I sighed as I approached the rocks, sitting on one of them, then turned around and my gaze moved to the half-destroyed church of Elleh surrounded by the ruins of the floating city of Farum Azula, then on the statue of Rosus pointing to the catacomb just ahead and, finally, the Stormveil Castle on the background, which rose above the headland with its tall towers and banners flapping in the wind, yet now bare of its lord: his blood still stained the blade of my axe, making patches of rust that glittered in the glare of the sun. What the heck am I doing here? the question echoed in my mind as I looked up at the sky, almost hoping to get another important tip from a man who was better to leave behind. What had really brought me there, to seek the White Face? Gideon Ofnir had enlightened me about the other owners of Great Runes, yet I had wanted to prolong my stay in Limgrave, deciding to join that creature with ragged clothes, stained with fresh blood. Was I there out of simple curiosity to understand that being? Or was I drawn to the very darkness that lived in him? I had to admit that the White Face knew how to be a magnet that, strangely, drew me to him.

How would Morgott and Mohg each react to falling for a tarnished who uses music to soothe the nightmares of omens and to charm the wild creatures of the Lands Between into remaining passive around them?

This was a very fun request to work on! Thank you for sending it in! (Sorry it is so short)

Morgott would find himself taken back to a time when the lands were still peaceful, and the wind carried different melodies along with golden leaves of the Erdtree even far beneath the capital. But over the recent years of war, the music, much like the light of the tree had become dimmed. Morgott would be very impressed with the Tarnished with an instrument and would often ask them to play a piece for him. Often, he will also join them as they practice, carefully seating himself in corner to no disturb them and listen to them play. (If the Tarnished does not feel disturbed by him of course)

Their music fills them with much nostalgia. But at the same time, Morgott feels hopeful that someday more life will return to the Lands in Between. He finds solace in those quiet moments he shares with the Tarnished he will often begin to speak of the past, his early years, stories about Leyndell before the Shattering ...

Morgott would be very encouraging of the Tarnished’s talent, even going as far as to search for old records about music in the capital's vast library. He would also be very impressed by their abilities to pacify wild animals and share stories about similar abilities he heard about before. Depending on the Tarnished’s role in his life Morgott might ask them to accompany a group of soldiers or pilgrims on their travels to assure a safe passage to them.

Of course, if the Tarnished had time for him, Morgott would love nothing more than to hear them play a melody for him to sooth his worried mind. But he would not ask them for this out of his own volition. He wouldn’t want to take up more of their time than necessary.

Mogh would be very fascinated by the effect the Tarnished’s music had on wild animals. Once they breach the topic with him, he will ask for a demonstration at once and lead them to a cliff side from where their music reaches down into the valley. To his astonishment, he would see how the wild crows that would often ravage the lands surrounding the Moghwyn’s Palace would suddenly become calmer. Their screeching would grow quiet, and they would begin to calmly pick for cadavers in the blood pools surrounding the ruins.

Mogh would be very delighted by this strange ability his Tarnished companion has that he would completely forget himself for a moment. The dull throbbing in his head where his horn pierces his skin has lessened, and he feels somewhat calmer. Mogh however is completely absorbed thinking of all the different possibilities how the Tarnished’s ability could aid the dynasty. He would ask how they acquired this talent, whether it was something they came up with themselves or something that was taught to them by someone. He would tell them stories of similar abilities he had heard about. Travelers whose song would drive the listeners mad or winged women whose woeful melodies brought anyone to tears.

Mogh would be very cautious about the effects the Tarnished music would have on him. He has lived with both the negative and positive traits of his omen heritage all his life and he has never felt ashamed or pained by them. Even if the Tarnished only means to help him and ease his nightmares. And besides, when he met the formless mother deep below the capital, she made him see the true potential that laid in his cursed blood. The Tarnished is of course welcome to play for him, if they wish to do so, but he does not require their ability to sooth his mind.

Miquella gets a discount for kids and then falls asleep on a ride and gets lost.

Morgott is on a rollercoaster, trying to feel alive and accidentally bludgeons everyone around him with his tail.

Mogh is looking for Miquella in the child section, leaving behind a trail of blood but it looks good for a children amusement park.

Godrick is winning every prize throwing balls at the targets with all of his hands.

Malenia feels hot under the armor and goes second phase, thus getting kicked out of the park for public scandalous behaviour.

Godfrey can't go in because no pet is allowed.

Ranni is creating popsicles with her powers.

Godwyn is buying Ranni's popsicles.

Radahan is on the horses merry-go-round.

Rykard wants everyone to stay togethaaahr for a picture.

Let's do Mohg first:

1.) Nothing actually. I adore Mohg's canon. It is twisted, dark and fucked up and I fully lean into it. 2.) A canon or headcanon hill I will die on Mohg is a villain hands down. He is a complex, interesting and really cool villain, but he is still a villain nonetheless. 5.) Best personality trait He loves people. He loves them so much. His love is so prevalent that they can't ever leave. For the dynasty, with love. 6.) Worst personality trait He loves people. He loves them so much. 1.) Canon I outright reject Can we do fanon here? Because I outright reject the idea that Miquella is the villain in the whole situation with Mohg or that he worked with him. FromSoft loves their tragic stories and Miquella is one of the most tragic ones. I don't have anything against people wanting to explore a different interpretation, I just am a bit peeved by people acting like the canon implications with Mohg being the villain can't be true. 2.) A canon or headcanon hill I will die on Miquella hated his child body with a passion. He hated that nobody took him seriously. He hated that he had to use manipulation so that people would even listen to him. He wanted to be an adult. He wanted to look like an adult. He is like Claudia from Interview with a vampire. 5.) Best personality trait We don't know anything about his personality unfortunately, so this would all be headcanon material. In my headcanon, I like to think that Miquella is very very smart actually and is a problem solver and that is kinda fun to write. 6.) Worst personality trait I dunno, I haven't developed Miquella enough to know his worst personality trait already. Maybe that he is too codependent on Malenia and expects her to solve all the problems he can't solve.

Favourite sweets/ desserts Headcanons for the (demi)gods!

Does an idea ever hit you in the face like a brick? Because that’s what inspired me to write this headcanon list. Kept it a bit shorter than usual, because I would also love to hear other peoples ideas/ thoughts on this.

Marika: A part of me of thinks she would eat whole sugar cubes, just because. The other part of me is convinced that she does not actually eat food unless in the company of family.

Godfrey: With the harsh conditions in the badlands, I don’t think sweets are of a particular concern for Godfrey and his warriors when all they aim to do is to survive. I don’t think outside of dried fruits he ever ate something that could be considered sweet. When he was still Elden Lord, he liked to eat applie pie because it wasn’t overly sweet and still a bit savory.

Godwyn: The wealth of his heritage allows him to enjoy all kinds of delicacies. Whatever he is served will usually have some extravagance to it. Picture a chocolate cake with flakes of leaf gold sprinkled on top of it. Godwyn himself doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth however.

Morgott: Claims that overly sweet food makes his teeth food and in general shies away from eating any of it. He mostly sticks to cake and other pastries, with his favorite being apple Pie and also Baumkuchen (Because that literally translates to treecake and it is very funny to me)

Mogh: Dark chocolate in combination with any type of fruits is his go too. He loves chocolate bars with nuts and grapes inside. I can also definitely see him as the type to enjoy very expensive pralines.

Godrick: I imagine that in addition to all the other health issues going on, Godrick probably has inherited all of his ancestors allergies and dental problems. So, he has bad teeth and has to watch what he eats. In addition to that is sugar very expensive and he hasn’t really been blessed with a fortune from his family. He eats dried fruits, which can be hard to chew tough and uses honey to sweeten food.

Miquella: Ice cream and marshmallows. Even better if both are combined. He would probably snack the latter as often as possible, but Loretta ended up moving the glass to the upper shelves where he can not reach it. He also likes various fruits, most of which are grown on the land of the Haligtree.

Malenia: Miquella always shares his ice cream with her, but she has a tendency to get brain freeze from it. She also has some bad memories of rotten fruit, so she tends to avoid baked goods or other desserts containing it. Nuts however are a different matter, with her favorite being hazelnut. And a slice of hazelnut cake will definitely cheer her up.

Radagon: Probably the one who makes all the desserts. Unlike Marika he actually eats sweets, but doesn’t have a particular favorite. However, he definitely makes cookies for the kids only to eat the majority of them himself.

Rennala: Croissants. She enjoys a hearty breakfast with her family before a long day and croissants are always a must. She eats them either with fruit or different types of jam. (And yes, she is aware how ironic the resemblance between her favorite dessert and her crown is.)

Ranni: Blueberry tart. I definitely can see her as the type of person to sit down and enjoy a slice of tart and some tea or perhaps have a picnic with Blaidd, Iji and her Tarnished.

Radahn: Pancakes or waffles, topped of with syrup and fruits. He is just like his mother in that he believes and extensive breakfast is the perfect start in the day. Leonard on the other hand gets to eat an apple as a treat.

Rykard: Candied fruits all the way! He is especially fond of candied raisin and plums. He also loves sour cherries and will eat them raw before anyone has a chance to use them as ingredients. He likes to try new, unique flavors and doesn’t shy away from adding some questionable ingredients to his meals.
