pirates.

Now, time for the actual topic of this post:

The History of the Roger Pirates

The Roger Pirates were formed 50 years ago when Roger met Rayleigh. Though Rayleigh initially laughed at Roger's request to join him, he did end up sailing with him either way. They gathered many friends and crewmates on their voyage and Roger developed a personal rivalry with Monkey D. Garp.

37 years ago, the Roger Pirates reached Lodestar Island, the last island on the Grand Line that can be reached by regular methods via a Log Pose. They are the first crew to make it there in 800 years and become aware of the existence of a final island in the Grand Line that cannot be reached without the information on the Road Poneglyphs. Roger had previously stolen the information on the Road Poneglyph owned by Big Mom, meaning they already owned one Road Poneglyph out of four.

36 years ago, the Roger Pirates were involved in an event called the God Valley Incident, taking place on the island of God Valley in the West Blue. The existence of a manhunt against the native population there was leaked to the outside world, which prompted the legendary and legendarily vicious Rocks Pirates to travel to the island. The Roger Pirates and Monkey D. Garp went in pursuit, and a large, chaotic battle ensued with long-reaching consequences for the entire world. Nonetheless, knowledge of these events is restricted and the island was mysteriously erased from existence and from the maps of the world. The Rocks Pirates were defeated at the hands of an alliance between the Roger Pirates and Monkey D. Garp, leading the Rocks Pirates' former members to form powerful crews of their own that still have a big impact on the world, though not many people acknowledge their connection through the Rocks Pirates nowadways. The Roger Pirates found Shanks during or after this very incident.

26 years ago, Roger discovered that he had a fatal and incurable disease. He then recruited the doctor Crocus from Reverse Mountain who was supposed to keep him alive as long as possible as he led his crew on a final voyage across the Grand Line.

At about this time, the Roger Pirates raided another ship at sea and found a treasure map and a devil fruit, the Bara Bara no Mi or Chop Chop Fruit. Buggy kept the treasure map for himself as it led to a treasure at the bottom of the sea. When he found out about the devil fruit, he was initially put off by it as eating it would make him unable to swim and thus unable to get the treasure. However, when Shanks told him that it was worth 100,000,000 Berry if sold, he became very interested in it and planned to steal it, so he made a fake devil fruit and ate it in front of the crew. He then planned to sneak off the ship with the real fruit and the map, get rich, and form his own crew, but Shanks startled him and he hid it in his mouth. Shanks then startled him a second time and Buggy accidentally swallowed the devil fruit. As he shouted at Shanks over this, the treasure map fell into the water. Without thinking, Buggy jumped after it but, due to the effects of the devil fruit, was unable to swim. He would have drowned, had Shanks not saved him.

25 years ago, the Roger Pirates fought the Golden Lion Pirates in the Battle of Edd War. The captain of the Golden Lion Pirates was Shiki the Golden Lion, a former Rocks member. He had asked Roger to join him so they could rule the world together, but Roger had turned him down as he had no interest in world domination. What ensued next was a fierce sea battle fought on the sea called Edd War, a part of the New World, the second half of the Grand Line. Initially, it looked as if the Roger Pirates were bound to lose because they were vastly outnumbered by Shiki's armada, but then, a storm hit Edd War and half of Shiki's armada sank. As such, the battle was broken off and declared a draw. Shiki got a piece of a steering wheel permanently lodged into his brain during the chaos caused by the storm.

24 years ago, the Roger Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates met on an island in Paradise, the first half of the Grand Line, and Whitebeard reluctantly agreed to allow Oden (who, as a member of the Kozuki Family, could read Poneglyphs) to join the Roger Pirates after both Roger and Oden himself had asked him for permission. Toki came aboard with her husband, along with their two children, and Inuarashi and Nekomamushi snuck on as stowaways. The crew celebrated Oden's induction into their ranks with a party.

Within the same year, the Roger Pirates ventured to Skypeia and Fishman Island, where they found their second Road Poneglyph. Oden, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi then revealed that the final two Road Poneglyphs were in their home countries, Wano and Zou respectively, and the Roger Pirates successfully found them there. Kozuki Toki fell ill and was left behind on the island of Wano, along with her and Oden's two children. Oden wanted to give up his dream and stay behind with her, but she threatened him with a divorce if he gave up because of her. As such, Oden continued with the Roger Pirates as they travelled to the final island.

23 years ago, the Roger Pirates charted the location of the final island using the four Road Poneglyphs. Buggy fell ill and, as such, he and Shanks stayed behind on another island. The rest of the Roger Pirates made it to the final island and decided to name it Laugh Tale. After returning from Laugh Tale, Roger disbanded the crew and sailed off on his own. The now former crew brought Oden to Wano before everyone started going their own ways. Buggy and Shanks presumably stayed together until Roger's execution.

Notes:

22 years ago, Roger turned himself in to the Marines and was publicly executed in Loguetown, his birth town on the Polestar Islands in the East Blue, giving it the epithet The Town of the Beginning and End. Shanks and Buggy were both in attendance and most likely split up after this event, forming their own crews, the Red Hair Pirates and the Buggy Pirates respectively. Gol D. Roger's final words set off the Great Age of Pirates with thousands of pirates taking to the seas to find the Pirate King's legendary treasure, the One Piece.

"Dogstorm" and "Cat Viper" are not the actual epithets of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi but rather the translations of their names that they are referred to as in some translations. Still, I decided to treat them as epithets because they seemed the most expressive.

Some translations refer to the final island as "Raftel" instead of "Laugh Tale". This is wrong and stems from bad transliteration. BUT you can use it for fic purposes as the World Government has a habit of changing the names of people or things to hide the truth about them. For example, referring to Gol D. Roger as Gold Roger. Because of the nature of the things to be found on Laugh Tale, it's very possible that the World Government would want to change to island's name. On to more important things! I'm mentally ill and physically disabled. Chronic Pain, Chronic Migraines with Aura, Seizures caused by aforementioned Migraines, Parkinson's, DID, ADHD, Autism, NPD with BPD and ASPD traits. Feel free to ask questions about these, though I can't promise my answer will be great

I stream every so often, and I write mostly poetry. Though I also write stories occasionally. I do draw a bit as well though very little is digital. Here are the questions, and the answers are below!

12) How did they get together?

In my HC, they met the same way they did in canon, at the Deli when Aurora and Casey tended to the man who fell ill. But in this world, Casey is available and the thirst between the two of them hits fast and furious. Tobias tried to hunt Casey down on his own but came up short, so hinted his interest to Aurora during her interview (my boy is professional lol) and Aurora dropped a hint about where she and Casey would be Saturday morning. This is chronicled in A Deli..ghtful Meeting and A Not So Chance Encounter.

Of course, Tobias fucked things up when they started dating. It took a chemical attack, him helping to save her life, the start of a friendship, and a whole lot of love and care for them to end up together after all.

18) Who likes to read?

They both do, voraciously. In fact, books played a part in their courtship. Post chemical attack, Tobias used to pick Casey up once a week and take her out, wherever she wanted to go, just to make her more comfortable again. She often chose a favorite bookstore in Cambridge, and Tobias would always buy her a book. Though they were just friends then, they were slowly falling in love. The Fine Print outlines one of their book store dates and shows how things took a turn. :)

22) How do their personalities complement each other?

They are very similar in many ways. They're both upbeat, social, funny, charming, and full of life. All of these things make them highly compatible with each other, but there are differences as well. Tobias tends to be more pragmatic, Casey more idealistic, in their approaches to life and medicine. Initially, that causes some conflicts, but in time they come to see the value in their partner's approach as well as their own. This creates a balance in their relationship, it provides them with a good sounding board for each other for medical issues, and it really comes in handy when they become parents.

36) Do they have any pet names for each other?

His first real nickname for her is "Kid". I should point out, that this is mostly in the DTI world, but it is in their HC as well. In DTI, I feel like it's a protective measure. He was in love with Casey, but she was in love with Ethan; "kid" was like a reminder that he'd never be with her (didn't work out that way lol). In their HC, it's kind of the same thing. After the attack, he realizes he is painfully in love with her, but she made it clear they're just friends. He wants to be there for her and respect her wishes, so the "kid" is a bit of a reminder.

T is big on calling her by loving names, but they tend to be common ones like sweetheart, baby, and princess (especially in bed 😏).

Casey also uses standard terms of endearment, like baby, honey, *cough* daddy *cough* 😂😂😂

59) Who can rap better?

😂😂 I can see these two clowns laying in bed together trying to out rap one another, bursting into fits of laughter, and of course, it would end with them having sex. lol

I think Tobias would have Casey beat, but Casey would refuse to accept this. She thinks her mastery of the Hamilton soundtrack givers her superiority here, Tobias rolls his eyes and tells her how wrong she is. When friends come over they will occasionally ask for their opinions, and it gets to the point that no one is willing to visit without a promise that they will not do this, because in reality, neither is very good. 😂😂 (I loved this one!)
