And I guess discussion of some pretty upsetting theories, just in case you are not up for the angst today.

Ok, so, hear me out. The whole thing could have ended so much worse — we could have realistically had at least two deaths, at least one of them even permanent or at least long term. But it all ended well, relatively speaking — Luanda is coming back eventually, of that I have no doubt.

But to be honest, despite all the tragedy, it feels like it almost ended too well. And now I am suspicious (or at least my Covid-fever-tortured brain is).

What was happening to Laudna’s body when FCG cast “gentle repose”? What if Delailah’s control over Laudna grows not just when she takes levels in Warlock, but when she dies and crosses the threshold? What if what comes back isn’t actually Laudna? And one episode we’ll have it revealed and it will hurt so much worse than Rakshasa pretending to be Gilmore?

Imogen: “Laudna… what… why… how could… why?!”

Laudna: “Oh child, Laudna hasn’t been here for a very long time. You let her die on the streets of Bassuras… But I do treasure the time we’ve spent together since then”
