lesbyler is fun for fanart, but then i started wondering about how to write it, and i realized how hard it would be as a canon compliant story. because you’d pretty much have to wipe away the fabric of who Will and Mike are as characters, and essentially reverse/flip the script?
Like if you didn’t, what would we get... Will being clocked as a lesbian by her town because she’s such a sweet sensitive shy girl? LMAOO. And Mike as a straight passing girl because she’s outwardly more masc? LOL
Will’s ‘feminine’ traits (ie: sensitivity, liking arts over sports, gentleness) is an intrinsic part of him, and you’d have to seriously dull that down or essentially change it altogether to keep intact his canon experiences as a visibly queer kid in hawkins. OR you’d have to make will the completely straight passing lesbian if we were to keep will’s other traits as they were.
btw this is NOT me dunking on lesbian byler! I’m all for people doing what they want and making fun fanon/ooc interpretations of byler- like that’s a huge part of AUs and fandoms in my opinion. i was just thinking about how to write lesbian byler WITHOUT it being ooc and i realized it doesn’t really work haha

I find it sort of painfully beautiful when The Hobbit takes place. It begins in the spring. Everyone and everything is full of life. Full of color. As Bilbo leaves home and we see the start of this adventure, it's nearing autumn. The changing of the seasons. And he's going through a big change as well. The party reaches the mountain by Durin's Day, the end of autumn and start of winter. And then that's when the battle happens. In the winter. When everything is cold. Where everything dies. The leaves have fallen off the trees and everything is left frozen. And as nature dies, so did they. It's awfully symbolic, in a way.

yo i think a lot of people (including me) sometimes forget the Athena is not only the goddess of wisdom, but also crafts. which in turn, means that you don't have to be book smart to be a child of Athena. you/your oc could be 'the art kid' instead of 'the nerd' or 'the smart one'.
i just think its kinda important because the only Athena kid we really get to see in the books is Annabeth. And she's awesome, don't get me wrong, but sometimes we gotta remember that Athena is also the goddess of crafts as well, not just the smarts that Annabeth portrays

Eddie stole.
Not very often, but it would happen quickly. Sometimes even he didn’t notice. It started when he was little. His dad had started him in kindergarten, practicing shoplifting and such.
When he got a little older (around nine when he started learning to hot-wire cars) he would steal bigger things; notebooks from his classmates, confiscated toys for his friends, groceries. Afterwords he would always feel a knot of guilt in his stomach. He would repeat what his dad had always told him in his head as a mantra: “take advantage of the world before it takes advantage of you.”
In the next few years he developed a set of rules for himself: don’t take from someone who needs it, don’t take from individual people, only take things you need. He’d justify taking that candy bar when his stomach hurt from hunger by reasoning it was a large company who wouldn’t miss anything. He only stole to survive.
Then he moved in with Uncle Wayne. They didn’t have a lot, but Eddie wasn’t as hungry as he used to be. Wayne tried to gently guide him through high school, teaching him new values. One time Eddie had stolen a jar of peanut butter for their lunches. Wayne came home and asked where it had come from. Eddie didn’t know what to say, no one had ever asked him where the groceries came from. It had always been strictly don’t ask don’t tell. Eddie had felt so embarrassed and ashamed that he never tried it again. That night Wayne sat him down to tell him that they were fine, they’d always have food on the table and enough for treats every now and again.
Eddie fought hard to break the habit, but he did teach himself not to pick up things, even small objects like pens or coins. It was difficult.
By the time he was redoing senior year Eddie hadn’t stole anything in a long time, didn’t even think to. That is, until he and Steve sat in the camper after stocking up on weapons. Steve had gotten a pack of gum (nervous habit) and popped a piece in his mouth. When Steve looked away, Eddie watched the other man’s jaw work as he chewed and gum and reached over subtly to take a piece from the package, wanting to know what Harrington’s mouth tasted like right then.

Good Omens Season 3 Theory Time:
Other people have noticed how crowded Hell is compared to Heaven. I’ve never seen anyone else in heaven besides the angels. What if there’s a Good Place situation happening where no human has been sent to heaven in years bc of some bureaucratic bs? And this is the straw that breaks Azriaphales back regarding his loyalty to the system of heaven?

I feel like Nami and Usopp would work together as little match makers
Simply because they are the ones who probably notice when two people like each other and are just like: "Okay, let's get them together," or the opposite if they think the two would be bad together/toxic
Idk I just think them working together like this is wholesome and shows how good of friends they are

i haven’t seen anyone talk about that yet but i can’t be the only one that noticed the changes in the way vegas is dressed throughout episode 11: in the beginning he wears his definitely too expensive shirts that he’s been wearing the entire series so far. but then when he reads his book and the whole scene with his dad happens, he wears simple blue jeans and a white shirt which he also wears after taking care of pete and their trauma bonding experience. fine, perhaps he was just in a mood and didn’t have time to get changed. but then later on, during the ramen scene i believe it was, he came to pete wearing a simple pyjama. and since nothing in this show is a coincidence i believe the way vegas dresses is a direct visualization of the comfort he feels around pete. or rather how much he has to uphold his armor. in the beginning pete is just any other person although fun to torture but not special beyond that. then, for some reason he wants pete to see his hurt side after being humiliated, without the armor of pretty clothing. then he just doesn’t care anymore, pete has changed his entire worldview in a two minutes therapy session. he doesn’t feel the need to hide himself that much anymore, thus the super informal clothing.

I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve had so far in my adult life, is that being alone isn’t always a bad thing. Doing things alone is good, no one is thinking you’re weird for going to a restaurant on your own, sitting on your own, walking around a park alone.
Once I got out of that mindset that I need to do ‘social things’ with friends or family, life became a lot better. Now if I want to do something, I just do it! Being able to enjoy doing things with just yourself, and in a way being your own friend, life feels a lot easier.

God cares for everyone, even the unborn.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
That to me indicates that abortion is against God's laws - if he wants the unborn not to survive, then they will not. Otherwise, it feels like human beings are playing God - you know what I mean?
