It's been years since i've played this game and I started crying when I figured out you can't play it anymore then started crying again when someone told me where to get s1 and s2 for free so that has sparked determination in me.

So, I have come to tell you I will finally contribute to this fandom. I am writing a season 3, where Romeo is still an admin. It's an au where Romeo made a deal with Jesse after realizing he might actually not win. The deal was that he would give Xara back her admin abilities and not kill anyone (and/)or destroy people's homes and he would get to keep his abilities. Jesse has the golden gauntlet in case he goes rogue.

There will be two versions, one with male Jesse and one with female Jesse, they have very different personalities. I'm using my own versions that I used. Each chapter will be 15k or 20k words, still haven't decided. I want to make them longer than my usual works.

Fem Jesse went with Petra after the Romeo situation was fixed, enough, and put Radar in charge. Male Jesse stayed in charge. You can probably guess why. (Fem Jesse is with Petra, male Jesse is with Lukas)

It is mostly centered around Xara, Romeo, and Radar but everyone else will have their moments too. It goes more in-depth on the other worlds through the portal network too, and Otto and Emily as well as the old builders world will be there a few times. So will the Sky City people and their new cities. The underground might be in there too.

I saw a post on here about shipping Nell and Xara and honestly became obsessed so...Xara is with Nell. Romeo will be with Radar after getting over Fred because Radar is my favorite and who doesn't want to start dating the emotionally constipated god that almost killed you, your friends, your townspeople, the world, locked a bunch of people under bedrock and started anew, killed their husband out of rage and confusion, locked up their best friend also out of rage and confusion, and hated you for about three months? It's fine tho he made challenges for them. Because he feels bad. And helped rebuild. Because he feels bad.

And there's FUCKING SOREN and his DUMBASS BOOKS as a treat. And Isor.

So Jesse makes a plan to stop Romeo and invites Olivia to help them (Axel and Lukas kind of forced themselves in due to not trusting Jesse with Olivia alone) and go on an epic adventure to save the world

Jesse tells them about a wizard called Ivor who lives in Romeo's area who can help them, but the thing is they need to get things from the other two lords by defeating them. Which scares the living fuck out of the three

So off they go on the quest to kill gods and

MAYBE save the world

Jesse is mostly not with them fucking off from time to time to get them weapons and supplies to defeat the lords, None of them know how he does this and he's not telling anyone so they just think he's magic or something

(Just how I think different MCSM ships would work + my overall thoughts and opinons on them !!!

Jesse x Lukas

Jesse and Lukas are like the bread and butter of MCSM ships, very basic but beloved for their closeness and banter. Jesse, no matter which route you take or choices you make, is a more extroverted character that is a strong leader. Generally, Jesse cares very much about their friends and is a pretty friendly person. It's mostly up to how the person individually perceives Jesse, but the most common interpretation of Jesse I've seen in Jesskas is that Jesse learns to admire Lukas as they travel together. Lukas usually falls for them as well, but in the "He fell first they fell harder" kind of way, lukas being the former.

I've also seen some interpretations of Jesse having a little crush on Lukas at the beginning of MCSM because they think he's cool. Overall, I think Jesskas would be a pretty healthy ship.

The two of them admire each other, and they accentuate each other's strengths well! Jesse got Lukas out of his shell and pushed him to improve, and Lukas hyped Jesse up and helped them grow into the hero they were in season 2.

Lukas as a character in season 1 doesn't exactly have confidence. Though he does have faith in some of his own strengths, and is the most likely character out of Olivia, Axel, and Jesse to disagree with Jesse, he still is always trying to keep people happy and try to keep conflict to a minimum. Not being an aggressive character doesn't mean he won't stand up for himself when needed, though. Even though Lukas wasn't exactly the leader of the Ocelots, they still sort of listened to him and considered his opinions in a way, so Lukas could probably hold his own on Aiden in an argument. The reason Lukas didn't argue with them as much was most likely because he believed that the Ocelots could change, but when he was proven wrong the arguments became more frequent and he got kicked out.

Jesse and Lukas in season 2 are very clearly closer, and it seems like they'd been hanging out a lot more before everyone became too busy to see each other more often. Still, in season 2, Lukas is belittled by Romeo, who brings up his old insecurities. He sees through Romeo's disguise because he and Jesse always lift each other up and encourage the other to improve. Lukas also seems to be a character that would show affection through words - like cheering people on or subtle physical affection - like a high five and the ever so often hug. Jesse, Olivia, and Axel definitely have become his safe place after the Ocelots kicked him out.

The only real critisism I can think of for Jesskas is that there was a lot of mischaracterization of Lukas in the past, and still some in the present, along with it kind of overshadowing a lot of other characters and ships.

Jesskas is very overdone, but there's nothing wrong with that! It's cute, albeit very basic. I don't really ship it, but I see where people are coming from, and it has the potential to be very cute!

Jesse x Petra

Again, Jesse and Petra are a pretty basic, bread and jam type of ship. It's a little more complex than Lukas and Jesse, but not by much honestly. Petra is also a bit of a cool girl archetype, someone who's generally closed off from other people and doesn't like showing weakness due to fear of being seen as just that - weak. Only her weaknesses. She has trouble staying in one place for long or getting attached to things, but when she does, Petra holds on tight. While Lukas is just about as extroverted as Jesse, Petra is more introverted and selfish. She looks out for herself.

It's difficult to pin a characer for Jesse since, honestly, the different routes and such make it seem like every person who plays MCSM will get their own individual Jesse character. Also, because of lacking writing, which makes Jesse kind of has the amount of character of a peanut shell most of the time ... but I guess that again, that makes Jesse's character mostly up to individual interpretation. With Jesstra, I've noticed people seem to pin Jessie as a person that likes physical affection, so them and Petra tend to bond over fighting and sparring.

Petra is probably mostly averse to physical affection and touch - she seems more like someone who would do acts of service, being a mercenary and all. Jesstra seems like a ship where they would be sparring and flirt with each other through complimenting each other's moves + lovingly beating the shit out of each other. In a healthy way, though! After sparring, I think they would take care of any bruises or harm that was caused together.

When Petra was super closed off and mysterious, Jesse was the one to get her to start talking to more people. They were one of Petra's first really close friends, and that meant a lot to her. They were also the one that forced Petra to realize she couldn't stay stagnant forever and expect things to never change. She had to grow up and move on.

I can see the appeal with their compiments and banter during fights and sparring, as well as Jesse leaving Beacontown at the end of season 2 to go travel the world with Petra. A very healthy ship as well!

To be honest, we really need more focus on the smaller sapphic and wlw ships in the MCSM fandom, in my opinion. This ship probably is the gateway a lot of people get into those through, so I thank it very much for that. Not only that, but it's a pretty cute ship! Again, I don't exactly ship it, I don't really ship anyone with Jesse because I don't find Jesse that interesting.

As for faults with this ship, from what I've seen, the characterization of Petra is pretty good, but because Jesse is a lot less complex in comparison to her, it feels kind of empty on one side.

Anyways, I can definitely see where you guys are coming from! I personally do love dynamics like this one, so I think it's pretty good!

Jack x Nurm

Boy, oh boy, old man yaoi !! (just jokes, guys, please don't kill me). While Nurm speaks in villager, Jack is able to understand him completely fine. They both seem to have a very deep understanding of each other anyway. They give the vibes of adventurer husbands who traveled the world together in their youth. By now, they're pretty much done with adventuring and want to settle down together and live in peace. And they deserve it!

You can tell just by hearing them talk that they've spent many an adventure together, fighting alongside the other and tending to each other's wounds. If they have any child relatives, I'm sure they'll be the favorite relative just for the sheer amount of cool stories they can tell.

Jack has a lot of respect for Nurm as a cartographer, and Nurm respects Jack's physical strength. Nurm is probably more the brains of the two, more quick witted and smart. The only thing is, Jack is one of the only people who can really understand him. That probably got them to be much closer than any of their other party members, anyways.

Also, not to mention, they live together. They are married guys trust me. (You don't have to take that serious dw) The only thing I could possibly think of as critisism is that it's kind of weird that Nurm is a villagerx but he's proven that he's just as intelligent as any player, so it's fine. Besides, it seems like people have universally accepted that they are married or in love, at least, from what I've seen.

🤔 I don't have any opinion on them. I don't personally ship them because I love their friendship dynamics. I think Petra and Lukas make such a good team and that they work really well together. They're one of my favorite duos to write ngl 🤭 I always think of the beginning part of episode 6 where she and Lukas have the bet and also the running sequence leading up to the mansion. They work so well together and I really wish we got to see more of them interacting throughout the series. For Radar and Jesse?? I just see them as great friends and Radar really looks up to Jesse as like a mentor.

Anyways nothing against the ships. Everyones an adult and it isn't bully/murderer x victim so 🤷 idc

Where do I even begin? Axel is a WONDERFUL IN EVERYWAY. NO NOTES. Joking aside I love how loyal to his friends he is and how far he is willing to risk his life for them. Like, if you do not hit your QTE when he is around he will go out of his way to save you.

Least favorite thing about them

Whatever happened to him in the final season that made him more easy going when it came to genocide. Of all the people I was shocked Axel was reasoning Romeo should be spared.

Axel x Petra is my number one soring ship in the series. I love their chemistry, I love how he notices she is sick first outta everyone being kept in the dark, how he wanted to go back for her constantly and constantly worried about her when she is missing, withered or suffering amnesia.

I also do Axel x Blue and white striped shirt Jesse (Jesie) because Axel needs someone who can bring him back from whatever craziness he has gotten himself into. I'm also partial to Axelx Oliva because Brains/brawn , Dumbass/Sass trope got me good

June 24 update: I have no idea when this was made but I continued it and I just want this out of my drafts. Also I like the Jesses a lot.

March is deaf from birth so she teaches September how to use sign language

The name they chose for Aiden is blaze rod symbol (using two pointers and make it an X letter) and a thumbs down

June, July, and August are dyslexic

June and July don’t prefer reading so they make do with whatever they have

I’m saying mostly on August since the two felt more comfortable letting August read for them

They rely on August, mostly, and the other Jesses to read for them

August can read a couple of words but mostly the shorter and simpler ones

He prefers to type out words rather than to write it with his hand

April has a weak arm in her left from the Formidi bomb she has taken arm therapy to strengthen it

A Random Headcanon: He's not a bad guy, he just didn't know how to handle his emotions towards Lukas, Jesse's gang, and his own friends. He had never not been able to get what he wanted, and he thought he was the star of the show no matter what was happening and that he deserved to be known as a hero. Because of this, that's why he acted like he did in S1. He has to learn that everyone plays a part and social status and admiration aren't the only things to strive for.

General Opinion: I only like my version of him because everyone else's is ooc or horny for some reason. I like him well enough (despite his terrible writing in "Order Up!"), but I don't feel bad for sending him down the waterfall every playthrough. Bitch deserves it.

Aw, well thank you! I’m glad my older stuff is still enjoyable! I don’t really write drabbles for MCSM anymore because I kind of got burned out on it, but it’s been a while and I can still write headcanons. Plus, people have been making so much cool fanart for ancient-bird-demon’s AU, so I’ve got some ideas!

Alright, let’s get this angst train going. 

Instead of kidnapping either Petra or Jack to be his champion, Romeo’s too angry at all of them for cheating, so he sends Jesse, Petra, and Jack to the Sunshine Institute. 

Since he’s still throwing a tantrum, Romeo wants to hit Jesse where it hurts so he decides to grab someone else close to Jesse. His options are either Lukas or Radar since they’re close by. Romeo still thinks Radar is too much of a weakling to be useful, and Lukas is the first one to run back inside to the ice tower after hearing his friends screaming. 

When Lukas runs back inside, he comes face to face with the Admin and demands to know what he’s done with his friends. That’s when Romeo’s just like, “Yep. You’ll do.” He places the gauntlet on Lukas and teleports him away. When Radar and Lluna rush back in, he sends them to the Sunshine Institute.

Lukas is taken to this pocket dimension created by Romeo. It’s a floating island in the middle of some strange void. The only things on this island are a tiny cabin, a pond, and a battle arena. Romeo gleefully tells Lukas that this is his home now and he’s the new champion. Now of course, Lukas is like, “NOPE. Absolutely not.” But Romeo is, well, Romeo and tells him that he doesn’t have a choice.

Now, unlike Jack and Petra, Lukas isn’t the toughest combatant. That’s not to say he can’t fight, he’s a really good archer and decently skilled with a sword, but he’s been putting aside the adventurer life for his quiet writer life for a few years now, so his combat is a bit rusty. For this reason, Lukas questions Romeo as to why he picked him. Romeo tells him that it’s because he sees Lukas as a challenge. He wants to shape someone who’s not “champion material” into the perfect champion. So it’s almost like a game for Romeo. Plus, he mentions, he wants to see Jesse's face when they see Lukas as the champion instead of them. In Romeo's words, “Jesse will get so jealous and be begging to be my champion!”

Lukas points out the obvious, “No you jerk, Jesse doesn’t want to be your champion. Do you...KNOW Jesse at all?” Annnd that’s the first time Romeo uses the gauntlet to shock Lukas. Poor Lukas.

Over the next few days, Romeo tests Lukas by summoning monsters for him to fight in the arena. When that gets boring, he gives Lukas crazy puzzles and obstacle courses for him to solve. If he doesn’t cooperate, he gets shocked. These challenges go on for what feels like hours, and Lukas nearly collapses when Romeo finally lets him go back to the cabin to rest.

Eventually, Lukas puts his foot down and refuses to do anything Romeo says. Even after getting shocked, Lukas still refuses. So Romeo decides he needs to change his strategy. The next day, he summons Lukas back to the arena. But instead of monsters or a puzzle waiting for him, it’s...Jesse?! Now of course, it’s not the real Jesse, it’s a fake made by Romeo, but Lukas doesn’t find out until after he’s nearly killed by the fake Jesse.

From then on, every single challenge Romeo gives Lukas is fighting a fake Jesse. He mixes it up too. Sometimes he'll make the arena look like areas from their past adventures. For example, one day he makes it look like the building contest, another day it’s the White Pumpkin Mansion, another day it’s PAMA’s core, so on and on. Romeo kicks it up a notch by making fake copies of Lukas' other friends, like Petra, Axel, Olivia, Radar, or one time he even uses the former Ocelots, to watch the fights between Lukas and “Jesse” and taunt him.

As you can imagine, these “challenges” take a mental toll on Lukas. He knows that the Jesse he fights everyday and the friends cheering it on are fakes made by Romeo. He knows. But they feel so real, it hurts. So his coping method when he fights fake Jesse is to repeatedly mutter to himself, “It's not real, it’s not real, it’s not real...” He does this for the next few challenges, telling himself at night that the real Jesse is on their way to save him. Because of course they are, it’s Jesse. And Jesse has never let him down before, this time won’t be different...right?

In episode 3, if Petra is the champion, she mentions that Romeo took her to some weird dimension where time doesn’t move normally. So that applies here too. Time in the pocket dimension moves a lot slower than it does in the real world. So while it’s only been a few days for Jesse and company, for poor Lukas, it’s been weeks. And his hope of the real Jesse coming to save him is dwindling...

Then comes the fateful day. Lukas is summoned to a new arena. Strange, it doesn’t look like anywhere he’s been before. It looks like a prison. And there’s another fake Jesse in front of him, only they’re wearing an outfit that Lukas doesn’t recognize. And this fake is different. This fake looks more...scared. They're not attacking him like the fake Jesses usually do. And the fake versions of Radar, Petra, Jack, and Nurm keep shouting at him to stop. Weird. Very weird...

Soooo you’ve probably guessed it by now, Lukas is fighting the REAL Jesse this time and doesn’t know it. Despite how much Jesse keeps shouting at him to stop and that it’s really them, Lukas doesn’t listen. He’s convinced that it’s just another fake that Romeo's using to mess with him. Eventually, however, Jesse decides there’s only way to prove it to him. They toss aside their sword, run at Lukas, and hug him tightly. Lukas fights against the hug, but Jesse refuses to let go, and they softly tell him, “It's okay Lukas, it’s alright. It’s me. I’m here. I’m here.”

Then it finally clicks, it IS the real Jesse. Lukas drops his sword and hugs them back, apologizing profusely. It’s finally over. But of course, Romeo is MAD. So he does what he does normally in episode 3, he leaves them all to rot in the Sunshine Institute, transforms into Jesse, and leaves for Beacontown.

When Romeo's gone, Lukas collapses to the ground and breaks down crying. Jesse, Radar, and Petra rush over to him and hug him close, because THIS POOR GUY REALLY NEEDS A HUG, OKAY? They let him cry it all out for a while before they head to Prisoner X’s cell.

The rest of the adventure pretty much goes how it does in the normal game, save for a few details. For one thing, Lukas is EXTREMELY wary of Xara, because he doesn’t trust Admins after what he’s been through. Another thing is that Lukas sticks by Jesse's side for most of the adventure. He doesn’t want to be left behind out of fear that Romeo will snatch him up again and send him back to the pocket dimension. Jesse is understanding, but eventually they have to sit him down when they’re at Fred's Keep and talk about it with him.

After episode 5, with everything over and Romeo either gone or heading off for redemption, Lukas decides to move back into Beacontown with Jesse. Jesse gives him a while to relax and recuperate, and they eventually give Lukas a new notebook to write down his thoughts in.

Imagine the cabin scene in season two....but is Jesse×Lukas. What do you think would happen if you have headcannons?

Man, that one is hard, considering how that scene plays. But after thinking for a while, I came up with something.

I know you asked for headcannons, but it would be easier (and fun) to write a oneshot of this.

I haven’t wrote sutff in a long time, so I’m sorry if this isn’t that good. (Putting an undercut thing cause it’s kind of long)

Always there for you (Lukas x F. Jesse)

They were finally here, the place where the key to defeating Admin lays within the small cabin. Without wasting any second, Jesse and Lukas headed inside.

“Let’s hurry up and find that weapon, can’t be that hard to find, after all, this place is small,” Jesse said as she began looking in the only room of the cabin.

“Hey look at this” Jesse looked to an armor stand besides some book shelves “It’s just like the one we had at the treehouse”

“Oh, yeah, you’re right” Lukas said “Didn’t you always used to hit that thing with your sword?”

“I did, at least until someone broke it” Jesse frowned at the thought of it.

“Oh my god, I still remember the look on your face when Petra broke it!” Lukas tried his best not to burst out laughing “You started chasing her all over the place until she decided to go outside”

“Well, I told her to be careful! I had every right to be angry!” Jesse recalled, then went closer to one of the book shelves.

She grabs one book and looks at it with a soft smile.

“Hey Lukas, do you remember how we used to read almost everyday?”

“Of course, how could I ever forget? “Lukas started “Every night we would sit down and read together, sometimes you would ask me to read aloud a book while you just lay your head on my shoulder….It was such a nice feeling…” He smiled.

“Yeah….it was” Jesse said with a smile on her face, then looked around, her expression changed to a sad one “This place….it reminds a lot of the treehouse. Of how all of us used to spend time together there….What ever happened? We barely hang out nowadays….”

“Well, for starters, we have our own lives now, new responsibilities to tend to. You know better than anyone that we can’t do the things we used to do before” Lukas explained.

“I know….It’s just….Don’t you ever miss the old days? When used to go on adventures, traveled all over the world and found cool treasures?” Jesse asked.

“Sometimes….” Lukas started “If we put aside the near death experiences of our adventures, it was an amazing thing to do”

They remained silent for a moment. Things have changed a lot between all of them within a few years, will they even still be friends the more time passes by?

“Let’s just find that weapon and get out of here….” Jesse broke the silence.

It only took Jesse and Lukas a few minutes to find out there was a secret compartment under Xara’s bed. There was a book in it.

“Another journal from Fred” Jesse opened the book.

“What does it say?”

“Give me a moment” Jesse sat on a bed, cleared her throat and started reading.

“Dear Xara, if you're reading this, I’m already gone. I hid this in the one place I knew you would look for it. Fitting the key to ending all this would be here….where it all started.”

This is the key to defeating Romeo…”

“#Potato451” Jesse said confused.

“Wait, Potato? Did you read that right?” Lukas takes the book from her to see what it says “This is weird….hold on, there’s more on the next page”

"Take this word of passage and use it at the primary terminal. You can take away his powers and end this."

“Word of passage? Uh, I guess that’s the potato” Jesse commented, Lukas continues with the reading

“I still have hope for Romeo. He just wanted us to stay together...more than anything. I know that’s why he’s doing this. Maybe I’m being foolish but i need to know for sure before taking this step. Though I guess if you’re here, I got my answer.

Maybe someday we’ll be together again. Your friend, always...Fred.”

Jesse and Lukas had no idea what to say. The same Admin that has cause so much pain to many people, the one that has threatened their home and friends was once a nice person who only wanted to keep their friends together, unfortunately he did all of it the wrong way….

“Wow….I feel bad for them. This wasn’t easy…. for any of the admins” Jesse started “We thought the Admin was just a monster but, all he wanted to keep his friends together”

“Yet, he ended up killing one of his friends….” Lukas said dryly.

“I’m sure he didn’t mean to. He probably overreacted and just...acted without thinking, got controlled by his own rage….Just look around. Romeo did everything to preserve this place after the bedrocking. He probably feels guilty and has some regrets” Jesse said as she stood up from the bed.

“You have a point. This place is in good conditions. He would have destroyed this place if he didn’t care at all” Lukas pointed out.

“wait a moment….” Jesse gasped as realization had struck her “Isn’t this what Petra has been trying to do all this time? She-”

“She only wanted to keep us together….” Lukas continued “She didn’t wanted to lose us….”

“We are drifting away….just like admins did….”

“Jesse, this was something that was going to happen at some point, things change, but just because we don’t hang out as much as we used to, doesn’t mean we aren’t friends anymore”

“But that’s not how Petra sees it….” Jesse looked at the floor “How are we so sure that we won’t end up like the admins? They were so close too and look how it turned out ....”

“Jesse, look at me. Even if that happens, you have to know, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be by your side, no matter what” Lukas reassured her by holding her hands into his.

“Really?” Tears were starting to form in her face.

“Of course. And you wanna know why?” Jesse only looks at him, trying her best to hold back her tears. “Because you mean a lot to me Jesse, I deeply care about you, you’re everything to me”

That’s when Jesse couldn’t hold back the tears anymore and started crying. But she didn’t care, as she knew she could show her feelings near Lukas, their trust towards each other was that strong and big.

Almost immediately, Lukas embraced her in a hug to comfort her, as to let her know he was here, to make her feel safe and that no one will hurt her, not as long as he is here.

This is why she liked Lukas so much.

He was kind, sweet, understanding and many other things. She tried so hard no to fall for him, but that was almost impossible, and eventually just gave in.

“Lukas?” Jesse asked and he hummed in response “You mean a lot to me too” This made the blond smile.

Lukas looked back to the door, they needed to go back.

“Jesse, we have to go”

“Can we stay just for a little bit longer?” Jesse just wanted to enjoy this special moment for as long as she could, the rest of the world can wait a few more minutes.

“Of course” Lukas said.

The two of them stood like that, in each other's arms for a few more minutes. Just for a moment they want to forget about all the horrible things that happened, forget about everyone else and just enjoy their mutual company.

Knowing that Lukas would always be her side, made Jesse feel better. At least he was not going to leave her alone.

And she would do the same thing for Petra, no matter what or how far they’re, she will let her know she will always be there for her too and that she’s not going anywhere.
