Living Different Lives
"I think the hardest part is choosing between doing what’s right and what’s easy and you still choose to go out and patrol with me, even though you don’t need to. I think Mom would be proud of you for that.” He knew he said the right thing when the other teen relaxed just a smidge, slightly proud of himself for the speech and– “Did you seriously just quote Dumbledore to me while trying to convince me to be a better person?”
Or
Miles Miles-42 bonding with some angst and a sprinkle of Aaron-42
His skin stung as he blocked three consecutive blows and sent a swift kick toward his opponent, letting out a startled yelp when his leg was caught and his other foot was swept out from beneath him, sending him tumbling to the ground.
Miles landed flat on his back, knocking the air out of his lungs as he groaned. “Y’know maybe I should stop holding back so much, you’d win way less,” he groused, throwing his counterpart an irritated look as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
The other Miles, who he had taken to calling Morales, raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth twitching in amusement. “Strength only takes you so far and I’d prefer that my bones remain intact. And you’re the one who said you wanted to learn, Spidey.”
“Yeah, but learning requires you to actually teach and you’ve been having the time of your life beating me up,” Miles argued, giving Morales a flat look when he simply smirked in response.
“I mean, that is a major part of why I agreed to this,” Morales shrugged unrepentantly, ignoring Miles’ indignant protest as he continued. “You telegraph your movements too much. You’ve got a decent foundation but it has a lot of holes, especially when I don’t have to worry about your whole super strength shtick. Plus, you tend to do this thing where you hesitate a little every time you hit– like you’re trying to gauge how much I can take.”
Miles blinked at the surprisingly constructive criticism, mulling over his counterpart’s words as he crossed his legs and leaned back. Monitoring his superstrength had taken him a while to get the hang of but as time went on it became second nature to determine how he could use it during a fight– even during regular daily occurrences.
He didn’t have to worry about it so much when he was with his spider friends but Miles had lost count of how many times he’d accidentally ripped off a door handle or broken a glass cup.
There was even this one incident following everything with Kingpin and the collider, where this one kid from Brooklyn Middle– Fabio or something similar– refused to leave him alone and kept picking a fight every time he saw Miles. He had gotten in Miles’ face and Miles had pushed him, momentarily forgetting that he had powers and sending the boy skidding halfway across the basketball court.
Just thinking about the stunned silence that followed and the frantic explanations that had spilled from his mouth made him want to shrivel up and die, embarrassment curling in his gut.
“Hey,” Morales called as he nudged Miles’ leg, effectively diverting his train of thought before he could fall down the rabbit hole of randomly remembering every stupid thing he’d done since he was old enough to remember.
There was a troubled look on Morales’ face when Miles tilted his head back to look up at him, his eyebrows drawn into a frown that made the tiny wrinkle between them more pronounced. It was the same face he always made when the state of his universe was brought up.
“What’s wrong?”
“How did you tell your mom the truth about the whole… Spider-Man thing?”
Miles was momentarily blindsided by the question before he laughed a little awkwardly. Thinking about that particular conversation sent a rush of both anxiety and relief through him. “I… I was kind of forced to? Not that I didn’t plan to do it eventually,” he added a little hastily despite the fact that neither of his parents were around. “It’s just that after everything with the Spot and the Spider Society I was in a coma for four days and Gwen and the others took me home ‘cause my parents were really worried and then we had to sit down and talk about everything when I woke up… so yeah.”
Morales’ shoulders slumped, his mouth twisting into a bitter line.
“Do you… want to tell your mom?” Miles ventured carefully.
Despite the number of times he had visited this dimension, sometimes even teaming up with the other teen’s alter ego to take down members of Sinister Six Cartel it was always a touch and go when it came to bringing it up when they were both out of their suits.
Morales shrugged in response to his inquiry but his shoulders were lined with tension. “It’s not that simple. Me being the Prowler… it’s nothing like you being Spider-Man. It’s not something Mami would be proud of.”
Miles wet his lips as they lapsed into silence, absently tugging a loose piece of skin between his teeth as he considered his counterpart’s situation. “I think you’d be surprised,” he said quietly, mind drifting back to the many months he’d spent agonizing over what his parents’ reaction would be.
Sure, they hadn’t been ecstatic that he had been putting himself in danger with them being none the wiser on a daily basis and maybe they had gotten a little overbearing and protective but it had been far tamer than anything his mind had conjured.
“I’m a murderer,” Morales spat angrily, shoulders hiking up to his ears as he glared at the ground. “What’s there to be proud of?”
Miles wasn’t going to excuse that, he wasn’t going to absolve him of his guilt by reassuring him that the people he killed were probably bad people because he didn’t know that, and even then, taking a life was never something he’d condone.
Morales’ choices and actions were his own to address and deal with the consequences of but he still had his whole life ahead of him. He made mistakes, big ones at that but he still had time to change, he could still better himself.
And he was.
Miles had seen it himself in the reactions the residents of New York had to Spider-Man and Prowler patrolling together. There was less fear and more of a wary hope in their faces when they looked at them and it never failed to make something warm swell in Miles’ chest.
And Miles had always been an advocate for second chances.
Perhaps it was because a part of him had always wondered if he could’ve gotten Uncle Aaron to turn his life around, to leave the Prowler behind if he had managed to survive that gunshot. But that was a what-if he didn’t have the luxury of entertaining.
Morales was different. He was a distorted reflection of Miles, one that represented a life that could’ve been his if he was born under different circumstances.
“You made mistakes,” Miles said and continued even as Morales scoffed. “I’m not trying to justify what you did but… you’re trying to be better, right? I think the hardest part is choosing between doing what’s right and what’s easy and you still choose to go out and patrol with me, even though you don’t need to. I think Mom would be proud of you for that.”
He knew he said the right thing when the other teen relaxed just a smidge, slightly proud of himself for the speech and–
“Did you seriously just quote Dumbledore to me while trying to convince me to be a better person?”
Heat rushed to his face and Morales laughed, nothing like his usual amused huff but an actual laugh. It was a little rough, like he wasn’t quite used to making the sound but it made Miles grin.
“Hey, you got my reference, you don’t get to talk, asshole,” he snickered.
“You walk around in spandex and shoot webs from your wrists– I can make fun of you all I want.”
“My suit is cool!”
“It looks like you’re bleeding from your armpits, man.”
Miles threw his arms up in frustration and exaggerated offense– that was like the fifth time someone had said that to him. He had designed another suit after everything but he still liked that one. “Why does everyone keep saying that?!”
“Maybe ‘cause it’s true, idiot,” Morales snorted, letting out an undignified squawk when Miles swept his legs out from under him in retaliation. He bristled like a cat when Miles cackled and somehow they ended up wrestling, his counterpart fruitlessly attempting to get the upper hand strength-wise.
There was an edge of playfulness to it that the other teen rarely indulged in, the harsh breath that escaped him when Miles managed to pin him emerging as more of a scratchy laugh.
“You’re an asshole,” Morales informed him as he threw Miles off and jammed his hands beneath his underarms in a quick dirty move that had Miles flailing, arms slamming down on his sides in a desperate attempt to protect them.
His strength all but abandoned him as he tried to roll away, shrieking with laughter as his counterpart continued his assault with a terribly amused look on his face.
“Stop– stop,” he cackled, ineffectively attempting to glare at him through his laughter– although it mostly alternated between screaming or giggling like a little kid.
“Say uncle.”
“Fuhuhuck you!”
The door opened and Morales froze before drawing away quickly. It took Miles a moment to follow, rolling onto his side and twitching a bit in embarrassment when he saw Uncle Aaron shooting them an amused look.
“You look like you’re having fun. How’s the training going?” he asked.
“He sucks,” Morales answered with no preamble and Miles shot him an offended look, jabbing him in the side with two fingers and the smallest amount of electricity crackling around them. He flinched hard, choking a bit before he gave Miles a withering glare that promised pain if he tried that again.
He was totally going to do it again.
Uncle Aaron huffed, the crow’s feet around his eyes crinkling in amusement.
Something in Miles’ chest stirred and ached at the sight because as much as he had grown used to the man before him, as much as he reminded Miles of his Uncle Aaron, he wasn’t his. He wore the same cologne and listened to the same music but his beard was tinged gray and the jacket he wore wasn’t the same one he used to match with Miles’ own.
“You staying around for dinner, kid?” Uncle Aaron asked him and Miles shook his head.
“Nah, I promised Mami I’d be back for dinner,” he explained, grabbing his phone from where he’d set it on the side in order to check the time. “And I should be going back home soon.” He glanced at Morales. “I’ll see you later?”
His counterpart nodded as Miles began collecting his things. “Thanks, by the way,” he hedged as Miles was just about to dive through the portal back to his own, clarifying when he raised his eyebrows in confusion. “For what you said earlier.”
Something warm bloomed in Miles’ chest, a small smile tugging at his lips. It was weird, becoming friends with someone who looked just like you but remained a completely different person but somehow, in a weird, convoluted way it worked.
“Any time. Tell your mom I said hi!”
Despite all that had happened, he could never quite bring himself to regret accidentally landing on Earth-42.

I love writing them bickering, it's so funny to me This is kinda inspired by my other fic, Stranger Who Wears My Face, but also not really. It was just a random thing that popped in my head. Fic name is from the song 'Brother' by Kodaline

Even though the fandom usually sees 42Aaron as a "bad influence" on Miles G or (less often) an ideal father figure or actually a replacement for Jeff, I'm very interested in his characterization as a good person who really wants to help, though not a perfect uncle.
Because, listen to me, 1610 Miles saw Aaron as some kind of unwavering image of coolness, lightness, an alternative way of looking at the world, looking to him more than his own father. And yet Aaron was not the way Miles saw him - he was much harder, much more difficult, much more complex than just a "cool uncle" in the eyes of a rebellious teenage boy.
Now imagine. Jeff has died, and - although they haven't spoken in years and will never be able to again - Aaron knows that the only thing he could ask of his brother is to look after his family, his wife and son. And so Aaron does. Aaron comes to their home almost immediately after the news of his brother's death, he tries to talk to Rio, brings his nephew a couple of old tapes as a gift, and pushes his own heartbreak far away because it is the only way he can thank his brother and shed light on his memory.
He becomes a loyal helper and friend for Rio, and for Miles G, he becomes a mentor, a role model, and a father figure.
But there is a small problem here - Aaron is not a family man. Aaron is not a father. He really thought that he was a good uncle, a cool uncle who could make a child happy, but all of that shattered as soon as he had to actually LOOK after this child.
Because it's one thing when he comes to your house once a month, you eat popcorn, listen to music and talk about school and girls, and then go out to paint graffiti. And it's completely different when you see a little boy literally falling apart and breaking down before your eyes, when you know that he can't sleep at night because he's afraid of nightmares, when you see him exhausting himself, reaching for some unknown goals, trying to grow up as fast as possible to become a person he was never meant to be... and there's nothing - nothing - you can do about it. You don't know how to approach him, how to open up, how to talk to children. Because you have never been able to deal with your own feelings, let alone the feelings of a small child who is just quietly suffering in front of you.
Of course, this does not mean that they do not have good relationships. They have their own local jokes, gags, and inventions. Miles G can spend hours at Aaron's apartment practicing something, and he will pass on his knowledge to him.
But (and Aaron has made sure of this) this does not make him a really good uncle. Because he just doesn't know what it's like to be a full-fledged father figure, a supervisor, how to be anyone beyond being a "cool uncle" - and he blames himself for this more than anyone else, but he just can't seem to learn. He tries to talk to Miles, but every time he meets an iron wall with the code words "I'm fine" that he just CAN'T break through.
He had no experience. He had no normal parents. There was no one who could explain to him how to do it, and the only person who really cared about him all these years is six feet under the ground.
How often do you think he stood by Jeff's mural, muttering a quiet "I'm sorry" to him? Because for the first time in his life, just making and giving money was not enough. Because he can't be the help he wants to be. Because he hates seeing Rio so tired, too, and he knows Jeff would hate it as well, but he can't do anything but hear a clear "no" to every his suggestion about her resting or taking a day off from from work.
How often do you think he's thought Jeff would be angry at him If he knew the role he gave his child, seeing the scars on his face and soul?
How often do you think he's wondered if Jeff would hate him if he found out what he's doing, even though he's doing the best he can.
How often do you think he thinks his "I'm sorry" doesn't mean anything anymore?
That's how I see him.

SHOUT OUT TO RIO MORALES FOR REMINDING HER SON ABOUT HIS WORTH RIGHT BEFORE MIGUEL ATTEMPTED TO RIP IT FROM HIM

I sometimes wonder if Miguel ever tried recreating that sense of family he had with Gabriella with Miles and Gwen...except Miles and Gwen only received that toxic parental side from him and not the healthier, wholesome part he had with Gabi because he's mentally unwell and grieving and punishing himself daily as penance.
This is a really good thought cause Gwen alludes to this in her rant at Miguel during the Go Home Machine sequence, “Maybe you weren’t hard enough on him!”. Miguel views his actions based on being Spider-Man not as being Miguel. Either way, he is acclimated to loss in grief in such a unique way that it just seems difficult for him to understand that others aren’t or don’t become susceptible to his alternative to grief/guilt.
It would be plausible that Miguel is sort of worried about gaining a connection with members of the society (especially the younger ones) as he’s lost a lot in his life (if his backstory is any similar to his comic + gabi) and the healthier side would undoubtedly led to a less formal work relationship and something that bleeds into what little life he has outside of Spider-Man as Miguel.
For all intents and purposes Miguel genuinely believes that he is being reasonably protective of Miles and Gwen by over-protecting the canon as he doesn’t want them to experience the pain of over-stepping cosmic and normal boundaries like he did along with dampening his emotional investments in them by being harsh. I mean, recently people have been pointing out he tears up when Miles tells him he can’t not save his dad.
His intentions and sentiments towards these kids are pure and based in altruism but his actions and executions of them are destructive if outright hostile.

If Miles decided to tell Jeff his secret, I like to think Jeff would show up at every crime scene just to catch a glimpse of his son and ensure that Miles defeated his villain safely. Yes, he has great faith in his son's abilities, but Jeff can't help the alarm he feels whenever Rhino charges at Miles or the Green Goblin throws bombs at his kid.
"Dad, I'm fine--"
"Fine? FINE? Miles, that lunatic was throwing bombs at you!!"

All the younger spideys keep finding ways to annoy superior cuz they know he isn't going to do anything except verbally react in a way that's so old man core that it is funny to them. They frequently prank that loser and he genuinely thinks hes just struggling to keep up with Kids These Days </3 but also if they request him to do something he will try even if hes suspicious of it (because he has a soft spot for kids and if he doesn't they'll go running to Peter slandering him) and everytime it ends with him being hit with a Delicious Pie to the face

CARBON COPY | Miguel O'Hara
☆ premise: trying to find miles morales in earth-42, he encounters you. or at least, a version of you.
☆ pairing: miguel o'hara x fem!alt universe!reader
☆ warnings: across the spiderverse spoilers, pregnant!reader, clueless!reader, angst, hurt no comfort, miguel's pov, some swearing
☆ a/n: oh my god. across the spiderverse is literally a masterpiece. into the spiderverse already is, but the spiderverse team said, "we can do better." they didn't have to, but they did.
Tumblr media
"Do you really think this is a good idea?" Jessica asked through the commlink. "This is risky, even by your standards."
"It doesn't matter. The quicker we find Miles, the quicker we get out of here." Miguel muttered into his earpiece as he walked through the busy streets of Earth-42's New York.
"Yes, but blending in? For all we know, a version of us exists here."
"Which is why you need to stop talking and start looking, Jess." Miguel hissed a little too loud, earning looks from a few passerbys. He winced. Jessica had a point. If a version of them did exist in this universe, it would be best not to bring attention to themselves.
"Miguel!"
And... that was now thrown out of the window. Cursing under his breath, he turned around reluctantly to face the person who called him—only to find that it was you.
His eyes widened, and his lips parted at the sight of you. Never in a million years did he expect to see her again. But here you were, the absolute spitting image of her. Your clothes were exactly the same things she would wear, your hair and makeup done the same way.
Finding different versions of people in different universes was not uncommon. There's literally a society uniting the different universes' own Spider-people, for God's sake. But Miguel didn't expect this. He didn't expect a carbon copy of his dead wife on a universe where Spider-Man did not exist.
He should've said he wasn't Miguel, that you were mistaking him for someone else. Hell, he shouldn't have stopped and turned around in the first place. He didn't know what came over him, but in a second, he had his arms wrapped around your body.
"Miguel, hon, are you okay?" You asked, your voice laced with surprise and concern. You had no clue that the man who was hugging you was not your husband. At least, not your husband in this universe.
Miguel grunted in response, his ability to string words together to form a sentence rendered broken by your presence. He squeezed you tighter. He couldn't believe he was holding you in his arms.
You weren't the same woman he fell in love with. He knows this. But he couldn't help himself. You looked exactly like her. Felt exactly like her. Sounded exactly like her. Shit, you even smelled like her.
"Damn it, Miguel, keep it together! She's not your wife!"
Hearing Jess' voice snapped Miguel out of his stupor. Remembering his mission, why he was there in the first place, he pulled away from you. He didn't want to. He wanted to hold you longer. But he knew that if he did, he wouldn't have been able to stop.
"Honey, what's wrong?" You asked, cupping his face in your hands. God, how he missed feeling the warmth of your palms. "You're acting weird."
"I'm fine, sweetheart." He gave you a small smile, his hands wrapping around yours and his lips pressing a kiss on each of your wrists. "I just missed you, that's all."
You laughed. "What are you talking about? You saw me this morning."
Miguel could only chuckle in an attempt to hide his sadness. What was only hours for you was months for him. "Right. I did."
"Are you sure you're okay, though?" You asked again, eyebrows furrowing and the corners of your lips downturned.
"Don't worry about it, darling. I am."
He wasn't. But you didn't need to know that. You didn't need to know that in another universe, the two of you were married. You didn't need to know that you had a daughter together. You didn't need to know that he loved you and your daughter more than life itself, only for him to lose you both.
"Listen, I have to go. I'm having lunch with a friend. But I'll see you later at Doctor Nguyen's, okay?" You placed your hands on your stomach, a smile forming on your face. "I can't wait to see her again."
Miguel swallowed the lump in his throat before forcing himself to smile. Only now he noticed the bump on your stomach, carrying a different Miguel's Gabriella. "Yeah, me too."
With a kiss goodbye on his cheek, you walked away, blissfully unaware that he was not your Miguel. He watched as you disappeared around the corner, knowing it was the first and last time he was ever going to see you again.
But that didn't matter. He'll find Miles. He'll make sure the canon isn't destroyed. He'll make sure another version of himself wouldn't have to suffer the loss of his family the same way he did. He'll make sure you and your kid were safe.

Home Is Where The Heart Is
(Spider-Verse Fanfic) “Miles?” Panic sparked in his chest at the sound of his mother’s voice and he shot up from the ground, moving to grab his jacket only to hesitate just inches away. Did he want to keep lying to them after this? Did he want to bear the loneliness of it once again, to hide that part of him from the very people who he’d fought to protect for days on end?
Or
Miles tells his parents about him being Spider-Man
In the aftermath of the battle against Spot, Miles had swung home on a broken leg, several fractured ribs, a concussion, and a sprained ankle. His body was bruised and aching all over but he couldn’t bear to stand in the wreckage that had been left behind in the wake of their fight.
Not when he knew his parents would be home waiting for him.
His phone had gone missing somewhere in the last two days but the hazy fog in his mind and the sharp jolt of pain that shot through his body with every movement was too overbearing to focus on anything besides swinging as safely as he could.
The sight of his window was like a breath of fresh air and he crawled through it without a care for subtlety. He slumped to the ground, his breath coming out ragged and faint as he lay motionless on the ground. The smell of home– his home– was soothing, wrapping around him like a warm blanket as his eyes burned with tears and the events of the last two days crashed down on him all at once.
He was so tired.
He had been chased and beaten down by hundreds of people– some of them being his friends, he had been stranded in another world with another version of himself, he had been fighting Spot on his own while the others handled Miguel, his dad and mom had almost died –
It was too much.
He wanted his dad, he wanted the sense of security that came with his hugs and the sweet nothings he would whisper when Miles was still young enough to go to his parent’s room when he had a nightmare.
And that was exactly what this was; a nightmare.
Only it was one he couldn’t wake up from.
His breath hitched and his eyes blurred with overflowing tears that he blinked away.
“Miles?”
Panic sparked in his chest at the sound of his mother’s voice and he shot up from the ground, moving to grab his jacket only to hesitate just inches away.
Did he want to keep lying to them after this? Did he want to bear the loneliness of it once again, to hide that part of him from the very people who he’d fought to protect for days on end?
The door creaked open before he could come to a decision and he shrouded himself from her view, watching as his mom’s face crumpled at the sight of his empty room before she closed her eyes (they were brownbrownbrown, not green, brown like his). His stomach churned with guilt at the sight of the pained expression on her face.
He’d never wanted to hurt her or his dad when he became Spider-Man but the longer time went on the more it seemed like this power– this responsibility was a curse he couldn’t get rid of. He wanted them to be proud of him, not to look at him and wonder where they had gone wrong, where they had failed him.
They always supported him, always tried to understand and maybe his dad was a hardass at times but he had been trying to understand Miles’ perspective ever since Uncle Aaron died. It was Miles’s own inability to tell them the truth that slowly caused the rift between them to grow, the fracture in their relationship that his father had fought so hard to mend.
It was his fault.
“Mami,” he called softly just as she was about to leave, slowly flickering into visibility when she wheeled around to face him, her face lighting up with relief.
“Miles! We were so worried – ”
Her voice broke off when she saw the condition he was in, her face falling in alarm– the torn suit, the uncomfortable way he hunched over himself, the dried blood staining his face.
“... Miles?” she whispered softly, her voice tinged with horror that forced him to tear his gaze away from hers, unwilling to see the look on her face as she drew closer hesitantly– warily, his mind whispered venomously.
His lips trembled as his eyes burned with tears once more, suddenly terrified of the vulnerability that came with exposing this part of his life to his mother. Something thick lodged itself in his throat the longer the silence stretched, a mix of fear and dread swirling in his chest as his mind raced through hundreds of scenarios.
What if she didn’t accept it, what if she shunned him, what if–
Warm hands encased his face, guiding his gaze up to meet his mother’s as she crouched next to him. There was no accusation in her eyes, only intense worry and fear– for him, he realized a moment too late. “What happened, mijo?” she asked carefully, like he was glass on the verge of shattering.
His face crumbled, lurching forward to hug her as tears slipped down his face. “I’m sorry, I didn’t– I’m sorry,” he sobbed into her shoulder, a mantra of broken apologies escaping his lips as he clung to her as if he were a child.
She didn’t hesitate to hug him back, soothing the edge of jagged, icy panic in his chest as her arms wrapped around him in a tight enough grip that it was reassuring, grounding as something brittle and frail crumbled inside him.
She smoothed a hand over the back of his neck, an act that was usually comforting but sent a shudder of pain down his spine thanks to the still-bleeding welts and she pulled away just a little concern etched into her face. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears and that same terrified look she’d had in her eyes before– terrified that she would lose her son, terrified because of Miles.
“Miles? Qué te pasa? Where are you hurt?” Mami asked frantically, pulling back further to examine him.
Miles wanted nothing more than to fall asleep and pretend that the last two days hadn’t happened, to bask in the unspoken promise of safety and security his parents’ presence exuded but he knew he had to do something about his injuries lest they heal wrong.
It had happened once when May was still around and she had broken his nose all over again before setting it right and sending him home.
He took a few deep breaths before wiping his tears away and collecting himself as best as he could with the frayed strings of his emotional stability, grimacing at the overpowering scent of his own body odor along with the sickeningly familiar metallic scent of blood.
Nausea bubbled in his stomach all of a sudden, his head swimming and pounding as black spots danced across his vision. He managed to spit out his injuries before what leftover adrenaline had been fueling him diminished and he faded out of consciousness
The next hour or so was a blur for the most part with Miles floating in and out of consciousness, catching little snippets of what was happening around him. He caught sight of his dad at one, a wave of relief loosening the anxious knot in his chest before he finally drifted to sleep.
Miles woke up slowly, blinking his eyes open before letting them fall shut again, content in the space between sleeping and waking as he buried his face back into the soft pillow bracketing his head. The blankets wrapped around him were heavy and warm, their weight comforting. He breathed softly, unwilling to move despite the fact that his mind was slowly beginning to become more aware.
He shifted a little, tugging his blankets tighter around himself and savoring the warmth. Most of the pain he’d been suffering through before had dulled to a faint throbbing ache that hardly even registered as he settled into a more comfortable position.
Blunt nails gently scratched his scalp and he relaxed into the sensation, eyes fluttering shut as he let out a content sigh. It took a few more seconds for him to reluctantly wonder where he was, blinking the sleep from his eyes as he turned his bleary gaze up to see his dad sitting by his head.
The events of last night suddenly came rushing back and Miles shot up from his bed– the living room couch– a knot of terror and panic forming in his chest.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Everything’s okay, Miles,” his dad reassured him hastily, hands firmly gripping his shoulders and forcing him to look at the steady, comforting expression on his dad’s face. “Everything’s okay.”
“Do you… know?” Miles croaked, terrified once more of the vulnerability that came with his parents knowing about that side of his life. He wanted to tell them but his dad’s disapproval often rang in his mind when he contemplated doing so.
Dad’s face did something weird, looking almost pained as he closed his eyes for a short few seconds. “Yes, your mother was…” he trailed off before shaking his head. “Yes, I know about you being Spider-Man.”
Hearing it said out loud felt like a dirty secret had been made public, something private and personal aired for all to see. Something to be ashamed of when it was usually something that brought him a sense of pride and accomplishment.
“I’m sorry,” was all he managed to say, a pathetic apology for countless things– Uncle Aaron’s death, the numerous sleepless nights his dad had endured thanks to his positive relationship with Spider-Man, the fight with Spot.
The look on his dad’s face softened into something weary as he scrubbed his face. “...I’ve watched you almost die so many times in over a year. I saw you fight Kingpin… Miles, you could’ve died so many times yesterday and I wouldn’t have had any idea,” he said, his voice strangled like he was going to cry.
“Dad, I wasn’t… I was fine,” he tried to reassure, the defense lame to his own ears.
Dad bristled and Miles’s shoulders curled up to his ears when he turned to him with an incredulous expression on his face. “ Fine? That’s what you call fine?” he hissed.
“Jeff,” his mom warned as she stepped into the room, looking just as exhausted as his dad, who deflated, anger bleeding away just as quickly as it had come.
“Sorry. This is a lot. This…” Dad trailed off without finishing his sentence.
Miles knew he needed to explain, needed to say something so the words that spilled from his mouth were unscripted, nothing like the scenarios he had built in his mind because this wasn’t the way he wanted them to find out.
“I– I’m sorry, I didn’t want to lie to you but I didn’t know what else to do and I was scared you wouldn’t– I didn’t know what else to do. After Uncle Aaron–”
Dad sucked in a sharp breath, disbelief and horror etched into his face. “You were there. In the alley with Aaron last year, you were that Spider-Man– Miles, I pointed my gun at you! I could’ve hurt my own–”
Now both his parents looked terrible, exhausted and scared all because of him.
“It’s not your fault, Dad,” Miles whispered, desperate to reassure his father but terrified of their rejection all the same.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself so he could properly explain without tripping over his words. Somehow telling his parents the truth seemed more daunting than anything he’d ever done, the prospect of their rejection hanging over his head like a herald of bad news.
The nightmares of their disapproval, of being sneered at or thrown in jail or out of the house even though he knew they would never do that haunted him day and night, his lies heavy on his tongue but the icy rush of fear that shot through his body was terrible in comparison.
“I wanted to tell you for so long– I knew I needed to tell you after everything with Spot. But there were people like me, other spider-people so I thought that I had people in my corner, that I would be okay but they didn’t– they didn’t listen to me. You were right, Mom, they didn’t– I didn’t belong there, they didn’t accept me. I broke my promise, I know but I… I know I should’ve told you and I was trying to… it was just complicated. I was scared you’d make me give up Spider-Man, that you wouldn’t… love me the same.”
His last few words were said in a barely audible whisper but they rang in the silence following his explanation, a weight falling off his shoulders when they finally slipped from his mouth before it was quickly replaced with heavy dread.
His gaze flitted between his mother’s crestfallen expression, like he had broken her heart with how much he doubted their love for him, and his dad… Dad looked the same way he had the day of Uncle Aaron’s funeral, conflicted and heartbroken all at once, his eyebrows drawn into a soft frown that made it look like he was going to cry.
Neither of them said anything, the silence growing heavier with every soft tick of the clock fixed on the wall and Miles barely managed to refrain from fidgeting, limiting himself to picking at the skin around his nails.
“Oh, Miles,” his mom said softly, pain clear in her eyes as she drew closer, cupping his face carefully like he was something fragile, something precious. “We love you, we’ll always love you no matter what. Don’t ever doubt that. As much as I hate the idea of you putting yourself in danger, you came home and that’s what matters most. I’m sorry we made you feel like you couldn’t trust us.”
Tears burned in his eyes for what felt like the millionth time and he blinked them away, shaking his head a little. “It’s not your fault… I trust you, I just… I didn’t want to hurt you. Me being Spider-Man almost got you killed last night.”
“No,” Dad denied fiercely and Miles’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “I don’t understand much of what was going on with you and those other… Spider-people but we chose to go out last night because it was our job. Our responsibility.”
Oh, how Miles hated that word.
Sometimes he wished his dad hadn't picked a career that put him in the direct line of fire of multiple villains, armed with nothing but a gun and his face bared for everyone to see.
“Spot attacked because of me, he wanted to… he said he wanted to take everything away from me, that he was going to destroy everything. If I had just–”
“Miles, you can’t dwell on the what-ifs. You did the best that you could and you stopped him,” his dad interrupted, reaching out and squeezing his shoulder gently. “I’m proud of you, Miles.”
The last of the tension in Miles’ body bled away with that admission and he threw himself at his dad, wrapping his arms around the man and hugging him as hard as he could without hurting him.
Dad let out a quiet oof, before hugging Miles back just as fiercely and pressing a kiss to the top of his head. He melted into the steady security that came with being in his dad’s arms, warmth curling in his chest at his dad’s acceptance.
“You know this doesn’t mean I’m letting you off the hook?”
“Dad,” Miles huffed.
Mami laughed quietly as she joined the hug, her arm resting over his shoulders and her hand rubbing absent circles on his bicep.
“Spider-Man or not, I’m gonna be on your ass from now on and you better check in with me and your mother every time you go out, you got that?”
Miles flushed at the deliberate callback to the little remark he’d made during his conversation with his dad as Spider-Man, shrinking a bit in embarrassment before fully processing what his dad said and what?
He gaped at his dad, pulling away just enough to see his face and attempt to detect any deception in his eyes.
“You mean… you’re not going to make me stop? You’re okay with me being Spider-Man?”
“We wanted to,” Mami said softly and Miles’ stomach sank a little bit. “We’re proud of all the good you’ve done but we’d never be okay with the idea of you putting yourself in harm’s way. We’ve seen you pick up cats from trees, we’ve seen you save people from fires and it will always scare me to see you jump off buildings with nothing but a web to hold you. But we know you, we know you won’t stop even if we try to tell you to stay put. I’d rather be able to watch over you than have you running around behind my back.”
A part of him wanted to protest and say that he wouldn’t completely disregard their words but he knew he wouldn’t be able to sit still while others were getting hurt. For all that his father ranted about Spider-Man and how much he disliked him, the ideals Spider-Man upheld and the ideals he’d instilled in Miles were one and the same.
He had the power to fight back and do his part, how could he possibly hide in his home, pretending that he couldn’t make a difference when he could?
He hugged both his parents, squishing them all into one tightly knit embrace.
“Okay, I gotta ask. Do the webs come out of you or–”
“Dad, Miles groaned, an exasperated grin pulling at his lips with the familiar question.
“What? My son is Spider-Man, I think I have the right to ask that now.”
Maybe Miles had failed to fulfill his promise to his mom but he would always, always come back home.
o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
I love the morales family with my whole heart
I rewatched some parts of the movie to write this and Rio's speech is so cute, she cares about Miles so much that it made we wanna cry I wanted to write Jeff as like a sturdy presence in Miles' life because no matter how much they argue, his dad is always there when he needs it most but I also wanted to write his foot-in-mouth syndrome so we got this as a result Plus, the symbolism and double meaning with Rio's speech and Miles coming home and not getting lost, and then he tried to do that at the end of the movie but got stranded on E-42- ugh, Miles and his family mean so much to me, I have so many feeling about them

Sharing a Bed with Spiderverse Characters
Pairing: Peter B. Parker, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, Miguel O'Hara, Hobie Brown, Pavitr Prabhnakar x Reader
Tags: fluff, established relationship, cuddles, kissing, teasing, clothes sharing, morning fluff, breakfast
A/N: Sharing a bed with Miguel has me giggling.
Peter is a nervous wreck because this is the first time in a while that he's sharing it with someone other then his ex-wife. He doesn't know which side you want, or if he should take a shower first? The poor man ends up being as stiff as a plank, his arm so awkward around you until you lean up and plant a kiss on his jaw, scratching the other side with your finger and telling him that its just you here, and you've seen him at his best and his worst, so he doesn't need to worry.
Miles honestly offers to sleep on the floor, not even on the couch, on the floor next to the bed. His reasoning? He still wants to talk to you but he doesn't want to climb all over you when he sleeps, which could happen, he tends to move around a lot and will probably and up smacking you in the face or something. That is a risk you're willing to take for a full night of closeness with you boyfriend.
Gwen keep clenching her fists as you approach her bed. She's so tied already that all she wants is to pull you down and hug you tight, her face pressed against your chest and never letting you go. At least not until morning when she can make up for the lack of talking and cuddles with a well planned out breakfast, and only then will she allow herself to freak out about you spending the night in her bed for the first time.
Miguel can't stop staring at you as you come out of the bathroom wearing only his shirt. It hangs off your shoulder and past your legs just right he can't decide if he wants to take it off you or not. One thing that he does know he wants is to lift you up and carry you to bed himself, placing you right on top of him, with your leg straddling his stomach. If you move down from this position now neither of you will get any sleep tonight. So be careful, he's already so on edge.
Hobie teases you until you have to push him onto the bed to shut him up. Well he did mean to only sleep but... okay, okay, he gets it, he won't tease anymore. Can he at least get a good night kiss then, or hasn't he earned one yet? If so then he will try harder next time, which is guaranteed to happen because now that he's been in your bed he never feels like leaving, its so nice cuddling and kissing you all night.
Pavitr runs around his room getting everything ready like its a wedding not a sleepover. Well its the first time you're spending the night with him, in his bed, of course it needs to be perfect and romantic. He needs to sweep you off your feet and into his bed and he needs you to swoon over him as he does so. It doesn't work because he ends up sending both of you toppling to the bed. After the initial embarrassment you both end up laughing about it and eventually getting to sleep.

Okay, but just tell me that Miles G. wouldn't have burst into tears watching The Lion King. ESPECIALLY at the moment of Mufasa's death.
I don't believe you.

"bonito, really?" you shook your head in amusement as you felt his hands go under and up your shirt.
miles looked up from where he was laying on your chest and gave you a smirk, "you know i love my girls, have to show them some love."
you rolled your eyes at his stupidity, but let him touch your boobs through your bra. apparently that wasn't enough for miles because he sat up from his position between your legs. "up." he said.
"nuh huh." you said, burying your head further in the pillow, closing your eyes and spreading your arms and legs. "i'm so comfortable right now, i won't move. if i do that then the comfortable would go away."
"you and your weird ass." miles said, and you couldn't see his actions due to your eyes being closed. "come on, princesa. sit up for me so i can take off your bra."
“nope,” you answered again and made a move to get more comfortable when two big hands took hold of your waist and started pulling you up to a sitting position. your eyes flew open and you grabbed onto the covers of the bed, trying to stay down. “stop!” you yelled at him.
“don’t be dramatic, and stop yelling.” he told you. “my mom will think i’m killing you or some other bullshit.”
he won the tug war and had you sitting in front of him in no time, you crossed your arms, protecting your chest and pouting. “you’re not touching me now.” you huffed.
“bet.” miles arms came around your back, skillful fingers going under your top and undoing the hook of the bra. “now come on, mami. hands off my price.”
“bye, go away.”
he sighed, taking your arms and pulling while you resisted just to annoy him but he won anyway. “now…” he took the bra off without taking off your top since it was loose, it was easy to do.
miles pushed you back to laying down with his head on your chest and this time one hand under your top, gently massaging the soft ball like it was the world’s best stress ball. it didn’t matter to him if they were big or small, he loved the feeling of it in his hand.
“you know, i would love to suck on t—”
“you better not finish that sentence.” you warned.

Pink is readers texting/speaking
Purple is Miles texting/speaking
Miles is 18 in this one!
🐾🎀🧸🎀🐾
“Ion give a fuck what plans you and your lil friends had tonight, I said don’t go out so you’re not goin out.”
For the past two months, Miles has been getting more and more controlling over what you can and can’t do and telling you when you can go out with your friends. It’s been getting on your nerves and while it’s very, very attractive, it’s pissing you off. You barely see your friends anymore and you hate being inside.
“You’re not being fair Miles! I never get to see my friends anymore and I miss them and they miss me!” Even through text he could tell you were pouting right now. Miles could just imagine you kicking your feet on your bed.
“So what, I’m just not enough for you? I’m all you need amor, why do you wanna go see them so badly? You don’t need them.”
“Miles, you know that’s not at all what I’m saying, I’m just saying that I miss my friends and I wanna see them!”
He didn’t understand why you couldn’t get what he was trying to tell you. He just needed you to not go out at night, especially tonight. He couldn’t tell you about him being the Prowler, it’d break your hot pink heart.
“And what I am telling you is that you’re not going out tonight.”
“You can’t tell me what I can and can’t do Miles. I’m not your fucking kid!” You were getting angrier by the minute, every word, burned and angered you even more. Usually you’d just listen to him and stay inside like he asked, but tonight you wanted to see what would happen if you pushed his buttons just a little more…
“You talkin real crazy right now, mamí. Ima let it slide tho because I know you’re just mad and in ya feels. But don’t ever say sum crazy shit like that again, because I remember what happened last time you wanted to be bad and go against what I say. Why not run it back, whatchu say ma?”
You stayed silent, fuming and thinking. He was being so unfair and you had no idea why. You didn’t like being left in the dark and he knew this.
“Now this conversation is over, I got shit to do.”
“You right, this conversation is over. Fuck you Morales.”
You silenced your phone and with a shaky hand and butterflies in your stomach, you put your coat on and walked out your house.
After about 20 minutes you started to feel bad. You didn’t know why you were so mean and disobedient to him. You knew he only wanted what was best for you, all he ever did was spoil you and make you feel special. Even though you felt guilty, the fire in your stomach from the anticipation of what was to come made you feel even better.
You had just walked out the door of the club you and your friends went to and started your route home when you heard a noise behind you. You looked around but found nothing. You sped up your pace and started to walk towards your house when you heard it again, this time next to you.
When you looked over, you saw nothing but an empty street and a few lamps on. You continued your walk when something hit your head. You could feel yourself falling but didn’t feel the concrete below you. The last thing you saw being purple AF1’s.
🐾🎀🧸🎀🐾
When you woke up, you were back in your house, an ice pack under your head and blankets pulled up to your chin. You heard your tv on in your living room and quickly got up to investigate. When you opened the door, you were met with the sight of your boyfriend in your couch, sitting there like nothing had happened. His legs spread, elbows on his knees and hands clasped together. The thing that caught your eye was the mechanic claw on his right hand.
When he noticed your presence he looked up at you and tilted his head. The glare on his face reignited that fire in your stomach. He stared at you, saying nothing at all as you shifted on your feet, nervous.
When you finally did decide to speak, your tone came out nervous and shaken and not at all like how you meant for it to sound.
“Why are you in my house Miles?”
“I can’t just come over when I wanna?”
“Answer my questions for once! Why are you in my house and why do you have on that same claw that the vigilante on the news wears?”
He knew you were a little daft but he didn’t expect this kind of idiocy.
“C’mon baby, put two and two together. I know you’re smarter than ya look.”
You knew the truth but you didn’t wanna believe it. You stayed silent, staring at him and fiddling with your hands. You were overwhelmed with fear and arousal, confusing you even more than ever.
Once he recognized the look of understanding on your face, he leaned back and curled his finger towards you in a demanding way.
“C’mere, we gotta talk.”
You sat down on the couch next to him, thighs touching and your gaze locked on the ground.
“Don’t be like that, look at me mamí”
When you looked at him, he could see the betrayal in your eyes. But he could also see the need and wanting. Feeling naked under his gaze, you looked back down at your floor,
“You’re him? You’re the guy from the news?” You voice quivered as you spoke, shaking from either fear or the amount of need and attraction you’re feeling right now. This man has killed people, he could kill you at any point! So why does that thought turn you on so much?
“Oh so now you wanna talk?” He asked, a lilt in his tone that let you know he was smirking without even having to look at him
“Don’t be mean Miles. This isn’t the time for jokes.”
“Yea I’m him, what’s it matter to you?” You knew that under the anger and accusation in his voice that he was feeling vulnerable. You crawled on his lap and laid your head on his shoulder and hugged him.
He froze at first, confused with the random affection, but slowly accepted the warmth. “I love you regardless of what you’re doing and who you’re killing.”
Miles almost wanted to scream at you to be afraid of him. He’s killed people. He’s hurt people, innocents even! Why weren’t you running?
You pulled back and reached up to cup his face and inched closer to him, looking down at his lips for permission. He closed the gap between you two and kissed you softly, like he missed you. It was warm and passionate, it wasn’t like this often. You didn’t often get this softness from him. But when you did, it made you feel like the most special girl in the world.
When you pulled back for air, you smiled, giddy with the thought of having your boyfriend back and not mad at you. But when he spoke to you, you knew you were in trouble.
“Don’t think I forgot what happened earlier. I was the one who brought you home, laid you down and tucked you in.” Miles looked down at you, smiling as if something was funny. You couldn’t move, the grip he had on your hips was tight, almost like a warning.
“Are you gonna hurt me?” You knew the answer, you always did. You knew what happened when you disobeyed him and what he says. You remembered what happened the last time.
Miles laughed, a loud hearty one, head tilted back and canines exposed. He chest shook with laughter and you shook in fear on his lap. When he looked down at you once more, he looked different, almost predatory.
“Oh chiquita, Ima do so much more.”

I’d Choose Her (Earth 42 Miles Morales x Spiderwoman!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: After continuing both you and Miles’ duties as the Prowler and Spider-Woman and keeping everything balanced between you two Miles gets an employer that already has a trap set in stone to trap in the person who he has to kill. All he has to do is commit the murder. But his employer did not tell him who their victim is to prevent any biases the Prowler may have. He did not have any biases except when it came to his lady.
Word Count: 1.8K
WARNINGS: None :)
Author’s Note: I still have Earth 42 Miles brain rot in my brain so here is some more stuff to scratch at that lol
You were laying in Miles’ bed on your phone with Miles’ arms wrapped around your waist with his chest pressed against your back. He was lightly snoring into your neck but you tried your best not to laugh due to his breath tickling your neck. After taking multiple videos of him peacefully asleep you check the time and it is almost 9 at night.
You carefully turn around to face Miles and begin planting light kisses around his face. With each kiss his face contorts and changes until his eyes blink slowly open. His eyes stayed slender and slim as you stared at him until you planted a kiss onto his lips. You pull away a little bit until he comes up to you and kisses you again with a light smile.
“Hola mami.” He said in a lowly raspy voice which always made you weak at the knees.
“Hola mi amor.” You respond with a smile which he returns until he plops his head back onto the pillow, still keeping eye contact with you. “It’s almost 9.” You say.
He groans until he brings you in closer so his face is nuzzled into your chest which caused you to chuckle.
“Come on I have to do patrol and you have that thing with your new employer.” You say as you kiss the top of his braids.
He groans into your chest until he finally sits upright and turns his head back and forth to crack his neck. You stared at his bare toned back for awhile as you laid down and began rubbing his back with your palms and tracing his back muscles with your nails. He relaxed to your touch until you began getting up too.
You walked over to your overnight bag you brought and started taking off your hoodie and sweatpants to reveal your black and white Spider-Woman suit. Miles began getting up from the bed to stand behind you and place his hands on your waist to give you a kiss on the nape of your neck.
He began putting on his Prowler suit and you had to admit you found him really good looking in the suit. You could stare at him all day if you could. You snap out of your daydream as you begin putting on your all black Jordan 12’s.
“Is it a little weird how your employer dude said he already has a trap set in place for your victim yet he hasn’t told you how it works or who the victim is until the day of your kill?” You ask Miles as he puts on his back gear.
“I was thinkin’ the same thing ma.” Miles replied. “Like since I’m the one that actually doing the killing shouldn’t I know the plan?”
“Exactly.” You reply.
You begin heading towards the window and begin opening it up. You turn around and see that Miles is all ready to go. You two quickly kiss each other on the lips, smile, and put your guys’ mask on.
“Be safe, yo te amo.” (I love you) You say.
“I’ll try and make this thing quick but be back by 11:30 or else I’m gonna be looking for you.” Miles says through the distorted voice. “Yo te amo mas.”
You head towards the window, looking back and forth to make sure no one is around, and shoot your web to the building across the street. While mid air you scan the empty street and give Miles a quick thumbs up before you turn around and see Miles dropping down to the ground with no sound.
----
You are almost at the end of your patrol route which is a quick check of the alleys in the more sketchy area of Brooklyn. You always tried to make this last part of your patrols quick because you wanted to make it out alive from your nightly patrols.
You swing through the last alleyway on the area which you know by the back of your hand but then you did not realize until you were already in it that there was a clear netting in front of you. The momentum of your swinging and the collision of the netting had caused you to get tangled in the large net as you fell from about 20 feet.
“Fuck.” You say under your breath.
Your spidey senses begin to tingle and you quickly turn around and see someone coming closer towards you. You tried to tear through the net but the man had already threw you over your shoulder like you were toys in Santa’s bag. You kept on trying to squirm out of the grip of the man but he began walking over to a car parked around the corner and threw you into the trunk.
“You son of a-” You began to yell until the man held a piece of cloth over your nose and mouth and soon you fell asleep.
----
Your eyes blink open and you feel a blanket thrown over your whole body. You tried not to move as much because you could feel that there were people in the room watching your every move. Just one sign of disobidience and your life could be taken away, you knew you had to be careful with what you do.
“Here she is.” Two new people came into the room. The man spoke in a low raspy voice, slightly sounding like a creep.
The cool air finally hit your body when the blanket was pulled off of you. There were three body guards behind you but your eyes widened and heart dropped when you realized who was in front of your, the Prowler, Miles. You knew Miles’ eyes widened underneath the mask. You were Miles’ unknown victim. But you knew how strong the connection and loyalty you and Miles had so in the end you were confident that you would make it out of here alive, you were even cocky.
The three bodyguards left the room and closed the door behind them, leaving you, the Prowler, and the employer alone. The employer next to Miles rubbed his hands together and laughed softly.
“I’ve finally done it.” He congratulated himself. “I’m going to get my 900k.” He snickered. To be honest you had forgotten there was still a bounty on your head especially after Miles completely abandoned that mission once he found out your identity.
You slouched down in your seat and let out a loud and clear yawn through your mask. The employer guy looked at you in confusion and disgust. You did feel cocky in this situation but you were very confident in what Miles’ choice was.
“What are you yawning about?” The man’s ego was bruised. “You are about to be killed! There’s no way out of here!” The man came closer to you and placed his hand on the back of the chair and leaned it back a little so you were looking up at him.
“Aww was your ego bruised just by my yawning?” You teased which was pissing him off. “But nah I’m pretty sure I’ll make it out of here alive, I feel safe even!” You say in a preppy tone.
The man turned to look at the Prowler as he went around you to stand behind you. He gripped onto both of your shoulder tightly causing you to wince. Miles looked at the two of you with nothing to say.
“Go on!” The man yelled into your ear. “KILL HER!” He roughly gripped onto your face to point towards Miles.
That was the last straw for him. He quickly dashed towards you two and gave a hard punch to the man next to your face, knocking him down to his ass. He held his face as he looked up at Miles in anger.
“What the fuck are you doing?” He yelled. “Kill her!”
“You touched her.” Miles distorted voice said as he slowly walked closer and closer to the man.
“What?” The man asked in anger. “If you let her live you won’t get that 400k I promised you.” The man said cockily, thinking Miles was going to choose money over you.
Miles grabs the man’s face by his clawed hand and held him up. His feet began to dangle as he held onto Miles’ hand trying to prevent him from choking.
“I’d choose her.” Miles said until he looked over at you. “Turn away mi amor.” He instructed. You turned your head away from the scene and heard a loud thud from behind you, the body dropping.
Miles came into your line of sight and his mask started to unveil his handsome face. He gently lifted your mask to reveal your mouth and nose and a smile came to your face. He bent down to you and began untying you from the ropes.
“Don’t turn around.” He reaffirmed.
No matter how violent your duty as Spider-Woman can get Miles always tried his best to keep anything violent from his job away from you. You loved how even though his job was violent he never would let you see the things he had seen. He did not want you to be scared and traumatized by something so gruesome, he wanted to protect you from anything and everything even if you had seen some stuff from your duty as Spider-Woman.
He offers his hand to you and you take it has he helps you up from your seat.
“I’d always choose you.” He said as he gave you a a deep kiss on the lips with his left hand on your waist.
Once you two drew away you pulled down your mask and his mask began to hide his face again. You two were about to exit the room until you remember there are still the bodyguards outside. You stop Miles by placing a hand on his chest and he stops all of his movements. You turn to him with a smile underneath your mask.
“Now let me do this part.” You say and he backs away with a hand extended towards the door, allowing you to go first.
You walk backwards away from the door and shoot two webs at the top of the door. You swing through, breaking the door, causing the three bodyguards to duck down quickly. You plant yourself on the top corner of the hallway and shoot webs at one of the guard’s shoulders and plant a hard kick to their face, knocking them out. You’re on the ground sitting on your heels back near the open door and you shoot one web at one of the bodyguards and another on the other.
You yank them together as the headbutt each other, knocking each other out. All three bodyguards knocked down in a pile as you turn around to face Miles again. You stick out your hand to him.
“Ready to go?” You ask him and he nods, taking your hand in his.
As Miles walks out of the room you walk on top of the pile of men while Miles guides you two out of the abandonded building. You two walk out of the building hand in hand. Ironic, Brooklyn’s most feared villain saving Brooklyn’s hero and walking out hand in hand.
