Still thinking about that scene after the Richas no-armor near death scare, with q!Bad taking him & q!Felps to the church cemetery

How it started with Bad explaining that the other day, him and Dapper came to the cemetery to sing happy birthday for the eggs who passed on. Then him just bluntly telling Richas:

“Do you want us to celebrate your birthday here one day?

Like… that hit hard. for q!Bad this statement carries a lot of personal weight- he was there for each egg death, and felt each harder than the last. seeing a death message in chat genuinely scares him to the point he’s developed these crazy trauma reflexes to go save them. every single month on the eggs’ birthday he visits the graves to leave presents and sing, tells them about the happenings on the island, how their parents are doing, how much everyone misses them. that he’s still doing the best he can to protect their siblings.

Seeing Richas endanger himself with that risky behavior is rightfully upsetting.

But he still explained to Richas that he’s not trying to scare him by bringing him to this place and saying all this about life and death, he’s trying to educate & show that there’s so many people on the island who care about Richas and would be upset if something happened to him. especially if it was some silly death that could’ve been easily prevented if he just protected himself better with armor. he hopes that Richas could understand that, even just a little.

And before leaving, Bad made sure to take a moment to speak directly with the graves:

“See, guys? Don’t worry. I’ll do everything I can to keep your sibling safe, okay? ….Even if it’s from himself.”

gut punch. this whole scene hurt. but we all really love this little egg sooo much <3

Bad is not the only one who got attatched to these little eggs.

We, the ghosties, have always been there by his side. So of course we love his kids just as much as he does. We have laughed with them, cried with them, enjoyed the sillies and feared for their lives.

And same as with Bad its not just his own kids, its all of them. We have been there for all the baby sitting duties and hang out sessions and making sure no one dies of neglect again.

But when Bad is not around a lot of us have also checked on the other kids when they are not with Bad but with their own parents, making sure they are doing ok.

We have seen all the kids fall and grow and live their lives. We have been there for all of it.

So of course when Bad died and we lost our anchor we know that the eggs did as well. So of course we follow them around, making sure they are not in danger, making sure they are not alone, at least not completely. Even if they dont know it. And of course we have to make our presence known or intervine from time to time. Usually we dont need to because Bad is there to do it but we love these eggs so much that me cant just stand by. And we will gather enough energy to help if we need to like with pepito.

As long as Bad is gone we are talking over his duty as well as we can. Because we love the eggs just as much as he does. <3

There are tears welling in his eyes and he doesn't want Izzy to see them, doesn't want to distress his already overtaxed system even more, so he takes an extra moment to wring the cloth over the bowl while blinking rapidly to get rid of the tears.

And yet, a sob weasels its way into his words as he adds, almost an afterthought ( that sounds far more bitter than it has any right to be ):

[ OPEN for Izzy post-S2 because ouizzy is something else entirely as a ship and I need more of them and because this phrase about the ship and its figurehead/unicorn appeared in my head and I thought that it would suit Frenchie the most because if someone knows about mythical symbolism of figureheads etc, it’s him also, he's upset his boyfriend seems to be giving up ]

a petty complaint but still: to the various posts i’ve seen about how Aragorn disrespects Lúthien by summing up her entire life and legacy as “she died” - that’s movie Aragorn. book Aragorn sings his nine-stanza song about Beren and Lúthien, gives a quick history lesson of the First Age, credits Lúthien with rescuing Beren from Sauron, explains how they successfully stole a Silmaril together, and then how Beren dies and she follows him and gets him back, before they both die. and then he explains how her heritage lives on! like slander book Aragorn for the things he actually does, if you want, but not for giving Lúthien short shrift in his story. that’s on the movies

#tolkien loved this damn story he's going to make aragorn monologue about it. not write lúthien off with two words #the movies are playing up their 'aragorn fears arwen dying for his sake etc etc' thing so of course in that version #he'd focus on what mortality cost her #but in the book he's like naming all her descendants and telling tales of her + beren's feats like he *wants* to be part of this story #also he's literally her descendant himself - he mentions the kings of númenor even. and he's trying to rp beren in his own life #lúthien's story very much means more to him than her death #it doesn't end with 'she died' that misses the point so hard! which the movies did but aragorn in this instance does not #clearly i am critical of the movies. and the books lol whenever warranted but in this case noooo stop saying aragorn said this #aragorn #luthien #lord of the rings #tolkien #skravler #lotr

• Looking for MxF (me as M) or MxM(though preferable MxF simply because I like more feminine characters. That or pack it up and give your M character a skirt. It's one or the other😏) I love FxF only for double ups to be honest.

• I'm certainly not doing oc x cc with me as the cc unless it's a double.

•something I'd like is the usage of the canon characters. I love worldbuilding, I love character building and if we use canon characters even if it's in the background, it *enhances* that. Even if you only use 3 canon characters while I use 11, I don't care. Don't get it twisted it's not NECCESARY but could be nice. Ignore this if it's a fandomless roleplay.

• Literacy! I'm extremely adaptive but at minimum I ask you do two paragraphs so I have something to work with. Alongside this have some good grammar. I'm not a grammar nazi for wanting to understand your sentences. If your first language is not english that's fine because it's not mine either! We can help eachother for all I care.

• I am extremely patient but do not dm me if you will be responding only two times a week. I get super invested in a roleplay and it is painful to want more but have to wait a millenia for your response. I am a busy person as well but c'mon. Though if you tell me in advance you'll be busy I'll probably be a lot more lenient.

• Mostly want something with romance. Not opposed to alll the other genres, romance is boring if it's just that. But that's mainly what I want. I want two hot people to fall in love.

• If you are not into talking ooc we won't mesh well. This isn't a business transaction and while we don't need to be full on friends I atleast want some communication between us.

• You get many many points if you gush about the show, ships or anything with me! Pinterest boards who? Spotify playlists?? Edits? Chefs kiss. You don't need to make em because I sure as shit will. Point is, have fun!

• Last thing. Real FCs are a heavy preference, all of my fandoms are TV shows and I can't imagine an animated character with fuckin' Jenna ortega. I don't mind helping you find a FC, but I will not roleplay with piccrew. I can maybe be convinced into using an animated fc especially if it's an animated show but otherwise oof.
