Hello lovely lady :) I’m here to pretty please request a JK drabble because I miss him terribly and if you have the time because I very much am in love with your writing 🥹🥹 Tattoo artist JK who gets a crazy stupid adult crush on a customer who comes to him to do a very meaningful tattoo for her and they spend all night eating and talking afterwards and it’s all giggly and cute because he will find any reason to touch her 😭😭 and now I’m going to jump off a cliff bc I miss him so much LOL

Jeon Jungkook considered himself an artist. This wasn't based on his literal job title, but on the immeasurable time and effort he spent studying, practicing, and working as an apprentice. On the sheer number of oranges that went off to rot in dumpsters with shakily tattooed skin.

For years, he placed permanent art on the bodies of strangers for tips only — if clients bothered with the courtesy, that is. Little designs off the flash sheet, last-minute friendship tattoos for university students who'd fall out of touch upon graduating. It was grueling work, but it was worth it.

When he finished his apprenticeship and was promoted to resident artist, Jungkook figured that he'd spend his days seriously — on serious shit that took hours to design and even longer to translate onto a living, breathing, squirming canvas. That was the hope, anyway.

In reality, Jungkook had spent the entirety of his day doing unspeakably stupid shit. He'd just finished tattooing "Seoul" in hiragana for a tourist who didn't seem to know which side of the Strait he was on — and then you walked in.

You shouldn't have been the only person he'd seen all day that already had tattoos, but you were. You clearly knew how this was supposed to go; and Jungkook almost started floating when the crushing weight of his exasperation finally fell off his shoulders.

Finally.

He didn't mean to audibly sigh with relief when you stepped up to the counter. He did, though, and he was well past the point of giving a shit if that should have embarrassed him.

"Rough day?" You tilted your head to the side when you asked and you looked genuinely concerned, even with that tiny, sideways smile.

Jungkook was torn. Yours was a face worth staring at, but the gallery spreading over both of your exposed arms was one he wanted to get lost in. He knew more than anyone how fucking it weird it was when strangers gave themselves permission to run their hands over his skin — but he might finally understand the urge.

Swallowing down that intrusive desire, Jungkook gripped his Red Bull can even tighter in his left hand — twenty ounces, reserved exclusively for the most severe instances of brain rot — and balled his right hand into a fist. He rapped his knuckles against the countertop and shot you a grin, "Nah, it's golden."

Jungkook had been right about two things. The first was that you weren't a fainter, a flincher, or a cry-baby.

If he hadn't stolen so many glances at you throughout the session; and if your quiet laughter wasn't the pacemaker preventing his swooning heart from stopping; he might've thought that you were meditating. Sleeping, even, or hit with a freeze ray. You were still, entirely unfazed like you weren't being stabbed thousands of times per second with a bouquet of needles.

Jungkook was also dead-on that this day, despite its frustrating start, was golden. Better yet, it didn't end when your session did. When he'd blurted out an invitation to dinner, you said yes.

Sitting down across the table from him with your forearm dutifully covered in cling-wrap, you shot him an adorably sheepish smile. "Could you, um —?" You gestured to the perilla leaves on your plate with the chopsticks in your non-dominant hand. "I'm not as dexterous as I was two hours ago."

"I'm on it, boss."

He didn't have time to cringe over that statement or the wink that accompanied it because your knuckles brushed his when you slid your plate to him and — Are you a child? Why are you blushing? For fuck's sake, get a grip, Jeon.

You sipped your beer as you watched him; and it had Jungkook fumbling as if he was using chopsticks for the first time in his life and not the thousandth. Thankfully, instead of laughing at him, you asked, "So, what's the dumbest tattoo you've had to do for someone?"

"Cartoon corn-on-the-cob," Jungkook responded without hesitation. The memory was burned into his brain, a tattoo in its own right. "But that alone isn't the worst part, and neither is the fact that its face looked like it was moaning with a pat of butter sliding down its front."

You groaned, but you were grinning, "Jesus. Do I even want to know the worst part?"

"Butter me up, daddy."

Automatically, you raised your freshly-tattooed arm and slapped your hand over your mouth to keep your drink inside it. You winced at the sting on your skin and, no doubt, the burn in your chest as you coughed, "Come again?"

Jungkook slid your plate back over to you with pursed lips. Then, he took a deep breath. "That was the script they wanted to go with it," He sighed, "I spent a decade of my life on my craft and that is what I do with it."

"I'm sure the linework on the horny corn was beautiful, though." Your eyes sparkled when your tone softened. The sight of you stopped him from laughing at the words you chose.

He gestured down to the vintage floor lamp he'd etched in fine black ink on your forearm. "Looks better when the person I'm tattooing sits still," He smiled, "And you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you put thought into that, rather than thirst. Otherwise, I will have follow-up questions about whatever kink that might be."

Ugh, that giggle.

"Have you heard of ghost lights before?" You asked between bites of your kimchi.

When Jungkook shook his head, you cleared your throat to explain. "When you close up a theater after a show, you have to put a lamp on the stage. It's primarily a safety thing — keeps people from falling over set pieces or into the orchestra pit — but it helps out with ghosts, too."

Jungkook shifted in his chair and leaned in a little closer to more clearly hear what came next. He was riveted, and there was no hiding it.

"There are a couple of different superstitions about why it's done, but the one I grew up with was that it keeps ghosts from messing with your props and technical equipment while you're gone."

You quieted before you tacked on the amendment, corner of your mouth momentarily twitching up into a sad smile, "Figured this tattoo might help me ward off some of my own."

Your hand was close enough to his on the table that he could've pretended it was an accident. He didn't, though. The microscopic movement until his little finger touched yours was intentional; and he wanted you to know it.

Not daring to move that hand away, Jungkook grabbed his drink with the other and raised it. He waited for you to raise yours, too, before cheering, "To ghosts that mind their own fucking business!"

orchid ⇢ what’s a song you consider to be perfect?

Oh wow I don’t know if I can answer this 😅 There are lots of songs I consider to be really good but perfect? I don’t know. If it was done perfectly it would have to be sung by either Layne Staley or Chris Cornell. I’m sorry. Maybe I’m biased but those men were absolute legends.

abelia ⇢ do you have a particular piece of jewelry you always wear or can’t part with?

I don’t wear jewelry often but one piece I can’t part with is a bracelet I bought at a summer camp when I was seven. I love how it’s made and it’s very nostalgic for me. I’m surprised it’s lasted this long. Another piece I can’t part with was my great grandmother’s red heart necklace that she wore all the time. It has a few jewels missing but that’s okay.

mahonia ⇢ what place, thing, activity inspires you most and how do you express yourself when it does?

I’d say music and other people’s art. It gives me a lot of inspiration. You guys have no idea how many animatics are playing in my head when I listen to music 💀

When ideas come to me, I either make a mental note or if it’s really good I’ll write it down so I don’t forget.

camellia ⇢ what were you like when you were younger? do you think you’ve changed a lot?

When I was a little kid, I was kinda loud, a lot less shy, and spoke my mind. I still do but not as openly. I didn’t start becoming introverted and shy until i was around 11 or 12. I’ve always had anxiety but it didn’t really start getting bad until that time period. And it’s just snowballed from there 🫠

I had a huge imagination back then and I was very creative. I came up with my own stories and made paper “books”. Way before I knew about OCs or fanfiction. Should’ve been a sign I guess.

From the time I was like 9-13 I was so cringe and annoying. I probably got on a lot of people’s nerves lmao. I was a weird kid. I’m still weird but’s a different weird. Idk how to explain it.

I have changed a lot but I still have some of the same interests and hobbies. My personality is definitely different though.

ivy ⇢ what are your ‘tells’ for your emotions and moods? how can someone tell you’re happy, annoyed, upset or tired?

My face is definitely a dead giveaway. Like if I’m upset or mad at a situation you can definitely tell. When I’m happy, I get excited and my voice gets higher. When I get embarrassed or flustered, I blush and turn really red, sweat, or stutter. I hate it 😭 When I’m tired, my eyes are droopy and I’ll prop my head up on my arm. I’m usually not in a good mood at all when I’m tired.

I also have a resting bitch face so people usually just assume I’m either mad or sad all the time. Like one time I was just sitting peacefully minding my own business and this random old lady came up to me and said “you don’t have to look so sad all the time” I wanted to deck her 😀

aloe vera ⇢ what’s something (mundane) you really want to experience in life?

Cleaning and taking care of my own place.

(Writed this today, but actually watched the movie on the 23rd of august, but I went through the screencaps for recap)

- This is not a movie I would watch as a kid. I probably watched maybe in kindergarten or rented it cause I have nostalgia for some scenes but maybe I never watched it fully or maybe just got them from picture books or the Disney magic English vhs. But I actually remember the live action movies more. Specially the cruella cake scene. But haven’t watched them in sooooooooooooo long. Kindergarten really

- It’s a cute movie, not a fave tho. As far as animal movies go, I prefer lady and the tramp, aristocats, rescuers, lion king, bolt…

- The opening credits are really cute. It’s not just illustrations. Very playful

- I romanticize London and Paris a lot cause of movies like this 😭😭😭 the aesthetic is just so good

- Nothing looks better than sleeping beauty, but if I didn’t know anything about these movies production I don’t think I would consider this movie’s animation and art style a downgrade compared. As I said, nothing competes with sleeping beauty, but 101 Dalmatians isn’t and didn’t need to be that and instead the artists gave it just a unique art style. The backgrounds in this movie are gorgeous. I love how messy the art is

- I love the beginning of this movie a lot. Pongo is so funny. My fave scene is the ladies passing with their very similar dogs 😭😭😭😭 character design at its best and I love that these ladies make small appearances through out the movie. I don’t think dogs reflect their human’s appearance irl but it was such a fun point the movie made. I love it. Best part of the movie

- Anita and perdita are so classy. How did these too lazy asses got them to fall in love with them? 😭😭 no, but seriously, pongo and roger are charming, cute and clumsy type. And he writes music???? I’d fall too, who am I kidding

- Thinking of going to read my books to the park too, maybe I’ll get lucky

- their meeting goes from awkward to cute so fast 😭😭😭 I love this whole beginning

- Remember that post that included Anita in the "you can’t marry a man that you just met?" thing???? Why???? Did cinemasins really make people forget that offscreen development can and will happen??? Do they think perdita gave birth to puppies the day after too???? Tf

- But the wedding is so cute and simple. And the dogs on the outside, the roses, the glass church window illuminating, UGH GOALS GOALS GOALS both anita&roger and perdita&pongo. They are sooooo cute

- Oh to live in a squished London apartment with your musician husband and 2 dogs

- Cruella was never one of my fave villains but I see why she’s so popular. She does have killer 👀 fashion sense. That coat looks so fab I want it for winter

- Why hasn’t Anita cut this woman off her life? She’s showing too many red flags in just 2 minutes 🙄

- Roger has no business being this petty but I love him 😭

- The iconic cruella song. It’s for sure one of the most recognizable from Disney

- Feel so bad for perdita, being pregnant and now worried her kids might be taken away from her. One even almost dies 😭😭😭😭 this poor dog

- The waiting for the birth of the pups to be over scene is so tense and a rollercoaster omg I really feel the anxiety and excitement and sadness and relief

- The dead pup scene is so sad but so well done. It’s precious. Pongo looking sad and patient putting his paw on roger’s knee while roger tries to save the pup ugh precious

- Why did cruella just do a jump scare 😭😭😭😭 WOMAN WHY ARE U HERE

- Roger and pongo being fed up with this woman is so funny 😂 I guess dogs and owners really do look like each other. They have the same glare and black spots 😭😭

- Roger is THE man

- The doggies watching tv scene is also very cute. I love the distinct personalities already showing. Cuteness overload

- The tv shows and commercials in this movie are so good.

- I think from now on is when I start to lose interest. Idk, the beginning scenes are just my faves

- Hate the kidnapping scene. Poor nana. Poor pups. I hate this

- Wish they showed more of cruella’s room cause I honestly love everything I’m seeing. Orange, pink, black. Bed with those high posts for curtains hell yeah I’ve always wanted one of those

- The lady and the trump cameos 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

- The dog and cat’s dynamic is pretty great

- These pups are easy to please. Give them a tv and they are satisfied. It would take more for me to keep me calm

- I do like how dogs and cat save the day. And the whole collaborative process. Really good solidarity

- That tv show looks so interesting tho. I guess I’d behave like the pups too after all. My dumbass would be just like the puppy that stays behind

- that poor cat better have all 9 lives cause he is risking too much for the canines 😭😭😭😭

- Ugh the whole run and chase part of the movie makes me so anxious. THEY ARE 101 PUPS AFTER ALL. Not only do I get nervous about the fact that they are always almost being discovered or indeed discovered but also cause they are so many and I’m scared someone gets left behind. It’s like idk how the movie ends 🙄🙄

- The color design tho. The blue room turning red for the fight 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

- That one pup sliding in ice almost falling on the light….. MY HEART CANT HANDLE THIS

- WHY ISNT THE WEATHER HELPING???? LIKE THEY ARENT IN ENOUGH DANGER ALREADY! THE STAKES IN THIS MOVIE ARE TOO HIGH

- I love how there’s so many different dog breeds in this movie

- WHY CANT THIS WOMAN JUST BUY ON THE BLACK MARKET??? SHES GONNA GET HERSELF KILLED DRIVING LIKE THAT

- Ok but they have to be batshit crazy to keep 101 Dalmatians 😭 good for them tho. I hope they are as dog people as they think they are cause that’s a lot…….. 😭

- Not a fave but cute. Makes me a bit anxious so it’s not something I’d watch for relaxation you know? 😭 the art style is gorgeous, the characters are amazing, another disney classic
