So! Some good news regarding the tribal mob mod situation on the QSMP!

I got in contact with the mod's creator and against my expectations, they were actually very open to hearing feedback and didn't realize that people still saw their mobs as native stereotypes. They were upset and remorseful that the mobs were being refereed to as natives, as that wasn't their intention. Apparently, the original idea was a specific creature from Zulu mythology, that they then attempted to expand out into it's own thing without realizing how it looked to someone not approaching it from that context.

Once I explained to them what the issue was and how it was coming across to people, they saw the problem and realized that they didn't want people to think that about the their mod pack nor did they want to hurt people by invoking racist stereotypes.

We talked for awhile about the problem and various ways to fix it, and they actually really do seem to care about the problem and want to do better. They're going to work with their team to redo the mob design/mechanisms to fix the situation and will get better feedback and work to avoid doing anything like this in the future. I'm actually pretty impressed by how open they were to feedback and how willing they were to want to do better once they were told that people were being hurt by the portrayal in their mod.

Time will tell exactly what will happen there, but for now, they are aware of the issue, they're sorry, and they're going to work on fixing it. So there's that to be hopeful about.

xenia pm model render!

hey im back!!! made a render of my fav trans fox girl xenia! fuckin love this lil gal. i had a total breakdown while modeling this but then had a ton of fun figuring out how to use higher-res textures on the eyes n stuff. im really happy with how this turned out, this is actualyl fucking rad. i havent gotten to rigging her in-game, but ill probably offer her as a prefab like my loona model (which i really need to redo the textures for, now that i've discovered the evangelical power of using palettes. i want to try to give xennie (xennie?) here some different expressions cos she actually has a mouth and more articulate eyes. ill try to post that when i get around to doing that, and might even make an alt without the extra detailed fx. after this ill probably complete another commission or two, just until i get my next hyperfixation to model. glad this lil project could help me get back on my feet mentally, that was nice.

Thanks to Isle of Berk, I was able to recolor a texture for the Triple Stryke to make em into Strike!

Don't have the knowledge just yet on how to add more textures, but this is better for me anyways, enjoying my adventure with my fave in mc after sod's shutdown!

And one at sunrise too:

He will always be with me in one way or another, just like he has been before, we are just adventuring in a new, undiscovered land is all! (Other dragons are all at an Isle I made for my httyd world/oc au that I probably will share later on on my main blog)

Also the animations are really good, color variation is nice for every dragon and is very promising for the future of httyd in general.

yeah!!!!! shes finished!!!!! i rushed a b it to get this out tonight but oh my GOD this turned out so good. like wtf. i think this is my new fav model ive made. every part of this turned otu so perfect!!! i love the hair colors, it reminds me of like those glitter gel pens :) also this isn't rigged for in-game stuff yet, itll be hopefully made working soon and added as a prefab to my carrd page!
