Israeli Ambassador to UN Rips Elon Musk

Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan condemned Elon Musk's lack of content moderation on his X social media platform during and after the terrorist attack on Israel.

"I can't understand Mr. Musk and why he's still allows Khamenei to hold his Twitter account and continue to radicalize and inspire many more radicals around the world to attack Israel, to attack the democratic world. Why would we allow these savages to use our tools against us, against our values. It is something that is really unthinkable."

The Ambassador has been pleading with Musk for months to do something to prevent Khamenei from using Twitter to go after his own people and others around the world.

Shortly after the terrorist attack began, Musk recommended an openly anti-semitic account to his 159 million followers, where he claimed they could supposedly get accurate information about what was going on. After a firestorm of criticism, he later deleted the tweet, but the damage was done.

Since that time, X has been inundated with fake videos, AI videos, old videos and doctored videos of the conflict to such as extent that it is now difficult to believe any clip posted on the platform. In addition to that, clips with extreme graphic violence are also posted and are not behind any content warning labels.

There does not appear to be any content moderation or suspension of accounts who repeatedly post fakes. Some of the fake videos eventually receive "Community Notes," but are astoundingly still allow to remain up.

With Hamas pledging to film the execution of hostages to post them live on social media, it would seem that Musk's X will continue to be used by Hamas, Iran, and their sympathizers in the US and around the world to advance their agenda.

As the Ambassador said, the tools of democracies are being used to destroy them, with the assistance of the billionaire oligarchs who control them.
