beach day episode mekakushi dan. which ones dont know how to swim??? (obligatory seto and momo joke) AND/OR who is afraid of the water?

HMMMM well of course seto and momo are afraid of it. i think they try to shrug it off and do a lot of Sand Activities ignoring that they're afraid. momo takes a bazillion selfies at the shore and screams when she gets splashed. i think guys like takane and kano would be a threat to them bc they have the Water Guns and now The Water Is On Ground and it freaks them out❤️

i think hibiya&hiyori are great swimmers idk why. i think theyre the kinda kids to spend every single summer at the beach, so they give WATER DOMINATING lessons to seto and momo, to get over their fear and also teach them to swim.

ayano kido and kano are fine in the water i think the tateyamas for sure had summer vacations at the beach ❤️ its not seto's first time in the beach, he probably used to stay on ground back then too.

oh u asked who would be afraid. ERMMM other than seto and momo i dont think anyone's scared. as for who doesn't know how to swim, mary. mary definitely never went to the beach or even a pool like Man i get so emotional with mary bc she never ever went anywhere in her life, and then when she moved in with the mekatrio she is also described as a shut in. but despite that she isn't unwilling to go out and was super excited about the amusement park, and there she was SUPER serious about visiting every single attraction... so personally i think that despite she's described as a shut in (kido and kano probably didnt go out a whole bunch either) i like to think the 4 of them went places together. not like the beach or even a restaurant but they probably have gone to a park and stuff idk

anyways that said, mary is suddenly seeing in real life things she's only seen in pictures/tv and read of!!! imagine her first time seeing the OCEAN!!!! thats gotta be so exciting!!! considering her attitude she'd be totally over the moon and would wanna learn how to swim IMMEDIATELY. tbh she'd be clumsy but probably has a pool float yknow the ones that are like a donut and ur inside chilling and playing from there. i think thats what she'd do!!! shes disappointed seto can't join in and that rly motivates him to try to get in the water. if he doesn't manage she definitely comes out the water to build sand castles with him and take a walk to pick up seashells :3

others who can't swim are a classic. shintaro and haruka. I'd also say takane but while i do think she was mostly kept away from sports and stuff i THINK takane Can swim, i don't think she skipped swimming lessons during elementary/middle school. so she's like. Ok at it. she's also rly excited about water guns and chasing YOU CHASING YOU CHASING YOU CHASING YOU CHASING Y

shintaro on the other hand can't swim, iirc this is canon cuz momo wanted to go on her trip with her dad to learn to swim Super good and then teach shintaro. ofc this didnt happen Lol and we know shintaro is the opposite of a sporty person so yea he also can't swim. in fact i think he just stays off the water and inside the tent with his phone. he hates it here its hot and he has sand in his ass he wants to go home. ayano keeps trying to drag him in the water 💔💔💔 i imagine ayano getting out the water like soaking wet with her hair all sticky and her eyelashes dripping with water like. VERY LITTLE KID ASKING YOU TO PLAY MERMAIDS WITH THEM ENERGY and goes to get shintaro and he's like AUGGHHH AYANO GET OUT YOURE GETTING WATER INSIDE THE TENT and ayano's breathing heavily like COME PLAY

i think shintaro ends up falling on the water on his stomach and face at least once and he's all icky about tasting the salty water. also takane definitely shoots him and he's DEFINITELY wearing a shirt so his shirt gets all soaked and he's so mad about it. on a more wholesome note i think he'd probably start a huge sand castle cuz hes bored and it gets RIDICULOUSLY huge and it looks amazing. people keep gathering to take pics of it. he probably wins some sand castle contest he didn't even know they were holding and makes a bunch of 10 year olds building castles with their dads rly upset

as for haruka. he DEFINITELY never swam😭 but i think haruka is just the kind to dip his feet in the water and sit there like Ah...effervescent..... while wearing a huge fucking hat to protect his paper white skin from the sun. ratio + takane shoots him with water gun + ayano splashes water on him begging him to get in the water. im describing ayano and takane as such menaces to poor haruka and shintaro but i think that's how it'd be. haruka is out of his comfort zone and excited but wants to take it easy, shintaro doesnt wanna be here AT ALL while takane and ayano are like OK WE ARE PLAYING THOUGH :3 SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH

kido can swim but i think they share this sentiment with haruka. they both kinda wanna chill at the shore with their big ass hats is that too much to ask (it is) (everyone attacks them) i think haruka also gets excited abt the water guns eventually. i think he and takane go a little crazy on each other with those. in my vision kano and takane are annoying everyone with the water guns and when kano gets bored and goes do something else haruka takes his place but instead of attacking anyone else he attacks takane. fatal mistake. they both end up like my ayano description from earlier. little kids dripping water after swimming for 2 hours energy. when kido loses their chilling by the shore buddy to takane they probably go see what's up with momo and seto cuz thats their gf and brother they wanna help..

UMMM i kinda talked about everyone even if they could or couldnt swim lol. ayano and kano are left ermmm ayano like i said A fucking menace it is her goal to get everyone in the water at once (except seto and momo cuz she gets it) and she probably wants to do beach volleyball or some shit everyone sucks at later. she's the Game Organizer. probably her idea to go to the beach. and she's playing mermaids with mary so much. SO MUCH

and kano is kinda everywhere i think. he's in the tent bothering shintaro. he's with hibiya and hiyori trying to get momo and seto in the water. he's with takane terrorizing haruka and kido with water guns. he's with mary and ayano playing in the water pretending to be a shark to freak out mary (he cant use deceiving cuz ayano wont let him since anyone else at the beach could get freaked out but he DOES keep going underwater and pinches mary's legs to scare her)

Kagepro characters and who I personally believed they'd main in Genshin, since I've seen a few people sharing their headcanons on this!

Ayano - Kokomi. Definitely admires her as a leader and always makes sure everyone is healed, probably has a crazy insane build that Shintaro helped her with.

Kido - Beidou. She wants to be strong just like her, tells everyone else it's just because "claymores are cool". She also really likes Shinobu for their obvious similarities and the fact she's a healer.

Seto - Razor. One of those super loyal Razor mains from day one, ignores the meta for any cute dog characters.

Kano - Furina. Kano canonically plays females in video games, and he'd definitely be a Furina enjoyer especially after the archon quest.

Marry - Diona ("She's a cute cat and I can heal my friends!")

Momo - Nilou. Momo doesn't give two craps about meta, plays her in whatever team and has fun with it. Shintaro tried to explain artifacts to her but she didn't understand. It's okay though because she's living her best life with her favourite dancer!

Takane - Raiden. The opposite to momo - major meta player and archon collector, all triple crowned. Slays the abyss every time.

Shintaro - Al Haitham. He's pretty powerful in the meta I think Shintaro would make really intricate builds (he also has a few waifus he's whaled for but who can blame him)

Hibiya - Aether. Well - on his profile, at least. But he actually has more waifus than Shintaro, it's just that none of them are displayed.

Haruka - Albedo. He's an artist like him and his reclusive nature probably reminds him of Shintaro, and Haruka loves anyone that reminds him of his friends!

Hiyori - Kirara (she thinks she's cool and loves climbing with her, that's it ajcjs)

While some of these match with personality, these aren't assignments based on kintypes/characters I think they would *be*, just who I think they would play as. I could make a separate list for kins lol

Green is for it applies (in my opinion), yellow is for kind of/maybe, blue is for it’s complicated. Disclaimer that no I’m not a medical professional nor do you have to agree with me this is just my personal headcannon yada yada

-I’d say his friendship situation is complicated, but he’s basically never initiated a friendship, had no friends before highschool (except Momo), and only made new ones because of the extenuating circumstances of time travel, terrorist attacks and magic snakes

-Section on sexual interest left blank since at least from my memory there’s not enough information there. The Folder is mentioned but I think that’s more of a teenager with hormones thing

-I don’t think I have to elaborate on most of this like c’mon look at him

-Once again, friendship is complicated there’s A Lot going on there

-The specific mention of interest in things like computers!

-Shintaro is notorious for his very awkward attempts at smiling (me too buddy)

-Depression is a common headcanon for probably obvious reasons but not canonically diagnosed so it’s yellow here

-Autism is another one of headcanon but not canon

-I’d say his Everything is pretty maladaptive, functionally impairing and distressing

i think out of the tateyama siblings seto & ayano are the most physically affectionate with each other... ayano generally i think has always smothered him with hugs and kisses when he was little cuz he was just so sweet and then str when he's huge shes like omg bear hug NOW‼️‼️‼️ but now seto isnt super flustered or anything and is used to carrying/hugging cuz of mary so theyre a perfect match....

ayano always comes hug seto and rests her head on his shoulder :3 also jumps on him and is like "if i run and jump at seto he will most definitely catch me in his arms" cuz he will. but she also holds him like he's still smaller than her.. seto can approach her and ayano will open her arms and he just crouches to let her hold him... sniff sniff... thats her baby brother..

kano&kido have always been jealous ayano is so affectionate with seto and its not cuz he's her favorite or anything. as kids they just always leaned more towards acting annoyed at being hugged rather than shy like seto did. especially since ayano was like AUUUGGG MWAH MWAH MWAH *HUGS YOU AND SHAKES YOU SHAKES HOU SHAKES YOU* like she's A LOT shes got a lot of love to give. like an aunt who loves to pinch cheeks. so much cuteness aggression for her siblings. but kano and kido were always like HISSS so ayano always gravitated to seto for it.

and it's been that way for so long it's so embarrassing to change it up now. they wanna be physically affectionate with ayano too but also even seto AND even each other but they're like 😐im taking this feeling to the grave. but silently thank when ayano pulls them in for a group hug. they pretend to be annoyed but love it so much when they get to group hug.. Remember Gem's beehive origin? It wasn't a bee origin, i think the text said it was a lot of bees holding together a form. But my headcanon, which i would've explored more if not for insectophobia, is that she's literally.. a hive. Like, the bees straight up makes home inside of her. That gave me an idea for an urban fantasy new life au, and the irony is that i literally wanted to do the same thing with origins smp, but i accidentally recreated kagepro and i was never the same person again. Either way, didn't go past the ideas stage on both things. I literally want an urban fantasy au so bad but kagepro is literally my only inspo for that 🤷‍♂️ so there's that

If KagePro Characters were in KHR...

Marry is definitely a Sky. Her love for and her attachment to her friends is well reciprocated. They died protecting her, like how Elements would for their Sky. And while she didn't exactly die for them, she did turn back time for them. Considering how Combining Eyes attracts the other snakes back to her, it fits the bill for Sky Attraction (canon, fanon, schmanon). "Combining" is also mentioned as an ability of Sky Flame's Harmony attribute. As for her bloodline ability to petrify... well, just go search "petrify" on the KHR wiki.

Kano is a Mist primary, with a Storm secondary. He's almost always putting up a front, hiding his true self behind illusions. He's extremely proficient at pretending to be someone else, to the point where he can even trick himself into thinking he's actually the person he's pretending to be. Physical pain is the only thing that can ground him and dispel his illusions. But what's even worse, is that it's all because he wants to protect them and their happiness so much he hardly ever thinks of his own happiness anymore. Deceiving is an aspect of the Mist. He also has a habit of traumatizing Shintarou by pretending to be Ayano, one of his most traumatic disguises, so...

Momo is a Lightning. She wished for attention, yes, but she also worked for it. If there's anything Momo really wants, it's to be acknowledged by everyone fair and square. She's very eccentric, and her actions are often driven by her whims. And while she does get sad and depressed sometimes, she never stays that way, always looking at the bright side.

Ene is a Cloud and a Mist. Her "territory" would probably be games. Explains so much why she got annoyed when Shintarou beats her at her own game without even trying, but used the bet to her advantage. She's very proud of her gaming skills, and doesn't like it when people don't take her challenges seriously. That's Cloud behavior right there. Also, Haruka appreciated her love for games, that's why she let him into her heart. And her wish, if you remember, is "to be free of human needs". As for the Mist part of her, well, she never got tired of finding new ways to mess with her "Master," did she? (She still finds ways, and Shintarou suffers for it.)

Kido is a Mist. She doesn't deceive so much as she conceals. Where Kano shows something else, Kido is all "nothing to see here" with her power. Still, she tricks the senses of others. And she's also a good leader, coming up with creative ways to support themselves. She never does the work all by herself, though. By hook or by crook, she gets Kano and Seto to help out.

Seto is a well-balanced Rain and Sun. Contradiction, sure, but his personality is very "sunny" and "rainy". He's very active, probably the most expressively happy person in the series besides Ene, who's more playful, and Kano, who fakes it 'til he makes it. He's also the most loyal person there is! Even after seeing bits of the past loops from Marry's mind, he still held out his hand for her.

Shintarou is a Rain primary, with a very minor Sun secondary. He's laid-back most of the time, especially before Ayano died. He's mentally active, understanding more than he lets on thanks to his ability. He'd be a Lightning if he had more ambition. After Ayano died, and after Takane and Haruka went missing, he became very depressed. My headcanon, though, is that the loops where Shintarou gets suicidal isn't many because the Retaining Eyes gives him enough deja vu to think "I couldn't stop it this time again" instead of asking the repetitive "Why?"

Hibiya is a Lightning. He keeps chasing after Hiyori's approval. He's persistent, and never gives up. Seeing Hiyori's interest in Konoha only fans the flames of his determination. He's very blunt, too. And in Kagerou Days, he does everything he can to save Hiyori. Also, Hibiya never thought of sacrificing himself for Hiyori's survival, and that's why he's not a Storm..

Konoha is a Cloud and Rain. His "territory" is his friends. Other than that, he doesn't wish for much else. He's laid-back and passive but also very watchful. He's like a baby, though, so he hasn't matured that much compared to the rest of the Dan.

Haruka is a Lightning and Sun. He's very active, mentally and physically (as much as he can be, anyways). His mind is always filled with things he wants to do. He's the one who drags Takane along to make his wishlist come true. His will is strong enough that even though his new body rejected his spirit, his snake still carried out his wish, though that might also be attributed to the snakes' wish-granting nature

Ayano is both Storm and Sky, in equal amounts. She's very warm and accepting towards her new family. She made them feel wanted and loved. Ayaka may have given Kano, Kido and Seto a house, but Ayano was the one to make it a home. She loved her family to the point of sacrificing herself to the Daze just to stop Saeru's plan from coming to fruition.

If Ayano's Flames combined, it would probably be called the Sunset Flames, a Flame born of passion. It'd counter the Night Flame and soothe the Wrath Flame. "Like the Sunset, it's a flame that burns beautifully, even beyond death. It's a Flame that will never die, even when the body dies, as long as the wielder's resolve burns ever true." (Poetic, innit? Har har. New lore from a ramble.)

Hiyori is a Sun. She's active and stubborn, and she knows what she wants. She's also very intense, as shown in her relationship with Hibiya.

Saeru is Mist and Cloud. His "territory" is his existence. He doesn't tolerate any threats toward his existence, but he plays the long game in eliminating them. He's indignant when Azami "forgot" him, as in, she forgot the wish that "birthed" him. The long game was using her descendant to make a new medusa and then breaking them to the point of returning everything to the beginning. Trapping Azami in the Daze was so she couldn't interfere. He's very creative when he makes the Dan suffer.

I can totally see a crossover-slash-fusion story blooming from the idea of this! So many compatible elements!

Yeah my idea is that it takes place roughly a year after Servamp canon and 2/3 years after Kagerou Project. The dan move to Tokyo because most of them were going to college there, cue Seto and Marry getting a job at the flower shop.

Anyway if I do write it, it'll be a bit more comedy/slice of life, one idea is that one day while at work Seto's powers activate and his eyes turn red, cue Lilac assuming he's another subclass who just uses illusion to hide his red eyes.

(also I have a headcanon that since Lilac doesn't seem to have a weapon his subclass power is similar to Kidos eye power)

Considering Strike Tanaka wrote for the Kagepro fan anthologies I'm surprised there aren't more people in both fandoms,, It also makes total sense for both stories to take place in the same universe considering the Servamp world has all kinds of mythical creatures including gorgons, so Azami could exist.
