For my Astarion playthrough in early Act 1, I 100% was a murderous dick. Honestly was planning on burning down the Grove and just giving in to all his worst impulses.

Didn't plan on romancing Karlach at all, in fact was planning on doing a full evil run and knew she'd leave if the Grove was destroyed. Lae'zel and Astarion are each others toxic enablers for most of Act 1, roleplayed that Astarion sees her as his best option to find out more information on the mindflayers/tadpoles so he flirts/sleeps with Lae'zel to gain an advantage. The sex is very transactional.

Didn't recruit Wyll even though Karlach wanted to (Astarion would have actually killed Wyll if Karlach hadn't basically told everyone to Calm The Fuck Down), because Wyll is a monster hunter and at that point Astarion hadn't revealed that he was a vampire. Waaaaaay too much of a risk for him.

Karlach honestly disapproved a lot during the beginning but then, at the goblin camp, Karlach finally told him something that REALLY got under his skin.

Karlach told Astarion, "So, did that make you feel big? Did it make you feel strong? You're pathetic..."

The voice acting was great because she sounded DISGUSTED with Astarion's sniveling little ass.

And then when Astarion kills the Gur in a fit of rage/panic (headcanon that Astarion freaks out since the Gur just says his name in front of everyone and now the jig is up), Karlach actually has a long, stern conversation with him and she actually empathizes. She tells him that they're in this "together-together" so long as he doesn't keep secrets.

And uh, he didn't see that coming. But her response actually got through to him.

So yeah, guess it was a full-on enemies to friends to lovers arc.

deeply intrigued by the prospect of what your modded skyrim is like so, what's a few of your favorite mods? (One of my personal favorites, though its been a bit potentially tricky in the past, is Tainted Blood of the Dragonborn to let you be a werewolf and vampire at the same time, along with mods that enhance the experience of either, its just so much fun)

So this may sound cheap but the core of my mods right now is not available to the public- I'm playtesting the beta of an overhaul by the supremely talented and exceedingly cool @lightwolf that's sort of a spiritual succession of their old Aetherial Traveler overhaul. This is all on Anniversary Edition, so I've also got creation club stuff in there such as Fishing, Survival, and Camping.

As far as mods anybody can actually use, some big ones I have currently are:

Skyrim Unbound (alternative start mod with lots of options, is how I'm playing a werewolf without doing the Companions questline)

Hunterborn (mod about immersively skinning/harvesting/butchering animals and monsters you hunt, also adds foraging functionality and more than a few unmarked secrets for you to stumble across on a playthrough. I'm very fond of this one)

Wounds (mod that adds immersive injuries, so that aside from taking HP damage from injuries you have a chance to bruise, take lacerations, or even break bones, which take a realistic in-game amount of time to heal. This one is well-balanced to add a little extra risk to fighting and a little extra need to take care of your character without being excessively punishing)

Seasons of Skyrim (causes the seasons to shift; by default, over a fairly long period of in-game time)

A Dog's Life (dog companions level with you, have complex commands, and there are also stray dogs to win the trust of over time)

A Cat's Life (same author as ADL, adds cat companions, the process of bonding with the strays is more involved and some of them will hiss and attack you if approached carelessly)

Convenient Horses (mod that lets you train your horses, increase their attributes, change their saddles, summon them to you, and other fun stuff. you... may be noticing a pattern re: "all my followers are animals")

the Vanilla Matches clothing mods (causes clothes to always appear exactly as their model is- thus, every outfit now has a male and female version that can be equipped by anyone regardless of their body. by default this also disseminates to NPCs so you'll see men wearing dresses and women wearing pants a reasonable amount of the time. Small change but a very good one)

Northborn Scars (I frankly found the scar options in the base game a bit meh- it's hard to roleplay a character who got traumatically mauled by a bear, for example, when all the scar options are so limited)

Go To Bed and Use Those Blankets (two different mods that just add some animations and effects that show your character actually going to bed tucked in under blankets when they sleep)

Security Overhaul SKSE series (ok these are all-but trivial but they are extremely cool- it basically makes the lockpicking interface situationally sensitive so you'll actually see a cage padlock if you're picking one, or a trap trigger, or a cool dwemer locking mechanism.)

I could go on and on (I have a lot of mods) but these are a few I'd recommend. I get all my mods from Nexusmods with little exception so if I haven't listed anything you think is excessively cool but not on there I probably haven't seen it.

Deep in the Scottish Highlands, there is a camp shrouded in mystery, myth, and folklore, it's halls open only to those who hear its call. It is the mystic call of a safe haven for the children of Norse and Celtics deities.

Here, demigods learn how to harness the powers of their lineage, train to protect themselves in the outside world and connect to their roots. Unlike it's sister camps, the Norse and Celtic deities have always drawn their power from the land itself, rich in myth and tradition. The Scottish Highlands have been its home for a millennia, awaiting each new generation of demigods to arrive.

This is a 18+ server inspired by the Percy Jackson series but you don't need to be caught up on it to join, if you're ready to fight monsters and discover new abilities then you’ll fit right in!

I honestly can't tell if this post is an "obvious troll" or if I'm just hoping it is. There's a very good chance it's fake but I had to share it.

I'm sure most have heard of the CW show "supernatural". About two brothers who fight demons and monsters.

My sister was a huge fan while the show was airing. Engaged in all areas of the fandom, like, insane super fan. I never really got into it like she did but was still involved in fandom spaces.

Anyway, no beating around the bush, she was hugely into wincest (the romantic and sexual relationship between the two brothers). Wrote fic, edited youtube videos, etc. She even made like a wincest tumblr series with her ex girlfriend roleplaying as the two characters.

So you can imagine my shock when she gave birth to twins this past month and announced their names as Sam & Dean.

I was a little taken aback but hoped somewhere that it was a joke. They have three older kids who also have fandom names (not supernatural necessarily, but across fandoms) and so I wasn't really holding up hope.

I called her up and asked what the boys names really were and she informed me they were, in fact, called Sam & Dean.

I told her it was really fucking weird and she told me it didn't matter because they weren't real and she didn't actually condone incest.

I called her a freak and said it wasn't normal or fair to the boys. What if they found out, you know?

She told me I was overreacting and to either support her bringing the babied into the world or leave her alone.

I left it at that & my mom later text me to ask what was going on. She knows my sister used to ship the brothers so I told her and she was quiet but ended up telling me that it wasn't the same and I needed to apologise because she was upset.

I disagree. I think her choice was horrible and she deserves to feel shamed for it.

So, AITA? Am I actually in the wrong here? I know she's struggling right now, but still.

ETA; Additional information; They have a son called Severus and they seem to be encouraging "snape" behaviours in him (keeping his hair long, forcing him into like, chemistry summer camps and shit). Makes me feel like they're living vicariously through their kids or something.
