OG Choi Han they could never make me hate you cause if some random rich boy was yelling at me and telling me my family deserved to die like a day after it happened and all I wanted was to know how I could get help I’d beat him up too

This plus the added fact that the Harris Village people were the first people to take Choi Han in and take care of him after years and years in the dark forest. Like he’s obviously not going to be mentally stable after all that, and he was so young when everything happened to him like I cannot blame him at all. I don’t think I can ever hate OG Choi Han like ever, he’s flawed, he has problems, but I love him dearly. He deserves the world. This kid who had to fight for his life, was taken away from his family, and in the process had to give up parts of his own humanity to survive, and like went to war two years later, they could never make me hate u OG Choi Han…

Like yeah violence is bad I guess but OG Cale had it coming(saying this as an OG Cale fan, I love him, but he was mean as hell when he was younger!)

If I’m honest, I think they were both in the wrong to an extent. Like OG Cale shouldn’t have said all that no matter the circumstances, and OG Choi Han shouldn’t have beaten him up so much. But u say mean shit and you get hit, that is how it will work when you’re talking to the guy who just saw his entire village get murdered like idkkkk man

I understand where OG Cale was coming from, but he had many issues and while he wasn’t an awful person, he was capable of doing bad things because of his own internalized pain and emotions that he never got to properly process because of his emotionally distant childhood and relationship with his father who should have been there for him more when he was younger.

Okay speaking of his childhood, Deruth isn’t the WORST father in the world but there are a lot of things he could have done better. I think a lot of Deruth’s flaws come from his fear of failure and messing up. He’s scared of doing the wrong thing, and so he sticks to doing what he knows and using what he knows best. That’s why he uses his money, that’s why gift giving is his way of showing affection, he knows that it is one thing he cannot mess up.

The problem is that money and gifts is NOT what OG Cale needed. I think what that guy needed the most was a parent who wasn’t afraid to talk to him, to ask him questions. Not to say that Deruth gave up on OG Cale, but I think in a way he gave up on OG Cale by giving up on himself. Deruth didn’t trust himself to have the capabilities to talk to OG Cale, which is why he never did. It’s because that Deruth was scared, and didn’t trust himself, that he could never face OG Cale

If Deruth was able to trust himself a little more, and pull himself together, I don’t think OG Cale would have turned out the way he did. As a kid, he probably thought the only way he could help his family without relying on anyone(no doubt this whole ‘I have to do it myself’ thing came from the fact that he couldn’t rely on his father when his mom died, and instead was acting as a pillar of support for his father when it should have been the other way around) was to sabotage himself, the only heir. If he was shown to be unfit to be heir, then everyone else would have no choice but to direct their hatred towards him instead of his family.

If Deruth had talked to his son at least ONCE when he was a kid, asking him why he was upset or why he did the things he did, I think OG Cale would have told him. Why? Because he’s a kid!! A kid will obviously want to rely on his father, if he just had one sign telling him that he didn’t have to do it alone I’m 90% sure OG Cale would have said something.

Basically, while Deruth isn’t the worst father, he’s not really a great father either. I think he does do his best, but he has issues with communication lol

OG Cale and OG Choi Han are both complex characters and had their own reasons to behave the way they did. The thing is with people is that they’re complicated and have layers, so the situation with them would have layers behind it as well with multiple co-existing truths and stuff

It's You And Me (We Wont Be Unhappy)

Joel has never felt worse than in that moment.

Jimmy. Stupid, stupid, Jimmy.

Joel is wide-eyed. Okay, he may be laughing. But he’s upset.

He’s laughing with Grian now. He’s clutching his stomach as it cramps with his laughter.

It doesn’t settle into Joel that Jimmy is dead until the lightning strikes the ground where Jimmy landed- burning away at his hair and clothes just a little as thunder claps along with it.

Grian’s face says it all. Their laughter dies down and Grian stares at Joel. Joel will shortly follow. They both know that.

Joel screams. He yells at the world. At Jimmy. At the fact that he was going to sacrifice himself so Jimmy wouldn’t be the first to die- but Jimmy, being Jimmy, still died anyway.

Joel is manic. He has an hour left, one of his closest friends just died, and he will follow in an hour. Joel doesn't check his clock. An hour? Two hours? It doesn’t matter to him. It never did. He was going to give his time so Jimmy would live. But Jimmy is dead.

He’s manic. His thoughts run faster than he could and he is a fast runner. 

Joel doesn’t know when he started crying, or when those cries turned into sobs he hiccuped out, or when Grian started looking at him like Joel was a shattered vase.

Joel was next.

Joel would die in three hours and 24 minutes. The seconds ticked by so fast he didn't bother counting them.

He stares off the bridge, furiously wiping his tears.

"He did it again, Joel!" Grian pulled him up as arrows shot at the two, "We gotta regroup."

"I was gonna sacrifice myself for him, Grian! I was going to sacrifice myself so he wouldn't be the first off but he's bloody gone and tripped off the stupid bridge!" Joel held onto Grian like his life depended on it.

3 hours, 23 minutes.

The funeral was- a mess. They held a funeral grave and all for Jimmy. Full of jokes and carrots and telling Jimmy how stupid he was. Honestly, it wasn't much of a funeral besides the grave in Jimmy's secret bunker.

A pile of carrots and diamonds laid on the dirt they placed under the giant headstone of different rocks they cobbled together.

"He's a bad boy in the sky now." Grian was the first to rip himself away from the grave.

"I- don't put him in the sky he'll probably fall out of it."

3 hours, 21 minutes

Joel wanted The Family dead. They tried to kill Jimmy. He wanted all three of them gone.

He got separated from his bad boy and crouched quietly on top of the (now very moldy) bread. Tango poked around him below him. He could hear the blaze quietly muttering to himself as he dug up to come face-to-face with Joel.

Tango squeaked and booked it. However, he was stuck on an island in the sky with almost no escape. If he jumped off he'd land in some water Martyn and Scott placed blue glass panes in. The water below was a death trap.

A death trap Joel fell right into. He tripped off the island while trying to attack Tango. His luck was tested as he landed on the glass and died.

2 hours, 14 minutes

Okay, he wanted the family dead, but a Three v. One chase was impossible for him to win. Scar, Cleo, and Scott all chased him across the entire stupid server. He yelled at them. This was totally unprovoked! 

Martyns surprise attack on the Coral Isles was really what did him in, he could've maybe survived a little longer if a fourth person didn't help out.

Scott's sword piercing through his abdomen stung even when he respawned.

1 hour, 30 minutes.

I really like this! I might do different thoughts for each lady in different posts, but for this one, I’ll focus on mommy Cass getting jealous of Y/N cuddling with Bela. Let’s get into it!

Cass, let’s be honest, is just flat out possessive. Even unprovoked.

Ever since she’s become your mommy, she rarely lets you out of her sight. She brings you with her when she has work to do, when you two have dinner with the family, and she obviously spends all of her free time with you.

You are always on her mind.

Unfortunately, she can’t always be with you. There are things she does (Like torturing the maidens in the dungeon T^T) That she absolutely will not let you see.

As much as it pains her to be apart from you, it must be done sometimes.

Cass leaves you with Alcina the most. She is Cass’s preferred choice when picking a babysitter. The Lady of the castle is happy to be that grandmother figure in your life. It’s really sweet when Cass comes back to get you and finds you fast asleep on her lap. Alcina is quite nurturing, but she is very careful not to overstep her boundaries with you. No matter how snuggly she is with you while Cass is away, once your mommy comes to get you, Alcina does not touch you or coddle you in front of her.

Cass appreciates her mother’s respect for your relationship with her.

Now, Dani takes very good care of you while your mommy is away, but she just can’t help how affectionate she is with you. Cass hates when she ends up snapping at her sister for being too touchy-feely with you in front of her. It’s not Dani’s fault and Cass always feels so damn guilty…

Dani also tends to sneak you sweets and other junk food. It’s very difficult for Cass to get you to nurse or fall asleep when you’re all hopped up on sugar. While Dani is a much better option than just leaving you by yourself, these are some of the reasons why she’s always the last round draft pick.

Bela, however, is a close second choice to babysit you when Alcina is not available. She’s responsible and is much more aware of Cass’s protective instincts than Dani is. You even tend to get some good educational enrichment with Bela that you would not get with Alcina or Dani. But… Even Bela’s not perfect. Sometimes she lets her guard down or forgets herself when Cass returns.

“Y/N, mommy’s back! Come here, my darling.” Cass calls to you happily one afternoon as you are being read to by her older sister. But… Cass’s excitement at being with you once again is dampened as she sees you all cozied up on Bela’s bed.

Strike one.

Cass has asked everyone to not let you snuggle with them on their beds. To Cass, a bed is much like a nest or foxhole. It’s a very intimate area and other people’s scents are usually strongest there. Cass feels a primal urge for you to smell like her at all times.

Bela, apparently, didn’t remember this rule. “Oh, we’re almost finished, Cassie! Let Y/N hear the end of the story!” Bela begs.

You bounce at Bela’s words and clap your hands.

Bela turns the page and resumes reading.

Strike two.

Bela undermining Cass’s authority in front of you? Unacceptable.

Cass feels her eye beginning to twitch in anger. What the hell is wrong with Bela?! She knows how Cass feels when it comes to you. If you weren’t here, she probably would have already cussed Bela out, but… She hates losing her cool in front of you. It scares you. So, Cass clenches her jaw and bites out a reply. “I’m taking Y/N. I need to feed them.” She growls. Cass is only feeling more cranky as her swollen breasts twinge painfully. You missed lunch while Cass was away and all she wants to do is nurse you and cuddle with you.

“They’ll be okay for a bit, Cassie. I gave Y/N a little snack not too long ago.” Bela says and continues reading to you.

Strike three.

That’s it, she’s about to rage. “No!” She barks suddenly.

You and Bela flinch at the loud noise.

“Y/N is MY baby! Not yours! You either follow my rules or you can’t watch Y/N anymore!” She fumes and comes over to scoop you up and leave.

You whine and point at Bela, who now realized her mistake. You desperately want to hear the book’s conclusion. Bela had made it sound so appealing when she was talking about it with your mommy.

Cass rubs the back of your head as she walks out without even giving her sister another glance. “No, baby. It’s time to eat.” She soothes and kisses your cheek.

You grunt in agitation. “Book!” You manage to say and pull back to look at your mommy. You would have been a lot more agreeable for Bela to read the rest of the story to you tomorrow if she hadn’t been so insistent on finishing it today.

“Y/N, mommy said no.” Cass holds firm as she brings you into her room. This is why she is so careful about keeping your schedule the same every day. You get fussy and often throw tantrums when there is no structure. Today is no different.

You begin to wail as Cass sits you down on her bed.

Great. Thank you, Bela. You’ve just made Cass’s day a lot more difficult than it needed to be.

Cass sighs as she takes her dress off and undoes the clasps of her bra. Her nipples are very engorged and little beads of milk are already dribbling down her front. “Baby, it will be okay.” She tells you and picks you up, bouncing you in her arms a bit. Your crying is only making Cass’s breasts leak more as her body responds to the sound of her unhappy little one. Cass paces the length of her room as she holds you for a moment or two. Surprisingly, she is able to get you to calm down fairly quickly. The skin-to-skin contact is relaxing you greatly.

Your sobs transition to whimpers as you lie your head on Cass’s shoulder and breathe in her familiar scent. Alright, now you just want to snuggle with your mommy.

“Oh, good job, Y/N.” Cass says and sits down in her rocking chair with you. Cass is finally able to coax you into latching on and she can’t help the groan of relief that leaves her mouth as you eat. She rocks you steadily as you nurse, patting your back gently. Cass lulls you right to sleep with her gentle purring. She enjoys the peace as she holds you to her. Crisis averted.

Eventually, Cass stands up and lays you down on her bed before slipping in beside you and wrapping her arms around you.

Now that Cass has some time to reflect, she’s actually kind of proud of the way she handled herself with Bela. She stood her ground and only really exploded once (She’ll make sure to apologize later). She’s trying to be better at remaining calm in situations like that, but it takes time. As much as Cass appreciates Bela babysitting you, her sister needs to respect her wishes regarding your care.

Cass is lost in her thoughts as she runs her fingers through your hair and hums a little tune as you sleep… Although… She may have to go get that book from Bela and just finish the damn story herself when you wake up. Now she wants to know how it ends.

aaravi x miranda for the monprom ships? aaravi x miranda for the monprom ships for the poor?

ooh okay so like. Several weeks ago when I was first getting into monprom and I saw this was a ship I was kinda like vaguely confused but 1) people in glass houses (shipping the wolfpack with literally anyone) shouldn't throw stones and 2) I hadn't seen much of Aaravi yet anyway so didn't really know what she's like so figured I'd find out more later.

And now idk I feel like it's crept up on me, I can see it?? I feel like I have trouble imagining exactly how it would start but I can see the connections... got a kind of butch/femme vibe going on (the slayer should be butch in my opinion <- thinks this of nearly every character in the world anyway) and also knight/princess obviously. Miranda would love Aaravi's prom outfit I think.

Also one of my favourite things about Miranda is she often seems to have slightly different relationships with side characters to the rest, like I think she's friends with Dahlia right , and it's really interesting how she seems to like talking to The Couple about their relationship. Most of the other characters are usually mean to the Slayer (side tangent: I have BEEF with the PCs over how often they are super mean and just punch her and stuff often unprovoked?? When other npcs like Leonard or The Wolfpack do punch-worthy stuff all the time and do not get randomly decked the same. Super not fair imo lol) and I don't remember if I've seen an event with Aaravi and Miranda interacting but I could definitely see her having a more positive relationship than the others do. And I would like to see the PCs risk Miranda's wrath by randomly beating up her girlfriend now lol.

I think Miranda would be nice and enthusiastic and affectionate to Aaravi which she probably needs some of and Aaravi I feel like she wouldn't mock Miranda's naivety or inexperience etc. like I think some other characters might. In conclusion I just woke up and don't have anything very intelligible to say but I think I've been won round and would probably enjoy fanart/fic of them and am enjoying the general concept even if I can't think of good specifics right now :)

You know, it's pretty interesting how Only Friends viewers have such a black-and-white perception of the characters, that they can excuse anything the "good ones" do & show no mercy to the "bad ones" when they're wronged.

Like Mew, Nick, and Sand are seen as these innocent victims, while Top and Boston are labelled as the ultimate villains. Even Ray, who's far from perfect, gets a bit of a pass.

But let's face it, none of these characters are faultless. Yes, when they make mistakes or hurt others, it often stems from their own pain and brokenness (which is very human of them).

Boston, on the other hand, seems to do terrible stuff seemingly unprovoked, making it hard to empathize or forgive him? I guess this is why Boston bears the brunt of all the hate.

Most of these characters are flawed but are seemingly good people who do bad things. Meanwhile, Boston acknowledges his bad boy image, and he doesn't pretend otherwise. He owns his asshole-ness.

But when you look at everything he's done, like his whole thing with Nick, he's been pretty upfront about it. He made it clear that they're just friends-with-benefits and nothing more. He's honest about seeing other guys too, although he does sweet-talk Nick into feeling special.

But if we compare, Ray's not much different with Sand, minus the playboy aspect. Ray got close to Sand, led him on, but went to Mew as soon as he got the chance. He only comes to Sand when he's lonely. In fact, even after getting to know Sand's story, he said hurtful things to him.

But because Ray's got a load of trauma and self-destructive tendencies, we're more inclined to understand him, while we know nothing about Boston's past to redeem his behavior.

What makes Boston seem even worse is that Nick is way more obsessed with him than Sand is with Ray. I mean, Sand genuinely cares for Ray, so it's heartbreaking to see how Ray treats him. But because Nick is down atrocious & was probably way more hurt, Boston seems like the bigger dick in comparison.

Also, the night when Boston ruined the get-together at Sand & Nick's place by spilling the beans about Ray still loving Mew? Yeah, we hated that cause everyone was having a good time & it was none of his business to meddle in their relationship. 

But guess what, Ray did the same thing at Mew's party, exposing all his friends & ruining the birthday celebration.

Like yes, he was angry because he bears a one-sided love toward Mew so it seemed unfair to find out he's getting cheated on by the man he chose over him. But he publicly made a scene & even involved Cheum & April who had nothing to do with any of it.

It's just that Ray did it out of love & anger while Boston did it unprovoked. So Ray can get a pass but Boston definitely doesn't. 

Now, definitely the worst thing Boston ever did was hooking up with his friend's almost-boyfriend. That was a terrible betrayal, no doubt. He may not have done it to hurt Mew but he did it out of jealousy and the need to feed his own superiority complex, with zero excuses or remorse.

But as bad as that was, there's no excuse for him being illegally recorded having sex, not once, but twice, without his consent.

That's a cybercrime, plain and simple. Nick had no right to record Boston, especially because they weren't even dating? It's not like Boston was cheating on him because he never implied they were exclusive.

And then Sand stealing the video and everyone passing it around? Aren't they all cybercriminals for spreading around an illegal sex tape?

And how come nobody condemns Mew's threat to post Boston's non-consensual sex tape as revenge porn? Like I've seen people say "If I were Mew I would have posted it". HELLO? NO. That's .... not okay.

People are so blindsided by their hate for Boston that they don't see it as a violation.

Like I'm glad that Mew DIDN'T post it but threatening to show it to his dad, who may not even know Boston is gay? That's EVIL.

Not to mention, how Mew burnt the sketch Top made him in front of him, despite KNOWING he has fire-related trauma?

Like listen, I get Mew. His boyfriend cheated on him with one of his best friends; that's definitely the worst betrayal ever. So I GET him, we all get him. But if we can understand & excuse his actions, why can't we spare a little bit of that understanding towards Boston (or Top)?

Nobody calls out the cybersexual harassment against Boston because he's seen as a "fuckboy" who deserves it. Being a slut is obviously the worst thing a human can be.

Like, everything Boston did in this show is immoral, no doubt. But the others have committed not just immoral but illegal acts, all in the name of revenge or love or hurt.

So, while I won't argue that Boston is a first-rate jerk and a terrible friend who can't be excused for his actions, we've got to admit that he's not any worse than the other characters. 

Maybe it's because we haven't seen his side of the story, it's hard to empathize with him. 

Regardless, I think that disliking Boston for being a jerk AND realising that he doesn't deserve to be violated or cybercrimed are two things that can exist at the same time. That's my take on this.

Yes, I very much am! I know a lot of people have a disdain for the fandom for their own reasons, but I personally have not had any problems. Then again, I don't really interact with the fandom, so I might be hugely biased.

As for theories, I've thought about this and I'm not sure if anyone else has:

What if Sans doesn't like Papyrus in Deltarune?

Hold on! Hold on! Let me tell you something before you guys go insane! Okay, so, we know that in Deltarune that some of the original characters have been flipped upside-down and turned backward. Like with Alphys and Undyne not knowing each other, Mettaton having horrible self-esteem and being locked away, Catty and Bratty hate each other, and Burgerpants/Pizzapants....is happy.

If this is a different Sans than our Snas in Undertale, then it wouldn't be shocking to think that he might be embarrassed by Papy. Think about it, Sans was constantly so supportive and uplifting toward his bro. No matter how ridiculous and dorky Papyrus would be, Sans made sure to tell him how cool and great he is. Papyrus was always loving and outgoing, while Sans mirrored him.

So, wouldn't the opposite be true? Yeah, Sans is still our smart-ass, but Papy isn't outgoing or even remotely excited to meet a human? Heck, we aren't even allowed to see him, even tho, in Undertale, Sans wanted Papy to be the one to catch Frisk and be all excited that a real human is around. Now, Sans is just all "Yeah, he just doesn't want to see anyone. ...Anyway-" like, I refuse to believe that the Sans in Undertale would just not care or be so flippant about it.

Not only that, but he really did just fucking tease us for getting excited to see Papy. Hell, he even allowed Chara to be around him, as long as they acted like a person. If you don't even talk to Sans in Ch 1 of Deltarune, he jokes about not even having a brother. Plus, him calling you an "idiot baby" completely unprovoked x3

Idk, maybe I'm overanalyzing and Sans is being the overpowered, funny jerk that he is. I just have a weird feeling. ...Would make an interesting au tho.

Theo’s faded back into his usual state.

“Okay. I’m calmer now. I’m sorry for the uh, heated, reaction,” Pat says. “Are you sure you’re okay, kid? No putting on a brave face this time.” 

They look… Tired. And worried. 

“I’m sure. She didn’t really hurt me. She just said she wanted to,” you explain. 

This does not improve their expression. 

“I. Sense that I am… missing... something here?” Theo says, tentative. 

Pat blows out a slow breath. They seem to be waffling on something. 

“Mm… Not too keen on airing out our dirty laundry here, but you seem pretty trustworthy. Sylv, do you mind? I bet you need a refresher too, huh?” They say eventually. 

You shrug. Theo suddenly seems a lot more suspicious than he did an hour ago, but you Do want to know what’s going on. You always do.

Pat nods. “Right. So. My dear associate here,” Pat gestures to you, “Has a habit of getting into dangerous situations and then not telling me that he got hurt or that someone is trying to kill him.” 

Theo gives you a look of concern but you just shrug again. 

“This is, of course, Extremely Worrying. And also dangerous. Like the time he didn’t tell me he was being haunted and then a ghost burned half our house down,” Pat grumps. 

Ah.

“Even if that weren’t the case though I’d still want to hear about you getting attacked, kid. We’re a team, y’know,” they say, this time directly addressing you. 

You nod. “Next time I’ll tell you,” you promise. If you remember. 

Pat doesn’t look quite convinced, but they don’t press the point further. 

“So. You were attacked by a woman who was loitering around Theo’s house. Theo. You got any women who frequent your house or the area around it?” Pat says, sounding more like their usual self again. 

Theo purses his lips as he thinks. “Well. To my house, no. I don’t get many guests. And the only woman that comes around is Courney… She hasn’t visited in months, though. I… highly doubt she would come now. Or attack a stranger unprovoked,” Theo says in his typical slow and measured manner. 

“But outside your house is a different story?” Pat prompts. 

Theo nods. “Oh. Yes. I leave my property open to foragers… And any other people who wish to pass through. I’ve been told there are good mushroom spots somewhere in there?” he says. 

Pat nods, and makes some notes in their notebook. “Okay, that doesn’t narrow down the suspects much…” they say. “Can you describe the woman for us, kid? Maybe she’ll ring a bell.” 

So you do. Tall, blonde, fair skin, wearing a ruffly burgundy dress and black platform boots, deceptively strong for how slight she looked… 

About half way through your description of her, Pat stops their pen on the page where they were sketching and instead starts looking very concerned. 

“Did she have a mole right here?” Pat says, tapping on their upper cheek. 

You think about it. “I think so?” You weren’t paying attention when she was pinning you down, but you’re pretty sure you saw one on the portrait. 

“Fuck,” Pat says. And then again with more feeling “Fuck!” 

“Is that… bad?” Theo asks. 

“Well it sure isn’t good,” Pat says dryly. 

“So this is someone you know, not someone from around here?” you ask. 

Pat covers their face in their hands and rubs at their eyes. “Sounds like it. She’s a, uh, an old acquaintance of mine I met through work,” they say. 

“Oh. Another paranormal investigator?” Theo asks. 

Pat sighs heavily. “Worse. She’s an exorcist,” they say, like that explains everything. 

“I think. We are once again missing part of the picture,” Theo says. His bowl of soup is no longer there. You don’t recall anyone coming by to take it. 

“Yeah. Aren’t exorcists good? Don’t they stop ghosts from possessing people?” you ask. 

“Kind of? Sometimes? Though the way she was acting towards you, I almost think she might be possessed herself,” Pat mutters. 

They flop back against the booth and sigh again. 

“Okay. I guess it’s ghosts 101 for beginners day. Let’s get started. Exorcists, or at least the sort that Ametrine is, completely eradicate a ghost. Wipe them out of existence. Their soul is toast. Literally,” Pat explains. 

Theo winces. 

“Now. If you’ve got a ghost harassing you or trying to burn your house down or something, that might sound like a good, if extreme, solution,” they say with a nonchalant shrug. 

“But! As we already discussed. Not all ghosts are in the business of haunting people in the traditional sense. Imagine: you’re lost and scared and hurt, and all you want is someone to help you, and then Bam!” Pat throws up their hands with the onomatopoeia for emphasis.  “Some lady comes along and burns your soul right off this plane of existence. Just for ‘not having the grace’ to move on or whatever,” Pat says. 

“You.. seem to disapprove of her methods,” Theo states the obvious. 

Pat snorts derisively. 

“What does she want with me then? I’m not a ghost,” you point out.

not a question but questioning advice for others, hope that's fine :)

so i used to question if i was ace a lot, and i would hate hearing the advice "you'll know when you feel attraction." but evidently. i did know. when i felt attraction. so i wanted to give some advice from a former ace questioner as to what it felt like since it was very recent and i think i can put it into words a bit coming from someone who has questioned asexuality a lot, if that's okay:

- i felt an unprovoked desire to be closer to them and to make them laugh and to make them look at and talk to me and touch them (not sexually). for years i would try to test in my head by thinking about touching them or being closer or thinking about if i wanted that. and when forcing myself to think about it i would usually feel like "yeah sure" and wonder if that was attraction. but when it happens you do not have to make yourself think about it or try to feel it to see how you would feel about it. it just like comes naturally without you trying to feel it.

- this attraction felt extremely different from other experiences where i've been like "was that attraction?" so i've since concluded it was not. if all you have are ambiguous experiences where you're super unsure if it was attraction, it probably wasn't because those things for me were definitely not in retrospect of recent experiences. the "you'll know when you feel it" advice sucks but is actually true. so if you don't know if you're feeling it with someone, you probably are not.

"symptoms" i experienced:

- thinking about wanting to make them smile/laugh/enjoy talking to me. more than like consciously thinking it or enjoying when it happens. but like subconsciously being super driven to do that without actively thinking about whether you're enjoying it/want it.

- overthinking eye contact. this never happens with platonic people or people i've been unsure if i was attracted to. i want to look at them more than other people and make eye contact, but i'm also suddenly very self conscious about if i'm looking at them more often than normal or more often than other people. i can no longer tell what the normal amount of time to make eye contact with a person is and i feel like i'm being obvious, but i also want to look at them more.

- there are like feelings in your chest and stomach. i can't describe them completely, but again, i can't emphasize this enough, i'm not trying to make them appear. i don't need to put effort into thinking about or imagining anything or "testing" if i feel anything. in experiences where i was like "is this attraction" (and it wasn't), i could feel most of these things i mentioned, but i had to intentionally bring about the feelings by forcing certain thoughts or testing if i liked them. that is very much not attraction after all.

i hope this can help someone sorry if it's too long.

History 101

Some highlights of the last EDA I’ve read (The Crooked World).

I took these screens while reading, along with my reactions. As usual, this is full of spoilers.

I really like the ideas in this book, and any kind of summary I could make of it would sound incredibly creative and exciting. Except it took me eight months to read it. I’m still not entirely sure why. The regulars were either a bit muted (Eight) or pretty good (Fitz and Anji), but the plot dragged a bit in the middle, and the ending is kind of underwhelming, even if it’s okay.

Maybe the book is too dry for my taste? 6/10

So i researched a little and read the transcript of the very long rambling speech jackson made at his london concert. apparently he said that all the negativity in the media about china is "propaganda bullshit" and that china is a "dope place". From what i gather, people are mad bc there was some more stuff that came out recently (?? idk) abt the abuse of uyghur people and they see his speech as defending that. he also apparently broke his contract for a partnership with adidas after they stopped using cotton from an area in china bc of forced labor/discrimination of minorities, which he said was "malicious acts that defame and slander china". Some people are taking his speech to mean that he's against asian hate crimes, others are saying he's like a puppet of the chinese state media, and others are denying that he meant anything negative and want him to sue people that have "defamed" him. Its all very convoluted tbh

During a brief break in the action, an unannounced appearance occurs as double champion Tenille Dashwood makes her first ever appearance in the NWA. Clearly not dressed to compete, Dashwood makes her way to the ring anyway and quickly demands a microphone, having something she wants to get off her chest. “National Wrestling Alliance. Don’t worry, you’re not hallucinating, a champion has actually arrived at your show. A double champion to be exact. The FIRST ever Eternia Pro Moonstone Champion and the new TNA Digital Media Champion, Tenille Dashwood is here, and you’re all very welcome.” Dashwood holds both arms out to the side, obviously expecting to be praised but the crowd reaction is anything but happy to see her.

“But… believe it or not, I didn’t come here to talk to you people. I came here to talk to one person in particular. To… clear the air, I guess. As you are no doubt aware, just a few days ago I was on the receiving end of vicious and unprovoked assault that saw me get put through a table.” This time, Dashwood gets a reaction but not the one she wanted. Instead of sympathy, a cheer rings out as the NWA crowd obviously know what Billie Morgan did to the Australian. Never one to be silenced, Dashwood continues despite the look of annoyance on her face. “The assaulter in this unfortunate series of events is the current NWA Women’s World Champion, Blackjack Billie Morgan. What better place to talk to the NWA Women’s World Champion, than an NWA event, right? That makes sense to everybody, right? So imagine my surprise when I arrive at the venue and get told that Billie Morgan isn’t booked to be here. The NWA Women’s World Champion, isn’t going to be on the show.”

The fans in attendance were obviously well aware of this fact, but Dashwood plays it up like it is a huge shock to everybody. “I’m starting to wonder now if Triple Crown Billie, as great as she is, has maybe bitten off more than she can handle. Champion in three different promotions. Competing in countless more. Training for MMA fights. Not to mention she only recently got married too. Now, as I’m sure you are all well aware, Billie Morgan isn’t normally the kind of person to put someone through a table for no reason. It just might all be getting to be a little too much for her. After all, not everybody can handle such a demanding schedule. Myself on the other hand, I’m making up for lost time over the last couple of years. On Thursday night in TNA I had to deal with an egomaniac in Tessa Blanchard. Last night, I made my GCW debut when I defeated another Billie in my first TNA Digital Media title defense. Tomorrow night, I make my Shine debut. Four promotions in four nights. Five in a week when including World War Wrestling and our little altercation that brought me here tonight.”

Knowing Morgan isn’t in attendance, Dashwood is full of confidence and feels like nobody can stop her from saying whatever she feels like. As if to prove it, Dashwood pushes it a little more and shows that despite going through a table at the hands of Morgan, Dashwood isn’t going away. “It’s okay to be feeling overwhelmed, Billie. You’ve taken a lot on at such a young age. Most people would never be able to do what you have managed. Especially not anywhere near as quickly as you have. I understand that pressure might be getting to you now, and I completely sympathize with you. Luckily, I’m here to help. That’s why in a few short weeks at Saving Private Philip, I’ll take that NWA Women’s World Championship and help lighten your load. I know you won’t hold back and that’s exactly what I want. I want Big Match Billie. I want the best. I want to beat the best. Yee haw indeed, Billie.”

hahah it’s okay i talk a lot too!! especially about this because it really really does piss me off. but yes exactly, i think people overlook the very clear personality differences the two of them have too. pedri obviously gets along with the whole team too they all love him but he’s also clearly much more introverted than gavi is and therefore is much more likely to stick around the same people (mind you gavi is often one of these people too, so that’s why i’m???, gavi pedri and ansu used to go out to dinner a lot as well). gavi is like, best friends with the literal entire team. and i feel like i’m not even exaggerating. he’s close to everyone and therefore isn’t going to be around pedri 24/7 even when they are OBVIOUSLY close (they play for two teams together it’s kinda impossible not to be as well lol. why does this get ignored)…. and yeah the complete disregard of the fact that gavi is also close to ferran and eric is insane to me as well, he’s seen with the three of them pretty often. that one edit made me laugh too, i think pedri has actually mentioned gavi more in interviews than gavi has. completely unprovoked too, he’ll get a question about him bellingham and musiala being stars of the next generation and bring gavi up. like he clearly loves him a lot, that’s his little brother fr, so i truly don’t know why pedri is getting painted like he actively wishes gavi would stay away from him (mind you he willingly drove him everywhere for a year and a half, he wouldn’t have done that if this was the case). a lot of this just really gets me going because i just KNOW they’ve seen it, especially on tiktok. i think that’s why pedri even answered the question on the residency app about him and gavi fighting because he was probably sick of it. i feel like a broken record because i’m sure these people don’t care about any of the things we’re saying, but then again i’m also sure they can’t be above the age of 14 so i try not to get TOO annoyed but oh my god (also sorry for this being so long LOL)

This!! Their personalities are almost the opposite of each other. On one hand, you have Pedri who does pretty well around strangers (you can see how comfortable he is while doing interviews, how easy going he is) but has a pretty tight group of who he spends time with. On the other hand, there's Gavi who's super super reserved around strangers like he gets so shy my poor baby 😭 but once he warms up to someone? That's his bestie and he'll be all over them like an over enthusiastic puppy 😭 just take their meeting with Anitta as an example, Pedri was comfortable talking to her from the start while Gavi kept his distance and looked very nervous but after a while you can see him warm up to her and laugh with her then they took that selfie together.

Pedri only has good things to say about him, and makes sure to praise him every chance he gets because he clearly cares for him and respects him as a player. Idk what more is he supposed to do? He does more than enough people need to leave him alone.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he saw those edits, they were all over tiktok and have entirely too many views. I've seen ones in THREE (3) different languages I kid you not. Being teenage superstars has its downsides I'm afraid. The fact that he had to come out and address it is actually very sad.

Oh, okay, I see where you're coming from!

Caveat that my only real-life sources for ~sorority life~ go to (1) a tiny private liberal arts college in Iowa and (2) an engineering school that's mostly male. But they're both PWIs, so I guess that still stands.

I think some of the differences I listed, like gender distribution, recruitment, and cost. I do think that much like the eating clubs are the main hub of parties here, frats are often the main party scene at other schools.

There are a couple of differences in how those parties are run. Both of my friends note that at other schools, you typically need to be on a list for a frat party -- which generally means knowing someone in the frat, or being in a sorority (which typically have "social" chats where frat party invites are circulated). Also, a lot of (but not all) frat parties are byob and their alcohol is only for the "brothers". Although some parties here are list/pass only, many are PUID/open to all and there will typically be at least one of those on any given night (Colo, Quad, Terrace). Frat parties also do their own 'bouncing' and don't hire professionals like the eating clubs do here, so Cody and Chad are in charge of everyone who gets in and out. At some places this becomes problematic, I'm sure you can see why.

Also, living situation. Only officers live inside the actual eating clubs (the number of officers vary in each club). A fraternity or sorority house is primarily a house where people live, while an eating club is... not that.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head. Of course it also varies on the institution. In certain places sororities are very strict about what their members can post on social media, for example, and some schools even dictate clothing/appearance for certain times of year. An eating club at Princeton wouldn't do any of that, or at least mine would never. I don't really know what goes on at all of them, but I assume if there was some sort of cult thing going on that word would get out pretty quickly. I mean I've had like 4 Cap members tell me the ins and outs of their ~super secret initiation~ unprovoked so I don't think there's any top secret stuff going on. Meanwhile, my very own sister won't tell me what her sorority handshake is, so that just goes to show another of the cultural differences.

Almost daily migraines/attacks

Eye strain

Neck feels sore/strain/tense every day

Occassional visual disturbances (Flashes of specs)

Ear pressure and tinnitus and sometimes ear pain

Left arm feeling multiple things, weak and achy/numb in patchy places/ can feel uncoordinated

Left leg shooting pains

Sometimes affects right side too

Myoclonic jerks in both feet and legs, mostly noticed at night

I lose feeling in my arm so often now that it's normal to me

Fullness pressure feeling and pain, pain only applies for left side

Left side feels stiff/noticeably weaker, alot in wrist

Occasional nerve pain (unprovoked), seems to travel around my left side

When I have a migraine, above 2 become more intense, but dealable

Keep these symptoms in mind when I explain this.

I'm starting to feel really alone with my head issues/migraines, explaining it to someone is hard enough, I don't remember all my symptoms for the most part without taking 5 minutes to go through them, but I dont feel like I can tell anybody how truly disabling/agonizing this is.

I'm becoming irritable, moody because some days I just can't deal with it, I'm not vocal with this thankfully, but I can feel it building, I'm not sure how much longer I can hold it back, I don't want people to talk to me in person, when I'm suffering, talking is hard, being any kind of social is hard, the worst part is people can't fathom it, they can't empathise with me, talking to people is literally hard for me and I don't mean the idea of being socially awkward, which I would say I am at this point in time due to covid, can you imagine having a headache/migraine every day of your life 24/7 and people start asking you questions? Or want you to be social? Pretending my life is okay?

It might seem like an exaggeration, but the pain gets in the way of my thoughts and I can't express things the way I want to, I have no life in me, I've expressed this to people multiple times and it feels so forgotten, futile even, so I just try my best every day and it's tiring, socialising is tiring on a whole new level than it normally is, I can't confide in anyone because it doesn't help me and it comes off as a moaner, in talks with my roommate, it gets brought down to depression and for a while, I believed it, I felt like I was a part of the problem, I was bringing myself down because of different factors other than my head and I can become happier by abolishing those things or changing that lifestyle.

I dont express my feelings well, I dont like talking about it, it hurts less if I don't acknowledge it, but I can't deny how big of a role this is currently playing in my life, I can't look at it like "it's mostly depression" because a huge fucking chunk of that depression revolves around my nerve issues.

If I have depression on a daily basis, scroll up and add all them fucking symptoms to the list.

I don't feel like I can "crawl" out of this depression, I feel constantly burnt out, chronic pain means chronic stress.

I just want to be alone and distance myself so on my good days I can pop out and be social and not burden friends/family.

I love my friends and I understand the help they give me, but I want establish based on the above information, that "getting me out the house" is a tough one to field, it actually provides the opposite effect depending on the day, if it's a bad day, I dont want to talk to anyone physically.

It sounds incredibly ungrateful to say that and I hate it, I hate myself for it, it upsets me, but if I don't then I will get the same advice. The same feelings that will continue to build.

Please know that my issue is complicated, very complicated and I appreciate all help given to me, but my issue is unconventional, some days are much worse than others I dont even know how to help myself, I just... deal with it. I have to.

I need help that I can't ask for.

There is no point complaining about it because "rest" does not make it better, typical solutions does not solve it, my answer to it is just carry on, just keep going, I try so hard for it to not ruin my life, I'm failing but I'm failing with style.

I find my issues very hard to talk about, I dont like talking about this, saying "migraine" for the 1000th time brings me no joy and I don't want to use it as a crutch for my mistakes, but I cannot deny what is happening to me right now and it is destroying me.

Aight, you said do I have head canons? I do. Do they match how I have the girls portrayed in Sketch? Nah💀 All of these head canons are based on how they act in the game.

Bela is the most dangerous daughter, idc what anyone says, and I’m saying this literally because of how she moves in the game. The way she calmly walks up to you in the dungeons like she has all the time in the world, that girl is calm and collected, she knows she can handle everything thrown her way. I don’t think she necessarily does well in breaks in protocol and I’m basing that on how she acts completely feral during her boss fight, her slashing and lunging, which had me shook because she really just lunged at me okay Kangaroo Jack. If something doesn’t go Bela’s way, she tries to account by thinking quickly and not necessarily considering all of her options and going into attack mode. I imagine Alcina being Bela’s role model and inspiration because of her voice lines and wants to be like her in nearly every sense of the word. I can see her having a slight dependence on her. She’s also the most patient of the daughters but it quickly runs out if things don’t go the way she wants them too.

Cassandra is definitely stab first, ask questions never. This girl is just as feral as Bela, only she exhibits this behavior a lot more often and sometimes even when unprovoked. She’s the only daughter that harasses you in different areas of the castle so I’m thinking she’s definitely Alcina’s go to person for when she wants to get stuff done, whether it be kill an unfortunate servant or simply go get something for her. I imagine that this “Bela wanting to emulate her mother and Cassandra being the one Alcina depends on” causes feuds between the two and they get into often because of it. Cassandra reminds me of a hitman, only she doesn’t get paid for her kills she merely does it because it’s fun for her. This girl probably hasn’t cried in decades and her tear ducts are probably out of order tbh and if Capcom had kept the voice lines of the family and actually made the daughters aware of their sister’s deaths, maybe we would see a more emotional side to Cass. Speaking of, she’s the most emotional idc, she just has a habit of suppressing it because her family makes it seem like they don’t really care and she refuses to be thought of as weak

Daniela is said to be the most delusional and based on how she talks to Ethan I believe that. She does directly attack you once she’s cold, she just runs around the room and hides so I think that’s a clear indication that she’s not a strong fighter and to compensate for that, I think Daniela is someone who is very good at mind games and really could put you under her spell if she tried. I think she believes everyone loves her because she was able to successfully lure past maids into a trap, I really do think she’s a good manipulator. She’s one of those manipulators who switch up their tactics in the middle of her “courting” for lack of a better word in order to get what they want from their victim. Thing is tho, she’s impatient with it too, or she can be depending on her mood, so if someone doesn’t react in the way she wants, she’s killing them immediately. She has multiple victims at one time and if you give her any reason, no matter how small, to make her doubt your “love” for her, she’ll kill you.

Standing up for their daughter

For Frankie Morales, Din Djarin, Marcus Moreno, Pero Tovar and Marcus Pike

x Female Reader (established relationship with child)

based on this post I made the other day (it was quite long so I did it with fewer characters but if you want me to do another with others then I can do a part II!)

Frankie 

You were at work when Frankie got the call into school because your daughter had been “violent” with another pupil. Frankie’s head was racing the whole drive there, wondering what had happened and hoping his baby girl was okay but ready to give her into trouble if need be. When he walked into the principals office, she were sitting on one of the chairs in front of the desk, an empty one next to her for him. She started to talk but he silently told her to wait, looking to the principal and asking what had happened.

“Your daughter pushed Alexander over in the playground today. The poor boy has cut all down his leg.”

Frankie looked at his little girl, waiting for an explanation to this from his usually quiet and peaceful daughter.

“He was pulling my hair dad! He chased me around the playground and didn’t stop pulling my hair even though I asked him to stop!”

Frankie was angry but managed to keep it inside as he turned back around to the principal.

“And what is happening to Alexander?”

“Well, he is fine the nurse had a look at-”

“No. What punishment is he receiving for tormenting my daughter?”

“You know what boys are like, he was just teasing her. Probably means he likes her. There was no need for your daughter to get that violent with him.”

“I am going to take my daughter out of school for the rest of the day and my wife can come back and talk to you tomorrow because I don’t trust my temper right now,” Frankie said calmly, “that boy needs punished for the way he treated my daughter and she should not be punished for defending herself. I suggest you have a think about that before you talk to the boys parents and before you try and give my daughter into trouble again. Let’s go, honey.”

Frankie took your daughter’s hand, walking with her out of the office. On the way the by the boy and his parents Frankie hands his daughter the keys to his truck and tells her he’ll be there soon. When she is out of sight he turns to the parents, telling them teach your boy some manners, my daughter expects a full apology before walking off again. He takes her out for ice cream, telling her that while he doesn’t condone violence she was right not to let him continue to act like that. That night the boy and his parents arrive at the door, a full apology given from him to your wee girl.

Din 

Your youngest daughter came and found Din, saying the oldest had been in a fight with one of the boys in the covert. Din took her hand, letting her lead the way to the circle of children that had formed. A boy he had recognised from around the covert was lying on the ground, his daughter standing over him with her arms crossed.

"Alright, enough,” Din walked through the sea of tiny bodies that started to run off in different directions when he arrived, “what happened?”

Just as Din placed his hands on his hips, waiting for an explanation, the boys father arrived.

“He kept pinching me, he wouldn’t stop and so I made him stop,” your oldest daughter shrugged.

“Ah, he was just teasing,” the other Mando helped his son up.

“He wasn’t teasing!” you daughter sighed, exasperated. 

Din turned his helmet to his daughter, warning her to stay quiet as he dealt with the situation.

“He must have a liking for your girl, Mando! You remember what it was like,” the other man reached over and placed a hand on Din’s shoulder.

“No. Teach your son some manners or I’ll teach my daughter to hit him back harder next time,” Din said simply, his hand still holding onto the hand of your youngest and the other reaching our for your oldest. 

The man and his son stared silently as Din walked off with his two girls, waiting until they were round the corner to ruffle your oldest hair. 

“I think I hurt my hand when I punched him,” your daughter shook the pain out.

“Well I guess we better take tomorrow to perfect your punch,” he said, the smile in his voice clear.

Marcus M

When he gets a phone call at work from Missy’s school his mind is in instant panic mode and that panic doesn’t settle by much when he is told by Missy’s teacher that she punched a boy. Marcus excuses himself from work and heads straight to the school, walking straight to the principals office. Missy is sitting in the corner on a chair, obviously upset and next to a boy holding an ice pack to his face, with the parent’s mother and the principal watching him as he walks in.

“Thank you for coming Mr Moreno. I’m sure you are as surprised as we are with this, Missy is usually a very quiet but polite girl,” the principal began.

Marcus nodded, waiting for him to continue.   

“Missy will be suspended of course, for this unprovoked attack on another student, and will be expected to write an essay on her actions.”

“Is this true Missy?” Marcus turned and looked at his daughter.

“I did punch him yes,” Missy began and Marcus sighed, “but only because he kept pulling my hair in class and pinching my arm. I told him to stop and he didn’t. I told my teacher and she said to ignore him but he kept doing it. I told him if he did it again I would punch him. He did and so I punched him.”

Marcus kept his face straight and stern, something he had learned from Heroic training and turned back to the principal.

“Well, from what I see, Missy gave him fair warning,” Marcus kept his tone neutral.

“Mr Moreno,” the principal sighed.

“She hit my son!” the woman next to him screeched.

“And your son pulled my daughter’s hair and pinched her,” Marcus raised his eyebrow, “I am not happy with my daughter raising her hands in a classroom and we will have a talk, but unless this boy is also being suspended and writing an essay on his actions and his mother is prepared to talk with him about his disgusting manners then Missy will be in school, 9am sharp tomorrow.”

The principal and mother stared at Marcus mouth agape for a moment before nodding.

“They can both be in school tomorrow,” the principal sighed.

“And I am prepared to come in and teach the young boys of this school a lesson on what no means, as it seems the school and parents are not teaching them an important lesson. Let’s go Missy,” Marcus stood and waited for Missy to follow him out.

And that is exactly what Marcus did. Missy was at school the next day, head held high after the both of you made her feel better about the situation, and two days later Marcus gave a lesson to the whole school on no means no.

Pero

Pero took your and his baby girl with him to the market to give you some much needed alone time. As he wandered around the stalls he had his large hand wrapped around her small one to keep her close, ruffling her hair and sending funny faces her way whenever they had to queue for meat or vegetables. When he turned to face the butcher to pay him with coins, he heard a fuss behind him but ignored it until his baby girl yelped and there was a thud on the ground.

His head whizzed around and he seen his little girl holding onto the back of his tunic and a boy a little bigger than her on the ground.

“She pushed me!” the little boy whined.

“He pulled my hair first!” your baby girl explained.

“Sounds like you learned your lesson, don’t annoy little girls or they’ll hit back,” Pero chuckled at the boy, lifting the meat he had just bought from the counter and walking with his little girl in his hand away from the stall, “very good, my love.”

Marcus P

Marcus was always a favourite with the mums at birthday parties and you always joked you shouldn’t send him alone. This week there was a birthday party of another girl in your daughters class and since you had a day out with your friends planned, Marcus would take her. When he showed up, the back-garden was full of children screaming and bouncing on the bouncy castle, all the mums and one other dad standing about the kitchen.

He was talking to the other dad when all the parents attentions were grabbed by a yelp coming from the bouncy castle. One of the wee boys was sitting in the middle, looking up at your daughter as everyone else jumped up and down.

Marcus and the other man left the kitchen, walking over to see what was going on.

“She pushed me down!” the boy shouted to his dad.

“He kept pulling on my hair!”

The man next to Marcus chuckled and Marcus shot him a glare as he lifted his daughter from the bouncy castle.

“Looks like someone has a crush.”

“Looks like someone needs to be taught some manners,” Marcus shot back, carrying his daughter into the kitchen for a drink leaving the other man and his son staring as they walked away.

If the rest of the mums didn’t find your husband attractive before then they sure did now, all of them saying a chorus of someone had to tell him, and he lets his son get away with that with all our daughters but we never knew what to say. After this catch Marcus having a strong one-on-one chat with the man later telling him to teach his son not to bother little girls like that or he will become a dangerous young man.
