What are you thoughts on Fan Projects? I have been seeing some around YouTube, Twitter and Tumblr. So I'm curious on your thoughts.

i absolutely LOVE THEM!! I love seeing them, their characters, their designs, and seeing what else people come up with!

my single request always is that due to how protective i am of Kenopsia and how personal its universe of the Forever Ocean is to me, i would deeply prefer if people would stick to canon logic and stuff (EXCEPT for AUs or like. what-if scenarios, not just direct in-universe fan projects). stuff like following species rules, not using the 40th sembla or giving a Vani multiple sembla, stuff like that. specified AUs are one thing but otherwise, ya

I do not have a good schedule to do a lot atm BUT I will attempt to get at least one half of my plans done. This includes the bracket votes for 36 canonical vani (the living 13 and submerged 17 earth vani, 5 fan chosen, 1 Juno chosen [maybe]) and google forms for the other bits (such as semblas, paradigms, tethers, etc)

Be patient if I don't post results right away. Please 😭

I HAVE WAITED YEARS FOR PEOPLE TO ASK ME ABOUT STARS BELOW /REF

Basically, it’s a Vocaloid Series by JunoSaturna / Monstrosity, and it’s part four of a bigger series called Kenopsia!

I’d explain it myself, but the Trailer for the series provides a better summary of it than I ever could:

The third and fourth paragraphs are more summarizing Stars Below in canon, but in the Mandela Stars Below AU, it’s a tad bit different than this.

The quickest summary of Mandela Stars Below I can give is:

In the middle of nowhere, Wisconsin, a bunch of tethers are born over the span of… a while. Mark Heathcliff, a Christian boy who believes his Vani is God and ends up ||killing himself|| after a bad Vani encounter, but being revived afterwards. Cesar Torres, a kid that suddenly goes missing one day and comes back with half of his body covered in shadow, becoming a Patient 0 of sorts for an epidemic of zombie-like creatures named “Shadows”,. Adam Murray, a Vani obsessed man who goes literally insane and becomes a sadist trying to find out the secrets of these aliens, who ends up going through computer screens with a special suit and killing people, which results in his death and subsequent resurrection. Jonah Marshall, Adam’s best friend who was kidnapped by a Vani after getting into a car crash, being forced to kill people by said Vani in exchange for Dreams (which act as drugs), eventually killing his captor and escaping. And Thatcher Davis, a man hunted by his Vani and forced on the run by it.

There’s also a group of people who formed the “Main Party”, or a collection of people trying to take down the Vani once and for all. Sarah Heathcliff, Marks sister and Adams old coworker, who, after having her arm ripped off by said coworker, decides that her efforts in her society, BVS, weren’t enough, and that she needed to take matters into her own hands. And Evelin Miller, Adams ex, who was asked by Sarah to join her because of her connections to the blond. They later find Thatcher Davis and Jonah Marshall, who both join the group.

Sorry if this isn’t the most coherent summary, I’m. Kinda lazy, to be frank.

A six-armed, strange-faced Wax Vani with a curious papery coat, giving them a piñata-like appearance. They're a bit on the silly side, seeming to be more likely to make fun of situations rather than be serious about them until it's too late.

The team's ultimate himbo. He's the Gravity Vani of the team, and some say his Amplifier is actually... a whole suit-mech! Who knows, though. ...Also, he somehow knows how to fix human cars. He WAS a sort of mechanic, so, perhaps it makes sense...?

Bazzitross

A large, many-limbed and tailed Vani, with a very peculiar face and over a dozen eyes on stalks. Bazzitross is the Silicon Vani of the team, and he uses his powers to mooch off of others' abilities and amplify them for his own benefit. He's what I call a "casual bastard."

No one knows how he lost that sixth arm of his, and he refuses to share. It's not a sensitive subject, really, but he sure likes to play hard to get.

Each and every slit on his face and back house an eyestalk. Guess he doesn't need anyone to watch HIS back; he can do that himself. In fact, HIS back can watch YOU!

The Ink Vani of the Earth team.

...

She is to be avoided at all costs. No information is available about her, save for the fact she is Twisted.

No one knows what Nosva was like before Twisting, and no one seems to want to elaborate on what she even does. They all seem too scared of her, or perhaps, even a bit queasy at the idea.

There is a sense of relief at the fact she is missing in action.

(Version with BG if transparency is an issue. There are no Kraizen vs Vani versions, as she appears the same as both, with a currently hidden Brand.)

Lusafree

Lusafree is the Hex Vani on the Earth mission. She's a person with quite a bit of spunk and cockiness, and always seems to end up in odd situations or unlikely scenarios. "What are the chances," she often asks herself.

Along with another 8 of the Earth Team Vani, she seems to have gone missing in action. However, their signatures don't give off the same status as the Submerged 17. Due to this, these 9 Vani have been called the Clouded Nine, and information about their conditions are inconclusive at best.

However, even amongst THEM, Lusafree seems to be an outlier. She seems to be roaming free, but has yet to contact any of the remaining Vani...

...

........Though, ZAHALKRO thinks she may be attempting to fake being a human. Under the name "Lucy," Lusafree may be wearing a pair of sunglasses, claiming she cannot remove them due to "pinkeye," and buys coffee every day to try and fit in. Due to the wave of lycanthropy occurring everywhere, she simply claims she is one such Were person. Somehow, it's... working?...

Who knows, really. What are the chances she hasn't been found out by now, anyway?

A very prominent fashion designer, back before the Brandshock. She had a hand in the success of many popular idols, too, including some very familiar ones who live to this day.

They can levitate/float through the air, kinda like the Cheshire Cat, and tends to do so lazily and calmly. Says "darling" a lot.

Oxxarett

The Earth team's Force Vani. It has the appearance of being feral and monstrous to us, but in truth, Oxxy is just as civilized and conscious as the other Vani. ...That doesn't stop them from being a bit of a menace sometimes, however.

A curious biological factoid of this Vani is its face. No eyes are socketed within its skull, and instead, a singular eye is on their chest! Where eyes would logically be are six light emitters, which can generate beams of light bright enough to rival some stronger grade flashlights. Anything caught in the beams of light can be easily tossed around telekinetically, as per its Force abilities.
