Love how Raskolnikov is trying so DESPERATELY to justify his actions by comparing himself to Napoleon. He's trying SO HARD to convince himself that he isn't like the old woman he killed, Pyotr who wants a wife that will let him control her, and Marmeladov who uses the money Sonya gathers by destroying herself. Bro is so delusional for saying "Wait no, I'm better than them, they corrupt the youth and are the cause of bad things in other people's lives but I'm better because l killed the cause of it. Even though l killed her sister, who did nothing wrong, too, sacrifices must be made to erase the bad. Napoleon did TONS of bad things to other people, including his country, but the good things he did had more effect and therefore he is praised instead of insulted, so who cares if l murdered a girl who wasn't like her big bad sister? My good doing(killing the evil, old woman) will surely cover the bad thing l did, which is killing her little, insulted sister... Right?". Like that's a whole other level of hypocrisy.

another hot take but i really don't think tommy's "my attention?" was him thinking buck has feelings for eddie. tommy thinks buck was jealous that he was getting excluded from the friend group, because he comes to clear the air about causing bad blood and even says "[eddie] can have more than one friend." tommy doesn't fully realize what's really going on until buck says "... 'cause trying to get your attention has been exhausting," and it dawns on him that buck's jealousy wasn't about getting excluded from eddie and tommy's friendship but about eddie jeopardizing tommy's time (additionally, buck's "i guess" isn't meant to be noncommittal; he's realizing in the moment that it's true, that it really was about tommy. the way he says it feels like it's a revelation to even him). remember, buck reached out to tommy at some point prior to the events of 7x04 for the tour, but was never actually interested in leaving the 118. it was absolutely a ploy to get closer to tommy. but eddie interrupts them and pulls tommy away from buck, and buck spirals. the main issue is that buck has no idea what his feelings are doing, so he latches on to the most likely explanation to him (with further context clues that indicate that's not what it's really about) until that moment between buck and tommy in the loft. basically buck's got a crush he doesn't know how to deal with so he makes it everybody's problem.

something that a lot of people forget when writing L is that "please", "thank you" and "I'm sorry" are intrinsic parts of his persona. L was definitely the type of kid to expect being forgiven if he did something wrong and he just said "sorry" (then he learnt to compensate for it). but this is especially true for "please". a lot of the fics I read feel off when it comes to L because they underuse this little word that he overuses. you have to use please when he gives orders and instructions, followed then by thank you. you have to use please when he tells someone to fuck off in a polite manner. you have to make him say please when you can. please is essential to L just like water is to plants.
