How are you doing? These past 3 weeks have been full-on stressful. When I've got some energy, I'll write a blog post... because raising awareness is important to me. Anyone could become a carer at the drop of a hat and, with no training or resources immediately available, it can be overwhelming and exhausting. I am lucky to have support in my family so I get to take a well needed break. Starting the day healthy... How's your Sunday going so far? With quite a few weekends away, and a holiday in Ibiza planned, it's time to get real and start feeling healthy again. I'm not going to make my journey about weight loss per se, but more to improve my overall health and reduce the aches and pains of my body aging. I miss being able to go for walks with my ankles killing me, bending over without needing a handrail to get back up! All the things I took for granted a few years ago!! I know weight gain has contributed to my health decline, but I'm starting to think it could also be perimenopause (I've got other symptoms too, like thinning hair, memory fog, dry skin ...). So in the next week or so I need to book in with my GP and just get some blood work done and take it from there. Do you think you're in menopause or perimenopause? What symptoms do you struggle with? How is your week going so far? Mine has been pretty good... I had my offer through for a new job offer and I managed to fix my lighting issue downstairs (thanks to a kind electrician online). I also made one of my favourite breakfasts on Sunday (minus the avocado 😞) using @richmond_foods meat-free sausages 😋😋 Made me realise how much I miss healthy eating habits. I've become lazy with food, always things I can grab... Cereals, bread/toast.... And it's been like this for ages. My appetite has completely disappeared and I just don't 'fancy' any food. Do you have a bullet journal? What do you track? I've recently started using mine again, I find getting my ideas and goals onto paper helps me focus to achieve them. My current goal is to lose weight. At an all time high of 16st 10lbs, I am in pain! Joins, back, feet, you name it, it's painful!! 🤦🏻 So..... With 7 months until I go to @coachella with @sarahbrace3 , I have set myself a target of losing as much weight as possible!! Ideally I'd like to lose at least 5 stone, with a max target of 7st 3lbs.... I will re-evaluate as I go and find my comfort weight which I think will be about 9 and half to 10 stone. I usually plateau around the 12st mark so that will be my nemesis when I get there! 🙏 So far, 3 weeks in.... And I'm 5lbs down! Yay.
