A question, does Lucio's prosthetic arm work or does it just hang on his shoulder? And if the other LI lost an arm what design of their prosthetic arm would be

Honest question: have you played the game?

Not only is he posed in a lot of the art using his arm, he's often described using his arm in narration, and even purely in-universe, why would Lucio kidnap and force two alchemists to build him a prosthetic arm if it wasn't going to do anything?

But onto hypotheticals!

It's kind of cute thinking about what approaches they'd have to needing a prosthetic.

I feel like Asra's would be either made by his parents or self-made, ironically resembling Lucio's arm the most because of those influences. But it'd definitely have more interesting use in channeling magic.

Julian's would be similarly self-made/scrapped together. Lots of exposed metal and leather straps with more of a hook and crude joint than any life-like articulation. I imagine they'd be some magic element but a lot more downplayed.

In contrast, Muriel's is almost all magic. He carved the pieces himself and worked with Asra to fix it in place. While it acts a lot more like a natural arm, I think it's more prone to shorting out.

Nadia's is definitely designed by herself. Even if she had the pieces made and enchanted by other artisans, it's mechanical and elegant in a way only she could design. Like Lucio's, it can have additional covers and accesories.

And Portia's is probably the least expensive and a gift from Mazelinka. It's another case where it's magical, but Portia never knew the extent of it. It's cute, wooden, and jointed like a doll, with a practical hook, and she spent the first days with painting it.

This story is long so scroll if you cba reading.

It's 2005, a band explodes on MySpace. They're dressed like you and their lyrics are a mirror to your life.

Bleeding heck, who the fuck are the Arctic Monkeys?

After 19 years on repeat it's now 2024. Myself and @conor_bloodfilms are travelling back from Paris.

We arrive at Gare Du Nord and Duffy stops in his tracks. He whispers to me "I think that's Alex Turner."

"F**k off!" | immediately reply. I gaze over at a guy wearing a leather jacket with long brown hair, his face adorned with aviators. We should probably stop staring as it's getting weird, sexually and aggressively weird.

Turns out it is bloody Alex Turner, the man who's provided the soundtrack to my life! He strolls past and disappears into the Parisian platform crowd. A missed opportunity.

We board our train back to London. We look to our left and there's Alex. Sitting in his seat accompanied by a notepad. He's probably writing the next Arctic Monkeys hit "Two gawping pricks on a train". We really need to stop staring.

I tell Duffers I'm going in, he stops me. Reminds me that I'm a fully functioning adult and not to create a scene. Christ, he's right! I feel like I'm 15 years old again, someone get me a Strongbow and whack Dancing Shoes on, kin hell lad!

Eventually myself and Con engage, it's a surreal experience. Alex is polite and returns conversation in a soft friendly manner. The whole situation is just bloody lovely.

I awkwardly ask if I can take his portrait, fully aware that it could result in an awkward exchange and destroy this wonderful moment. He smiles and obliges, he's effortlessly cool, asks for direction and I take a few snaps.

We disembark the train, I felt quite emotional and that's embarrassing to admit. Maybe it was the jet lag, the caffeine and croissant overload? Or maybe it was just the rekindling of my youth.

This all might sound trivial, however, for me these portraits are deeply personal serving a reminder that life is a series of fortunate events and when fully appreciated can conjure up some pretty awesome memories.

I feel like some people have like zero comprehension of sub-text and it shows. I had to read that there aren’t written proofs about Robb considering Theon his best friend in the entire asoiaf saga. Not to mention people saying he showed Theon a bit of attention sporadically…

I mean, sure, it’s not written anywhere “they were best friends” and we are missing Robb POV’s chapters, but their relationship is shown enough through Bran and Cat’s POVs and neither of them is particularly warm toward Theon to start with.

Do you want proofs?

1. Theon being the person who stops Robb from punching Joffrey (Arya POV) - it implies they are close enough for Theon to understand Robb’s reactions before everyone else

2. Theon not leaving with Ned for King’s Landing when it would have been the rational choice considering that Theon was Ned’s hostage/ward + Catelyn resenting the fact that Robb listens to Theon’s advice

3. Bran wondering why Robb kept Theon around - with the entire situation which was going on at that moment, someone would have expected and understood if he just didn’t care about his father’s ward

4. Bran being jealous of the time Robb spends with Theon - I’m still behind with my asoiaf reread but it was in his tirade against Robb the Lord

5. I’m sending Theon, mother, Grey Wind come! - the only reason why he would have sent him is for Theon to go back to the Islands considering that he could have sent anyone else

6. The man I considered my closest friend took my home and killed my brothers. - I know it’s a quote from the show but it’s from back when Martin was still workin with D&D and he could have changed it but didn’t?

I really don’t know why we never got Robb’s POV especially while Cat goes to negotiate with Renly and during the battle of the Craig because it would have given more an idea of what was going on, even more than having Theon’s chapters from the beginning (which is something I’d love to read too), but I guess it’s fairly clear that Robb did care about Theon A LOT and the entire misunderstanding with Bran and the wildings was pretty much a once in a life time reaction and not something which happened often (otherwise it would have made no sense for the development of Theon’s storyline).

im gonna be real i don't understand the ps5 has no games thing because xbox games are like... has there been an xbox game people didn't openly mock since Reach? like i get not liking sony's super high budget prestige games that cost 200 million dollars, i'm sick of it too jim ryan greenlit 800 live service games and told people not to make sequels to old ips, not to work on backwards compatibility, and not to even continue current franchises. but at least they make games, microsoft bought the biggest publishers in the west to fire everyone and throw them in the gamepass mines
