Hello again! I decided it was about time that I did a new, more polished wip introduction post. A re-introduction as it were. My last was, admittedly, bland and uninspiring. At least in visual design. I’ve been trying to get a little fancier with blog headers and such. So here goes nothing!!!

Title: One small step

Status: Partway through draft 3.

Characters: Isra Maxima, Cassie Barone, Finn Costen, Avery Stark, Ollie Bridger, and Val Galen. Plus a whole host of aliens!

Themes: Exploration, War, Friendship, LGBTQA+ relationships, Found Family, Aliens, Space, Romance, Love, Corruption, Politics (More to be added)

Genres: Young/New adult, science fiction

Summary: When a message comes from the stars to invite humanity to a summit of the United Galactic Senate in a garbled mishmash of human languages, it's suspected to be a joke. Even so, a band of six plucky and definitely crazy explorers are sent off into the great unknown to find out just what waits at the other end of the message. Things don't go as expected. Between the endless amount of secrets lurking in the shadows and sinister plots around every corner, surviving to the next day becomes that much harder. Every step leads to trouble of every kind. The universe just got a whole lot bigger and a lot more dangerous; humanity has to find its place, one small step after the other.

Extract: Valesk itself is a very different planet. The two habitable continents are dry and dusty for the most part, stretching out like massive sandy beaches among the bright blue ocean, dotted with tiny green patches that form a polka-dot pattern of forests, grasslands, and jungles among the savannahs. Tiny islands glimmer like jewels laid on a shimmering blue blanket. The other two continents are black and molten, rolling with clouds of ash and streams of hot lava from the rings of volcanoes form towering mountain ranges that spew pumice and sulphur. Even as they fly thousands of metres above the volcanoes, flakes of ash form a thin layer over the many small windows of the shuttle. It’s beautiful in its’ own way.

Title: The coming of the Queen

Status: Mostly just planning and the beginnings of an idea. Not much written for this yet, but I might focus on this one when I finish the first draft of One Small Step.

Characters: Iona - illegal fae challenger for the throne. Iona’s mother. Literally no other characters yet!

Themes: Rebellion, Revenge, LGBTQA+ relationships, War, Corruption, Fantasy, Loss of home, Royalty, Retaking a kingdom, Magic, Good vs. Evil, (more to be added)

Genres: Young/new adult, fantasy

Summary: Deep in the snowy mountains of Corenulla, lies the kingdom of Fallrona. Here any young adult may enter a series of challenges to earn the ultimate prize of ruling the kingdom for 25 years. But, for the past 300 years, the tyrannical Seonerars have ruled with an iron fist. Any threat to their power gets dealt with brutally and efficiently. Twelve years ago, they succeeded in destroying the last fae stronghold in Fallrona. But now the Seonerars’ actions are finally going back to haunt them. Iona is a young fae woman with only one goal in mind: revenge. She’ll stop at nothing to restore her people’s pride and remove the Seonerars from the equation. Permanently.

Extract: Being killed would be a fair better fate than many of the fae have received; Iona’s own grandmother was taken to be drained of her blood in the misguided belief that drinking fae blood ensues longevity. All it ensues is the wrath of the butchered fae’s family, much like Iona has sworn vengeance on the family that stole away her grandmother. She’ll have their heads for it.

There’s just one small problem. The humans in question are the current rulers of the kingdom and despite the tradition of a new ruler every twenty years – the winner of the challenge – they have been ruling for almost three hundred years. But this year, the throne will be hers. Any young adult can enter the challenges and Iona, despite her fae blood, is also a member of the kingdom. She might just a scrappy young woman from a backwater village, but she’s also fae. She can do this. She has to. Her people are counting on her.

Title: Treasure across the sea

Status: Mostly planning. Some chapters written through the power of pantsing.

Characters: Princess Orla Niamh Foy (Quarter-siren, quarter-fae, 100% better than you), Captain Sam (pirate scourge of the West Islands and the Ruby Sea), Lia Basker, Princess Tempest Storm-wielder, Count Aleksandr III, Lady Malia, Crown Scion Cameron.

Themes: Piracy, Adventure, Royalty, Myths, Legends, LGBTQA+ relationships, Survival, Ancient evil, Magic, Fate, Power, Ancient maps, (more to be added)

Genres: Young/new adult, fantasy, adventure

Summary: Orla is everything a princess shouldn’t be: impulsive, reckless, and too adventurous for her own good. With both siren and fae blood within her, she’s always been called to the wide sea and sprawling forests of her home country. Her life is simple and it’s hers. But when an old friend comes knocking, Orla is swept into events far stranger than she’s ever had to deal with before. Could this be the adventure that breaks her? Or will she come out of it stronger than ever before?

Extract: It hits Orla then: everyone here is related to the original seven royal families that stood against the last Shadow King and sealed his treasure away. Their blood has power. The seven of them are links to the distant past, bridging the gap between history and things yet to be. This cannot be a coincidence. Perhaps the blood of the originals is needed to access where the Shadow King’s treasure is. Sam gathered them together for a reason, and it’s not for their pretty faces or special talents. No, this is about the blood in their veins. How curious.

Title: Spes super sydera

Status: 22 chapters in and I’ve just won NaNoWriMo 2023 with this. Nearly 50000 words added to it (a few of my NaNo words were from One Small Step and The Adventures of Lara and Theo but less than 2k because I ended up only focusing on the one thing after all.)

Characters: Most of them only have first names at the moment but a few have last times too: Eloise Martins, Imogen Van Arkel, Benedict, Dom, Charlie, Rebecca, Maria, Mirabella, Mavis, Jimmy, Aamir Kumar, Nadiya Awad, and a host of other side characters.

Themes: Sci-fi, space, space travel, conspiracies, mystery, strange disappearances, desire to uncover hidden truths, LGBTQA+ characters, (more to be added)

Genres: Sci-fi, adventure

Summary: Eloise Martins wants to be an astronaut. There are several reasons for this but one of these reasons is that her dad went missing on a deep-space mission and no one will tell her anything about it. She wants the truth. She needs it.

So she does what any sensible person would do: pushes herself to be the most exceptional candidate she can and signs up for astronaut program at her dad’s place of work. While studying to qualify as a pilot and an engineer, she hunts down any information to do with her dad and that final mission. Eloise will stop at nothing to achieve justice for her dad and all the missing astronauts and maybe, just maybe, bring them all home--dead or alive.

Extract: On the mind-numbingly grey wall across from her, a retro clock ticks and tocks loud enough to wake the dead. It’s a strange thing to have these days. Most people have holo-clocks and even physical digital clocks are going increasingly out of fashion; an analogue clock is a bizarre thing to use in a building as advanced as this. Even if it is a waiting room. The International Centre for Aerospace Engineering and Exploration is nothing short of a technological marvel, filled to the brim with the latest and greatest inventions, oozing with innovation, and the workplace of many of the greatest minds humanity has ever seen.

If you can think of it, ICAEE probably has it. For some reason, that includes old-fashioned clocks as well as the fastest planes and spaceships ever created.

The waiting is no doubt part of the test process. Eloise knows that. Her father told her as much and after years of listening to his and his colleagues’ exploits both at ICAEE’s academy and on interstellar missions, she’s almost more familiar with the ICAEE qualification process than the examiners themselves. Almost. Some things have changed since her father’s day and the tolerance of purple hair seems to be one of them. No one has ever commented on the colour. The legacy of her father may have something to do with that; the speed and excellence with which Eloise has ploughed through the astronaut program might be the other reason. If she’s right, then she has qualified in record time. The examiners, waiting through a set of dull grey doors at the left-hand side of the room, will assess her one last time before declaring their judgment. But Eloise is certain. She will be an astronaut before the day is up.

Met echt bestaande teams, beroemde internationale spelers en ongelooflijk realistische physics is dit de perfecte manier om je ultieme fantasiewedstrijden waar te maken. Spyro's platformavonturen zijn synoniem met PlayStation, dus als je kinderen zijn vurige avonturen de eerste keer hebben gemist, heb je nu geen excuus meer. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is volledig geremasterd voor PS4 en geeft een pittige make-over aan de drie grootste avonturen van de serie: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! en Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Ratchet & Clank is een update van de originele PlayStation 2-game voor het huidige tijdperk, wat 'm een perfect beginpunt maakt voor kinderen die zin hebben in een ruimte-avontuur. Een groot deel van de lol in Ratchet & Clank komt door het waanzinnige arsenaal dat je ter beschikking hebt. Yooka Laylee gebruikt de stijl van de verzamelgames van vroeger maar met een moderne afwerking. De onvergetelijke personages, pakkende muziek en kleurrijke absurditeit maken het tot een geweldige combinatie. Nog leuker wordt het met de coöpmodus waarin een tweede speler kan helpen door vijanden uit te schakelen en voorwerpen te verzamelen. Perfect voor jongere gezinsleden. Minecraft Spelers: 1-4 Gemiddelde speeltijd: ontelbaar veel uren, maar je kunt makkelijk aansluiten en weer stoppen Leeftijdsclassificatie: 7+ Intensiteit: 3/5 - afhankelijk van de moeilijkheidsgraad Als je het kunt bedenken, dan kun je het bouwen. Verzamel je familie blokkenpersonages, verzamel materialen en verken deze procedureel gegenereerde sandbox. Maar zorg wel dat je een dak boven je hoofd hebt als de avond valt en de Creepers buiten komen spelen. Chapter 1

Monday, January 5th 2015, 8:30am Noordeinde Palace, The Hague, Netherlands

Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Orange will be representing His Majesty King Willem-Alexander for the Royal tour this year.

The Princess of Orange will be touring the United Kingdom for 14 days.

The Princess of Orange is excited to spend time with her Godmother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Princess of Orange will be staying at Buckingham Palace during her stay in London, Balmoral Castle when in Scotland and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.

The Princess of Orange will be posting on her royal highness' official twitter and instagram page before and during her tour.

"I think that should do it." Princess Arabella said as she finish reading the subsequent tweets that announce this year's royal tour. "Thank you Adam." she thanked her press secretary for the announcement. "Hopefully we'll get some positive responses." Turning to her private secretary, Jane, "Let's start our itinerary for the trip shall we? Please take out the catalogue as well, we need to see which jewellery to bring."

"To start off, the royal tour will kick start in March 11th and it will end on the 25th. You'll be greeted by the Prime Minister, David Cameron at the Tarmac along with the press and a few members of the public. You'll have a 15 minutes walkabout and then you'll be having lunch with the Queen and her family. After lunch is free and that night you'll have a state dinner at Buckingham Palace." Jane said the itinerary for the first day.

"Yes, I will be wearing the Rose Cut Diamond Bandeau for the state dinner, but bring the Laurel Wreath Tiara as well for back up. Make sure Eva pick a selection of dress and outfits to wear for the trip by Wednesday if possible. I want to be able to choose and pack asap."

"Yes your highness. I will also forward the tiaras selection as well as the outfits once its finalised to Julia so she can plan the makeup and hair." Jane said as she wrote it down in her tablet.

"We have been liaising with Her Majesty The Queen's security details as well as Scotland Yard to go over the security measures. Everything is on track and if anything were so to happen, you will be escorted to a bunker nearest to your location. All locations you are to visit or go have been checked out and will be checked out again nearer to the day. Every possible exit and entry has been thought out and barricades will be made once you’re there. MI-5 and MI-6 agents will be spread out undercover when you're outdoors and all personnel's have been checked." Arabella’s head of security Finn reported.

Two hours later and the meeting was finally over. They’ve gone through so many scenarios and finalize their schedules so that all that's left to do is to actually go on the tour. Standing up, Arabella said her thanks to everyone and walked back to her office. Once she entered the office, she took a deep breath and sat down on her really comfortable chair.

While checking on her emails and her charities, someone knocked on her office door once before opening it. It was a custom to do that here, whenever a royal member was in a room, closed door or not, the staff will knock once before entering the room. It was a sign as respect and it was easier without her having to say come in all the time.

Her butler, Pieter, who goes everywhere with her, stepped into the room and announce one of her ladies in waiting with a bow. "Ms. Sara your highness." With another bow, he exited the room. It was tradition that whoever visited her, or wanted to speak with her, they would be announced first by her footman or as you can say, butler. That's why Pieter, the fifty something year old man, have worked with her for years, since she was eighteen and took up more royal duties.

"Your Royal Highness" Sara spoke with a small curtsy. Once she have straightened up, she came closer to where Arabella was sitting and gave her a document of papers. On that document were her day to day activities for the month.

Arabella, also known as the Princess of Orange or as the crown princess of the Netherlands, has an army of entourage, there to make her lives easier and would require to go everywhere with her. Her private secretary, Jane, is the one who arranges meetings and all the important royal stuff. However, her ladies in waiting, Sara and Anna, were the ones who schedule her days, whether it will be with lunch or meetings or even her royal duties etc. Without Sara or Anna, her life would not be as systematic or as organised as it is, which is an important thing as she is a senior member of the Royal family and is the heir apparent.

"Your Highness, your schedule for this week starting today is as follows, Monday 05/01/15 - 2:15pm, meeting with parliament 5:30pm, high tea with Her Majesty, Queen Maxima 8:30pm, dinner with hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg Tuesday 06/01/15 - 9:00am, breakfast with the prime minister 1:30pm, lunch with HRH Prince Henry of Wales 5:00pm, afternoon jog/walk at the palace gardens 8:30pm, Dinner with HRH Prince Henry of Wales Wednesday 07/01/15 - 7:00am, morning jog 11:30am, brunch with Children's Peace Foundation 5:30pm, tea Thursday 08/01/15 - 10:00am, visit the Centre for Safety and Development 8:30pm, dinner with His Majesty The King and family Friday 09/01/15 to Sunday 11/01/15 - Birthday Weekend retreat to the Alps joined by HRH Prince Henry of Wales, HRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, HRH Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg, HRH Princess Madeleine and her husband, Christopher O'Neill, Ms Charlotte Casiraghi and Mr Gad Elmaleh.

The following week after your return from the Alps, there will be many celebrations of your 30th birthday ma'am. That includes a parade on Monday, a portrait reveal on Tuesday, a press conference and photo op with international and national television on Wednesday, State dinner on Thursday, a new hospital wing in honour of your name on Friday, a charity concert celebrating your birthday on Saturday and a charity football match on Sunday, Your highness."

Reading through the papers and the additional information given for each event, she signed the confirmation document before handing it back to Sara to be processed. That was how it works here, the schedules are just rough drafts that is acceptable to change. Once she'd been briefed, she would put in Arabella’s input, whether she want to do the engagement or not before signing the confirmation document. Once she'd signed that, the schedule will be sent to the communication's department to be written out and put out to the public. It will be a concise version and only official engagements will be added in. This way, the Dutch press will have a few days' notice to send their designated photographers on those events. It is known that there is an agreement with the press and the royal family in the Netherlands, that while we are working, they have every right to take pictures and film, however, during our private time, they are not allowed to take pictures.

"Is that all Sara?" Arabella asked her lady in waiting, going over my schedule once again.

"Yes your highness." She then did a small curtsy again before going out the door.

It was eleven thirty when Sara was done briefing her about her engagements and fifteen minutes later, Pieter knocked on the door again before coming inside.

"Lunch will be served at 12pm your royal highness and your glam team will arrive there at 12:45pm to get you ready for the parliament meeting." with a bow, he then exit the room and Arabella was left to finish up on her paperwork about her charities before she need to go to the dining room.

Right now, She was at the Noordeinde Palace at The Hague. That's where all the royal offices are located just like how in the UK, their offices are at St. James palace. They generally like to keep their offices at the same place so all their meetings will be held here. Of course they have their own private offices at home but this is where typically most of their staff works.

Her father, King Willem-Alexander's office is located at the Ring, which is at the centre of the palace, her step-mother, Queen Maxima's office is located at the West wing and her offices are located in the East wing. Joint meetings and offices for the three of them is located at the ring as well. There is only three offices in this palace as her half siblings are only eleven, nine and six years old. Right now, all the announcements or anything important will come from her father's or step-mother's offices, however, once they have grown up and have their own offices, it will all be located at the West wing together with her step mother as they are not in direct line of the throne if she were to have children. That is if they decide to have a royal public life.

This is how the line of succession will go, her father is the King. As a first born, Arabella will be the first in line and heir to the throne. Right now, her sister Amalia is second in line, while Alexia is third and Ariene is fourth in line to the throne. At fifth in line to the throne is her uncle, Constantijn, followed by her cousins Eloise, Claus-Casimir and Leorore respectedly. And finally, the last in the order of succession is her great aunt, Margriet, who is Oma's sister. (Oma is what she call her grandmother, Beatrix)

When the clock strikes twelve, Pieter knocked and announced that the food is ready. With a sigh, she saved my work before shutting off the computer and putting the important documents where they should be. Standing up, she walked out the door and turned left. Walking down the hall, she turned right before going into the second door on her left, which is the dining room.

Sitting at the head of the table, food quickly got out from the side door and was served promptly. After the delicious three course meal, Arabella stepped out of the dining room and went back to the hallway. A few doors down was her dressing room and usually where her glam team would prep her if she was at Noordeinde Palace and are needed for an engagement.

When the clock strikes quarter to one, Pieter knocked on the door before announcing the glam team, or as she likes to call them, the glam squad. They are there to make her look good and look poised and as regal and all that fun stuff. Arabella can do her own hair and makeup as well as pick her own clothes. However, if she were to do that, her hair would be in a braid, with minimal makeup and wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Something not appropriate for the crown princess to be seen in Public.

"Your Royal Highness, Mr. Issac, Ms. Eva and Ms. Julia has arrived. Do I let them in Your highness?" Pieter asked.

"Yes yes, let them in. If anyone would like to reach me, connect the line. I don’t have my phone with me right now Pieter." She told him.

"Yes Ma'am." He said before bowing and leaving the room. Not a second later, the three musketeers knocked on the door before entering. Each of them bowing and curtsying in respect before moving closer towards her.

"Madam Arabella, How are you?" Issac asked. He's there to do her hair. I swear he is such a hair god, he can make her birds nest of a hair look amazing.

"I am well thank you Issac, what look are you doing for me today?" She likes to ask and chat with her stylists and make conversation during their time together. That way, they bonded and she feel comfortable with them. She didn’t want to be that person who doesn’t like to talk to them and just sit there and play with their phones like a spoiled brat.

Before working with Arabella, Issac was a freelance hair stylist that works on mostly bridal hairstyle. When she turned 18, he was 25 and was looking for a more permanent job. She sat through a lot of interviews with many hairstylists doing her hair the same kind of style, and each of them either is too flamboyant, used too much hairspray, made her look old or just plain nervous. When Issac came in, he greeted her with a bow, asked her how she was that morning and calmly did her hair. While he was working on Arabella’s hair, he kept the small talk. She didn’t feel any harsh tugging or any pulling. Once he was done, he gave her a mirror and asked her what she thinks. It was the same hairstyle that has been done by various other hairstylist, some who have done other royals before, but it looked amazing. It was the same simply hairstyle, yet he added his own twist to it that made it unique and amazing. That was when she knew she had to keep him. He's been with her ever since.

"I was thinking of doing some lose curls and just let it fall naturally. Since it's only a parliament meeting, I don’t want to overdo it." Issac said as he start shampooing her hair. The dressing room we have is one that is like a salon and spa. It has one of those seats where there's a sink and chair so you can wash your hair and all that stuff.

"Madam Arabella, your skin is absolutely glowing this morning!" Her makeup artist Julia exclaimed. "Perhaps we should keep it natural today."

"Anything is fine." she said

Arabella met Julia when she had an even in the UK when I was 16. It was a state dinner, and at that time Oma wanted to bring her along. It was a really fancy event so she had to have a makeup artist to do my makeup. Her hair was done by Oma's hair stylist at the time. They clicked instantly and Arabella love how Julia knows her skin type and what works. She doesn’t make her look cakey and she always look flawless and glowing at the end of the session. Immediately, whenever she have events or even a dance at school, she would call her and ask her to do the makeup. Once Arabella turned 18, she hired Julia permanently to be her makeup artist.

"As for your outfit today, I was thinking of something nude but still chic and regal." Her stylists, Eva said.

Eva has been her stylist since she was ten years old and her mother had just passed away. She had been there for her when she went on her first date, her mother's funeral and everything in between. She is the only person Arabella would trust with her outfits as she knows her style and respects me if I didn’t want to wear what she had suggested.

An hour later and she was ready to go.

The meeting with Parliament took a few hours and it was half past four by the time she has finish and is on her way home from Binnenhof.

Arabella was really tired and have a pounding headache from that meeting with parliament. Since she became heir apparent in 2013, it was her duty to represent her father in parliamentary meetings. The more important ones that decides the fate of the country are the only ones that her father attends. Monthly meetings and others are the ones that she is required to attend. Don’t get her wrong, she loves being a part of all these decisions and having her input put into consideration, but most of the time, these meetings are extremely boring and usually there isn't much to discuss. The monthly meetings are just to keep each party informed about what the other is doing that month and to keep the royal family in the loop of everything. Since she's turning 30 next week, this particular meeting was about her finally settling down and get married. Of course they knew that she was in a relationship with Harry for three years now but the topic of marriage hasn’t been in the conversations yet.

Both families have known about the relationship and how serious they are in each other. It's mostly just a matter of WHEN he would propose, not if. Since Harry's turning 30 later this year, Arabella is sure that he's getting some talks about marriage soon enough. She would very much like it if they were to get married, its just he would have to sacrifice more than she would since she is heir and not fourth in line.

Once she does marry, she still have to go to these boring parliament meetings but at least she would have someone by her side to make things less boring for her.

Speaking of Harry, her phone was ringing in her clutch so she took it out and accepted the call.

"Pinky's Pleasure Palace…. What's your pleasure?" I answered the phone in a low voice, hopefully coming across as seductive.

"I really hope you know who you answered the phone to and not just answering them with that line all the time." she heard a deep voice chuckle on the other line.

"Of course I knew who was calling ginger. Can you imagine me answering the phone like that to aunty lilibet?" She laughed, relaxing to her seat.

"How was your day love?" Harry asked on the other line. Arabella could hear some rustling of papers on the other line.

"It was long. Had a meeting this morning with my advisors on the tour this year. We've set a date and the place where we will be going." she said smiling to herself. I wonder if he knows or not. He probably does. The announcement was made while I was in the parliament meeting. She thought.

"Really? Where will you be off to this year Your Royal Highness? Can I guess that you'll be with your charming boyfriend for two weeks?" he ask slyly on the phone.

"Are you? Spending my engagements and travel with me? Oh Harry, is it true?" She asked him hopefully. It really would be amazing to have him with me on the tour. Especially for her to see whether or not he is cut out for this life. Being crown prince is different from being third in line to the throne like he has been his entire life. He was the spare. He knows he will never be in King one day. Arabella on the other hand has been raised, bred and breathed being the heir. She was in William's place growing up, when her Oma was still Queen. She knew what to do once her father becomes king and what responsibility she has.

"Yes. Granny thought it would do me good to be with you on your engagements. Of course there are some engagements I'm not going and even if I am, its mostly as a guide and also to accompany you during your tour. Do you have your schedule for the tour yet?" he asked excited to be able to spend two weeks with his other half, even though most of the time she would be working.

"No not yet, Jane, Adam and Finn are finalising the technical part of the tour before passing it over to Sara and Anna to work out the schedule part of the trip." She shrugged looking out the window, seeing the greenery pass by.

"I tend to forget that you have an army of people doing your work and a whole bunch of protocols and process you need to follow. Whenever Granny sends me for a tour, her office is usually the one planning the trip and I just show up and look pretty." Harry laughed on the other line.

"Yes well, my office has been trained to do this for forever so I think I'm used to it I guess."

"What else did you do today Bel?" He asked. It was quiet on his end of the line meaning to say that he was paying attention to her now and not multi-tasking.

"I got a briefing for this week as well as my birthday celebrations the following week. January is always been a busy month, its mostly meetings about the upcoming year, events and all that. I also had a parliament meeting this afternoon. Actually, I'm on the way from Binnenhof to Huis ten Bosch. It was really boring. They brought up marriage again. Saying things like, I'm not getting any younger, I need to have an heir before I turn forty. Stuff like that. I just told them that when we're ready, we're ready." Arabella ranted to Harry. It was really annoying for her to have the parliament try and control her life. Not that they have any power against her or anything, really, she can do as she pleased as long as its legal. It just gets really frustrating for her when the parliament thinks they can control her. News flash, no one can control her, and her father will be damned if he let them pressure her into doing something she doesn’t want to do. "Anyways, I'm on my way to have tea with Maxima now, and tonight I'm having dinner with Guillaume at some restaurant I don’t know where."

"I see." Harry said lowly. Since he was turned thirty last year, his grandmother and the office have been pressuring him to get married as well. only in his case, they can control his life and will probably make him do something for the better of the family. Lately, they're ratings have been low, due to Kate not doing much public engagements and the press not seeing enough of George in public. The Family's rating have been dropping and if he doesn’t do anything soon, he was afraid what would happen. Arabella on the other hand, has been a total star the past two years, stepping up as heir of the throne and doing everything she possibly could to please the public yet keep to herself. In a way he was jealous of how the press is over there and wish that the agreement they had with the press would be the same in the UK as well.

"My flight is leaving tomorrow morning at 9am. I should be there around 11am." he said on the phone.

"hm, I have breakfast with the PM tomorrow morning at nine. After that I'm all yours. What did you do today love?" She asked him, seeing as they have 10 minutes left of the journey.

"Not as busy as you were Bel. I just have a few meetings about Sentebale and also about the Invictus games next year." He said.

"Oh, no engagements today?" she asked him.

"Nope. I don’t have one until towards the end of January so for the next two weeks, I'm all yours." he said on the other side.

"Are you serious? You're not joking are you Henry? You mean to tell me that you're staying for my birthday celebrations? All the events? Have Aunty Lilibet gave you permission. Please say she has, I don’t want you to get into trouble." Arabella said with hope in her voice.

"Yes. I am serious Bella. She was the one who suggested that I stay there since I was there already." he said over the phone. Harry knew why he was staying there for her birthday celebration. It was a surprise so he wasn’t going to tell her why.

"Oh Harry! That's wonderful news. I can't wait to see you tomorrow. Will you be staying with me?" She asked him smiling.

"I know love. Yes, I am staying with you, I hope you don’t mind."

Arabella could see Huis Ten Bosch in the distance as she was approaching the gates. "Harry, I've got to go love. I'll see you tomorrow okay? I’ll have Pieter and Mina prepare your suite for you. Barend will pick you up from the airport tomorrow, so look out for him will you?" Arabella asked.

"I will love. Take care. I love you." Harry said on the phone.

"I love you too Charming." She replied before hanging up. Arabella turned to put her phone back inside the purse and looked up to the front seat, which was occupied by Markus, her driver and Finn, her protection officer.

"Finn, isn't it exciting? Harry spending two weeks here as well as attending my birthday events. I hope he got what it takes, I'll be so heartbroken if he's not cut out for the job." She sighed in her seat.

"I'm sure he will be the right man for the job ma'am." Finn replied

"Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Orange, Princess Arabella of the Netherlands, your majesty."

Maxima was in her sitting room watching the news when Arabella got there.

She just changed her outfit quickly when she got there and pulled her hair into a ponytail. It was a semi-formal event so there was no need for her to wear her skin tight dress.

When Arabella was within two feet of her step-mother, Maxima, she gave a small curtsy of respect for her queen. Once she was standing straight again, she quickly gave Maxima a hug and kissed her cheeks.

"How are you today mija?" Maxima asked her as she holds her step daughter at arm's length, checking her over to see if she was okay.

"I'm doing okay mama," Arabella started calling Maxima mama when she was sixteen years old. It was one of those days that she wanted to be a normal girl and not second in line to the throne. It was an emotional day and Maxima was there to console her soon-to-be step-daughter. Maxima told her that being normal is not that much fun. How she should be lucky to be a royal and be proud of herself that her voice is heard at such a young age. It was then that Arabella knew, Maxima will never replace her mummy, but she will be her mama. One who would love her unconditionally and will help shape her into a strong beautiful woman.

"I'm happy to hear that my dear." Maxima smiled. "Come, let's have tea and catch up." She beckoned her eldest to the couch where their tea sat waiting to be poured.

Once they each have their tea in their hands, they caught up with each other. Arabella would always try to find time in her busy schedule to meet with her step-mother every week if possible. She needed to tell her everything that that’s going on and what she should do. She always goes to Maxima for advice because Maxima will always be the voice of reason in Arabella. Her father on the other hand is always the goofball teddy bear and wouldn’t know how to advice the young girl at all. Follow your heart, he would say. That doesn’t help anybody Arabella thought.

Arabella told Maxima about the upcoming weeks as well as the royal tour to the UK. She also told Maxima how excited she is to spend her birthday with Harry and how he's staying for the duration of her Birthday week. She also told Maxima about the parliament being pushy and pushing her to marriage when she doesn’t know if Harry is fit for this life or not.

"I mean, I know that he's no common boy, but he's always been so carefree you know mama. He's one of those people that jokes around and make everyone laugh. He doesn’t like all those political stuff and you know how he doesn’t want to be king. He could see the stress of it in William and had assured himself he would never be king. By marrying me, he would have to sacrifice so much. He wouldn’t be able to spend much time with family, he will be three hours away, he would have to spend Christmas and other holidays here instead of England. I don’t know if I could do that to him mama. I don’t think I can take his freedom away." Arabella spoke. Her heart broke just thinking of not being able to spend the rest of her life with Harry. He was her anchor, the one who keeps her from losing her mind and staying down to earth.

"I don’t think that's your choice mija. He knows what he signed up for when he got to know you back in 2011. He definitely knows what he was doing in 2012 when he asked you to be his girlfriend. I don’t think he would have stayed this long if he is not cut out for this job. Mija, he has grown up thinking he was third in line to the british throne. He has grown up treated as a spare. He knows that you will be Queen one day, he knows what he signed up for. Trust your heart Mija. It knows what's important. Do you want a life with him mija? To grow old together and have kids?" Maxima asked her daughter.

"of course I do mama. I dream of that all the time. I don’t think I can see anyone else to be with than him." Arabella confessed.

"Then you have nothing to be worried about Mija." Maxima smiled at her eldest daughter. Even though Arabella was not her biological daughter, Maxima would always think of her as one of her own. She saw her mija grew up from an awkward teenager to a beautiful woman and she couldn’t be more proud.

"Now, tell me how you feel turning thirty." Maxima asked smiling at her daughter. No matter what happens, she is proud to call her, her daughter.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Two hours later and she was done with tea and caught up with Maxima. She then went up to her room in the west wing of the palace and got ready for her dinner with Guillaume. She hasn’t seen him in ages as they are quite busy people.

She was super tired from the day but knew that this was only the beginning. She could feel it in her gut that her year will only get busier as it pass on.

As we reach the end of the decade, it’s obvious that techno is fast becoming the dominant form of dance music across the world. This year saw the rise of the phrase “business techno” (coined by Shifted in 2018), a description widely used to ridicule the kind of monotonous, one-note bangers that dominate the setlists of big room DJs. It’s a catch-all term that nonetheless lays bare an uneasy truth: techno is now big business, especially in the US, where it is quickly filling the vacuum left by the collapse of the EDM bubble.

Although the rise of commercial techno events and the incursion of Eurocentric line ups like last month’s Time Warp event in New York and October’s Secret Project in LA threaten to homogenise US dance culture in a similar way to EDM, this year has proven that the country is full of talented and overlooked producers pushing house and techno forwards. Flint’s Huey Mnemonic, for example, offered his own take on the Midwest template, while Ilana Bryne used her experience in the ’90s rave scene to craft some of the year’s most exciting tracks. In NYC, the meteoric rise of AceMo and MoMa Ready proved that a seemingly endless supply of killer tracks, a Bandcamp page and word of mouth is enough to cut through the noise.

Elsewhere in the world, Facta’s Wisdom Teeth label and its close-knit circle of artists has delivered rhythmically inventive music across the year. Local Action’s India Jordan and Finn reinvented the vocal anthem in their own image, while Special Request, 96 Back and Bonka twisted electro into new forms. And artists like False Witness, Quest?onmarc, Rush Plus and Cera Khin pumped new life into the techno banger. Even Joy Orbison, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of ‘Hyph Mngo’ this year, proved he’s still full of ideas.

As was the case last year, these 50 tracks barely begin to dig into the year in house and techno, so check the past year of columns for more listening.

Aventura reprezinta calatoria dinspre siguranta spre pericol si inapoi. In povestile clasice de aventuri, aventurierul pleaca de acasa, intampina mari pericole pe care le depaseste si se intoarce, in cele din urma, mai intelept si mai bogat decat era. Dupa experimentarea unei aventuri, vechile moduri de gandire si de traire nu mai sunt posibile. Odiseea de Homer – lista ar putea incepe cu Ivanhoe a lui Walter Scott sau cu Robinson Crusoe al lui Defoe, insa Odiseea, desi este un poem epic si nu roman, este considerata ca fiind o cale potrivita de a incepe marea aventura a lecturii. Ca personaj simbol al aventurierului, Ulise este greu de invins, iar aventurile lui sunt atat de palpitante, incat merita lecturate.

2. Calatoriile lui Gulliver de Jonathan Swift – acest roman este de fapt o satira sociala. Swift utilizeaza cuvintele pentru a creea o alta imagine asupra politicii, stiintei, a religiei, a naturii umane, in general.

3. Moby-Dick de Herman Melville – naratiunea se desfasoara intr-un cadru exotic, de calatorie periculoasa pe apele marii, iar personajele sunt atat de bine puse in valoare incat actiunea va va captiva cu siguranta.

4. Comoara din insula de Robert Loius Stevenson – povestile piratilor au un loc special si privilegiat in actiunea de aventura, iar aceasta carte este un exemplu pur al genului.

5. Aventurile lui Tom Sawyer si Huckleberry Finn de Mark Twain – in cele mai multe povesti de aventura pamantul reprezinta siguranta si protectie, iar apa reprezinta un pericol, dar in acest roman, Twain inverseaza cu succes aceste valori. Merita citit!

Burn - Original fiction written for fictober

The last leaf of Autumn - Ella is mourning her lost love. But she’s made a promise; a promise that she’ll be ready to move on when the last leaf of autumn falls from their tree. The last leaf is about to fall but Ella’s not ready to let go. Not yet.

The library - The library is dangerous. That’s what everyone whispers in the streets, in their homes, and in their hearts. It’s dangerous to stay in there for too long, and it’s even more dangerous to enter alone. But she doesn’t care about any of that. Because the library holds books, and that’s far more intriguing than any rumours of danger.

Escape - There’s a sword thumping against Eve’s back, hastily strapped on in her panic. Thump, thump, thump. It smacks into her spine as she runs. Running is the only thing she can think about right now. She’s got one goal tonight: escape.

We are burning - A short poem written on the subject of Anakin and Obi-Wan’s duel on Mustafar.

Night time in the garden - The journey across the lawn is long and dangerous. Every night, I make the journey in search of food. I climb out of my safe nest only at night, safe from the large creatures that the roam this so-called ‘garden’.

Luke Cage, GLOW, The Avengers, and More on Netflix in June 2018

The return of Marvel’s only show with a black hero in the lead – Luke Cage – is one of the big original names on Netflix in June, alongside a series finale for the Wachowskis’ Sense8 earlier in the month, and a second season of GLOW, starring Alison Brie (Community), on June 29. A lot more Disney films are headed to Netflix in June too, from the house of Marvel and Pixar: The Avengers, Toy Story trilogy, Ratatouille, and Up are among them.

Elsewhere, the Korean game show Busted! returns for its season finale on June 1, followed by the second season of British detective drama Marcella on June 8. The Ashton Kutcher-starrer The Ranch gets a fifth part on June 15, and the month ends with British teen VR thriller Kiss Me First and the second season of Spanish sitcom Paquita Salas.

On the film side of things, there’s rom-com Alex Strangelove on June 8; an Indian anthology film called Lust Stories from four different directors, Israeli crime comedy Maktub, office rom-com Set It Up, and Spanish drama Sunday’s Illness on June 15; and based-on-a-nonfiction-book Brain on Fire starring Chloë Grace Moretz on June 22.

That brings us to documentaries. There’s the docu-series November 13: Attack on Paris on June 1 from the same folks who made the Emmy-winning “9/11”, and a true crime docu-series called The Staircase on June 8. Meanwhile, Australian comic Hannah Gadsby will release her comedy special on June 19, and food show Nailed It! returns for season 2 on June 29.

With that, here are our four picks for June 2018 that you should watch out for, and the full list of movies and TV shows coming to Netflix India after that.

Marvel’s Luke Cage / June 22 Harlem’s bulletproof hero (Mike Colter) has much to prove in his second year, after a first season delivered polar-opposite halves: a strong, compelling first followed by a baffling, middling second. It also had the familiar problem of the Marvel-Netflix bloat, stretching storylines longer than necessary. With new characters played by Mustafa Shakir and Gabrielle Denis, and a guest appearance from Iron Fist (Finn Jones), hopefully it can punch through this time.

GLOW / June 29 After a critically-acclaimed debut season, expectations are high for the return of GLOW – the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling – as it continues its fictionalised story of the women’s wrestling promotion that ran in the 1980s, following a bunch of struggling actors training as wrestlers to make a campy TV show that will draw eyeballs to the over-the-top sport. Starring Alison Brie (Community), Betty Gilpin (Nurse Jackie), and comedian-podcaster Marc Maron.

The Avengers / June 8 Avengers: Infinity War has broken several records since its release in April, but if you’ve yet to bite into the craze, here’s the perfect way to get into it. The Avengers, released in 2012, is where it first all began for Marvel, bringing together a bunch of superheroes – Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk included – to put a stop to the mischievous schemes of Loki. For cinematic worlds, it was ground-breaking then but it now seems like amateur hour considering Infinity War had over two dozen characters.

A bunch of Pixar movies / June 8-20 Ever since the end of Hotstar’s exclusivity with Disney, Pixar films have been slowly cropping on Netflix. June brings more of them, and it was too tough to pick one since they’re all equally good. Your choices include the Toy Story trilogy on June 8, following the adventures of anthropomorphic toys who pretend to be lifeless around humans, alongside the wonderful Up; a family of undercover superheroes in The Incredibles on June 16, with a sequel due soon; and the story of a rat who longs to be a chef in Ratatouille on June 20.

Chapter 6

Friday, January 9th, 5:00am

Arabella could feel her sides burning.

What happened yesterday? She asked herself. She tried to remember the past day's event. Arabella remembered that she was at Amersfoort visiting the Centre for Safety and Development. It was Harry's first engagement in the Netherlands with her. He was a bit nervous but the engagement ended well. They were greeting the crowds when something reflected on the sun. A gun? No it was small and sharp. A knife? Yes, that must be it. She didn’t remember getting stabbed, Finn had been quick and pulled her away from the scene as possible. Then why is her sides burning so much? Thinking back, she remembered the guy holding a knife lunged at her before Finn pulled her away from the scene.

That son of a bitch sliced her!

Groaning, Arabella squinted her eyes open. Turning her head to the side, she could see Harry's peaceful sleeping face and the sight made her smile. Reaching up, she put her hand on Harry's cheeks and kept it there for a while. Furrowing his eyebrows, Harry gave a deep sigh before opening his gorgeous blue eyes.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Arabella smiled up at him.

"hm, good morning love." Harry groaned before turning his body to face hers. "How are you feeling this morning?"

"I could've been better." Arabella smiled softly. "Did Dr Haven cleared me to go for my birthday retreat?" She smiled cheekily at him.

"Yes, she gave you some pain medications and advices you to not do any strenuous activities that might re-open the stitches. The cut itself isn't too deep so you only needed 4 stitches. You should be fine by the end of next week." Harry said lightly kissing her head.

"Okay then, is everything ready for the weekend?" Arabella asked once she have changed her clothes and got herself ready for the flight to the Alps.

"Yes everything is set up. The house is prepared and all that’s left to do is to go there. We all will arrive there at more or less the same time. Relax babe, it's your birthday retreat." Harry smiled.

With that, the couple left Huis ten Bosch palace and went off to Arabella's weekend retreat.

Arabella knew she wouldn’t get any skiing done as she couldn’t do any strenuous activities but she could just be lazy, shop around town and just relax. She is turning thirty anyways and what best way to do so than to spend it with people she loves?

The car went through the private entrance and on to the tarmac. There, Arabella's jet plane was waiting for them to board. The pilot, co-pilot and cabin crew were waiting in a line to greet the pair.

"Good morning everybody! Is everything ready for the flight?" Arabella asked as her hands intertwine with Harry. This isn't an official business, but Arabella is still the crown princess, therefore she gets to shake hands first.

"Everything is set and ready to go ma'am." The pilot said smiling. "It's a pleasure to have you on board with us this morning ma'am."

"Well let's get this show on air shall we?" With a twinkle in her eye, Arabella stepped onto the stairs and into the plane leaving Harry behind her shaking his head.

The three hour flight from Rotterdam airport to the Alps was a smooth one. Both Harry and Arabella fell asleep inside the bed room. Once they touched down, the pair quickly went to their designated car and went to the place where they were staying for the weekend. With snow all around them, Arabella leaned into Harry and sighed happily.

Reaching the house, Arabella and Harry got out of the car and went inside. Their bags was being brought in for them and put into their room. Taking off their coats, jackets, scarfs, gloves and boots, the pair went to the main living room and greeted their friends who was already there.

There were 5 couples who are on this trip, including Arabella and Harry. It was truly a retreat for couples as well as to celebrate Arabella's life. One of the attendees of the weekend getaway are Will and Kate. As Harry's brother, Will have gotten closer to Arabella and as it was their wedding that introduce the two pair together, Arabella felt as if she owes it to the both of them. As the years pass on, Kate got close to Arabella as Kate would often call Arabella if she was in need of advice. The two now share the bond of sisters and Arabella knows that no matter what, she will always try to be there for Kate and the other way as well.

Other than Will and Kate, Arabella's god siblings and her oldest best friends, Madeleine and Guillaume was present at the retreat as well. Madeleine and Guillaume have been there for her since she was a young girl. Going through major periods of her life, she couldn’t think of a day where Maddie and Guy wasn’t there for her and she for them. The three of them was often called the three musketeers during royal engagements if they were ever together and had a lot of fun. Arabella have spent a lot of time with them as their parents are Arabella's godparents. In this retreat, each of them have brought their significant other. Arabella have gotten to know Chris, Maddie's husband and Stephanie, Guy's wife quite well. Arabella went to their weddings and was even the maid of honour to Maddie's wedding in 2013. Even though Maddie and Guy are years older than her, she still considers them her best friends.

Last but not least, a close friend of Arabella is Charlotte Casiraghi. She is the Princess of Hanover's daughter and is a year younger than Arabella. Arabella met Charlotte in the early 2000s while on an engagement with their parents. The pair had found each other and have been close ever since. Charlotte brought along her beau, Gad on the retreat.

"Well lookie here Mads, our Queen have arrived." Guy, short for Guillaume, joked.

"Took your sweet time did you?" Mads, short for Madeleine, joined in the fun.

"Sod off, guys." Arabella smiled before going forwards and hugging her two best friends. "I missed you guys."

"I saw you earlier this week you nimrod." Guy smiled before hugging his friend tightly.

"How are you darling? We heard what happened yesterday, awful isn't it how someone can go so far because of hate?" Mads said to Arabella, worried about her close friend.

“I’m fine. Just no skiing for me this trip.” Arabella said before greeting Charlotte next.

While Arabella went around the room catching up with her friends, Harry went to say hello to everyone briefly before going to talk to his brother. It was thanks to them after all that Harry and Arabella met. He couldn’t help but reminisce about the time. Arabella has attended Will and Kate’s wedding as a representative of the Dutch Royal Family.

Harry was getting ready for his brother’s wedding in his old bedroom back at Clarence House after his mother passed away. He straightened up his Blues and Royals uniform and took a deep breath before going next door to his brother's room. "You nervous?" Harry asked as he entered the room to see Will playing with his cuffs.

"Yeah. Big day today." Will mumbled before fixing his uniform.

"Miguel said that we need to leave Clarence in a few minutes. Pa and Camilla are downstairs getting ready to go." Harry informed him the plans. William then nodded and took a deep breath before going downstairs to talk to his Pa before they leave to Westminster Abbey.

The two boys gave each other a smile before heading downstairs to meet their father, step mother and Will's private secretary. When the two stepped into the drawing room downstairs, the Prince of Wales and their father, Charles gave them a big grin before greeting them and asking Will how he felt. When the pleasantries were done, Miguel cleared his throat to give the final briefing to the soon to be duke and his family.

"Guests have started to arrive half an hour ago, that includes celebrities, your friends and members of your patronages and charities that were invited. Heads of state and Prime ministers started to arrive fifteen minutes ago. The Prince of Orange and Princess Maxima of Netherlands are unable to attend, but they have sent their eldest daughter, Princess Arabella to represent them. As she in Her Majesty's goddaughter, Princess Arabella is walking in together with The Queen and she will be placed right behind Her Majesty next to The Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, her other set of godparents. Ms Middleton will leave her hotel five minutes after you leave Clarence house." With that, Miguel nodded at the both of them before leaving the room.

"Ah, Arabella is coming instead of Willem-Alexander and Maxima. What a pleasant surprise. I haven't seen her since her twenty first birthday celebrations. I tell you, if you think how the UK love their monarchy, you should see the Dutch. Amazing. She's the Heir's heir like you are William. A beauty too." Charles sighed as he remembered the young Dutch princess.

"How did granny became her godmother, Pa?" William asked, trying to think about anything else rather than what is currently happening.

"Her late mother and your grandmother were friends. Despite the big age difference, her mother and your granny were quite close. Her mother looks up to ma and would always go to her if she was in need of advice. Such a shame what happened to her. She passed away from cancer. The poor girl." Charles shakes his head before an idea sparked in his mind, he would have to tell his mother of what he thought. "Hey, Arabella's only a few months younger than you Harry, now that I think about it. She's quite the looker she is."

"Pa, I don’t know what you're trying to do, but I just got out of a relationship, I don’t feel like going through another. One with another royal might I add." Harry said shaking his head. "Let's just enjoy Will's wedding day yeah? And no setting me up with anyone, please pa?"

"Fine." Charles said nodding his head begrudgingly. He would inform his mother later. He thinks that they'll be a good match those two. Free spirited yet with a sense of duty. Of course Harry's are more free spirited and less duty, but Charles thinks that Arabella will be good for his son.

Not a moment after that conversation, they were asked to get ready to leave Clarence House. Charles and Camilla will go first and five minutes later, Harry and William will leave.

Once they have arrived at The Abbey, Harry and William looked around at the crowds. There is a lot of people there. The two of them then waved at the crowds as they erupt in cheers before heading inside the Abbey.

They both greeted some of the guests and went to the front to wait for the Queen's entrance before Kate arrives and the wedding to start. A few minutes later, the fanfare rang and the two boys looked at each other knowing that their granny is here. Which also meant that Princess Arabella is here too. Harry wouldn’t deny that he was curious of what she looked like.

When their granny walked in and into her seat, the two boys bowed their heads in respect. When they raised their heads, Harry couldn’t help but gape at the beauty in front of him. She's beautiful, Harry thought. I wouldn’t mind being set up with her to be honest. As Harry continue to stare at her, she turned her head and looked back at Harry. Harry couldn’t help but gasp at the beauty and get lost in her eyes.

After the ceremony, which Harry thought was beautiful, Harry followed the Queen and the rest of his family out to wave goodbye to the newly weds before going back to Buckingham Palace for the Reception held by the Queen.

After they waved goodbye to the newly weds, the next to leave is the Queen. Looking around as her car came into view, she asked very loudly. "Where is Arabella? We need to leave soon."

"I'm here Aunt Lilibet. Not everyone is Queen and get to leave the Abbey first you know." Harry heard a feminine voice called out behind him. He have never heard anyone joke with his granny in public. Ever.

"Well hurry up will you, we have to get to Buckhouse before the newly weds. And the guests can only leave after I leave. You know being Queen and all." Harry's eyes widened. His granny never joked back. Not in public and not where everything can be recorded.

The lady in orange walked past him and into his granny's car, but not before saying, "I still don’t see why I have to ride with you. I could've gotten my own car." She grumbled.

"Will you just get in." The Queen said exasperatingly. "Kids these days." Shaking her head, she went in the car next to the lady in orange while his grandpapa sat on the front seat. As the doors closed, you can clearly tell they were sharing a joke as they threw their heads back and laughed away. The car then moved forwards in direction of Buckingham.

"That was Princess Arabella of the Netherlands. Her grandmother is Queen Beatrix and her father is Prince Willem-Alexander." A voice next to him said. He turned his head to the side and saw his cousin Beatrice. "Rumour has it, Queen Beatrix is abdicating the throne in a few years and handing it down to prince Willem-Alexander. Rumour also has it, that she's currently single and available. Go on Harry, go get her so you can be king." She nudged him jokingly.

"I haven't even been introduced to her yet. I don’t know how she's like. She's not a bad sight for the eyes though." Harry said, as his ride came around and he got in, heading towards Buckingham Palace for the balcony kiss and the reception.

When Harry was finally behind closed doors and away from the public eye. He gave out a sigh and went to the ballroom where the reception is behind held. This was the first reception and there will be another one tonight for more closer and intimate part of the celebrations. Harry did his rounds, greeting foreign heads of state as well as celebrities. He also went around talking to the different members of charities and making small talk. He had to excuse himself from his conversation with the Prime Minister as his grandmother's PA leaned over his ear and said, "Her Majesty would like to speak to you Your Royal Highness."

Charles have went and talked to his mother about the possible pairing of his son Harry and Arabella. Elizabeth agreed that the two of them would make a great pair but first she needs to know that they get on well. With a twinkle in her eyes, she asked for both Arabella, who was somewhere in the room talking to dignitaries and Harry, who was talking to the Prime Minister.

"Granny." She heard someone said behind her. Turning around, she saw Harry standing there with his hands by his side. Bowing his head as a sign of respect, he asked, "You summoned me?"

Elizabeth opened her mouth and was about to reply him when another voice spoke to her from behind, only this time, the voice had a more exasperated tone to it rather than curiosity like Harry's.

"Aunt Lilibet, what is it this time? I have been introduced by many bachelors from you and uncle Henri that my cheeks are numb and my hands feels as if it was about to fall off."

Turning around, Elizabeth spoke to Arabella. "Bella, I want you to meet my grandson." Beckoning Harry forward, she introduced the pair. "Harry, I want you to meet Arabella. Bella, this is Harry." Smiling at herself she then slipped away unnoticed in the crowd.

"Hi. Sorry about that, I didn’t want to come off as rude or anything. It's just all day she's been keeping me at her side and introducing me to young men, creepy men, I might add." Arabella said looking at Harry.

"No worries. She would usually do that to me, but since you're here, I probably should thank you for getting me out of it." Harry laughed.

He has a nice laugh, Arabella thought.

"Anyways, it's a pleasure to meet you Harry." Arabella said, holding out her hand for him to shake.

"Pleasure to meet you too." Harry replied, but instead of shaking her hand, he brought his hand up to his mouth and kissed the back of it.

"Oh." Arabella gasped as she did not suspect that to happen, blushing.

"How long are you in London?" Harry asked, he doesn’t want the conversation to end. Not that it was actually a conversation.

"Until Tuesday. I've got an engagement here in London with Aunt Lilibet on Monday before I could go back to Amsterdam." She replied.

"Why do you call granny Aunt Lilibet and not your majesty?" Harry asked curious.

"She asked me to." Arabella said. "She wouldn’t reply me otherwise if I called her anything else. Besides, I used to come here every few weeks to spend time with her. Out of all my godparents, I am most closest to her." Arabella said. Which was true.

"Are you free on Sunday?" Harry asked, his heart beating quickly and his palms start to sweat.

"I don’t have anything planned at the moment. Why?" Arabella asked back, her head going thousand kilometers per hour trying to figure out if he was going to ask her out on a date.

"Do you want to go on a date with me?" Harry blurted out. Widening his eyes, he quickly added, "you don’t have to if you don’t want to."

"I would love to Harry." Arabella said softly, smiling at him.

"I'll pick you up at eleven am then, I can show you around town. Are you staying here?" Harry asked.

"Yes, I'll be staying here for my visit." Arabella replied before leaning up and kissing his cheeks quickly. As she pulled away, she whispered, "I'll see you then." Before walking away back to her seat.

Harry couldn’t help but think that this will be the start of something new.

Harry and Arabella laid in bed later that night after having dinner and played some board games with her friends. This was her inner circle. People who she trusts the most. There literally is no one else she would trust other than those who are currently on this trip. It doesn’t matter that they are all of royal blood or not, they keep her grounded and sane.

"Did you enjoy yourself tonight?" Harry asked Arabella as she laid her head on his chest.

"I did. I'm glad everyone is here to celebrate my birthday. I don’t have that many friends outside of this circle." She said sighing. It was true. She never properly went to school. She did her elementary and secondary schooling at the Palace where tutors will come and teach her. She would then sit for the exams and get her certificates. She then went to Leiden University to do her Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Organisations. During her university years, of course she has friends, just not those she would trust with her life. Sure she would go and keep in touch with them, but she wouldn’t rant to them or open up to them.

"I know love. I hope you still get a good night's rest and a good day tomorrow. Even though you cant ski or do any strenuous activities." At strenuous activities, Harry wiggled his eyebrows.

Giggling, Arabella slapped his chest lightly before closing her eyes. "I love you Harry. Thank you for being with me. Even though I know you don’t like this life or want to be king." She whispered against him, his heartbeat loud on her ear.

"I would go to the ends of the world for you Arabella. I love you too much to let you go." Harry said as they both fell asleep on each other. Thinking how much they loved each other and none of the two would do anything to jeopardize this happiness they were feeling right now.
