For those of you wondering what my brain's been chewing on for the past few months. I present to you my incredibly long fanfic.

How long, you may be wondering if you haven't seen the other post?

The low estimate is 154-253.5k.

The more accurate estimates are at about 308-338k.

The most generous estimates could be up to about 507k (assuming the intended goal of 169 chapters is reached).

For reference, Gone With The Wind tops out at just under 420k (haha nice).

Why? Why am I doing this? The answer is, I don't know.

Something about this story just has my brain chewing and chewing and chewing like an overdone but delicious steak that keeps giving you more and more flavor as you chew it.

Every time I think the plot's going to thin out and I'm going to have to give up or shorten this, my brain spits out more plot points to happen.

I have so many fucking notes and a decently well-documented source material to work with (the SDV wiki is pretty extensive).

Even the documentation of the source material that already exists isn't extensive enough for how ridiculously in-detail I'm going - so I'm spending at LEAST 6 fucking hours using a mod to record NPC paths, which I'll then manually input into those spreadsheets I was talking about. Some NPCs are going to get more content than the original source material gave them, so their schedules are going to have to be generated from scratch.

Mind you, this whole fic starts a year before the PCs even arrive. So not only do I have to figure out schedules for things that happen before the events of the game (such as Abigail exploring the farm and Elliott moving in), but I have to adjust schedules for Year 1 (or 2 depending on how you look at it) according to deviations from the source material.

Y'all can probably find this if you look hard enough for it, the first 8 (correction: 9) chapters are published on AO3 and I've been talking about some of the details on both my AO3 and my Tumblr account. The fic tags need updating since some new developments happened - I'll get to that eventually.

Anyways, those little lines and dots are just to indicate that Jackson and Apollo are both farmers. Yes, Apollo is a woman, despite her name. fuck your gender roles and gendered names she does what she wants. Yes, Maru is non-binary, because why the fuck not. Yes, Haley's trans because fuck the police.

Links by Strongth

1. Twilight. I won't say he has no competition (I'll get to that later), but a lifetime of heavy farm work and wrestling large goats means this Link is the overall strongest of the bunch. He's got the strength to wrestle Gorons (with the help of the iron boots, but still) and the stamina to wrestle them all day long if he wants to. Boy's a beast. (Ha.)

2. Wild. Seriously why does no one talk about this. Daruk's obnoxiously huge Boulder Breaker? Swings it around like it's no different than an ordinary claymore. Rocks nearly the size of himself? Right over his head, doesn't even flinch. Doesn't even drain his stamina (unlike Sky, who I'll get to). And don't even get me started on grip strength. I don't know how he fits so much stronk into such a smol frame, but he does. And it's glorious.

3. Sky. I personally believe that Sky, at his peak, is actually stronger than Wild and even Twilight. However, the problem is that Sky has terrible staying power. He can lift huge heavy barrels up over his head like it's nothing, and hurl the giant life fruit clear over Lanayru's head, sure, but that drains his limited stamina very quickly. Compare that to Twi and Wild, who can carry obscenely heavy rocks for basically ever. Sky may be able to lift a bigger rock than Twi or Wild, but he can't carry even the smaller large rocks for anywhere near as long as they can.

4. Time. Farm work and fighting in full plate armor means he's pretty darned strong. Maybe he wasn't as stronk during OoT, but he's taller and a lot more built this time (ha) around.

5. Warriors. You've gotta have a lot of strength to sweep multiple enemies like he does, especially in full armor.

6. Four. Blacksmith. Gotta be respectably strong to wield that hammer effectively.

7. Wind. Can wield & throw big ol' claymores that are, like, twice his size.

8. Hyrule. Basically on par with Legend, but surviving on his own in the wild would give him an edge.

9. Legend. Boy uses his magic items as a crutch and cannot believe how strong Twi is. I like to think he's actually a little stronger than your average Joe, being a Hero and all, but he can't do normal, "strong guy" stuff like lifting rocks and whatnot.

biggest thoughts on skyward sword link?

aight. get ready. because I have many thoughts about him.

So, first off, yes, he is a silly sleepy doofus of a sky boy who is extremely soft and adorable and deserves everything. But, while that take is 100% correct and should not be overlooked, he is also a feral rabid gremlin who can and will tear your face off with his bare hands if the need arises (such as if you threaten Zelda).

(I mean. there's your proof right there...)

Now, a lot of people think that Link from Breath of the Wild is the strongest/toughest/etc.

Politely, I disagree.

So then who is the strongest? None other than Sky Link.

Let's start with the basics. He might not have been raised on a farm or in service as a knight for the royal family, but at the same time, he's attended an academy specifically for training knights his entire life. At the start of the game he can lift and throw massive barrels, is stated and shown to be an excellent climber, is a natural at Loftwing flying and at catching Zelda when she throws herself off of Skyloft, and is already excellent with a blade. Later on he can lift and throw small boulders, and push large wooden crates and metal carts.

But like I said, that's just the basics.

Sky Link also fights/defeats the Imprisoned and Ghirahim three times. Both grow stronger with each battle, but he defeats them nonetheless. Ghirahim at first sees him as just a silly little child who can't possibly defeat him; he quickly learns Link is anything but that and in all three of his fights becomes so humiliated that he rages at Link and on two occasions leaves instead of allowing himself to be defeated further. "You think I can't defeat you? You think I can't win? What are you, boy?" he asks in the final fight. He's afraid of Link, because Link is too powerful for him. He's the silly soft sky child, but three times now he has claimed victory over the Demon King's right hand man.

Then there's the Silent Realms, of which Link goes through four. Each one becomes increasingly more difficult and dangerous, and yet he completes all of them. Not only that, but he finds each Sacred Flame required to strengthen Fi and ends up forging the true Master Sword. He also earns and wields the full Triforce, which only a tiny handful of other Links have done. He also survives getting crushed by boulders on numerous occasions and is imprisoned (probably with a concussion) but escapes; battles a massive army of Moblins, Stalfos, and Bokoblins; and with each Silent Realm, his spirit grows, signifying he is not only strong physically, but mentally.

Anything I'm forgetting, besides the fact that Hylia specifically chose him to be her hero and defeat-

Oh yeah.

Demise.

Yup, in case anyone forgot, Sky Link kills Demise, the literal embodiment of evil itself, the original villain from whom Ganondorf comes. Demise is the most powerful enemy in LoZ who not only destroyed Hylia, but nearly all of the Surface as well; according to him, humans cower and quake upon seeing him; none but Link have ever dared to even consider standing up to him. Fighting Link, to Demise, is a casual, lighthearted ordeal where he believes he can take it easy before going off and destroying the world.

But yeah, that doesn't quite happen.

In the end, Link defeats Demise utterly on a battlefield of water and lightning, charging his own blade with it and striking the killing blow. Demise perishes and is absorbed into the Master Sword, directly after threatening that his hate, never perishing, will follow Link and Zelda throughout time.

And there you have it. Sky has just defeated the original incarnation of a cycle of endless hatred.

She-Clops has been the first among all of them, I think they've been there since 2016. It has had two rewrites and so many characters came and went but I think I'm satisfied with the Blueyesque story style it has now

Ghost Pile and When The Moon Is Bright both came around 2017 when Deltarune and Cuphead are huge hits. These are probably gonna be dormant but like, I like to include em but also here's a random pic cuz I can't find any drawings of either

The Light Plague started at 2018 and it has had many beautiful and painful rewrites. TLP is also the oc set with the densest story since it's a compilation of angsty characters that has each their own thing going on

Crank Those Gears, I believe that was 2020 or 2021 during my TF2 era because that is heavily inspired by EngieSpy. Still adore GR-17 and Nodiel dearly, hope I get to start on the webcomic

On the same world building as CTG, there's Shallow Stares with the magic tree babies. Shallow Stares came along shortly after She-Clops. One of the trees in the trio, Twelve, his design actually came to me in a dream and I just drew him. Next thing you know it became an entire dndesque adventuretimesque fantasy world, post apocalypse and all (and that apocalypse was TLP)

Not part of any self made world but TF2 ocs but Michel and his team should also be here too, somewhere mid 2021 or early 2022, that beautiful fucker is made because the DNAD server (GODBLESS DNAD YEEHAW) has a pack of people who absolutely adores tentamercs and I joined in with em. Gave him a whole team with their own original traits to go along with them. I haven't posted anything about this but the Soldier in Michel's team is a druid that wanna be human

Leave You're Not Safe Here, heavily inspired by Don't Hug Me, is the second newest out of all the sets, I think it's one year old or about to be a year old. Honestly I LOVE the concept of LYNSH cuz the main characters are all these weirdcore or abstract people but it's like a Regular Show thing so there's also humans in it. Tho the humans are rainbow coloured like Psychonauts characters (fun fact, TLP characters used to be coloured the same way, Cobalt is the only one that isn't changed) Lemme tell you smthn about LYNSH. It's the humans that act like weirdos and they insist that the abstract characters don't belong anywhere. Absolutely not a metaphor for anything

And now it leads us to Cursed To Charm. First oc set that's collaborated with someone else on the writing, shoutout to my brother from the same mushroom root @beefy-the-stronk CtC is barely three months old and yet we already came up with three seasons worth of a timeline, it's beautiful shit

Oh, Now I want to know your thoughts on Fledge, and maybe the other Knight Academy Students

Oh my god I love Fledge (and pretty much every NPC but especially the students). This is gonna be kind of a mix of game headcanons and TMM headcanons, because the two blend into each other since TMM is post-game.

I really enjoy Fledge as a character in canon! Even though he only participates briefly in the main storyline (basically, just reporting on what happened to Link's Crimson Loftwing), I like that he has his own arc in sidequests about wanting to get physically stronger. I think he's just sweet and adorable tbh, and I like that he doesn't really undergo a stereotypical gymbro personality change? Like, he gets buffed out as all hell but it doesn't change that he's still kind of a sensitive and soft spoken person. I like to imagine that he has relatively mellow creative hobbies like sewing or painting, and he still does that even after becoming Stronk Fledge.

In TMM he is about to participate in his Wing Ceremony and hopefully graduate into a Skyloft Knight. He's still an undergrad and is two years Link's junior (18). He looks up to Link and may or may not have a little crush on him.

For the other students, I'm going to make a lore post. Turns out as per usual, I was getting too long-winded and detailed, so I just shoved it all into its own thing.
