Knowing Halsin's last name now, it fits so well with how he left offerings for Astarion not knowing the latter was alive. In Celtic lore, silver boughs serve as tokens that allow the dead to pass to the afterlife (like the gold coins to cross the river Styx in Greek myth). It's like the offerings were a foreshadowing of his future oath of devotion; the shining branches that overcame the despair of death and eventually knitted the two elves' fates together. I dunno, I guess I'm just really really REALLY super jazzed about your writing! (and your art! Oh heavens, your art) Can't wait for this weekend!

Super Fanfic Rec List -- Iron Dad Edition (because I just wanna share the love)

I’ve had such a blast reading fanfic of the IronDad and SpiderSon variety over the last 6 months or so, and I thought I’d just make a rec list of some of my favorite stories.  Most of them are angsty, with whump and hurt/comfort because that’s what I live for.

Right, of course, because our Daehyung was still on the angsty anime boy thing where he was too cool for friendship and pretended everyone he hung out with he did so for convenience alone. Uh-huh.

Anyway, we shouldn’t push this emotionally constipated brat too much - he’ll come around at his own pace.

To answer the question, no, he had not lost any friends within the past year. In fact, he’d be gaining them like crazy. For a socially awkward, rude, insensitive, gloomy guy with no obvious redeeming qualities, Daehyung remain baffled as to why people wanted to become friends with him.

If they had some sort of nefarious plot going on in secret, then they sure were hiding it well - some of these weirdos had been a part of Daehyung’s life for years now and to date, nobody tried to steal his kidneys.

beck was stupid to allow herself to think this would go any other way for her.   stupid to let david convince her that everything would be okay,   that she was safe.   she hasn’t been safe since joe violated her life and took everything from her before trying to take her life from her.   she thought she could run away,   that leaving would keep her safe.   but,   she knows now.   she won’t be safe until joe is spending the rest of his life rotting in a cell.   but,   now he knows she’s alive and she knows it’s only a matter of time until he knows where she is.   the mere fact is enough to send her into a panic.   she has no right to be angry at anyone but herself.   maybe if she told the officers the truth,   that joe goldberg was the one who locked her in that cage and tried to murder her,   this wouldn’t be happening all over again.   but,   instead,   her anger is directed towards david.   

the anger is evident in her eyes,   fear hidden somewhere there.   beck had to force herself to be angry,   to let her angry overpower her fear.   otherwise,   she was scared that she’d just breakdown.   ❝   maybe you’re not understanding the problem here.   if he knows i didn’t die,   he’s going to find out where i am and then he’s going to lock me in that fucking cage again and   ...   ❞   she stops herself,   inhaling a shaky breath.   ❝   there’s no way i’m going back in that cage.   i’m not.   ❞
