𖤐 . a/n - sorry this is so short, but i also randomly got this idea (instead of working on all the asks i have 🧍🏻 ) (also thank you for all the asks i have <3 ) REPOST BECAUSE EURYDICE DID NOT DESERVE TO FLOP LIKE IT DID

"no, no, no, no, no. hey-hey. you're okay. c'mon you're okay." he stuttered, inevitable tears leaving burning streaks down his face, though he ignored them. "hey, hey. baby you- you're okay. just-" he inhaled shakily, his breath getting caught in his throat. "look at me, baby. just look at me. you're okay."

he was beginning to believe that the repeating chants were more for him rather than you, the rational side of his brain rapidly failing, eyes constantly blurring and glossing over. Minho held your body close in his arms, his left arm gently cradling your head, which was shaking with his own nerves.

"Minho," you whispered out, barely audible with a sickly paleness to your face, small sticky streaks of blood seeping through the corner of your mouth. there were bullets firing, screaming, shouting, bombs going off, flames exploding from every corner, but the booming sound of his own heartbeat in his head overthrew all other noises.

Minho quivered, mouth dry, empty, despite his head running with thoughts moving thousands of miles a second, quickly flooding in one after the other. he allowed his eyes to droop down to your torso, the metallic crimson already engulfing most of your white undershirt, taunting him with its intensity.

it was unfair. your being had plagued his mind, being the only thing that kept him going. you kept him company in his dreams, distracting him from what they really were - nightmares. but nothing could distract him from this one. this very real nightmare. after six long months of torture, nothing had compared to this. finally being able to hold you in his arms again, only for it to be the last time.

from the moment you reunited, the two of you had yet to lose physical contact, swearing you would never let each other go again. that is why the moment Minho felt your hand abruptly pull from his, he knew it was time. he knew it was over. the ghost of your warmth lingered deep in his soul as the coldness drowned yours, your body succumbing to the inevitable darkness the moment the two of you were presented with the brightest of lights.

your path to forever freedom had been carved, ready for you, yet here you were, on an unexpected secret passage suddenly disrupting your long journey, where your story was coming to an end. the yells of anguish and silent sobs from your friends had no place in Minho's crazed mind, being too occupied yet utterly empty, despite everything he longed to say.

you were so close. one step away from the life you were destined to live together. but fate had been decided, your string had already been cut. and now the small threads of your yarn of life pooled on the ground as the blood seeped from your wound, the shattered body of your lover left to wash away the pieces and walk away without you by his side.

If you ask Minho what he thought about her, he would write a love song. He would sing about her golden skin and how it shone like a star under the bright sun, and how her smile resembled a crescent moon. Moonlight: he’d call her that.

He’d hum the tune she’d sing to him at the pond by the deadheads. He’d talk about the nights they’d sit against the tree stumps and look at the idle night sky. When he wanted to spill his heart out and rant, she’d let him. That’s what he loved the most.

The loving look in her eye that held no judgement. The subtle tilt of her head to show she was listening. She always calmed his mind. So, then, in silence or chaos, he’d find her first. He would wait until his hands met hers to relax.

He would tell you how, now, although only left with memories of her, he would smile. He’d tell you how he’d memorised the melody of her laugh; and how he would revise it every night before bed just to relive it again.

To have someone understand your mind is a different kind of intimacy, and it's what he had with her. He had someone who knew his mind—in the dark times of the Maze, he found a light: his home.

Lee Seon-gyun breaks through the crisis head-on → handcuffed himself

Lee Seon-kyun faced another crisis in 'Bob-Jun' and chose to break through head-on.

In the 5th episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Beopjeon', which aired on the 20th, Eun-yong (Lee Seon-gyun) faced another big crisis in the process of confronting Chairman Myung In-joo (Kim Hong-pa).

President Myeong asserted his strength and sarcastically said to Eun-yong that it would not be an easy fight, but Eun-yong said, "The court has issued an arrest warrant. President, please reflect on this a little." left the place

Also on this day, Eun-yong met with Representative Oh (Lee Ki-young), who was on the same line as Chairman Myeong, and suggested, "I will wear a badge for a member of the National Assembly." CEO Oh said, “Politics is impossible without money, but money alone is not enough”, but he fell for Eun-yong’s story and took Eun-yong’s hand.

He wasn't the Chairman Myung who couldn't move his outside work just because he was in prison. Chairman Myung was free for three hours by mobilizing his elaborate plans and his personal connections. And Chairman Myeong sent CEO Oh a picture of his promiscuous private life.

Representative Oh immediately met with Chairman Myeong. Representative Oh was angry and said, "I will take you out without detention when the atmosphere is settled, so be patient." Chairman Myeong acted as if he was obediently following CEO Oh’s words.

Later, Myeong approached CEO Oh, put something in his pocket, and pushed Oh off the roof of the building. CEO Oh is dead. And what he put in Chairman Myung's pocket was a will made up as if he had written it himself.

The media reported that CEO Oh made an extreme choice based on the fabricated will, and the note contained the story that CEO Oh suffered from receiving all sorts of threats from Eun-yong. Eun-yong was wanted all over the country and was even banned from leaving the country.

Eun-yong was also taken aback when he heard this report. Eun-yong said, "The death of CEO Oh is more than you can imagine. There is only one way to deal with the unexpected enemy's river," and went to find Jang Tae-chun (Kang Yoo-seok), his nephew and prosecutor in the criminal division.

Eun-yong told Jang Tae-chun, "If I hide, you will get hurt" and said, "There is only one way. Handcuff me with your hands."

Kung Fu Movies Every Movie Lover Should See At Least Once

Kung fu has become essential to American cinema. Modern action films like The Matrix and Kill Bill rely on many of the same styles and principles of martial arts that many Americans first saw in the films of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.

Though kung fu movies feel so familiar to modern audiences, it wasn’t until the 1970s that kung fu movies really made their way to the United States and Americans fell in love with Chinese martial arts films. But, a deep dive into Hong Kong martial arts films will also yield a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture, Asian history, and the evolution of action film. It wouldn’t be inaccurate to call these films violent, but when kung fu movies are at their best, the violence transcends to a level of physical beauty that is unlike anything else ever captured on the big screen.

Kung Fu is indeed a style of martial arts, but it transcends simply one definition and extends as well to a lifestyle that one chooses. There are those who interpret it as Kung – hard/ or skillful work, and Fu – time spent. Over a very long period of time, Kung Fu (or Gongfu) has come to generally define one who devotes oneself to a lifestyle of martial arts, or more specifically a Chinese martial art. This is why the martial arts movies we will talk about today are all considered Kung Fu films, and also why you won’t see any movies with Karate here like Karate Kid.

“Where’d this shank come from?”

“Why is she here?”

“Why is there a girl…”

“That doesn’t even make sense, Fry.”

“Slim it. She might hear you.”

The accents filled the room in no particular manner; it was as if human voices just spoke to speak, with no purpose; like a filler chapter in a fictional story.

“You think she’s a robot? A Griever, maybe?”

“A Griever? You’re jacked.”

The words they spoke were foreign yet familiar. Shank, slim it, Griever, jacked. It was like they were speaking the slang from your favourite book – only, it wasn’t ‘like’ they were, they were.

The thought jolted your mind into full awake and you jumped from the bed you had been settled on. Surrounding you were multiple young boys: boys that seemed to fit the characteristics of every character that had been described in The Maze Runner.

Your eyes first landed on the lanky blond across from you, then to the boys on your right, and then the boy on your left.

Your breath was taken away – not from the fact that you might’ve spawned into an alternate universe, but from the fact that your book-crush was standing in front of you; buff and all in all his glory.

“Minho?”

You expected him to drop kick you in panic for knowing his name, but instead, he only raised an eyebrow, shrugged, and sarcastically said, “no, Jesus.”

A couple of snickers filled the room and you went to shrink yourself into the bed’s duvet to ignore the embarrassment.

“I’m just joking, princess. Don’t be embarrassed,” Minho spoke again, and you felt him peel your fingers off the duvet so he could pull the blanket down to show your face.

“Yes, I’m Minho. How do you know my name?” The words that fell from his lips sounded like pure melody, like his soul’s purpose was to sing his words until there was nothing left to say.

“I-I,” you muttered. His eyes were a golden brown soup staring into yours. You couldn’t focus on your words as his eyebrows charismatically raised for you to finish your sentence.

“I-” you couldn’t bring yourself to reveal that they’ve been characters in a story this whole time. So instead, you lied, “we were together before the Glade.”

The boys all looked at you in shock and Minho blushed, a small smirk lifting it’s way onto his face. “If that’s the case, shouldn’t we be kissing?”

The sentence was enough to burst butterflies in your tummy and your mind whirled into a haze. You could only stare at the boy in pure awe, enamoured by his simple beauty and choice of words. For a moment, you imagined the room to be filled with only the two of you.

Until Alby spoke, “I don’t think kissing will be allowed, until we figure out why she’s really here.”

You didn’t bother to turn to the leader’s voice and kept your eyes on Minho’s. You watched as his eyes rolled in a playful manner.

“Come on, Alby. Lighten up a bit. My girlfriend just got here.”

Minho had thought you were dead.

After regrettably being forced to leave you behind back in the maze, which seemed like such a faraway dream now, Minho had just assumed that you were dead. In his mind, it was the logical explanation and he didn’t ask the others what they thought. Partly because he feared the answer, even if he’d already guessed the worst one himself.

And partly because the thought of you pained him so.

He doesn’t know how you got here. Where, since the last time he’d seen you, you managed to end up directly back to him, in the Safe Haven. Minho doesn’t bother to ask either.

The thought crosses his mind, and it’s not like he can’t ask; more like he doesn’t want to. That’s a question for later. Minho doesn’t need to know that, he realizes, at least not now; because nothing else really matters now that you’re here, you’re alive and Minho can grab you and pull you close and never let you go like he should’ve done back in the maze.

Because he never should left you. The minute Minho found himself in the middle of the desert without you by his side, it hit him what grave mistake he’d made. Damn if you were injured, he could’ve protected you. Protected you from that Griever that hurt you in the first place, and then protected you from everything else and gotten you out of there. He should’ve never listened to Thomas and Newt; she’ll be safer here.

How?

Part of Minho wants to cry, although he’ll never allow himself to, because his entire heart clenches with guilt at the sight of you -- how could he have left you there?

To die?

“Minho...”

Your voice causes him to falter; it’s been so long. And he’d convinced himself so long ago he’d never hear your voice ever again, let alone see you. And you look good. Good considering he can imagine pretty well what kind of hell you must’ve had to go through given that he’s been out there and he knows what it’s like out in the Scorch. And if you’d been alone...

You look harden. Older. It hasn’t been that long since Minho’s last seen you (though, it’s felt like eternity) but Minho can tell you’re not the same innocent, cheery girl he’d come to know back in the maze. You’ve seen and gone through things both imaginable and unimaginable to Minho. Truth be told, he doesn’t know which is worst.

“I thought...” Minho hesitates a moment, as if unsure if he wants the words to be spoken on his own tongue. He’s thought them, he’s never said them though. “I thought you were dead.”

And you smile, though it’s faint. There’s a telling of a story in your eyes, but you choose not to speak on it. Minho doesn’t know why, he doesn’t ask either; because something tells him you will tell him. Tell him everything. You’ll both share stories of your journey and what you’ve both gone through but there’s a time a place for that, and now, when you’ve just seen each other for the first in a long time, isn’t here.

So, instead, you just shrug; “i’m still here.”

Minho takes a step forward, his hands itch to touch you but he hesitates, baffled on whether he should or shouldn’t. Luckily, you take the initiative for him and suddenly Minho finds your sliding around his shoulders and pulling him close until you’re able to bury your head into the crook of his neck. Almost instantly, instinctively, Minho eases at your touch; a touch he’s missed very much.

He returns your hug with one arm while the free hand moves to cradle the back of your head, sighing into you.

I’ve been all up in my feels for my teenage supercrush Dylan O’Brien lately so excuse this freaking throwback. Not ruling out the possibilities of writing for Stiles, Mitch and Thomas in the future cause my sugarpuff deserves all the love and attention in the world.

Warnings: angst, injury, possible character death, spoilers for The Death Cure however it doesn’t follow the original storyline

“Y/n no, it’s too dangerous!” “Just shut up and help me, Thomas!” You felt his brown eyes burning through the back of your skull as you pulled cold the iron lever that would give you access to the restricted area of the building. “If they catch us, just take the cure and run okay.”

The warmth of his hand on your shoulder offered you a genuine, rare feeling of comfort. “I’m not leaving you behind y/n.” At this you turned around quickly, whispering in an urgent tone: “Thomas, you’re the fastest. You’re the one that can save him.” He shook his head, eyes focussed on his feet as he struggled to come to terms with the harsh reality. You, however, quite liked the idea of getting out of there alive so you turned back around and kept yanking the lever, your hope of saving your best friend turned unbiological brother diminishing with every passing second you failed to make the damn thing move.

“What the hell are you shanks still doing here!” A figure shouted from across the -for now- abandoned hallway. “I can’t get this thing to fucking move!” The strain in your voice was evident as you clung onto the metal with your entire body weight. Minho looked at both you and Thomas, yet in a split second, he managed to get his gun and shoot the glass door to pieces. “What the fuck! The whole point was to do this thing quietly!” You shouted at Minho while Thomas ran in to grab the cure.

Minho’s pained expression, however, was not something you expected. “We’re running out of time y/n.” Your mouth opened slightly. The way Minho spoke as if he’d rather die than have to think of his best friend’s current state brought chills to your spine. He was dying. As Thomas ran passed the both of you, there was no time to dwell on the impending doom you all felt looming over you.

Minho stayed behind a couple of steps, ensuring your safety as he kept his gun aimed at your rapidly changing environment. Keeping up with Thomas was not easy as he started sprinting, the only thing on his mind now was saving Newt so you were grateful for Minho keeping an eye on you and making sure you didn’t fall behind.

Your steps slowed when you saw a lifeless body sitting against the wall of an abandoned building. Debris scattered around him, his silhouette illuminated by a street light. Thomas started shouting his name as he approached him, not slowing down, yet the body remained still. No no no. This couldn’t be it. After all you’d done to get here! To save him. You couldn’t be too late. “Newt! Newt we’re here okay! We got the cure! Come on Newt open your eyes,” Thomas shouted, not caring who or what would hear him.

Newt’s head flung around limply on his shoulders as Thomas tried to shake him awake, a low groan passing his lips. You and Minho shared a look of relief and crouched down on either side of Thomas. What happened next, however, no one could’ve seen coming.

Just in time, you noticed the shiny blade of the knife Newt held in his bloody hand before you pushed Thomas back. The blade missed him by a couple of inches which gave you three the time to take a few steps back while Newt recovered from his sudden burst of energy. “Newt! Newt come on it’s us. You don’t wanna hurt us! We’re here to help you!” Minho said loudly over the crackling of burning buildings. Newt didn’t seem to acknowledge Minho in his struggle to get up, using the wall to shift his body weight to.

“Newt, please! Let us help you!” You tried. His gaze immediately shifted to you and his body stilled. You finally got through to him you thought. A long couple of seconds passed before he made a beeline for you, letting out a loud, feral growl. The impact with the hard concrete was almost immediate as Minho’s strong arms pushed you out of harm's way and you looked up to see Newt stabbing Minho in the shoulder.

The thing is, Minho could easily defend himself but he refused to risk getting Newt even more hurt than he already was so he just took the blow. Thomas leaped forward as he watched the scenario unfold, he wasn’t going to watch Newt kill Minho. Newt groaned as he felt Thomas’ body weight on top of him, yet he was too far gone to come to the realization that this were his best friends trying to help in. Thomas’ body was violently pushed off of him when Newt got another burst of seemingly inhuman strength.

With Minho immobilized and Thomas passed out on the ground from hitting his head against some debris in his fall, you were the only one left that could determine Newt’s fate. You army crawled towards Thomas’ body as quietly as you could, the syringe with the cure sticking out of his back pocket. Minho caught on to what you were doing and was talking to Newt, trying to distract him for long enough so that you could grab the damn thing.

Newt had calmed down, the alien look in his eyes slightly fading but not enough to be sure he was him again. The words Minho spoke seemed foreign, yet they still had a familiar ring to it. Y/n, Newt couldn’t ignore the odd feeling in his stomach when he heard her name. He couldn’t really remember her, but he felt a sense of safety as the words were being processed in his brain. A constant fight between his mind and the flare keeping him from getting through to his real subconscious.

In the meantime, you’d slowly taken the cure from Thomas, waking him up in the process. You put your index finger in front of your mouth, urging him to keep quiet since he was still kind of out of it.

You’d gotten up immediately behind him without a sound, everything seemingly going to plan if it wasn’t for your moving shadow being caught by Newt’s eye. As you got ready to inject Newt, he turned around instantly as if the flare knew what you were going to do. You reacted fast, piercing Newt’s heart with the one thing that could save it. As you watched the liquid quickly making its way out of the syringe and into Newt’s body you felt another liquid running down your shirt.

In confusion, you looked down, still on the high of saving Newt. That’s when you saw the crimson liquid dripping from the handle of the knife, now stuck in your stomach. You looked back up, now sadness was painted all over your features when Newt’s face changed from twisted and flare ridden to pure regret, the cure working quickly.

Minho and Thomas still had no idea what had happened, they just watched with smiles on their faces as they saw their old best friend come back to life. Newt’s head dropped down to touch your forehead, his hand regretfully abandoning the knife in your torso, carefully trying not to cause you any more pain.

Tears pooled in your eyes as you felt his hands slowly make their way around your back, offering you support and comfort as you started to feel weaker. A way of saying: “It’s okay, let go if you have to, I’ve got you.”

A sob escaped Newt’s chapped lips as he looked at you. Your eyes slowly turning hazier by the minute. “It’s okay,” you whispered, your fingers gliding over his cheek, savoring the moment you fully got your best friend back. He shook his head. None of this would ever be okay. He would never be okay.

As your knees slowly gave out, Newt’s hand slowly carried your body to the ground. Minho and Tomas’ expression turned from happiness to disbelief and utter sadness as they watched your weakening body fighting for a couple more moments. “It’s not your fault okay.” Your voice spoke softly.

Newt shook his head. It was his fault. This was all his fault, and now he’d have to live with the fact that he killed not only his best friend but the best friend of his brothers as well. “Newt,” Thomas started, laying a hand on his shoulder but Newt was quick to shake it off.

From that moment, things started getting really hazey for you and quickly you drifted off into an endless sleep you wouldn’t wake up from.

Newt cried and shouted and shook your body to no avail. Your breathing slowed down and before he had time to process what was happening, you passed in his arms.

Eventually the crying lessened and all that was left was silence. Silence in the chaos. The warmth of your body started to fade as Newt laid his head on your chest, trying to hold onto every piece of you. Anything he could to savor your touch, your essence, for he knew that was the only thing he’d have of you for the rest of his days.

Newt remembered that moment, as he carved your name into the big stone on the beach at the Safe Haven. The peaceful sound of the waves on the shore offered comfort and the stability of a home they’d only ever dreamed of. Supported by both his brothers on either side of him he looked out at the horizon you so desperately wanted to see again but never got to.

He’d brought you home finally.
