“your life isn’t going to be what you thought”
it was meant to be a quick study but ended up as a whole religious painting (and I was so right for it xD)

Stop pretending, Moiraine. I think you're afraid. You don't want me to know how weak you feel. How unprepared. Overwhelmed.Because then you'll have to face it yourself. You can't hurt me anymore, Moiraine. It took me a long time to accept what you said, about us not being equals, but I understand it now. And I believe in what you do, even now, when I know not half of it. The only reason that I was able to say that you're not my equal is that I've known one thing to be true since the first day we met. You have always been my better. Let me back in.

You know what, fuck it. Wheel of Time characters ghost hunting.
Rand does not necessarily believe in ghosts but if there is a ghost he Will try to punch it; but only because it scared one of his friends.
Mat goes in making fun of the whole thing but he’s absolutely terrified the whole time, he jumps at every noise but will deny it to his grave.
Perrin does not believe in ghosts but he does believe in the lack of structural integrity to abandoned buildings and is not happy about it.
Egwene does not believe in ghosts but she owns a ridiculous amount of ghost hunting equipment and takes the whole investigation very seriously despite this.
Nynaeve does not believe in ghosts, thinks your stupid for believing in ghosts, and is only coming to make sure no one hurts themselves.
Elayne surprisingly does believe in ghosts, though she’s very scientific about it. She will prove ghosts are real and refuses to hear otherwise.
Tuon does not believe in “ghosts” don’t be ridiculous that’s a children’s story- demons however-
Avienda does believe in ghosts and thinks doing investigations are extremely rude and disrespectful to the spirits
Faile does not believe in ghosts and is only here because Perrin is here.
Min does believe in ghosts and has in fact seen ghosts, she nearly broke Mat’s arm when he teased her about performing a seance
Gawyn does not believe in ghosts and didn’t want to come, but upon hearing Rand was going to be there he insisted on coming to “protect” Egwene. He spends the entire night glaring at Rand.
Galad does not believe in ghosts but if they Were real it would be wrong to disturb them. He declines coming on principle.
Berelain doesn’t believe in ghosts but was half tempted to go just to annoy Faile, she decided it was too much effort and stayed home with Galad.
Morraine, Lan and Suian all don’t believe in ghosts and think that everyone’s wasting time to doing something so ridiculous
Thom does not believe in ghosts but pretends he does so he can tell scary stories to the boys and scare them because they intrinsically believe everything he says. He finds this very funny.

I have a genuine question for people who watched the Wheel Of Time show while having read the books -
Why did the showwriters change so much stuff? Like, not only did they change some of the worldbuilding and the magic system, but they also removed major character arcs and character moments, changed the characterization and personalities of pretty much all the characters except Egwene, remove many important objects that become extremely important later and even change who the main character is from Rand to Moraine
Edit: Also please dont use the excuse of "oh think of the show as separate from the book". The showrunners advertised it as a WOT adaption, not a story based very loosely on WOT.
Edit 2: Mostly everyone has responded saying that the show cannot realistically adapt everything in the books, but the showrunners also added a lot of things that were not in the books. Such as the episode in season 1 that focuses on the warder character who lost his Aes Sedai who did not exist in the books, or the 'who is the dragon' plot, or Liandrin capturing Mat, or Liandrin having a backstory, or the 'whoever is not the dragon will die at the eye of the world' thing, or Nyneave going through the arches taking a lot longer and being entirely different, or the stuff with Moraine - you get the point.

After having some time to reflect on 2x07, I think Siuan’s actions were justified and somewhat sympathetic given the information she knew. First off, Lan came to Siuan and told her that moraine have been deliberately withholding essential information from her (the fact that she was stilled ) and was threatening to pass Lans bond which both indicated that Moraine was not in a good place mentally or physically to complete their mission (train and protect Rand/the world from Ran).
Now cut to when she meets with Ran. While we as viewers know that Ran is not evil or mad yet, from her perspective he is a nuclear bomb that could either become evil or go mad in the process of saving the world. The last dragon literally killed a ton of people and destroyed the world, and as the head of the “servants of all” it’s Siuan’s job to protect the world from Rand, and so when she sees that Moraine has no power to control him if he starts to go insane and has failed to teach him anything, she makes the decision to shield/control him, which in her mind is what’s best for the safety of the world. While we know it’s the wrong choice, I don’t think this is anything like the Seanchan who literally enslave an entire group of people while I think of the dragon more as the trolley problem (sacrifice the one to save the many).
Then in the final confrontation with Moraine and Lanfear, I think her confusion and perceived betrayal from Moraine dictates most of her actions. First she finds out that Moraine and Verrin tricked Leanne into letting them escape, then arrives at the way gate to see that Moraine has channeled, meaning that she lied about being stilled making Siuan think that she could be a darkfriend. While the using of the oath was awful and definitely violating, I don’t think Siuan felt as if she had any choice because she wasn’t going to let a suspected dark friend walk away with the dragon reborn. You could also see on her face afterwords how broken she felt in that moment.
Anyways, I think both Siuan and Moraine were trying to do what they thought was right and neither of them are villains and that’s what made this episode so hard to watch.
