Why? ok this isnt really an answer but......every female character. all of them. i am not exaggerating. vega's angel twist couldve been so good but was so stupid. she has no character traits other than "charlies overprotective girlfriend". the exact same thing is true for millie. most of the mom characters die or are bitches. stella is the worst example of this as there is nothing to her at ALL other than evil (earlier i was watching some of the early eps and you can see so many photographs in the bg of her, stolas, and via looking like a happy couple. whered that go). charlie is the princess of fucking hell and yet is completely and totally useless and is worlds biggest pushover. velvet is usually ignored in favor of the 2 male vees, even in (or even ESPECIALLY in) fanworks. why is nifty like that. also honorary male character: PENTIOUSSSS PENTIOUS PENTIOUS PENTIOUS. 8. If you had to rewrite a ship in canon - which one and how? ALL OF THEM. LET ME SAVE THIS SHOW. stolitz and huskerdust are the big ones though......for stolitz, i would get rid of their little quid pro quo deal. i know a lot of critics hate it, but i think you could make the "childhood friends" thing work, if, as adults, they rekindled that friendship first. no weird sex deals/manipulation on EITHER end. let them bond over something else. with huskerdust, i also think it could work if husk didnt start really getting interested/involved with him until AFTER angel did some healing. husk shoudlnt have to be the one to fucking save him, he should give angel a wake up call so he knows hes continuing the cycle of abuse. i think maybe after angel makes amends for all the sexual harassment, THEN they could become friends. THEN they could become lovers.

WELL THERES A LITTLE BIT OF A STORY, So my friend has this ocean au, Astro sirens are like these big fish serpent guys, Sunrise is a big sun I think he's a lil based on a lion fish, and there's Moonfall who's his brother I think they're really neat (actually I should post some of my art of them now that I think about it)

Anyways Bit bit (the sun) and Bitey (the moon) are Mini sirens, they're about 6 feet long (This is kinda long vdgshak Warning for mention of some violence but it's okay) Story wise Bit bit and Bitey are in a Qpp, they wear rings on their tails kinda like friendship bracelets

One time Bitey tried to fight a bull shark which, was not a great idea and Bit bit got injured trying to get Bitey out of that fight safely. Bitey was passed tf out and Bit bit dragged him onto shore and tries to tend to their wounds, but they're both worse for wear.

One stormy night, Moonfall comes across them (giant astro siren Moon, he's https://www.tumblr.com/crabas-lordes 's character) Bit bit's not doin great but's protective of Bitey, he can barely keep himself propped up on his arms bc he got a lil nerve damage (He just has a shaky arm now) bc of the storm Moonfall's feeling pretty soft so he decides to help them out even though Bit bit isn't very trusting of a giant predator.

So Moonfall keeps them in his under water cave home for a little while under the condition that when they're both healed up they need to leave and the next time he sees them they're a meal.

And Bit bit's like "ok", Bitey's passed out basically that whole time, he doesn't stay long after he wakes up with his messed up fin and they say their last goodbye to Moonfall After that they're taken in by Squish who's this seaslug astro siren (I'm p sure they're a sub species so they're a lil smaller than the regular astro sirens) who belongs to https://twitter.com/BShikiwara they. She's very motherly and just adopts everyone teensy Moonfall is her friend so Moonfall sees Bit bit and Bitey again like "ah- fuck its you" but he can't follow through with eating them cause Squish would kill him

So Bitey's like "oh yeah I recognize you" and just has the audacity to be like "lol you can't eat us you're emotionally attached" and they have this relationship of Bitey teasing Moonfall about that and Moonfall being like "bet" and trying to scare Bitey by dangling him over his mouth a lot Bit bit's kinda worried about Bitey but doesn't interfere much, Bitey has depressive episodes so one day he kinda tries to swim away from everyone and Bit bit's left worrying about him Moonfall follows him around noticing he's sad and bitey gets kinda "why're you here, I'm just food to you" and Moonfall's like "you cant even offer me sustenance" and's pretty persistent on keeping an eye on Bitey to keep him safe So Bitey kinda gives up tryin to get away from him and they end up having a very depressed conversation where Bitey shares his "im kinda nothing but a snack /neg" feelings and Moonfall listens ands like "I never really thought about that"

After that Bitey just generally feels comfier around Moonfall and just implicitly trusts him, and makes depressed jokes with him like "If i died would u keep my bones?" / "how would you like to eat me, I really wanna be grilled" and Moonfalls just "lol dw i'd grill u" there was an incident where Bitey was being dangled over Moonfall's mouth while they were fuckin around and he purposefully dropped in and Moonfall had a heart attack and choked him out like "don't do that again omg" I love their relationship, Bitey looks up to Moonfall and wants to be a big strong guy like him even tho that's not possible he's stuck at 6 feet long Sunrise on the other hand just sees Bit bit and Bitey as stressballs and dolls to throw around which like, Bitey's better at dealing with than Bit bit is cause Bitey will actively try to get away from him and Bit bit will just accept his fate be'in squeezed and tossed around like nothin which really hurts him He's ok Moonfall and Squish are protective of him when Sunrise gets too rough

Bit bit and Bitey wear ponchos bc Bit bit's self conscious of his shoulder scar and Bitey wears his as emotional support for him. Bitey thinks his scars are really cool They're also super food motivated, Bit bit's the more cautious one but Bitey'll just omn your whole arm on accident if you offer food

ok ok ok ok ok so ok so. this is long im sorry

lets get basics out of the way b4 i move onto stupid brainchild stuff. night furies are highly adapted to be nocturnal and thus are very vulnerable during the day considering their lack of heavy plated scales and their dark coloration. annd we know they at least live north enough for berk (which is apparently somewhere in the norwegian sea) . so my brain tells me in order to be Least vulnerable, night furies are native to the arctic circle (or antarctic if ur a light fury) where day/night cycles are in periods of 6-ish months.

theyre kinda a mix of snow leopards and peregrine falcons in my head and eat the same stuff (wild goats or sheep, reindeer, birds, rodents) and ofc fish But are capable of being omnivorous and arent at all picky. theyre highly solitary; each one has a huge territory they use as "home base" and occasionally fly out of to hunt (sometimes flocks of night furies will gather in one location to follow migrating prey species but this usually leads to conflict). theyll generally live in and defend the boundaries of their territory for their entire life once its chosen, especially once the 6-month daytime rolls around and they need a secure area.

BUT. juveniles, bc theyre not strong/experienced enough to defend or contest territories, tend to be annually migratory and move south once the sun rises in march. night fury kit markings are super bright and once theyve faded into a dark grey color (~10 human years) theyre generally old enough to go back and contest for a territory then defend it well (toothless got caught by the red death doing this)

bc i consider most of the dragon species in httyd sapient i like to explain this instinctual behavior by giving night furies their own sort of mythology which is a Whole thing so like buckle in (its under the cut)

night furies dont have a Religion but they have myths based on figures. they have 2 main ones—the Great Mother and the Blue Queen, which respectively represent nighttime and daytime as concepts

the story is basically: night furies used to be able to call down skyfire (or lightning). the Blue Queen, jealous because she had no fire, began to use her authority to demand all the night furies hand over their skyfire, and consumed it for herself. the Great Mother was the only night fury which was brave enough to disobey and discovered a way to hide the skyfire within their bodies so they could pretend to not have any. when the Blue Queen found out about her trick, they started an endless battle. this ofc is the day/night cycle, where the occasionally red coloration of dawn/dusk is their blood. the idea is that the Great Mother shelters all of the night furies with her giant wings to hide them from the Blue Queens eye (the sun). the stars are holes in her wings that came from subsequent battles and are heavily used to navigate like humans do. northern night furies call polaris the Pierced Point and its considered the first star, where the Blue Queen drew first blood by striking the Great Mother in her fire cavity, which is why its the brightest star. a bunch of different stars and constellations have their own stories (the names are usually unified, though sometimes the content of the stories differ based on region. they all convey some type of lesson or explanation for an instinct)

night fury parents often explain to their kits, once they leave the nest, that they have to migrate because the Blue Queen will stop them from growing their fire if they stay up north, and by following the Great Mother south where their fight is more tumultuous (bc the day/night cycle is more regular), theyre helping her by learning to fend for themselves without a territory so she can focus on the battle with the Blue Queen. its like telling your kid santa is real, its a kinder way to get them to gtfo so they wont die trying to fuck with older night furies. some kits grow out of this belief entirely and others consider it kind of a pilgrimage. depends on the family

this is why night furies are so resistant to reliance and hierarchy: the antagonistic figure in their myths is a Queen who abuses her power and the right way to honor their protective figure is by learning to be independent. culturally night furies kind of have this complex abt them where vulnerability of any kind is Really emotionally intimate (which is why i hc that meeting and choosing mates can take for-fucking-ever. night furies prefer monogamy bc its less people to be vulnerable with, but theyre also picky because this is a huuuge thing for them).

u can kinda imagine how weird toothless is by general night fury standards then bc he willingly flies during the sun and chooses to be interdependent with hiccup. he had a whole crisis abt it in the first movie and before he really accepted loving hiccup he rationalized the position he was in by saying that the Great Mother was putting him on trial for hurting her somehow. obv by the end of the movie he doesnt think that anymore but for a little bit there he was like "oh god im the main character in a constellation story"

so we have a few choices here!!! some are more developed than others simply bc i thought about them more but theres at least a little bit of lore for everyone here!! ill add an asterisk* besides those who arent fully fleshed out :]

ill be adding a summary of them beside them :]

notes: its a fantasy world (bc i find them more fun to do since i can just go apeshit with designs and loreand shit) so very few of these guys are just human, most are some kind of species which ill specify beside them so just ask for more details if you’re curious!!

these are also not *full* summaries im leaving out some stuff so ask if you want anything specific elaborated on!! (please ask im so so happy to explain ive had this in my head for months and ive told exactly one person so im more than happy to keep ranting)

vesper: one of the first ones i actually thought up, pretty traumatized older brother to rumi!! has issues with dealing with grief and guilt over his dead bf. tree/plant person (i never gave any official names, but just think of those “[insert thing] as a person” designs!!), specifically based off a cherry blossom tree!! (im planning to draw his quick ref sheet next :D), has a big big sword!!

rumi: vesper’s younger sister!! also traumatized lol, main event that caused it was the same thing as vesper (it was this big deal i can go more into detail on later, its their motivations for like 90% of what they do), dealing with issues after essentially being left to cope and (try to, it didn’t exactly work out the best;;) all by herself/growing up too fast after mentioned event. even though shes younger shes taller than vesper and will never not make fun of him for it. very playful with her brother!! has a big big battle axe that i had so much fun drawing. also tree person, shes based off a willow tree :D, but shes missing her branch/antler thingies.

unma*: dead bf. liiiiitle bit of a femboy. he was really kind to vesper and loved him a lot and FEELS SO BAD about what happened. literally all he wants in his afterlife is for vesper to MOVE THE FUCK ON. desperately just wants vesper to be happy again even though hes dead and gone. honestly same goes for rumi, even though they werent as close as vesper and unma had been, rumi still really cared for him and looked up to him and feels awful about his death, and unma here just wants them both to stop holding on so tight to what happened, move on as best they can, and be happy again. (they’re both getting there eventually tho <3)

dorian: friends with ebony!! also vespers new very very loving bf (although where i left off in my lil imagined storyline theyre not OFFICIAL just yet bc technically in the storyline i havent gotten to that point, but i do already have many interactions imagined already lol), also in turns becomes friends w/ rumi :D. really nice guy, a wandering medic/healer who generally prefers to not kill anyone or attack unprovoked (but he will make exceptions,,,), has some guilt associated with those he couldn’t save, but handles it MUCH better than vesper… (but to be fair its not a very high bar to cross), carries around an umbrella that doubles as a fighting staff. really devoted to helping as many people as he can. as shown in the ref sheet, while i, again, dont have like any official name for his kind hes got those horns and a tail!! (mostly bc i enjoy drawing them hehe)

ebony*: very shy and really really sweet spider girl who lives in a library with a ghost boy!! shes actually trans :D. honestly a little bit of an anxious mess, similar personality to sucrose (genshin) and kohane (project sekai). aside from the ghost kid she lives with, she doesnt talk to many people, and doesnt have much contact with her family since they didnt have a great reaction to her coming out. theyre also kind of overbearing. for her design, honestly shes incredibly similar to muffet from undertale.

ghost kid*: sorry i have like,,, so little on him. i swear i had a name for him but ive COMPLETELY forgotten. if you have name suggestions give me them pls. i do remember how he died though, feel free to ask about that since it technically involves the town ebony lives in too. i do know he has a cute lil paper crown though <3

weiss: mature lesbian gal. shes pretty smart and serious and especially enjoys working with mechanical stuff. literally made herself a fucking gun. what a girlboss. she used to work as a doctor bc she really wanted to help her partner who has a pretty serious illness, but the place she worked for ended up doing pretty fucked up stuff “in the name of research” and she unwittingly helped in those projects. feels really guilty for it but shes still determined to find someway to save her partner. technically on the run with said partner, and they do lil shows together!!

jex: weiss’s partner!!! originally they were inspired by that specific kind of childish character where theyre like “lets play a game heehee!!!” *tries to fucking murder you* “what a fun game :D” (i love these kinds of characters), but theyre not exactly that extreme. however they do really enjoy doing incredibly risky things acting like its a game. just straight up gambles with death constantly bc they find it exciting. their illness really held them back when they were younger, pretty much never allowed to do anything by their parents since they were trying to extend their lifespan by as much as possible, and they felt like they missed out a lot on just enjoying the life they did have, so thats their goal for the rest of their life. they’ve mostly accepted their inevitable death (which pisses weiss the fuck off) and they really just want to enjoy the time they do have with their loved ones doing what they find fun. they also have a big fucking double scythe. because i was gonna give somebody here a synth and rumi already had the battle axe.

encyclopedia: what's your favourite niche piece of lore?

idk if it's exactly niche bc it's pretty easy to come across it, but the little detail abt ,tzaraath", the elysium-wide pandemic of prion disease, was rlly interesting to me....... in the game it's only rlly brought up bc the economic and social consequences of it led to the revolution, but im curious abt the disease itself. iirc it was supposedly spread by potatoes, which seems like an unlikely vector for a human neurodegenerative disease?!?!?!?

i also wonder how it was dealt with/eradicated. in reality, back in the 80s/90s when bse/cjd (which is also a neurodegenerative prion disease) was more of a concern, it was mostly dealt with through testing to prevent spread from cattle to humans, and through large scale eradication of cattle. however even with modern medicine, prion diseases in general are pretty much untreatable and if you have one like cjd you're just kinda fucked lol. cattle with it can't be saved either and usually get culled. so im curious to know how tzaraath was dealt with in elysium given that it was supposedly a widespread disease that there was probably no cure for. did everyone with it just die? how have they been able to prevent it spreading again since, do they text crops for it? is it survivable, are there any survivors still around? is the disease itself still present in the population just at a lower level? idk it's just rlly interesting to me

the other little lore snippets that interest me are: 1) joyce mentioning a specialist fungal species that lives at the edge of the pale and 2) ruby knowing someone who used to work at a repeater station (possibly an ex-lover of hers, even?).......... i need to know more abt both of those too...........

the whole scene with the phasmid is my favourite overall moment in the game, but holy shit this particular series of lines always makes me cry. it's so loving and tender, and the acknowledgement that life can be terrifying and horrible and sometimes it takes a lot of willpower to keep going it so oddly comforting to me. it makes me feel like im not alone in how i feel and that it's ok to find it hard and struggle, just as long as i keep going and keep trying. and it's comforting to think abt the insects waiting for us at the end of it <3

inland empire: if video game Disco Elysium was put in a hydraulic press. if it was bundled and squeezed into a small object that fit in the palm of your hand. what would that look like? what would you do with it, then?

hm......... i thought abt this for a while and i think it would be like an iridescent little die with a glass/polished stone kind of texture, and would look mostly blueish green with sparkles of orange, but would change depending on how the light hit it and what angle you were viewing it from. it would be a bit bigger than other normal dice, but still a standard cube shape with 6 sides. it would be cool to the touch and kinda heavy, and smooth at the edges instead of sharp. i think the first thing i would do would be roll it to see what number i got

wow I can't believe I watched the entirety if season 2 in one night tbh everything I've heard about this show from people whose opinions i generally trust has been that its (and I quote) "laughably bad" & like ruined all of TNG for them & I was honestly scared it would ruin it for me too cause tbh I became a trekkie when i was 9/10 & a lot of bad things were going on in my life at that point & star trek was one thing that always gave me happiness & then later I got into it again during like the deep quarantine where no one was leaving their houses at all & just about everyone around me got radicalized into racist far-right fearmongering qanon shit but the idea that someday humans will be able & intelligent enough not only to put aside our own differences but to be able to befriend alien species & those aliens being willing to help humanity at one of its lowest points & someday even if it doesnt happen in my own lifetime, that people can exist who genuinely care about the needs of many & actively work to better the lives of people throughout the universe instead of just giving in to individualism & cynicism & irony poisoning which is such an easy trap to fall into gave me so much hope for humanity like yall I'm literally getting choked up typing this & I never cry & I was kind of worried that this show would stomp on everything i loved about star trek but thankfully it hasnt so far (though to be fair I like a lot of objectively bad things I mean my favourite decade of fashion is the 70s so maybe this is just jingling the metaphorical keys at me)

well now that I've finished it I can say I really dont know why I saw so much hate for it like maybe I've just operated in weird spaces of the internet but I mean I really dont see what there is to outright hate about it (I mean early on some of the characters felt very stilted like agnes in the first season was just yapping & was giving millenial cringe to the highest degree but I think by the 2nd season she redeemed herself but then was that even canon considering the 3rd season? idk I definitely have criticisms but I wouldn't call it "laughably bad" & it definitely hasnt forever ruined my view of star trek thank god)

also I'm just going through all the seasons of tng & watching my favorite episodes & some random ones & it makes me laugh so hard when they show picard wearing anything other than his uniform cause he's always just in the sluttiest outfits ever 😭 they had patrick stewart running around in a v-neck & booty shorts

gah the best of both worlds part 1 & 2 + family work so well as like a trilogy but they're also such heartbreaking episodes like borg assimilation is one of those things that just becomes increasingly unrelentingly more & more horrifying the more you think about it & the scenario of those episodes would literally be so terrifying for anyone involved like beverly seeing the guy she's sort of in love with become the face of this genocidal fascist species but then her son is on board the enterprise & just watched his mom be sent on an away team where it was possible she might not come back or worse & also wesley having to see picard be the face of the borg & probably feeling like he just lost another father figure & like it would literally have no good outcomes for anyone cause even the borg don't want to be borg but it was forced upon them

on that note I kind of have a headcanon that the borg would have originated from like, a super technologically advanced planet's military putting cybernetic implants in all their soldiers for efficiency so they could have a hive mind & think as one & coordinate seamlessly & always be up to date on what other sectors of the military were doing & then deciding that instead of killing their enemies, they would forcibly conscript them into the military by assimilating them & by doing this they eventually took over whichever planet they originated on. eventually this wasn't enough for them so they started traveling the universe & assimilating whole planets & that's how it came to the point we see in tng & beyond

sigh they really wrote the episode hero worship for all us little weird kids who connected to data didnt they

if they really wanted to give geordi a romance with someone they couldve tried to put him with ro laren bc their dynamic in the next phase was so cute like his outgoing-ness + her aloofness & how he sort of brought her out of her shell in that episode UGH walk with me. or they couldve just made him gay which they were apparently considering but decided against? idk but I mean the man literally orders an ice coffee in the same episode where he falls in love with a girl just by watching her vlogs. how did they preemptively stereotype him before the stereotype of gay people loving ice coffee even existed (I jest) but like ugh ANYTHING EXCEPT THE PARASOCIAL INCEL SHIT THEY ALWAYS PUT HIM INTO & THEN IN THE VERY LAST EPISODE THEY SAY HE'S MARRIED TO LEAH BRAHMS LIKE NO. PLEASE. JUSTICE FOR GEORDI. END THE CHARACTER ASSASSINATION. but the future in that episode isnt even canon & thankfully in picard they never outright say who he had kids with so like in my mind they are not the product of reply-guy-ification but a normal relationship (also justice for leah brahms & whoever she was married to.) idk why i even feel so strongly about this. I guess maybe because geordi is otherwise such a good character & the very concept of him is so ahead of its time & obviously characters need to have flaws but did it have to be Those kinds of flaws specifically </3

someone, either lance or keith, makes a mental or verbal comment about how weird it is that the black lion is *this* conflicted between choosing literally anyone else over ZARKON--- a guy who has enslaved more than half the universe. who has wiped out trillions of species and sucked the life from dozens of planets and solar systems. how he doesnt really know if he can trust the lions judgement at *all* if the head of voltron is willing to listen to zarkon of all people.

in se 2 ep 13 allura doesnt get that stupidly random ability to absorb haggars attacks for exactly this episode and this episode alone. instead they destroy the komar in a more reasonable way. like dodging one of haggars attacks and having her accidentally damage it, actually damaging it themselves (bomb, just hitting it, etc), or by the lions. theres a fucking battle going on like a couple yards away. aint no way no stray fire isnt hitting that machinery.

zarkon actually fucking dies in that explosion because come the fuck on get real. for this reason this battle occurs much later in the timelaline than it does in the show. haggar and the druids still operate like hes alive, just very wounded, but it's just to keep the empire from crumbling until they can contact lotor.

keith does not leave for the blades. at all. he finds out about his heritage through them but he stays with voltron as the RED lion bc theres NO MUSICAL LIONS IN THIS FUCKING HOUSE. he still goes to the quantum abyss with krolia but it wasnt as a blade member, it was for a high stakes coop mission gone wrong. shiro was recovered by this point so they still operate with only 4 lions for the few weeks they think he was gone for.

allura still presses the idea of a replacement, much to keiths upset, but they dont try anyone in the castje because theyre all already piloting a lion or the castle. can you tell im being salty

voltron as a concept becomes less popular than the voltron Lions, as voltron doesmt make an appearance for many months.

i just need to point out how funny it is that lotor needs to surround himself with a posse of strong women bc otherwise hes useless

and again keith is still defacto leader as the right hand. he still pushes them after lotor when they cant handle it--but not because theyre in new lions. theyre all still shaken up from the fight with zarkon, esp keith. hunks the one who isnt moving fast enough when being fired at. allura isnt just fucking off with the blue lion so theyre all atill able to fight pretry well, it goes fast but they cant form voltron so he gets disappointed and leaves

their sensors being fucked with is really what causes the downfall. keith rushes ahead in red and disrupts the communication. pidge takes a hit and hunk goes back, lance staying with keith to comvince him to turn back.

[parasocial bestie] yes i know its very late night by now yes i will go 2 sleep later BUT LIKE. i got back to remembering wings ask but not exactly continuing the thought but like. idk. something about his wings and lmi and adkjwhfhshd a scene that transpired from the Thought like, when lumine first knew about xiao's wings a little more deeply, listening to what he's willing to speak of the history of it. how he doesnt remember the sensation of flying and using, how he lost it in his past torture, and to the point he just,... leaves it be on his back. it's set before zhongli finds the blueprints, and the story itself stretches a bit to how then xiao began to acknowledge his wings.

anyway back to lumine, xiao had taken it slow to reveal something he never thought of expressing yknow? cus its not like it affects his way of transport, but it does limit the methods, BUT xiao also never used his wings nor remember the experience of it. this is what he tells to her, and it becomes sort of a heart-to-heart discussion. but that's not the entire point tho LMAO what i'm getting at is the way lumine would want to make him feel better by speaking of her own experiences close to what he is; namely, a person with wings. herself, although shes not avian. so she tells him of her experience with bird people from other worlds instead.

like yeah this is the whole point of the thought process basically HSJFJSHFH like, i love that in the years lumine and xiao had been accustomed to each other for these casual but also comfortable conversations, the former just kinda slips in her Otherworlder stories, be it as examples or fun trivia or anything. it doesnt happen necessarily often, but just enough for a chat to be lighter and sparks enough curiosity for xiao to keep engaging or simply listen. so like, in this scene particularly. lumine tells him about how humans with wings are sorta some world's kids' fantasy depictions of angels. or others would think they're gods. or that one time theyre not humans with bird wings but humanoid birds! like, they stand like people but with bird heads like what!! and to xiao who had felt a little bad for dumping his sob story about his wings would be both assured and amused at those stories, changing his mind more and more that maybe. just maybe its worth a try flying again. not that her stories is the cause of it than it being his decision entirely.

i just think eueugehfh lumine would tell him about the stars and constellation he never sees, right? then she would enlighten him with cultures and technology. id like to think maybe at one point she comes back from a quick jump out of teyvat for Stuff, she brings along souvenirs. and she invites her friends to try em, and for xiao its probably best if theyre alone so he doesnt need to feel more embarrassed than he is (extra bit i thought abt her introducing him to multiplr gadgets from a futuristic world she and aether visited, she gave him some fancy tech skates, and boy to see him fumble so much is just so funny and cute i hdkwjthshbfwjfh and of all gadgets he actually liked the skates). so like yeahgdjahd!! explodes i will sleep now gnite muah i hope u have a good evening 2day aly!!

I think there’s something very aro about lord of the rings, that at the heart of it it’s about the relationships we make in life and I won’t ever be over it. Let me explain.

I’m not here to bash anyone’s headcanons or ships im just going with the facts here.

In the end of the story, Eowyn gets married. So do Aragorn and Sam. It’s literally almost never referenced tho. They aren’t part of the story really, they aren’t important outside of Aragorn.

You know what does drive the story though?

Sam and Frodo. “I can’t carry it but I can carry you” and all that comes with it. “Don’t go where I can’t follow.”

Merry and Pipin. “Are you going to leave me?” “No I’m going to care for you.”

Boromir, who’s father was so upset at his death he almost burnt his son alive. Faramir, still trying to impress the father who to his face said “I wish it had been him who lived, and you who had died.”

Gandalf, shepherding all of them to what they need.

The ents, who got involved bc they lost their friends.

Legolas and Gimli, “I never thought I’d die by the side of an elf” “what about the side of a friend?” who go to sail off the earth together, but only after waiting for Aragorn to die.

Legolas and Aragorn, speaking their shared language together, to be important enough to your family that they join a war meant for another species for you.

Aragorn and Eowyn, he doesn’t give her permission to fight, doesn’t say “I’m the one who gets to decide that” just simply says that she is capable of it, and no one should be able to stop her.

Eowyn and Merry, both people kept out of the fight because of their perceived being “less than” who without, the war would’ve been lost entirely.

Fuck, even Frodo and Sméagol. If he had not gone “I see myself in this pitiful thing, and I think it deserves a chance and love” they wouldn’t have found Mordor. If he has not shown mercy, he would have kept the ring for himself, because don’t forget it took him loosing his finger to give it up.

This isn’t a story about romance. Romance often takes the backburner to relationships that despite being none romantic, seem more real, more solid. The touching foreheads and the cradling faces, the carrying of each other, the hugs that occur every reunion , the kisses of foreheads and cheeks, the tears shed and the poetry read.

It’s a story that prioritizes our connects to each other on a level that the story says is deeper than romance, that our families, our friends, or even just allies who have similar issues or goals, can be the most important thing in the universe, can shake the world, and that’s so so beautiful.

henrycavill well the cats out of the bag... not the way we intended to tell you guys which is a shame. We are very sad that this is the way you all had to find out. With both of our jobs being very demanding (we love them nonetheless and are very grateful) we don’t often get to spend time with each other so wanted some time just to ourselves, we wanted to share this amazing relationship with all of our fans when were ready but unfortunately that opportunity was taken from us. We hope you can understand: you all are very important to the both of us and we truly did want to share this with you, but both got a bit too caught up with having each other to ourselves. These photos were taken by one of our mutual friends whilst we were on holiday and were leaked from our phones. I am so shocked that they even managed to do this but I will not let them get anymore attention than that.

so upbeat i love it instrumentals alreadt nice, such good lyrics to sing learn and sing to.

the very first lines are already iconic and i love to shout tjem. the staccato type best for the lyrics really adds to the song and make it so fun to just sing them

the chorus is so cheeky and i love the adlibs between lines (the little woos and yeah yeahs add to it) - the lyrics are also so memorable (now now you need to calm down etc etc)

now now you need to calm down what goods this energy, when you devote her to me why not be a little more friendly. now now you need to calm down does she still think of me? say my name in her sleep? i thought you knew her better than me

the final chorus is so fun and the repeat elevates it

also the ending chords are funky i like it

- the beginning instrumentals are so cool

i lost the passion that comes with leaving since i started university <- banger

the lead up to the chorus builds so well such a good vibe

i wish i could mash my favourite parts of the song and condense them into one second of pure serotonin

i can imagine signing the last chorus late at night in the dark with friends at the top of our lungs

- such good vibes from the beginning (the bass? i think? adds an subtle ominous vibe from the beningning which suits the theme)

The little "fxmimg scared fucking scared" is very fun to sing along to

as the tempo picks up so is the tension and it's so good

- the intro is very fun to air guitar too (+ the drum best is very cool)

the drums throughout this are very nice to listen to, i always pick them out
