guys i think i might possibly just a little bit like submas

October says "various aus (zoroark au mainly, but also loi, a81, and fr au)". In this drawing, Ingo is a zoroark who's just been caught by Elesa. She shouts loudly and points accusingly at him, holding up a pokeball as if to launch an attack on him. November's is "flight rising au and the Jubilife piano au!!" Ingo and Emmet are depicted as tundra dragons from flight rising, fluffy dragons with thick neck fur and large tusks. They still have their hats. December's is "ghost!Emmet au!!" Ingo and Emmet stand together in the icelands. It is snowing heavily. Ingo is hunched over and struggling, coat wet and weighed down by snow. Emmet stands near him, visibly concerned as he looks behind them, reaching out partially towards Ingo. Only Ingo leaves a set of footprints in the snow. The Sung Jinwoo x Kat Kardashian saga continues

we are back! WITH THE BEST SOLO LEVELING AU IN EXISTENCE in my humble opinion

something that @rarepears already mentioned, but jinwoo is now part of the yearly christmas card. he just forgot to mention it at home, which is why jinah is getting revenge with baby/children photos of jinwoo- again. jinwoo just became another meme, again. and he doesn’t know it 😔

the moment jinwoo’s mother finds out jinwoo has a girlfriend and it’s not a korean one… listen, she loves jinwoo with all her heart and he’s her first born and everything, but she really wanted a dutiful korean girl for her son. kat doesn’t even know how to cook! the scandal! but then she gets to know her better and she’s just happy that her son found someone he loves.

now is just the problem with kat’s family. she’s pretty sure that jinwoo will marry his girlfriend one day, (he’s very smitten and she knows her son too well) and she doesn’t have any problems with kat joining the family (she can still teach her how to cook) but the in laws… yeah, she has some problems with them. not that she’ll ever voice her complaints, she’ll just smile and say she’s happy for her son, as every mother would :)

the KHA somehow finds out that jinwoo’s mom doesn’t really like the kardashians (they just guessed and they were lucky they were right) and try to pair up with her to split them. now they not only have to fight off the die-hard fans and the american hunter association, but also jinwoo’s own mom. plan c? that was plan c and they’re slowly running out of options.

the moment the whole sung familt is introduced officially to 'keeping up with the kardashians', society went wild. sung jinwoo is a highschool drop out??? THE SCANDAL- oh, he did it so he could support his sister, how sweet of him! all the sung family secrets get dropped in the first three episodes because jinwoo is just obvious and tells the whole world every thing (it’s kinda sad… but now the 'normal' people, as in the ordinary people who never went to any hollywood event, think that jinwoo is wholesome and best man for kat)

kris is very happy that her youngest daughter caught this bug fish (also known as sung jinwoo) but would’ve liked it if she didn’t drag the whole sung family with her. kris doesn’t like the sister nor the mother. peridot. because she knows both will destroy her if she ruins jinwoo’s reputation/hurts his feelings if she does anything (she already had plans to make the relationship more scandalous but… yeah)

THE FATHER!! is actually alive and well, because jinwoo is now a western celebrity too. since the american’s will do anything and everything to get jinwoo to leave korea, they notify him immediately when his father turns up (and they don’t call him suspect s, because… that would probably make jinwoo angry and they really don’t want to make him angry) which means, jinwoo has a father again 👍🏻 good for him, bad for kris because now she has to deal with another hunter in her family

kat will and can marry jinwoo, it’s her new life goal now. she will spoil the shit out of him but notices pretty quick that he’s rather uncomfortable with that so she starts spoiling his family. it makes them happy and him happy, because his family is happy. win-win. (she kinda buys his love but it’s not like she knows it different. but with jinwoo, she truly learns what love is <3)

now that kat has stepped forward and is no longer just the youngest kardashian of the kardashian sisters, she starts her own business too. she doesn’t even go for make-up, but immediately dabbles with the hunter society. she 'creates' her own auctioning house, with jinwoo being her supplier. kris calls her crazy but then she makes more money than her other sisters with her brands in her first month and suddenly she’s the favorite daughter.

kat and jinah are now besties. and it’s not awkward because kat swore to god that she will marry jinwoo. and if he’s not going to ask her in the next two years, she’s going to ask him himself. jinah approves 👍🏻

okay, that’s it, 10 random thoughts i had for my new favorite rare pair. kinda wish both of them were real so i could watch all the unnecessary drama 👀

Thinking more about my developing ideas for a Kesselian variant of the Tatooine slave culture of popular fanon, and how I hope to use it in the AU where Kyp gets off Kessel early (although he's a bit older) and ends up as a Rogue Squadron pilot.

Fair warning: This probably will make no sense at all without at least a casual understanding of the stuff that's already out there about that fanon.

I'm thinking that in this AU, Kyp's four years older, so he's Gavin's age. The reason he ended up in the mines was that his parents were protesting the destruction of Alderaan, so I could similarly move his ending up there to pretty soon after that, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't break anything important (Whereas in JAT he's been there eight years by the time Han and Chewie find him in 11 ABY.)

Because my hope is for this to be mainly spun off from X-Wing, there's a payoff I can find in drawing connections between Kyp and other characters who were on Kessel at the same time. Primarily, Lujayne and Inyri Forge.

The idea is that the Forges are acting in the same kind of role as the wise woman who reminds Anakin of his true heritage in the first Double Agent Vader story. They're charged with knowing the stories of the Amavikka, and passing those stories along. In canon, Lujayne mentions having multiple sisters and brothers in her spiel to Corran where she accuses him of thinking less of her because of where she's from and stuff.

I think when Kyp shows up, Lujayne offers the mythical origin story of the Maw, and he hears it. Kyp's ten at this point, so it's not the same as if he was born into it (as Lujayne was), but in a lot of respects one could say he was raised as Amavikka.

The reason why the Maw's origin story is always the first one people hear when they arrive on Kessel is because the Maw is a complete mystery even to people who were brought up with high technology, maybe especially to them. This is an Imperial prison colony, so there would be a lot of people with that kind of upbringing. And those people, who otherwise might dismiss the stories told by the slaves as the pathetic imaginings of poorly educated minds or something like that, are inclined to give them more credit because it's not like they understand this cosmic anomaly any better.

Whether or not Kyp believes the stories - and I think he does, soon enough - he definitely takes heart in one of the most important points of the whole thing:

You own yourself.

Kessel isn't a planet like Tatooine that's been revisited far too often in official Star Wars stories, so there's not an abundance of native/introduced animals that I can use in the myths, nor would there likely be. In FotJ they do talk about some vanishing avian species around the tombs.

Of course, this is related to the version found on Tatooine, so a lot of that would probably cross over.

The fact that they do all their work in total darkness invites so many opportunities for various symbolism. I have yet to have any very distinct ideas for what the stories are.

Anyway, some of the background for this verse is that when they were both on Kessel, Lujayne took a liking to Kyp in particular, and kind of took him under her wing. When she manages to get out, she can't take him as well, so she and Inyri (another relationship I need to flesh out more) do the counterpart to that oath where you mix your own blood with water and sand (does that have a name?) to promise that if Inyri's ever able to escape, she'll get him out with her. This is the context in which Kyp gets out and meets the Rogues.

The local Kessel counterparts to some of the Tatooinian symbolism pose some deep questions. I'm currently thinking that the belief on Kessel is that light is sacred in the perpetual darkness of the mines. Obviously, it's not quite as important as water is in the deserts of Tatooine, but the constant darkness has a huge impact on how they need to develop their senses and stuff. This also means I can make the bogeys have all kinds of meaning.

I don't buy that nobody knew of the energy spiders until JAT.

Most or all of the plot of Wedge's Gamble is probably getting rewritten here anyway. He's not going to join the Rogues until probably towards the end of Krytos Trap, but it is pretty important that he spend a lot of time around some of them before then.

Particularly, I want him and Corran to actually be friends. I don't think that's too hard to believe in this context.

Kyp, at some point: I don't trust Erisi.

Corran: Why not?

Kyp: I don't know. It's just a feeling.

Corran: My father always told me to trust those feelings.

After Corran escapes the Lusankya, Kyp can now share his culture and stuff with him because now Corran's been enslaved.

I have much more to say about this, but I'm sleep-deprived and this is probably going to start being really stupid if I keep going.

Oooo the Underground AU sounds so interesting tell us more (if you want ^^)

Yes yes yes yes!!

So the basis if the au is that the humans lost the Serpentine war. And they are all exiled underground as the Serpentine go to live on the surface.

There are three major cities underground. The smallest is the one closest to the surface, the biggest city is beneath that. And there's one more city as deep as they can be. Where there is little to no light besides a few crevices in the ceiling that sunlight peaks through.

In the deepest city is where the children of the elemental masters live. None of them have powers and they are all kept in the deepest city as far away as possible fr9m the surface. Everyone assumes that the elemental master are dead and there is resentment towards these children, they're the scape goats of the city.

Cole was born a few months before the exile and never knew his mom as he was raised by his dad. Zane in a similar boat. He was the adopted son of the ice master but for only a few years before the exile. He's the oldest.

Now Ray, Maya, and Libber were able to slip away with the other people during the exile and stay in hiding for a few years. Jat was born about 5 years after the exile the same with Nya. And Kai was born about a year after ward.

But the Serpentine found Libber a few years after she had Jay and unfortunately he was orphaned (ed and edna step in though to raise him)

And Myaa and Ray where found out a few years later. Now when Libber was found she didn't go away quietly, making a big ruckus and identifying her to who she was. But Ray and Maya went peacefully, knowing they wouldn't win. They hid their powers in a pair of amulets to keep their powers away from the Serpentine and then when the gaurds came for them they went with them, leaving Kai and Nya with trusted friends to raise them. Kai was about 7 and Nya 3.

Kai knows about the powers but Nya does not and he never tells her. Kai grows up and runs a small bakery, cole works in the farms, Jay and Zane gather glow worms and special herbs and plants, and Nya helps with making tools and invents machines to help make life easier for the people.

Ok so everything is not set in stone. I want Nya to not know about powers but idk if the explanation I have is the best. But I want her to find the amulets and then she can try to convince the others to try and fight back.

Also some Serpentines have been able to harness elemental powers form the master such as constricti generals harnessing earth powers, and hypnobri channeling ice, and stuff like that.

In my eternal Legends fangirl mode I have latched onto the much malinged Courtship of Princess Leia and utterly failed at letting it go.

That means I have written pages and pages on both Dathomir and Hapes. Once upon a time I wrote a bunch on Luke and Mara going to have a baby moon on Dathomir and going through an esoteric ritual to come to terms with impending parenthood (this fic is called Thresholds). Part of that fic involved their encounter with a witch and her two mates where one was distinctly unhappy. Eventually with Luke and Mara's intervention, this dude goes off to the Jedi academy at Singing Mountain.

I kind of became invested in this trio and immediately dove into following his story -- one apart from him simply becoming a Jedi, I feel like those are the central stories in canon. I'm more interested in marginalia, smaller stories of self actualization/transformation. Anyway I finished it and will be dropping it bit by bit on my ao3 as A Hearth of Three.

For anyone else interested in Courtship's world I have two more:

Velvet Gloves - set in the Hapan court, in an AU where Luke and Mara get together post JAT, both are invited to investigate the murder of Kirana Ti, former bodyguard of Teneniel Djo new Queen Mother of Hapes. It is narrated by a court insider who has a lot of shade to throw over Teneniel being a Force witch. Kind of a novella of manners.

Stories We Tell - a one shot focusing on a band of free men who run into Luke after he saves them from a Nightsister attack. Narrated by one of the dudes.

It's not that Courtship is ~good, but its exploration of not one but TWO matriarchal societies in the Expanded Universe is pretty unique and fascinating.

I’ve been thinking about my au a lot lately with stranger!Jon where he’s also sometimes a cat (a Jat, if you will).  He carries around a taxidermied cat (which was him due to leitner reasons but it’s okay bc he got skinned <3) and can turn into it via Stranger nonsense.  He becomes a Stranger avatar instead of an Eye avatar after the Unknowing because of this :)!

Below him is written “get this man a nap”.  To the side of this is an unobstructed drawing of the cat to show all of its patterns.  At the top, Nikola, Michael and Jon are all playing uno, sitting criss cross applesauce on the floor. Michael is placing a card down on the pile, grinning widely.  In Jon’s lap is the taxidermied cat.  To the side of this is a bigger drawing of Michael, grinning and waving at the viewer.   Written off to the side of him is “FREAK” with an arrow pointing to Michael.  Finally is a drawing of Leo, gesturing wildly at a red string and cork board.  End id]

PEKANBARU – Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kota Pekanbaru, Riau mengajak masyarakat untuk menyaksikan langsung pertunjukan atraksi dari Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) TNI Angkatan Udara (AU), Minggu, 28 Mei 2023. Sit down, grab a snack and grab your kitties because I got another (terrible) Jat story time. And just so that you don’t get a bunch of asks about who the fuck Jane and Nat are again 🥲 I’ll preface this by saying; Nat and Jane are og characters from Hailey’s sick au. I just hc them as future lovers and like to write little annoying stories for them:

While Nat is at Columbia, not only do they call like everyday, her and Jane try to see each other as much as possible. Whether Nat’s coming home to Vancouver or showing Jane New York, every time they see each other it’s always so fun and amazing. It’s like they never spent a single day apart. But something shocks the hell out of Nat during one of these NY visits.

Jane is playing hooky from her college classes and lied about “family issues” to get out work just so she can go see Natalie for a few days. Nat is no longer a freshman so she has a on-campus apartment. Now, we know that Natalie is not our cooking mama (I fucking love that game), she can basically only do the simplest of american breakfast foods. But she’s at her apartment with her best friend and for once all her roommates are gone, so she wants to make Jane’s favorite food (Nat’s making their favorite homemade dinner, like a Sunday dinner type meal. Had to say that because I fully believe that Jane’s favorite food would be like ramen noodles or some shit 😭). Nat’s, surprisingly, doing really well, until she goes to flip the chicken... And accidentally touches the side of her hand to the pan. As our resident crybaby she is ofc bursts into tears and Jane rushes to take care of her. They’re both at the sink and Jane, standing slightly behind her, is holding Nat’s hand to the cool running water. One hand is holding Nat’s and the other is touching the counter by her hip, effectively caging her in. Impulsively, Nat lies when Jane asks if her hand feels better just so that their body stays tightly pressed to her back. Eventually they move to the couch, where Jane insists on wrapping her hand, even though Nat’s in medical school and can do this on her own, and they end up wrapping that shit so wrong 😭 but Nat is just looking at how focused they are. Their eyebrows are furrowed and they’re slightly pursing her lips. Her eyes are just roaming their face and wondering when their eyelashes got so long and pretty. When Jane looks up, Nat’s just staring at her with big doe eyes leading them to jokingly ask if she’s waiting for them to kiss her boo-boo. Nat’s breath catches at Janey’s cocky smile. They don’t even notice Nat’s silence and leans in to gently kiss her bandages hand. By the time she snaps back into a reality that isn’t just every detail of Jane’s face, Natalie can hear them banging around in the kitchen, loudly teasing her for her ineptitude in the kitchen. Nat sits there for a few seconds, blinking hard, and makes the conscious decision to never tell anyone about up that one-sided moment (and she didn’t. At least not until their engagement. If you remember she goes to the beach with her new fiancé and parents. While they’re all sitting on the shore talking, she finally tells them about that moment, a moment that Jane honestly doesn’t even remember since Natalie burns herself every time she cooks lmfao after she finishes her little story, her parents are just awing at how in love these two are, Jane leans towards her and calls her a loser for keeping that in for so long 🥰)

Stop that’s so sweet 😭😭I love them falling in love and both of them just having these little moments that felt so one sided in the moment but later on they both realize they felt the same about them 💗
