KNIGHT FLOWER
GENRES: Historical, Action, Romance
SUMMARY: A woman widowed before she even met her husband decides to take charge of her own fate as a nighttime Joseon Robin Hood.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Crude memorial engravings, hidden costumes, wall-jumping, rice distribution, filial piety, palace drama, bookstore meet-cutes, hunky Garrison Captains, lunchboxes, merchants, men’s handfans, tiger scrolls, and making sure you live every day helping those you can.
HOT TAKE: I love how this was one of the most evil Left State Ministers I've seen in a while. I love how tall and goofy Lee Ki Woo can be. I love the shy romances that run throughout the main cast. I love every facial expression of Lee Ha Nee and I love Lee Jong Won in his undergarments.

This is one of those life dramas with excellent phenomenal simplicity storytelling. The characters are beautifully written and acting are 👌I will say the storyline starts off on a more depressing dark side of tone how life can be but it does get a more uplifting feel later in the series. It’s all about the struggles of relationships (the good and bad), family issues, growing up, and just trying to survive in a world where you feel like everything is hitting you at once. I can see where fans would say it could get draggy somewhat, but I didn’t really have a problem with it.

WOMAN OF DIGNITY
GENRES: Drama
SUMMARY: Going from a maid to madam of the house requires research, planning, and a whole lot of revenge.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Knitted vests, criminal records, face slaps, cheating husbands (and wives), genius children, wet cats, sake-infused baths, meditation cults, brunch fistfights, cold-weather golf, art dealers, illegal banchan kitchens, revenge, pop-art mistresses, and an unexpected amount of toilet tissue business sense.
HOT TAKE: This show is a hot chaebol garbage fire and I love it. It's got a real ‘Hush up, Grandma’s watching her stories’ vibe, but like in the best way possible. Related: I will never cease to be in awe of what a tall drink of water Lee Ki Woo is.
Don't think this show is for you? Try these drinking games instead: Drinking Game #1: Take a shot every time someone calls Woo Ah-Jin pretty or gorgeous or stunning. Drinking Game #2: Take a shot every time Woo Ah-Jin spends too much time on screen applying Lancome products. Trust me, you'll be wasted before the end of Episode 3.

one thing i can say about Tae Hoon today is i thoroughly enjoyed watching him run. i like watching tall people run.
no one runs like Toyokawa-san tho.
anyway, still shipping Gi Jeong with the boss guy, but gotta admit she and Tae Hoon did look cute together. it's either her relationship with Tae Hoon is a stepping stone to a different endgame, boss guy or not, where they are important people in each other's life who will help the other grow and move on, or the friendship/companionship the boss guy and Gi Jeong have is there to make them both better at relationships
interesting that i never have any thoughts about Mi Jeong and Gu. it's like, i get the appeal but eh okay i guess. can't say it's because i can't relate to Mi Jeong - i actually can't relate to any of the siblings or their friends or colleagues or Gu, lucky me. i'm just not feeling the thing - not the thing between them but the kind of thing between them and me that makes me want to talk about them - and, honey, you should always feel the thing.

Anyone in the mood for deep thoughts, self reflection, and long walks from the bus stop? Lee Min Ki, Lee El, and Kim Ji Won play three siblings who live out in the country with their parents, yet all work in Seoul. Their daily commute looks exhausting and wears on their ability to hold relationships and participate in work activities. At first glance, you would think “this show moves at a glacial…
