Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes i do, that's how i started basically (i miss it a bit, recently i've not been in the mood much). i'd say that my smut is... unnecessarily long and emotional. i fully believe it's a great way to understand who a character is.

What’s the craziest one you’ve written? i wrote two - one was a castle x rizzoli and isles crossover about kate and maura together in college that i dnf-ed at a certain point. the second was this supergirl x rizzoli and isles crossover i'm still very fond of. i had so much fun writing that, and i still think it makes perfect sense :)

What are your writing strengths? i think... construction of the line as a whole, if that makes sense. i try to make the words flow well and sound nice together. also dialogue, showing emotions through little gestures, intimacy, and lately introspection.

What are your writing weaknesses? i can't for the life of me write descriptions. of anything. i hate adjectives. i also get hyperfocused on the dynamic between two characters and refrain from including anyone else. oh also worldbuilding/background stuff... i just don't care.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? i don't think i've ever included it. but if i had to, i would do it with my own language.

First fandom you wrote for? only italians will get this one... un medico in famiglia. i still remember the first time inspiration hit.

In the books Jon never fight face to face with Ygritte at the Wall unlike the show. In the show when Ygritte pointing her arrow to Jon but unable to kill him, Jon was actually happy to see her despite her wanting to kill him. In books he was commanding the battle from tower and have dilemma about shooting Ygritte. But we never shown what would have been if Ygritte gets hold on Jon. Would she killed him? Because she almost did when he left her. What do you think?

Sidenote: I was so annoyed after GoT when people tried to rewrite history and act like Jon killed Dany and Ygritte when, as you point out, in the show, Jon smiles at Ygritte and can't kill her! I guess it was easier to pretend he was a murderer of women/woman hater rather than admit Dany needed to be killed before she massacred more people but after they treated him the way they did in s7-8 I found that infuriating.

Anyhoo, Martin writes with a lot of room for us to draw our own conclusions. He doesn't outright say if it was Ygritte's arrow that got Jon:

"He lay on the ground afterward, clutching his prize and bleeding quietly, too weak to move. After a while, he realized that if he did not make himself move he was like to bleed to death. Jon crawled to the shallow stream where the mare was drinking, washed his thigh in the cold water, and bound it tight with a strip of cloth torn from his cloak. He washed the arrow too, turning it in his hands. Was the fletching grey, or white? Ygritte fletched her arrows with pale grey goose feathers. Did she loose a shaft at me as I fled? Jon could not blame her for that. He wondered if she'd been aiming for him or the horse. If the mare had gone down, he would have been doomed. "A lucky thing my leg got in the way," he muttered. (ASOS, Jon V)

In the show, Ygritte talks about killing Jon although the impression they gave the audience was that neither would have killed the other. Her words were presented in a way that conveyed she was extremely hurt by his betrayal, but when the opportunity came, she couldn't shoot him.

Book Ygritte was more vicious, more capable of killing Jon imo. She threatened him while he was with the FF and I don’t think it was entirely bluster. D&D romanticized their relationship overall which changed it’s purpose (and I don't think that was fair to Jon at all), but Martin is the one who gave them the soft send-off first, so even though they changed the lead-up, I didn't think it substantially changed their final moment:

He found Ygritte sprawled across a patch of old snow beneath the Lord Commander's Tower, with an arrow between her breasts. The ice crystals had settled over her face, and in the moonlight it looked as though she wore a glittering silver mask.

The arrow was black, Jon saw, but it was fletched with white duck feathers. Not mine, he told himself, not one of mine. But he felt as if it were.

When he knelt in the snow beside her, her eyes opened. "Jon Snow," she said, very softly. It sounded as though the arrow had found a lung. "Is this a proper castle now? Not just a tower?"

"It is." Jon took her hand.

"Good," she whispered. "I wanted t' see one proper castle, before . . . before I . . ."

"You'll see a hundred castles," he promised her. "The battle's done. Maester Aemon will see to you." He touched her hair. "You're kissed by fire, remember? Lucky. It will take more than an arrow to kill you. Aemon will draw it out and patch you up, and we'll get you some milk of the poppy for the pain."

She just smiled at that. "D'you remember that cave? We should have stayed in that cave. I told you so."

"We'll go back to the cave," he said. "You're not going to die, Ygritte. You're not."

"Oh." Ygritte cupped his cheek with her hand. "You know nothing, Jon Snow," she sighed, dying.

I’m torn. I think she is reckless and angry enough she would absolutely risk his life, so her letting an arrow fly that *could* kill him seems in-character, but if she had him dead to rights and knew if she fired he would die? I’m actually not sure. Jon genuinely cared for her well-being, she was more interested in possessing him I would say, but all the same, I am doubtful about her following through on her threats/making the call when there’s only one possible outcome. I guess I’m hesitantly on team, Martin wouldn’t have written Ygritte killing Jon?

(If this got sent twice I'm sorry, it was an accident!) You're the first person I've seen who likes the on foot missions in JoD. Thing is, if those had another purpose instead of "Kid got lost and needs to find the exit/NiGHTS" they could've been way better. Like how about... Reala interrupting your playtime and you need to avoid them in a giant maze. :D And if they get you it's a complete game over ('cause bye bye ideya). You put more work into your FFs than the writers put into this game, ngl.

I liked the concept more than the execution, honestly. It was a neat idea with a change in gameplay since JoD was so insistent on doing different levels (which is fair enough considering how gameplay light NiD was) even though bits of it could be really annoying. It could have been more interesting overall, yeah, but the ground-based perspective of the Nightopias was real neat. (Now if I could just disable the timer it would be great, free roam Nightopias please.)

Honestly I mostly just like the idea of wandering around Nightopias in general. For as much time as we spend in the dream world, we don't see much of them in the game it feels like. In NiD you barely see any of them even if you do free roam (some mares/laps are only accessible as NiGHTS, like the underwater section in Splash Garden), and there is evidence people have found in dummied out content for more on foot things so like. Yeah. (Also as a lucid dreamer myself who likes seeing weird cool dreamscape stuff, it feels underutilized in the series.)

A hide and seek or game over thing could be fun in short bursts, I think, from a gameplay standpoint. JoD really suffered from a rushed development cycle (if I'm remembering right the plan at the time was it to be on the modern consoles but then it got rushed out on the Wii) and you can tell, which is suffering.

tbf I have had a lot of years to sit on my concepts and ideas about this game compared to the original writers for it but thank you lol

Centro de Ciências do Mar apoia dois parques eólicos 'offshore' em Portugal

A minimização do impacto dos parques eólicos 'offshore' na flora e fauna marinhas é o objetivo de um acordo de colaboração assinado entre o MARE – Centro de Ciências do Mar e do Ambiente e a empresa IberBlue Wind.

Em comunicado enviado à agência Lusa, esta 'joint venture' especializada na promoção de projetos eólicos 'offshore' flutuantes, que opera no mercado ibérico, informou que “colaborará com o MARE no desenvolvimento de atividades científicas relacionadas com o estudo dos ecossistemas aquáticos, atividades de inovação, transferência de conhecimento e outras atividades de formação e de divulgação científica”.

O acordo é dirigido ao desenvolvimento de dois parques eólicos planeados pela IberBlue Wind para Portugal, ao largo da Figueira da Foz, no distrito de Coimbra, e de Viana do Castelo.

“A colaboração entre as duas entidades tem como objetivo estudar o potencial impacto dos parques eólicos 'offshore' na flora e fauna marinhas”, acrescentou.

O trabalho conjunto das duas entidades permitirá conceber “soluções que garantam a coexistência das instalações com o meio natural da zona de implantação das eólicas, reduzindo o seu potencial impacto sobre a população piscícola e promovendo a sustentabilidade da atividade pesqueira”.

A parceria abrange os projetos 'Botafogo', junto à Figueira da Foz, para um parque eólico com uma área prevista de 359 quilómetros quadrados (km2) e uma potência instalada de 990 megawatts (MW), e 'Creoula', nas proximidades de Viana do Castelo, com uma superfície de 413 km2 e uma potência instalada de 1.440 MW.

Em conjunto, segundo a nota, os dois projetos “poderão fornecer energia limpa” a mais d 1,6 milhões de habitações.

Na assinatura do acordo, participaram Pedro Raposo Almeida, diretor do MARE, e Enrique de Farago, Manuel Monteiro e Tiago Morais, em representação da IberBlue Wind, bem como os investigadores José Lino Costa e Bernardo Quintella, daquele centro científico, e Hugo Miranda, vice-diretor da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.

A IberBlue Wind é constituída pelas empresas espanholas Proes Consultores e FF New Energy Ventures, além do grupo irlandês Simply Blue, líder em energia eólica flutuante 'offshore'.
