Harry and I have been together for years. We started off as childhood friends, my parents and I moved next door to Anne, Gemma and Harry when I was 10. We ended up going to the same school together. When we were 16 Harry and I started dating. I went with him to his X-Factor audition, moved to London with him when we were 17. I went to collage then uni to then I traveled around the world with Harry after One Direction split up. I got a job as his assistant media manager. In 2022 we married after a 4 year long engagement and now with Harry taking a brake from touring we decided now would be the right time to try for a baby. Thankfully for us it didn’t take too long and I fell pregnant within 4 months of us trying.

I’m now 6 month pregnant and both of us are so excited to welcome a baby into our lives. Thankfully I barley had any morning sickness, however I'm so hungry, like all of the time. Today I ended up going to the nearby bakery to by cakes and biscuits to help subside my cravings. It's now 9pm and I'm lying in bed with Harry, wrapped up in his arms. His hand gently placed on my bump. I sigh feeling hungry, even though Harry and I had our tea only an hour ago

"What are you thinkin’ ‘bout love?" Harry asks rubbing his thumb over my bump

"About how I could eat a whole fucking cow" I giggle. Just as I say that my stomach growls

"You hungry little one?" Harry asks looking at my tummy "shall I get you and mummy something to eat"

"It's ok. You've had a long day writing. Go to sleep, I'll get myself..." I start to get out of bed but Harry pushes me back down gently

"I'll get you something to eat. You relax"

"H it's fine I...."

"Let me spoil and look after my wife" he leans down and kisses my lips sweetly

"Ok" I watch Harry practically jump out of bed and run out of the bedroom making me giggle. How did I get so damn lucky?

In no time at all my husband has reappeared with all of my craved foods, chocolate cake with strawberries and cream. My stomach growls again making Harry laugh

"Ok ok I'm coming" he hands me a the plates as he gets back into bed

“Your letting me eat cake in bed?” I raise any eyebrow. Harry hates food in bed, I often get scolded for bringing food upstairs with me.

“Just don’t drop any. I'll change the sheets tomorrow" I give him his plate and we both tuck in

"I asked your mum if the hunger would go, like the sickness did, but she said it's only going to get worse. Even after I have the baby I'll be hungry because of feeding him or her. I'm gonna be huge"

"No you won't" I look at my husband with raised eyebrows “even if you are your pregnant”

“What about if I don’t loose the baby weigh”

“Then I will still love you because you will have created our baby. Kept them safe for 9 months and worked so damn hard to look after yourself for those months. I have loved you from the age of 15 and I promise that won’t change ever”

“15? We stared dating when we were 16”

“I was to shy to tell you that’s why Gem had to set us up. Now get that cake down you and feed my child”

The following morning I wake up to an empty bed, but the smell of bacon immediately makes my mouth water. I get out of bed and wrap my gown around my body. My stomach growls as I descend the stair

"I know little one. I'm hungry as well" I rub my tummy and enter the kitchen

"Good morning, I thought I'd let you sleep in this morning, so I've cooked you some bacon and eggs"

"Thank you" I give Harry a smile and kiss his cheek "this one is feeling hungry, let me know when I woke up this morning"

"Well then. You best sit at the table and I'll bring over your food" I do as Harry says and I sit down at our kitchen table. He puts a plate down in front of me and once again my stomach growls

"Told you” I chuckle “I hope they look like you"

"I hope they have your heart, your kind smile"

"I can't wait for next 4 months to be over"

"Neither can I" Harry kisses my forehead then joins me, sitting opposite me with the same food on his plate. My life will soon be complete and I can't wait.

"Hello, everyone! And welcome back to another BioWare™ Community Update. It’s been a little while since we last spoke, but our work continues—as does the storytelling. 

So far, years of effort have gone into our next game, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf™, with hundreds of people working to bring this shared vision to life. We’ve been quietly building it behind the scenes for a while now, so we wanted to give you a look at some stuff we’ve been working on! But let’s start with a little recap for those who might be new around here.

Dragon Age is a series that puts you in the heart of a magical world, but what happens while you’re there—who lives and dies, who rises and falls, who loves and loses—that’s up to you. There are no right choices… only those you make.

At the heart of every one of our games are our stories and characters. Each tale is told by the people who live in them—companions who fight at your side and foes who challenge your every move. This is core to the experiences we craft and is what we believe makes a “BioWare RPG” what it is.

Each character has their own motivations and goals that influence how the story plays out, but so do you. The Hero of Ferelden. The Champion of Kirkwall. The Herald of Andraste. Each of them marked their legacy in the annals of history, but time marches forward and the age of these heroes cannot last forever. As a friend of ours once said, “it’s time for a new hero.”

Making a game that carries forth the stories that came before it while still being a starting point for someone brand-new can be tough—deep lore can seem daunting to new players—but it’s also an exciting challenge! The development process is iterative and dynamic. Ideas get concepted, tested, thrown out, brought back, and changed constantly during early stages, all in the pursuit of getting things just right. And it’s very collaborative, too! Everyone helps each other to build something we hope will excite you.

So, let’s talk about that.

As we said, storytelling is at the core of what we do. Our writers helm the creation of your narrative experiences and work as part of a talented team with editors, producers, and quality verifiers to build out the story, characters, dialogue, and more. And that’s not even getting into the other teams who work so closely with them to bring these tales to life!

But what does working on the writing and editing teams entail? And how are we going about writing for Dreadwolf? It’s not like writing a book where everyone has the same experience on the page. Each player interacts with the team’s work differently based on the choices they make, how much of the game they interact with, and the kind of character they want to play. Here’s how our team is thinking about that, but first…

Hey! Care to do us the honor of introducing yourselves and telling our community a little bit about what you do?

Ryan Cormier: Hello! I’m one of three narrative editors on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Our job is to ensure BioWare’s stories are told with clarity, consistency, and accuracy. That might mean correcting comma splices in a codex entry, deciding if a hero’s dramatic speech carries on one line too long, reviewing plot points, or helping a writer choose which scene to tweak without impacting the overall arc. Somewhere in between, we’re spell-checking some ridiculously long elven word or standardizing a character’s voice.

Sylvia Feketekuty: Hi, I’m a senior writer on Dreadwolf. I wrote of one of the codex entries here, “Misconceptions about the Necropolis” (as well as the character who “penned” the entry). These codices are just a tiny snippet of the game, but we wanted to share them as a springboard for talking about our writing and editing process.

Sometimes, when I tell people I write for games, they politely try to figure out how to ask, "But writing dialogue doesn’t take up your entire day every day, does it?" Truthfully, no. I'm responsible for coming up with plots, characters, and dialogue, but also for designing missions with our level designers. I work with them on pacing, information flow, and addressing many, many revisions as feedback comes in.

We're also responsible for a lot of non-voiced text: codex entries, notes in the world, item descriptions, weapon names, etc. A huge part of my job is just explaining the narrative needs of my characters and missions to other departments and coordinating it all with them.

It sounds like you two do more than the average person might expect an editor or writer to do. How do you two work together, then?

Sylvia: Way early on during the concepting stages, the editing team gives their feedback with the rest of the narrative team on high-level stuff like the new characters, plot, and themes. Once first-draft writing for a character or major mission is complete, we also have editors give us their formal feedback during our big peer reviews.

Ryan: At this stage, as we near preproduction, editors talk with writers about big-picture topics like characters, lore, and themes. These elements need the most time. Editing starts broadly and becomes detailed later in the process because it doesn’t help a writer to hear, “This is a run-on sentence,” when we’re still five drafts away from final. We save line edits for last. Until then, editors try to hold their tongues on grammar and punctuation.

Sylvia: After the peer review, when revisions are done and we’re in a position to start recording voiced dialogue, I work more closely with the editing team. Editors will suggest better ways to make one sentence flow into the next, spot inconsistencies, and point out when I’ve written something nonsensical. Every editor also “owns” certain character voices, just like writers do, and I’ll often go to them to hash out something for a particular character or to get a second opinion.

Ryan: Here, in the final drafts, no edit is too picky. This is where editors tweak the writing with changes to grammar, punctuation, and flow and where the passive voice dies a swift death. We read lines aloud at our desks while examining lore, tone, voice, and other details that change how a line reads in the recording booth or appears in the subtitles. Voice-recording notes and plot summaries are finalized, too. All this fine-tuning involves close work between a writer and editor while we pass edits back and forth, fix this, change that, change it back, debate, agree, and finally send it off for recording and translation.

So from the very beginning to the very end, our editors and writers are in lockstep with each other. What about the rest of the devs and other teams?

Ryan: Editors are the bridge between the writers and out-of-studio partners like actors and localizers. Once final drafts are complete, our game dialogue is sent to our in-house performance team, voice actors, and translators, all working in numerous languages. Editors work with those teams daily and are the troubleshooters when technical or cultural concerns arise. Sometimes, an English joke just doesn’t land in the localized copy, or maybe we learn that a name we chose for an idyllic village in Thedas has an inappropriate meaning in another language.

Sylvia: One of the best Dragon Age: Inquisition™ translator questions I ever saw was from a German translator who wanted to know what one character meant when he talked about “dancers with tassels.”

I mentioned this above, but most of my cross-team work is keeping up communication. Does the audio team have all the context they need? Does Character Art know a plot point requires an alternate character outfit? People often compare narrative games to movies, but a lot of them are nothing like movies, structurally speaking. RPGs the size of ours are more like a full season of a bizarrely nonlinear television series with so many mutable, moving parts.

That definitely paints quite the picture. You mentioned your work on DA:I just then, too. What about on Dreadwolf? What’s it like writing for the next game?

Sylvia: It’s been eight years since our last DA game came out. I’ve seen a lot of adults fondly reminiscing about how they played it as teens! Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been a balance of providing answers to long-standing questions for veteran fans while making a game that new players, or someone who only played DA:I years ago, can also get into.

Ryan: Unlike the vast galaxies we explore in our other franchises, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf returns us to Thedas, where we can revisit friends and places that are familiar. Some fans haven’t spent time with Dragon Age since the 2014 release of Inquisition, while others have read every comic and story published since. Others never played a Dragon Age game at all and have no idea who the bald guy is (he’s Solas).

It’s a varied audience, and development for Dreadwolf has included conversations about how the team can simultaneously reward our returning fans and welcome new ones.

Sylvia: There are other things, of course, but we can’t really get into that until the game comes out.

Well, we’ll see what the future holds, then. If you were speaking to a fan, new or old, what would you tell them makes a Dragon Age game unique?

Sylvia: To me, BioWare has always carried the old-school D&D legacy in its veins. I try to inject some of what I love about tabletop roleplaying into my work: bizarre encounters, prideful villains, adventurers thrust together, arcs with big stakes that retain a sense of playfulness or adventure. It’s everything I’ve liked in the best fantasy tabletop games I’ve played in.

Ryan: For me, it's the characters. A Dragon Age story is full of heroes you want to visit a Kirkwall tavern with, or at a stylish Antivan party; travelling with friends whose witty banter makes the time fly by. The greatest compliment fans give our characters is the years of art, cosplay, and fan fiction that Dragon Age has inspired. That’s a sincere connection between our audience and our creations. And a villain who makes people want to spit on the ground at the mention of their name? Even better.

Though we can’t yet show our community our characters acting in-game, dialogue isn’t our only option. What about these codex entries? Is that something you could talk about?

Ryan: Yes! Codex entries are valuable because they provide information that might otherwise disrupt the flow of the game. For example, players might want details about the Grand Necropolis in Nevarra, but characters shouldn’t sound like tour guides. Before any writing, the narrative team discusses which entries are required and which aren’t. It’s crucial to properly time codex unlocks with player progression. No one wants a dozen entries only ten minutes into the game, but interested players shouldn’t have to wait long to learn more about the people, places, and concepts introduced. Does a codex unlock when something’s first mentioned? When a related character appears? Is the entry only required if they actually interact with said thing?

Sylvia: Making all our codex entries “in-world” (letters, books, notes, etc.) gives us ways to play with information. I chose the “Misconceptions about the Necropolis” codex to show everyone because it was really fun to write. I wanted the in-game author to be frustrated with Brother Genitivi’s portrayal of the Necropolis while also trying to deny the depth of his irritation with said world-famous scholar. It’s a diary, yet we see the author still feels obligated to exercise a measure of decorum in his private writing. And the micro-revelation at the end is that it’s someone he knows in real life, not far-off Genitivi, who is needling the poor guy about Nevarra’s death rituals.

It’s fun to layer things like this, and players are savvy about those layers. They pick up (and I think appreciate) the character coming through. It’s also a collaborative creative process. My Necropolis codex entry, like many others, was edited by Cameron Harris, another of our editors. In this case, Cameron caught that I had set file information incorrectly and also adjusted the overall stylization for consistency

You looked around the living room trying to see where Wonwoo could have been. The boys were at your house to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Not seeing him around, you decided to go to your shared bedroom.

“Chan, I’ll check on Wonwoo. Go get some more food in the kitchen, ‘kay? Your brothers might be hungry after all these video games.” You both looked at the older members who are currently playing.

After getting a nod from Chan, you climbed up to the second floor to look for Wonwoo. You were right with your thought of him spending some alone time.

“Hey, you okay?” You didn’t go in immediately and waited for his response first.

“I am baby. Come on in.” He smiled a little and tapped the bed.

“I was looking for you downstairs. Do you want to eat or stay here for a bit?” You carefully asked. Trying to weigh when you can come in and ask if there’s something bothering him.

“Yah, I’d like to be here for a little bit more.” He gave you a little smile.

You knew what he meant. You leaned to his shoulder and cupped his cheek.

“I understand. I am here for you, love. All of us.” You whispered.

“I know baby. And I couldn’t be more thankful.”

You stayed with him, in comfortable silence. He didn’t have to say anything more. You also didn’t have to do something else. He’s content with having you by his side.

“Woo?” You called.

“Hmmm?”

“I am excited for what this new year will bring to us. Just because I have you. And I hope you know that you can always count on me, too. I know you like to be independent also. And you totally are, you are strong, kind and you are a good son, a reliable brother and a loving partner. I am here for you, we all are.”

Wonwoo was stunned for a moment, he didn’t know what to say first. So he chose to hug you and bury his face on your neck.

“Baby… thank you. Even if I don’t speak much, you’d know exactly what I need.”

“We all love you, Woo. I love you.”

“I love you, baby. I am happy to have you, and I get comfort in knowing that I’d still have you tomorrow, for the rest of the year and for a very long time.” He now looked directly into your eyes, seeing how sincere he is.

“Would you like to come down now? We can’t let Chan and Seungkwan miss our midnight kiss?” You teased him and earned back a laughter from your boyfriend.

“Right! We can’t let that happen. Let’s go join them. They might have broke our living room already.” He intertwined his fingers with yours and led the way downstairs. Before fully exiting your room, he gave you a quick kiss whispering i love you again.

The Winchesters has more story to tell, and they're ready to fight for it

On Oct. 11, 2022, The Winchesters premiered, offering fans a welcome return to the Supernatural world. With Dean narrating, the series introduced a young John (Drake Rodger), home from Vietnam, as he met Mary (Meg Donnelly) and discovered the truth that would come to define their lives together: Monsters exist.

For 13 episodes, fans were back in the world they loved — this time around, though, things were a little different. As any good prequel does, The Winchesters expanded on the world and the lore of the flagship series, striking that crucial balance between the new and familiar. They'd cracked the code on how to keep this story alive without Sam and Dean, by shifting the focus from brothers to friends and, for the first time, telling a central Supernatural love story.

In its final episode, The Winchesters opened up the world by revealing that we weren't watching Sam and Dean's John and Mary, but rather the John and Mary of another universe. In other words, the multiverse is the limit when it comes to future stories. "I feel like episode 13 was us literally dropping the engine block in and being like, 'Okay fire it up,'" Ackles tells EW. "We blew the proverbial doors off. I think the potential is massive."

Yes, the potential is massive, even after the show's cancellation by The CW, because he and the cast have already launched a #SaveTheWinchesters campaign to find the story a new home. "There's a lot of story to tell here and there's a huge fan base that is very actively engaged and willing to support it," he says.

The power of the SPN Family has been documented many times (and cannot fully be explained). It's how the show landed its first EW cover back in 2016 — because the fans voted for it. It's a passion that Ackles saw the instant he tweeted out the news that the show had been canceled. "They are fired up," he says of the fans. "I love that about this fandom. I love that they are so passionate about this world and this universe and these characters that they are willing to go to the mat for a show like this. I think that speaks volumes, especially to those who are willing to listen and have the power to do something about it."

As for Ackles, he's feeling optimistic about a future for the show. After all, Dean Winchester's been knocked down more than a few times, and that's never stopped him from getting back up.

"I do feel hopeful and I don't know whether that's just the optimistic side of me, which I didn't know existed in this capacity," he says with a laugh. "I've been moving more toward a curmudgeon, more toward what we all thought Dean Winchester would dive into when he got older. That's just the Dean in me. But I do have this crazy optimism for this show and I think it largely resides in the energy that we found on set with this cast and this crew. That crazy optimism is one of the reasons why this show made it on air in the first place, and I think it's one of the several reasons why the show should continue somewhere."

For those wondering, Ackles says they've already started discussing ideas for what a new season could hold. "We were talking not only about story and where we wanted to take our cast, we were talking about who we were going to bring back from the mothership," he says, adding that he received text messages from a few Supernatural alums who were bummed they didn't make it on season 1. "We were putting together a lot of tricks to keep up our sleeve and keep it exciting, not just for the new fans but for the returning fans as well."

Much like creator Eric Kripke had at the start of Supernatural, Winchesters showrunner Robbie Thompson has a five-season plan for the story. "Hopefully we get to execute that," Ackles says. "I just think that there's a way to keep this alive and it would be a shame to let that go."

Looking even further into the future, Ackles adds, "And then we don't know what it would look like beyond that but there was certainly a way of tying this into like a possible return of Supernatural down the line, which Robbie and I had talked about. It's something that Jared and I have talked about, what that might look like."

Loki Goes to The Lobby

Loki x Movie Theatre Employee M!Reader

Summary: AU where the MCU has its own release of “Avengers” in 2022. Y/N meets Loki during opening night.

Author’s Note: Loki is written as genderfluid and referred to as he/they. This is the first chapter to a possible series and I plan to further explore Loki’s flexible pronouns.

Chapter 1: Opening Night

It was chaotic. People loved superhero movies, and everytime one was released the first few days the theatres were packed like sardines, lines out the door. Today was one of those days. The new “Avengers” movie was premiering at your small town theatre, and it had brought out almost everyone in the town. The movie was based on the true events of the 2012 Battle of New York, in honor of the 10th year anniversary of said battle. If you could call it honor. You kind of hated the fact that this company was glorifying the real trauma of citizens and the Avengers themselves. You’d think the company would have consulted the Avengers and let themselves tell their stories.

It was whatever though, people loved the Avengers and they’d enjoy whatever shlock was thrown on the big screen. It was already really loud but this one moment the doors opened and a cacophony of excitement spread amongst the customers in line. In between orders you tried to crane your head to see what all the fuss was about, but to no avail the crowd was too big of a swarm. The loudness eventually died down as customers made their way to their auditoriums. Finally you saw what was causing the ruckus. The actual Avengers in your small town theatre. Just your luck they were in your line. Thor, the massive God of Thunder, himself strutted up to your register. His deep voice practically boomed like the thunder he conjured.

“Alright, I’ll have 3 of your largest popcorns extra butter all throughout, 4 large sodas, 2 sprites and 2 lemonades, a cherry freeze thingy, and uh.. that’s it for me,” he turns slightly to his fellow warriors, “and what do you all want?” He chuckles heartily as they laugh with him, you notice his infamous brother is along with them, Loki.

Loki looked clearly annoyed by the cheerful bunch of friends, despite looking annoyed you note he also looks quite handsome in casual clothes, or well what you assume is casual for him. He wore a black leather jacket, black long sleeve v-neck and tight black leather pants, to top it all off he had some glimmers of gold jewelry and a thin forest green scarf hanging on his neck. As much as people hated him, they had to admit the androgynous man had some fashion sense.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what brings you all here to our lil’ theatre?”

Steve chimes in, “Well Bruce and I aren’t big fans of crowds, so we figured we’d make a bit of a drive to somewhere quaint but, I guess this movie is popular everywhere.”

You shrug, while continuing to prepare their order, “yeah I guess so, people just seem to love heroes, and all y’all.” You notice Loki’s uncomfortableness with the statement. You lean a bit on the counter while handing the heroes their drinks, “which of the order is yours, Loki?”

He looked at you confused, you must’ve been the only person to talk to him that night besides the Avengers. He clears his throat, “I don’t want anything,”

“Ah, come on, it’s a long movie.”

“I don’t even want to see this movie.. Do you have water?”

“Yeah!”

“I’ll have a water, then”

“Okay, I’ll add it on the order,”

Thor snorts, elbowing his brother, “oh come on live a little, do you have mead?”

“No, we’re not that type of theatre” you laugh while grabbing the water for Loki out of its fridge.

When you return to your register you hand the water to Loki, your fingers brush against his as he takes the bottled water into his hand. You feel your heart jitter from the slight touch. You hope and pray they don’t see your nervousness.

It felt like it was longer than a minute but the moment went away as quick as it came, “thank you, dear,” he calmly said smiling.

You fumble to finish the long order, your co-workers grinning and chatting up respective avenger members. You notice, Tony handing big bills to your fellow employees, you hope once he pays he’ll give you a tip too, this job only pays so much after all. You attempt to chat up Loki but Captain Steve Rogers interrupts, “I see theatres still sell hot dogs!”

You look over at it, “yeah, you want one?”

“No, not for a movie.” Steve waves off the offer.

You and one of your co-workers laugh, “yeah you get it.. we- we have this joke that your life has to have gone pretty downhill to buy a hotdog at the movie theatre.”

Just then you see an awkward man with a five o clock shadow and purple button up sprinting to the counter, “oh good! You’re not finished ordering!” He got a little closer to the counter, you figured out who it was, Bruce Banner. You assumed he had hid out in the bathroom to avoid an anxiety attack. You’ve been there that’s for sure, so you understood. After steadying his breathing he points to the menu. “Can I have a hot dog and a uhm..water?” You notice his face and hair is kind of damp from what you assume was where he splashed his face with water to cool him down, you didn’t comment on it though.

You smile awkwardly exchanging a look with Steve who attempts to casually go stand away from Bruce so as not to laugh. You see Loki looking down at the floor trying not to laugh, another jitter to your heart. You look away from the raven haired God to remain composure.

“Yes of course, dude!” You walk over swiftly to catch his hot dog off the warm roller. Loki notices you fidgeting with the plastic gloves and you swear you see his tongue graze against the inside part of his lip as he softly laughs at your small frustration.

“Struggling?” He asks through a laugh.

“Yes! I hate these stupid gloves. They’re so awkward and I can’t grab anything!”

You see him wiggle his fingers a bit and the gloves suddenly aren’t complicated and fit nicely.

You look at the gloves and then to him, your brow arching, “thanks?” You continue preparing Bruce’s hot dog.

“Don’t mention it, hey, is that ice cream?”

“Yeah, you want some?”

“Maybe later,”

You hand the hot dog to Bruce, and continue ringing up orders. “A-Anything else for you guys?”

Natasha looks, “no I think we’re all good! Thank you all so much!”

“Aw no, thank you guys! Okay so, who’s paying?”

“That.” Tony walks up sliding a solid metal black card on the counter. “Would be me.”

You swipe the card, and begin to hand Tony the receipt and Natasha the tickets. “Can you sign here”

“Of course you want a autograph,”

“Uh no, I just need it cause the total was more than 100 dollars.”

“Right right right.”

Tony slides the tiny signed receipt to you with some large bills underneath. “That’s for you,”

“Wow, thank y’all so much, I hope you have a good night!”

They all thanked you one last time, and Bruce especially calmly speaks to you “Yet again, thanks for treating us like people and not.. some superstars.”

“It’s no biggie!” You lean a little on the counter to whisper to the awkward man, “by the way over by the arcade is a single bathroom so if you need to get away from people for a moment.. it’s right over there.”

He smiles breathlessly, “thanks!”

You watched as Loki left, and good god those pants accentuated everything, you called out to the group of heroes, “y’all enjoy your movie!“

You hear Loki instinctively respond “you too!” followed by Thor laughing and Loki calling back out “I mean!— ugh- Good night, Y/N!”

You laugh back at him, “good night, Loki!”

You smiled standing behind the counter at the finally empty lobby, you now could rest. Well, rest as much as you could with a smile beaming from such an amazing interaction with those Avengers. You felt your heart racing from the few words you shared with Loki. At first you were really intimidated by him but after he had the awkward ‘you too’ moment, you couldn’t help but feel maybe you intimidated him. You couldn’t stop smiling as you cleaned behind concessions.

One of your coworkers snickers at you, “you and Loki huh—“

“Oh what— oh yeah he, he was nice.”

“Next time he comes out you gotta ask him out.”

“What?! No way a guy like them would ever consider me worth their time.”

“Dude. He was so into you! You have to get their number.”

“I doubt he even has a phone but good idea!”

As the Avengers discussed how nice the staff was, Loki was silent. Loki walked past the theatre numbers, glancing at the movie posters. Natasha, while opening the door to their theatre said “that guy that rang us up was really sweet” Thor boisterously laughed at her statement, wrapping his arm around his brother’s shoulder shaking him in an accidental forceful way, “And Loki was quite sweet on him!”

Loki scoffed, loudly whispering while pushing Thor’s arm off of him “can you not announce it to the whole theatre!”

Clint interrupted, “it was pretty cool he talked to you, most people don’t.”

In a sarcastic tone, Bruce adds, “well they’re all probably still scared about the thing in New York”

Loki rolled his eyes and glared at Bruce, returning the sarcasm “you really think so, Bruce?”

They make it to their seats, and the movie begins. Halfway through the movie however, Loki gets tired of being reminded of one of his biggest regrets and decides to get some fresh air. The fresh air though was simply walking out of the theatre and back into the lobby. He did finish his water rather quickly, most likely drinking it during every awkward reminder of his past. He wanted to see that cute employee again, he really wondered why he spoke to him and treated him so nicely. And it wasn’t even a fake nice like he’s seen before it felt.. genuine.

“Hi, I'm back!”

“Ah, not enjoying the movie?”

“Not really no, that and I need another water.”

You grabbed another water bottle out of the fridge and turned back around to see Loki patting at his pockets, “Augh! I forgot to snatch Tony’s card!”

You giggle and scoot the water to him, “here it’s on the house,”

“Oh no, I couldn’t.”

“Please, I insist.”

“Ah well it seems you’ve convinced me.”

You laugh together for a moment, and he sighs sadly. It looks like something was bothering him. You press your luck and ask him what’s wrong. “You alright?”

“Yeah, no. Um. I’m just worried the movie will spark old feelings in people and I just. I get so tired of people hating me, like on one hand I mean I deserve it I guess after what I did but no one seems to recognize that I’ve gotten better! And I’ve helped the Avengers, and I’ve helped save the day countless times but all people can see me as this attempted dictator who tried to take over New York, and then Earth.”

“But you saved Asgard!.. Well, the citizens of Asgard! And-and You helped fight Thanos right? Didn’t you fool him into thinking you were dead, made a dramatic entrance while joining the fight in Wakanda, even got some real good damage in? I think it’s cool that you’re working on yourself, and it takes time you know?”

Loki nods, he attempts to change the subject but all he can think of is that movie. “Have.. have you seen it yet?”

“I’ve caught some of it! Not enough to really catch the plot but I think I know most of what happens,”

“Yeah..” Loki breathes softly, fiddling with the cap to his water bottle, “I did enjoy the casting choice for me though, Matt Damon is doing a great job!”

“I agree he was a pretty good choice for you, though I do have to say, he doesn’t compare to the real thing.” Loki’s eyebrows raise and you realize what you just said right to his face. “I— um, I just mean—“

“I’m glad you can see my superiority to Mr. Matt Damon.” You were grateful Loki didn’t get creeped out by your declaration of attraction. But Loki continued on with his statement, “He is quite handsome, but more so am I, and even much more, you.”

“You think I’m handsome?” You felt your cheeks get warmer, you knew he could see you blushing.

His beautiful grin said it all, he looked you up and down smirking while admiring your features, “I do, yes.”

Loki rested his elbow on the counter, looking elegant and cool all at once. “When do you get off work?”

“That. Is a good question,” you turn to face your manager who had been standing behind concessions listening while doing paperwork.

Your manager immediately answered you, offering to allow you to leave early with a subtle wink towards you.

“Why do you ask, sir?”

“The Avengers and I are going out for dinner after this, and I was wondering if you’d keep me company?”

“You want me to keep you company?”

“Yes, my darling.” You felt that same jitter in your heart as earlier, Loki really just referred to you as darling.

“You don’t have to. I just enjoy talking to you, that's all.”

You smile genuinely at him, “I enjoy talking to you too, Loki.”

MY TOP 10 K-DRAMAS OF 2022!

honestly, there weren’t so much k-dramas that i’ watched this year. and yep, as a k-drama junkie, i do not take pride. (i blame engineering for this *angry emoji*) 

anyway, you should know that it might not be the same as yours since we probably did not watch the same k-dramas, ofc! :\\

10. Tomorrow - there are so much life lessons that we could get from this. i think, now more than ever, it’s important to raise awareness that depression exists and that it should be taken seriously. it is definitely a great reminder to always be kind because everyone is fighting a hard battle that you may or may not know about.   

9. Little Women - i liked that it gets better every episode. it wasn’t boring at all because there were so much twists after twists which made the storyline more exciting and captivating. it’s also a reminder that money is powerful but it should never be the cause to lose your integrity. needless to say, i think this is one of the best k-dramas of 2022—cmon it’s kim go eun, everyone! 

8.  Business Proposal - it’s not a typical romantic comedy drama about the rich and poor relationship because the storyline is way more fresh. thus, it was definitely a good watch as it also deeply instilled life and love lessons in me. kim se jeong and ahn hyo seop?? AHUHU i hope they could cast again in another drama—their chemistry is undeniable!    

7. Money Heist Korea - although the plot was very predictable for me, as someone who had watched the original, i still think that it did not disappoint. overall, the storyline was perfect! the twists were Intriguing! the acting was phenomenal! the casts were remarkable! it still delivered the same message from the og that it was more than just a heist but a political revolution. 

6. Twenty Five Twenty One - ahuhuhu! though i am one of those who wished for a happy ending for hee-do and yi-jin, i also believe that it was really what the drama wanted to deliver. it was more than just a romantic drama, but a slice of life that will teach us to know our worth, to follow our passion, to cherish every moment, and to realize that love doesn’t always last forever. :(( 

5. Extraordinary Attorney Woo - not only did it tackle timely and relevant issues of the society that made it interesting, it was also undeniably an eye-opening and heartwarming drama that will teach us to be kind and to let go of prejudice. this is also a reminder to invest in good education, to get out of our comfort zone, to be happy with other people’s success, and to know that every one deserves to be treated with love and respect.  

4. Weak Hero Class 1 - i said it before and i will say it again: park ji hoon’s and choi hyun wook’s acting were out of the world! to be honest, i am not really a fan of action, but there was something in the plot that got me hooked. the analytical skill of si-eun was extraordinary which made it unique from other high school drama. and of course, it wasn’t just about actions, we would also learn from here the importance of being surrounded with good people, being in a right circle of friends, being able to take a break from academic stresses, and knowing our true selves. 

3. Under the Queen’s Umbrella -  i'm happy that there were no cliff-hangers! the ending was heartwarming and tear-jerking at the same time (for some reason). It did not only give us brilliant actors and amazing storyline, but it has also courageously reminded us that such problems exist: prejudice, nepotism, jockeying, among others. the queen did not only protect her sons  but she also brings out the best in them. i'm definitely going to miss your smile, your run, and your umbrella, eomma mama! FACT: KIM HYE SOO'S ACTING IS UNMATCHED!

2. My Liberation Notes - perhaps some would not agree that it is one of the gems of 2022...?? this was a slice of life k-drama that depicts the daily lives of the three siblings. every scene was relatable and realistic that it would make you feel like you’re a part of it just by watching it. does that make sense? their story made me realize the importance of being honest to ourselves, that it’s okay to ask for help, and that having five minutes of peace a day can make life bearable.  

1. Alchemy of Souls -  to say that i am grateful for this k-drama is an understatement. i promise...the casts? the storyline? the cinematography? the acting? perfect! that is why everyone is engrossed in it! i wouldn’t even bother to continue the part two if i didn’t like the part one! i promise, this is worthy of a chef’s kiss. :))

Niege Borges is a Brazilian visual artist and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is colorful, vibrant and playful. She likes to portray women, gender fluid people and explore different races and body shapes. Some of her clients include: Instagram, Apple, TikTok, Nike and Sephora.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, and how you found your footing into your career!

I was born in Brazil and studied graphic design there. I always loved art and was always creating something. I worked as graphic designer and illustrator in an agency in Brazil for a short period of time and then began freelancing full time. I moved to New York in 2015 and that helped me to see that I wanted to invest more time in my personal illustration work, which evolved and I started working on more projects that were my own visual aesthetic.

What inspires you as a creative?

Of course the internet inspires me a lot, I see a lot of fashion photoshoots and runaways online that inspire me, as well social media content. But besides that I love to get inspirations from walking around in the city, looking at art in galleries and museums, watching live performances and people watching in New York.

What makes your process unique? How do you express yourself in ways that may be different from others in your field?

I think everyone brings different references and stories that when combined can become something really unique, so I think that a lot of factors that brought me to where I am today influence the way I create and what I create.

What was a challenge that felt pivotal in your creative journey? How did you overcome it?

I had periods where I had a lot of commissions at the same time and I had to learn how to say no if I'm too busy. We are always scared to lose a client if we say no once but it is important to learn to not overwork yourself. I learned that it's ok to say no sometimes when I realized that working too much in certain periods wasn't good for my mental and physical health.

What are some of the musicians, artists or makers that you are excited about right now? What about them spark your imagination?

I love Nadia Lee Cohen's work, I love her way of bringing us into these eccentric worlds and portraying unique people. Chiquitettas is a performer based in Brooklyn that besides being beautiful and having amazing looks, she also organizes a lot of events and I can see how she is important to the drag, trans and LatinX community despite of her young age, which is really inspiring. Luiz Moreira is an amazing Brazilian photographer and I really like the way he photographs different body shapes and also how he incorporates a lot of the Brazilian culture into his work.

What gives you hope ?

That no matter what happens there will always be people creating beautiful things that can bring joy and inspire in different ways.

Do you have any advice for someone who is just getting started in their career?

To never stop creating even if you don't feel very confident and put your work out there, someone will like what you do, even if you don't think it's perfect. I hear that a lot of illustrators are afraid of putting stuff out there because their work "is not ready" - just upload it and if you don't like that art at some point anymore remember that you can always delete things from your portfolio or Feed later.

We are in currently in the 2022 Pride month! What excites you about Pride? What are your hopes and fears for the LGBTQ+ community this year and in the future?

I love Pride and how LGBTQ+ people can be celebrated and also reflect one the progress that we had all these years thanks to the people that were brave to come out and fight for LGBTQ+ rights. I am happy to think that probably a lot of people will be coming out this month and will be celebrated or at least will be doing the first step to live life the way that they want to. I am in New York which is a safe enough city for LGBTQ+ people but I always think of my home country Brazil and how there are a lot of places there where it is not safe to be out and proud. I hope that the LGBTQ+ community can continue to inch closer towards equality, especially our trans brothers and sisters.

My queue system is overly elaborate and I only keep about a week in the actual queue, the rest in bookmark folders .

Hope for the future

Isaiah 11: 1-10; Romans 15: 4-13

(Sermon Preached December 4, 2022)

Advent is my favorite time of the church year. The lectionary gives us exciting readings. They are full of hope for the future while convicting us to repent and prepare for Jesus's second coming. The prophecies form the same basic theme. They maintain that the arrival of the Messiah will bring firm and equitable administration of justice in God's world and, at the same time, result in equitable sharing of resources of God's love.

Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Chapter 59: Comments + JP-ENG translation differences

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!! CLAMP decided to let us have a little present on this special day, and release chapter 59 (currently on Bookwalker and Comic-days, but in a few hours it'll be up on Youtube too!).

And apparently...the present came from the English translation too! 😂 Cause for the first time in forever, I don't have to report any translation mistake or difference in particular. It seems pretty much everything that was said in this chapter is correct and respects the original script! 😂 ...I know, it's incredible, right? 🤣🤣🤣 EDIT 12/26: Turns out THERE IS ONE TRANSLATION MISTAKE, thanks to my bro @chibiyuuto who noticed it while reading the BR-PT and Spanish translations of the chapter, and asked me to confirm. I didn't notice because....Xmas celebrations, heheh 😅 I'll talk about it in the proper section of the post.

The Black Cat

Easy to guess (I had already imagined so), we get another snippet of the play's script at the beginning of this chapter too. By now, I've come to the conclusion that CLAMP is trying to let us know as many details about this play as possible, before reaching the climax, because we'll need all the insights we can get in order to understand the events that will likely happen during said play. So we find out how Alice met the mysterious black cat that lead her to another mysterious world in her dreams. She was walking down a street that she knew well, but somehow managed to get lost in it. She found such black cat, as if it was waiting for her, under a tree of the reddest roses, in a rose garden.

Wait, who met in a rose garden, which "was perfect for Alice to get lost in"...?

See that arch of roses? Yeah.

I have to say many elements of this part of the chapter reminded me of the first meeting between Kaito and Akiho, only with reversed roles. Alice seemed to know the Cat was waiting for her, to which he "meows" in confirmation, and she offers to bring him home with her. And surprisingly enough, the Cat already knows the way to Alice's home, and leads her back to it. Alice says "You're taking me home now, but one day I hope you'll take me to the world you want to show me".

We go back to the regular story, where Syaoran, Naoko, Chiharu and Yamazaki are all having lunch together and discussing about the play (Sakura, Akiho and Tomoyo are elsewhere, and in a moment you'll find out where that is). The kids discuss about what an important role the Cat has got in the story, not only taking Alice to the Other World, but also because he's a key figure to both Alice's lives. Naoko, at this point, basically tries to convince Syaoran to get his goddamned role of the Cat in the play again (😂), but he still insists in being a stagehand! 😂So Naoko finds the perfect loophole: how about Syaoran lends only his voice to the Cat, while they can depict it with a silhouette or using puppets? Our boy doesn't really have any other arguments left to counter this, after all, what's wrong with lending your *voice*? As long as you don't have to appear on stage 😂 And I loved that Naoko tried to bend her request to accomodate for Syaoran's comfort, because she really, really wants Syaoran to play this role (after all, she created it with him in mind), but she also understands his boundaries (and in fact, she says "if you're still not up for it, I'll stop badgering you"). Syaoran says that he'll give his voice to the Cat, but he also wants to still be a stagehand! That goes to show that Syaoran wasn't merely trying to avoid "duties" when he went on saying he wanted to be a stagehand! He wants to give his all, together with everyone else. What follows is a very refreshing and adorable scene of bonding with the other kids of his class+Chiharu, I didn't expect it at all but it was very, very welcome. Syaoran starts to deepen friendships that are different from the usual Sakura or Tomoyo, and that's so good!

Restarting from Scratch

Where are Sakura, Akiho and Tomoyo? But of course, they are in the fitting room trying on the costumes Tomoyo had started working on for the play! And as I expected, she's gonna make Akiho's costume too. I have to say, Akiho's dress looks really like something I would expect more for one of the Queens, than the other Alice. I wonder if that means anything at all? But it doesn't matter, as our goddess of the sewing machine decides to re-make both costumes from scratch. The two girls are confused, as the ones they're wearing seem just perfect, but Tomoyo isn't convinced at all, and although she prepared them with the play well in mind, she admits not taking into consideration enough the two girls' personalities. "What I want you two to wear is something pretty different (than this)". She promises to start working on them again after listening carefully to Yamazaki's song. In this scene we get to see how our Tomoyo wants to deliver the best final product, while including her friends more in the creating process. For once we don't see her perfectly crafted costumes being "right" on the first try, and I think that's very interesting, especially cause Tomoyo seems perfectly confident about making new ones! So even if the first try wasn't satisfactory, she still wants to strive for perfection and do her best for this important play!

A Queen appears

We change scene once again, back to the Kinomoto house... Kero and Suppy are discussing about the Book (Momo's white Book) and its relation to Clow Reed. What did he want to achieve with the power of that Book, and why didn't he succeed? What can that Book do? Kero admits that the time he and Yue spent with Clow can be defined "small" (probably if compared with how long he lived), so it's not like they can claim to know him very well. His personality has always been twisted and that attracted more and more enemies. There's a very hilarious scene in which the two mascot guardians compare Eriol to Clow, in terms of "twistedness", and Kero confesses that Eriol can be considered a softie, compared to Clow! 😂 (to which Suppy is utterly shocked!). Still, they end up wondering if the business Clow had with the Book might have had any influence on his decision to split his soul in two when he reincarnated. EDIT 12/26: This is where the only translation mistake of the chapter is found. As you can see below, the ENG translation made it seem like what happened with the Book had any influence on Clow splitting himself in Fujitaka and Eriol. But no. In the JP text there isn't any subject in this panel, so we have to look at the context. They were talking about Clow's personality, and how Eriol is only midly eccentric.

Usually when there isn't any subject in JP you have to infer it from the last topic. Since they were talking about Clow's messed up personality, THAT's the context. So the real meaning is "The fact that Clow split himself in 2 might have affected (how Eriol is just mildly messed up)". The Spanish translation shows the correct meaning of Kero's line. That's also why Suppy is shocked, because with his そんなに (sonna ni, "that much?") he's expressing that he understood the magnitude of Clow's warped personality 😂 So there's no relation between Momo's Book and any of the stuff that happened with Clow splitting in 2 reincarnations. This is important.

Kero knows something for sure: when Clow decided to do something, he did it (in this, we can see his relation to Syaoran 😊) so if not even the Book could achieve what he wanted, it either means it was the wrong tool, or it was something so impossible that not even Clow could do it. ... I know what you're all thinking, freaking out behind your screens...connections to TRC/Holic, anyone? 😂 I definitely was left with the impression that this link could be made stronger, in Clear Card. It's still early to tell, but I have a feeling about it. The "impossible thing" to achieve might have something to do with Yuuko, and her "condition".... Suppy, bless him, asks Kero "I wonder what can that Book do" and Kero makes the horrible mistake of replying "whatever it is...it ain't pretty" and THE GODDESS HERSELF appears in Sakura's room (where the Guardians are talking), scolding Kero for being so rude while talking about the Book! 😂😂😂 It starts a very funny quarrel about who's the rudest, especially since Momo trespassed without even asking permission 😂 and she retorts, very nonchalantly, that they can't complain if they leave the house unprotected, without a magic "lock" and with that faint barrier.... I kinda always knew that the first meeting between Momo and Kero wouldn't be unicorns and rainbows, and that she would call him out on his negligence when it comes to magical stuff!!! 🤣 But Momo's got an emergency going on. She knows that he knows. That "the boy" (you have NO IDEA how happy I was that they FINALLY got it right in the ENG translation!! "Ano ko" translated to "the boy" and not "that man"!!) surely realized that she's there with them, and soon will come to rewind time and make as if nothing ever happened at all. While she says this, her eyes are very sad. She's always wearing this expression veiled with sadness, when she talks about Kaito, especially if it's about the crazy plan he's working on. Because she also knows what effects it'll have on his health, and yet this is a choice, a choice that is his to make, so she can't stop him directly. Momo is fully aware of this. And so, in the last page of this chapter, she tells Kero and Suppy that before he goes to do that, there's something she wants to leave with them. Something that will stay. Notice the verb "leave" between brackets in the Japanese version...as to underline the importance of this "something" that Momo wants to leave with them.

Also, the text in Japanese featured on the last page says "Momo's strong will elude even Time magic". Yasssss. 😆 It's pretty confirmed that Momo is indeed trying to work around Kaito's plan, in order to stop this madness before it's too late (for him too), and if that requires her to push boundaries and "betray him" a second time, then she will. Nothing seems more important than this at the moment, and she's gonna use any method at her disposal.

Also, as my sister Dacquoise pointed out, the last page of this chapter is strongly reminiscent of the last page of chapter 57, with that same "halo" effect around Kaito.

I wonder if CLAMP are visually trying to convey something, here?

We're left with this "irritating" cliffhanger, even though we all knew it would happen, since this is the last chapter of the future volume 12, and we can officially say that Clear Card Arc alone has surpassed in length the previous two arcs. 😁

This chapter felt shorter and definitely quieter, save for the last pages where Momo shocks everyone by appearing unannounced in Sakura's room, before Kero and Suppy! 😂 I seriously can't wait to find out the continuation of this, and see what she wants to leave with the two Guardians. Also, I dread and at the same time want to see how Kaito will react to all of this, and if there's going to be another Mother/Son confrontation about his crazy plan, and his feelings.

But I'm afraid that will take quite some time, since the next issue will bring us a short special chapter once again (I wonder who will appear?? Thoughts??). And then we don't know if we'll be immediately back with the regular schedule or what. Edit: the next release dates have been announced! Next issue with the special short is gonna be out on February 1st on Youtube, Comic-days (JP and other languages) That means Comixology will have its English version up on January 31st, on Bookwalker and its own website. Nakayoshi will feature said special short on its release, on February 3rd. Chapter 60 will be back on March 1st, on Youtube, in many languages, and supposedly that will mean it'll be available on Comixology and Bookwalker on February 28th.

A Little 2022 Announcement

Hi everyone! 

2021 is almost behind us and with that comes that big step forward into a fresh year. I am not someone who lives and dies by New Year’s resolutions. I prefer instead to set myself some goals, big and small, personal and work related, and I do my best to meet them. 

I came back to tumblr at the beginning of last year. First as a lurker, then as a vocal supporter, until I finally found the courage to post my own writing again. The support and friendship I have found for my humble little stories has been more than I could have ever anticipated and I’m eternally thankful for every like, comment, reblog, and message. Thank you so much! I’ve learned a lot about myself in the process and I can’t wait to move forward with all of the lessons I’ve learned over the past year. 

With that being said-

The new tagline to my blog is “Let your words be anything but empty.” Yes, it’s a lyric from a Sara Bareilles song, but the phrase stands up to what I’m looking at as the theme for 2022. I say these words a lot to my daughter. Words have always held a high value to me- they are more powerful than most really understand. As someone who spent most of her life feeling like hers had no value I refuse to let those same insecurities be passed down, and that example starts with me. Here, on this hellsite (affectionate) I feel like I have found my people; the ones who understand the weight that words carry and how they can bring us all together.

Just today- Look around this site and you see endless love pouring out of everyone. Sharing favorite fics and favorite authors and artists, telling stories of where we were when read this, what we felt, how late we stayed up, how we read on our lunch breaks and in parking lots and bedrooms. Words matter, and damn, it's so cool we get to share them with each other.

I will be taking a short hiatus from (mostly) posting new content, most likely for the entire moth of January. December was B U S Y. Posting daily on top of Christmas prep and trying to survive life in general was a lot and some things fell by the wayside. I need the time to get my whole life back in order. On top of that I am woefully behind on reading a lot of amazing fics and that makes my heart ache in a way I can’t explain. I started my time in this fandom as a reader and I want desperately to recapture that feeling.  

In the meantime the masterlist and the taglist got a long overdue clean up, in hopes to bring a little bit of organization to the chaos. When I come back, prepare yourselves, because my first personal goal for 2022 is to finish Poorly Wired Circuit. This fic is my whole damn heart and I plan to give it the ending I’ve been dreaming of since I first saw that insane-ass movie last Christmas. Marcus and Techie have some aliens to fight and some things to talk about, and there’s so much I’m excited to share with you! On top of that, I have things I’ve been dying to write for all of my WIP’s AND I have something new I’m working on that I’m so excited to talk about.
