When the power goes out so you use candles and the light from your laptop until your dad wakes up and then you get one of his headlamps as a nightlight bc you may be 17 years old but being in the complete dark is overwhelming and you can’t sleep or sit like that even if you wanted to without crying and the power is expected to be out for 4hrs so you use your data to download the dirt so you have some sense of comfort until your tired enough to sleep. There is a fine line between sus and normal stuff- it ain’t hard to be able to make conventionally attractive characters and not make them do anything spicy or even allude to it. There is like this weird expectation that if a character is very attractive, they must be a complete sus magnet LMAO

the fact that sokka attempts to play therapist for aang at one point is so funny to me because i cannot think of any character who would be more anti the institution of psychiatry and its methods. not even for any ethically-motivated reasons, he would just think that it’s anti-scientific bullshit. but he also doesn’t know how to help aang aside from giving him the space to (ideally) logically reason through his issues, and more importantly, he’s obsessed with whipping out that beard.
