One of the many Wolf 359 script directions that is Important To Me is this bit from Ep15 What's Up, Doc?, which comes after Hilbert has been threatening to tell Minkowski how Eiffel ended up on the Hephaestus:

unpopular opinion i really think they got rid of nami’s joy and whimsy in the la. obviously it was strained up til arlong park in the anime cause she had arlong breathing down her neck and they had her trauma show out more in the la but still. where is my girlies silly !!

Nami suffering the consequences of being the only woman in the East Blue crew and Netflix being unable to write women with personalities so they have to make Nami the "mean/strict/responsible girl that takes care of the dumb men" because they're just sooo feminist and they looove empowered women (I am being sarcastic, btw).

you know what really gets to me. is how jack loosens up david’s morals. like how david starts off as a staunch pacifist because of the Optics and strategy of it all, but then later he kicks a cop in the face and threatens him with a swing + tries to punch jack when he scabs. and both instances occur specifically because he cares so deeply about jack. But also there's this tidbit from the 91 script

it's like. up until now, david's interactions with jack have largely consisted of david being openly skeptical/confrontational whenever he detects any kind of bullshit. and while he immediately clocks that all this stuff about santa fe is a lie, for the first time, he decides to let it go. Because there's a kernel of authenticity to the statement, though the authenticity doesn’t lie in factual truth, it’s in how jack desperately "wants it to be true". because. this is david's first time seeing the soft underbelly to jack. because david IS charmed by jack despite not really trusting him

really can't be overstated just how much the physicality that wolf 359 is written and performed with adds to the feel of it. there is so much written into those scripts that absolutely cannot be represented in an audio-only format, but it's in there and it's performed with those details and that stage direction in mind and so much of it manages to come through. a combination of that and the sound design and the way it uses audio cues like a visual medium might creates something intangibly tangible in the way the characters occupy and interact with and share the space they're in. most visual show ever to be a podcast.

I already know too much about myself but interacting with Talon in my head and doing retakes of scenes to fix his dialogue and find his voice is just always further highlighting the personalities of both parties....

Its so interesting to have him respond in the default, cheye voice before I go back and edit things like "he wouldn't say 'maybe'. He wouldn't give you any room to go against what he's sure he wants by saying that. It's blunt, forward statements. He also wouldn't say this much, he doesn't volunteer information you don't need to know. Straight to the point, answering your questions indirectly if he doesn't want to be too vulnerable"

and then going like ohhhhhhh :/ some things are just completely the opposite of how i am, like "oh no he wouldnt say this, he's not some spineless pushover, and he's not really overly, obsessively considerate of others perception or feelings....... Ah."
