NPMD Tarot - The Star
Others from the series: The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Devil, Strength
A bit of symbolism under the cut, but I'm curious of other interpretations 👀✨
I matched The Star with Ruth based mostly on visuals and the reverse meaning (which among other things mentions feeling like everything is against you, which I thought fit her well).
Elements that represent hope, opportunities and shining bright from the original card are turned into foreshadowing of her death here.
Light - Her Moment, chance, ambitions and wants. The second she enters it, she's dead.
Background - theater seats, empty.

Good news! I got approved for the apartment I want to move into. They wanted a cosigner because the very confusing paystub I provided as proof of employment led them to believe I was making about $1k a month. And then applying for an $800 a month apartment. But anyhow, that got all cleared up and I was approved with no cosigner required. I'm very excited because it's quite a nice apartment and pretty close to where I work.

Was just having a conversation with my friends the other day about how difficult it is to be a fan of things nowadays and actually avoid spoilers and so in preparation I blocked/muted literally every jjk tag I could think of across sites and somehow I still immediately open tiktok to spoilers (which is not too surprising as tiktok has literally the WORST filtering system I've seen, like even tumblr has their shit together better than that). But anyway it just kinda makes me sad that it's almost impossible to be online now and actually enjoy things at your own pace? It makes me think of when Netflix drops whole seasons and suddenly it's a race to binge everything so you don't get spoiled and I do think it's actively killing our enjoyment of things. Obviously this case is a lil different, the leaks still come out on a weekly basis but I think there's really something to be said about reading a finished product rather than seeing 25 blurry images of the same panel with iffy translations

Thinking about the last roommate I had and how I wasn't allowed to use any sort of cleaning chemical in our dorm because she had some fuckass pet bird that if it inhaled a micron of Human Created Product it would fucking die
And evidently our counters were always dirty (and/or she was a fucking slob, cause her fat ass was) because a few times after I'd put ice in my tumbler for the day. The water would start to fucking taste like onions?? And I thought I was tripping for the first few days
Until I saw her nasty ass cutting up scallions, leaving them on the counter, and realizing one must've gotten stuck to the bottom of my fucking ice tray that I then stacked on top of another ice tray to save space in the freezer for her. 💀
I fished a scallion chunk out of my water tumbler that day. She thought it was hilarious and lost it and I also kind of laughed just so it wouldn't drive me insane, but hindsight? I should have just killed her to avoid literally everything (instigated by her) that precipitated the onion water incident.

hm yes i love talking cq being a tricky little guy whos maybe just a little too enthusiastic about grabbing the presidency and taking down everyone in power over him during the election arc about but why do literally like a good 2/3s of the takes i see talking about it discuss how what happened in manburg made him go from a Bad character to a Good character once he saw that schlatt was Bad bc he did Bad things to lmanburg, which allowed him to have an Epiphany and become a good character (joining cwilburs side) after seeing this

The more I look back in the past, the more I sound like a grandma ngl. Cuz yeah sure nowadays there are more advanced stuff, but times back then were a lil simpler.
Like, a certain magical moment of my childhood is coming out of school, seeing the many shops right outside that can get crowded during the afternoon. Each shop sells toys, candy, trinkets, and whatever thing a kid might like for something cheap that anyone can buy. It's like magical in a way cuz after such a stressful day at school, I get to pass by the shops, look at the stuff they're selling, and actually get to buy a thing or two without worrying about the price.
