I'm Sorry
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3
(I got this idea when I saw a little girl who was angry because her mother lied to her to go to her favorite restaurant, but instead she took her to the dentist. Her mother had to because the little girl's teeth were very worrying. Funny, but sad at the same time)
Whumpee blinked. He could faintly smell antiseptic wafting in the air. A second later, Whumpee realizes where he is and tries to get up, finally realizing that he is tied to the bed.
"Damn," he cursed.
The room door opened to reveal the Caretaker and Team Leader entering at the same time. Seeing Whumpee, who had opened his eyes, Caretaker hurriedly approached him.
"Oh, thank goodness, Whumpee! You're awake! Is something sick? Do you want something to drink?" A worried tone was clearly heard from the Caretaker's mouth.
Whumpee didn't answer. Instead, a sharp gaze shot straight at Caretaker and made her uncomfortable.
"I'm sorry, Whumpee. I had to do it. I didn't mean to harm you. I did secretly put the medicine you had to take in your food all this time because you didn't want to take it yourself," said Caretaker timidly.
"Caretaker is right, Whumpee. Please don't blame her too much."
"How many times have I told all of you that I refuse to take medicine, doctors, hospitals, or anything related to that?" said Whumpee sharply. "I'm fine; why don't you want to hear my opinion?"
"But Whumpee, you need it. You're still recovering. You need medicine and therapy to --"
"I said I don't need it!" Whumpee exclaimed in annoyance and glared at Caretaker fiercely. "I thought I could trust you, Caretaker. It turns out you're just like the others."
"Whumpee, it's not like that. I was the one who asked Caretaker to do it. She's innocent; be mad at me," Team Leader tried to convince Whumpee.
"You're all the same," Whumpee snapped.
Caretaker and Team Leader were silent. Whumpee was caught and tortured by Whumper for quite a long time. Medicine, rooms, tools, clothes... everything Whumper uses is completely similar to a hospital. After fighting with all his might and managing to get away from Whumper, Whumpee refuses all treatment. The leader and all the team members forced Whumpee, but he insisted on refusing, and only Caretaker understood and never forced Whumpee.
Whumpee truly believes in Caretaker. Until one day, Whumpee overheard a conversation between the Caretaker and the Team Leader in the kitchen of their headquarters, who had been secretly putting all the medicine that Whumpee was supposed to consume in his food. In fact, at Whumpee's dinner, Caretaker always includes the recommended small dose of sleeping medication so the doctor can check Whumpee's condition when he is affected by sleeping medication. An angry Whumpee comes in and sees for himself that Caretaker mixes the medicine that Whumpee is supposed to take into his food.
Whumpee was really angry. He screamed, and suddenly a terrible memory came into his head. The unpleasant sensation of being held captive and tortured by Whumper spread throughout his body. After that, everything looked dark, and Whumpee didn't remember anything else until he finally woke up tied to a hospital bed.
"I'm really sorry, Whumpee. We had to bring you here because you hit your head quite hard when you passed out." Caretaker tried to hold Whumpee's hand.
"Why don't you just call the doctor there?" Whumpee stomped Caretaker's hand and said, "You lied to me."
"No, I mean, sorry. I had to, Whumpee. No, we all want you to get better soon. That's why we did that." Caretaker tried to hold back his tears.
"Go away. I don't want to see you guys," Whumpee threw Whumpee away.
"Whumpee, please..."
"Get out."
"Whumpee, this is my idea. Caretaker is just carrying it out," Team Leader tried to convince.
"Yeah, you guys are still in cahoots. Liars!"
"Whumpee!"
Caretaker held the Leader down and shook her head. "Okay. I'm sorry. Get some rest. You hit quite hard, and your head is bleeding a lot. It's best if you don't move much for now."
"With your body tied up like this, what do you hope I can do? Being the object of inspection again isn't fun."
The Leader is ready to argue with Whumpee, but Caretaker blocks him and signals him to leave. "Get some rest," said the Caretaker. "I'm sorry."
