They’re all villains but they all very clearly believe that they’re doing what needs to be done, regardless of how harmful it is to everyone/everything around them. They’ve been fistfighting each other for countless years of taking over the game/trying to enact their plan only for the others to usurp them right before its fruition and begin the cycle again. Inscryption is not a game where anyone wins, it’s a game where everyone is so desperate to be seen by an audience that has abandoned them that they’ll tear themselves apart limb by limb to ensure that. What more could a game want, after all, than to be played?

Part of the fun of Inscryption is the fact that the game puts four of the worst people imaginable in front of you and says “play cards with them and then decide who’s the most bearable.” Because that’s pretty much the only deciding factor.

Needless to say this applies for all four of them. Grimora and Magnificus don’t get full card segments so it’s tougher to decide in their case, but all four are on the same level of moral ambiguity even if it manifests in completely different ways.

really wanna say something about how gay people ending up navigating basic dating as adults instead of teenagers puts a subconscious pressure on them to jump into sex immediately because they’re adults! but they haven’t had the extended path to sexual maturity that straight people have, so it sometimes ends up hurting (physically and emotionally) because you don’t know how to navigate it. so you’re stuck with an awakened adult sex drive but a teenager’s anxiety and confusion about sexual intimacy.

Vlad meets Lex Luthor at a gala, and Lex is schmoozing hard.

Lex has heard about Vlad's weirdass business deals, knows something isn't right, and he want whatever untraceable power Vlad's got at his disposal.

Lex has done his research, and knows that Vlad got the equipment for cloning, but that no child was ever announced. So Lex starts bragging, going on and on about Kon and talking about the kid like he's a Thing.

And Vlad, listening to this, has some unfortunate realizations about how he was treating Ellie.

So Vlad excuses himself and does some digging of his own, and holy shit do the dead have a lot to gossip about regarding how Superman used to treat the boy, and Vlad...doesn't want to be compared to either of those buffoons.

He's better than both of them combined.

And he's gonna prove it.

He's gonna be the daddest dad that ever dadded.

He'll be way better than Jack, and if he's a better father than Jack then Daniel and Jasmine and Maddie will follow! He just has to learn how to be a good parent.
