Sudden realization that we now have a Smol Cloud Quintet of kids on the Luofu.

Warning: contains minor spoilers for version 1.5 content.

After Huohuo's debut and the recent Trailblaze Continuance + Event, I've noticed that a few recurring faces seem to parallel the good ol' High Cloud Quintet of the Luofu, be it by accident or on purpose. And if you know me, then you may have noticed I really like to connect the dots (or in some cases, make up headcanon dots for funsies), so I had to put these thoughts into words.

Going clockwise from the center, we have:

1) The High Elder of the vidyadhara, well-known for proficiency in healing arts, designated mother hen, and.... significantly shorter than everyone else in the group. Poor Bailu. At least she gets to be a short gremlin, and that's neat! Go cause mischief, queen!

2) A talented swordsman who aspires to be the Sword Champion and has an affinity for ice. And for throwing sharp objects as an attack. Kinda funny how Jing Yuan is the only one of Jingliu's disciples that doesn't do that, and yet his own apprentice picks up the habit anyway.

3) A newbie Cloud Knight of somewhat traditional upbringing, who happens to be really impressed by their superior and gets noticed by them in turn at some point (see Sushang's About Yanqing line, and the latter calling for assembly when he joins a team with her specifically).

4) A foxian who's known to be very good at her job, but gets into a lot of trouble and earns a nickname for exactly that (Cursed One for Huohuo, Starskiff Killer for Baiheng), and still miraculously scrapes by every unfortunate encounter.

5) A crafty, short-lived outlander whose home planet was destroyed in their childhood, with them being taken to the Xianzhou as a result, and then rising to fame thanks to their creativity and fiery spirit. They also befriend the aforementioned newbie Cloud Knight, except there's lots of squabbles and teasing involved.

Personally I think they should all be friends. A silly lil group that circumvents the law and gets up to shenanigans. Half of them are already besties in canon too, so it's not particularly farfetched, and the potential interactions between the rest are fun to think about!

they sneak them both out past curfew and go find an empty playground so they can go on the swings together and talk until it’s nearly dawn.

Well. This is certainly inconvenient. The senkaimon to take him to the world of the living has taken him...

Well, not where it was supposed to. He can tell from the energy signatures around him that he is certainly within a realm of the living. But given the variety of... beings around him, he is given reason to believe that this is not the one to which he is semi-accustomed. Not to mention the energy within the air itself, almost feeling more akin to what is found in Hueco Mundo or the Soul Society, than the world of the living.

The architecture, too, is different. He supposes it is reminiscent of other regions within the human world that he is used to, something he remembers Rose showing him once or twice in a book. From somewhere called. Rope? Your-Rope? He can't remember what it's called, but it was something like that he thinks.

The script upon many of the signs are unfamilar, too. Thanks to Rose, he can at least read some of it. After much staring, that is. And only the words that haven't been overly decorated or otherwise made illegible from how curly they are. One sign catches his attention, and it takes him a moment to decipher it. 'Elfsong Tavern' sounds promising enough. After all, if he remembers correctly from some of Rose's attempted lessons on the human world, taverns are commonly a place to drink and rest. And, perhaps more importantly in his case, to gather information.

He doubts that this place, wherever it is, would take the little bit of currency that he carries with him. But perhaps there are some pests that might need handling, maybe a troublesome hollow even here. That he could easily take care of in exchange for information at the very least.

With this in mind, he steps into the building, pausing for a moment to take in the occupants. Given how dark it is outside, and therefore how late into the evening it likely is, he isn't terribly surprised at how reasonably empty it is. Certainly, there are a few patrons here and there, a musician half-heartedly strumming away at some stringed instrument in their lap. His gaze passes onto and pauses at a pale man with silver hair don't think of him, it isn't him, it's the right color but the wrong style dressed in very expensive clothing. Aside from the hair, however, what catches his attention are the ears.

He's only seen ears like that on the ressurreccion of the Sexta Espada. While this man has a strange energy around him, it does not feel hollow. So, feeling that the scene is secure enough, Izuru steps forward to the bar beside the man and clears his throat to catch the barkeep's attention.

"Apologies, but I seem to have gotten a bit turned around at some point. I'm... Far from here. Very far. Could you tell me where this is, perhaps?"

funniest thing about Gen v to me is how they’ve set it after season 3 of the boys but they’re also kinda pretending that stuff doesn’t exist except for an occasional background joke. Because you got Marie and the other kids being like “we wanna be in the seven!!! It sounds great!” When… according to the way the boys s3 ended, here’s what these kids and the rest of the general public would know about the seven:

Three members have died while actively serving within the past 3 years (translucent, supersonic, Queen maeve), and another 2 have died after retirement/removal (Stormfront & Lamplighter, assuming his death was recorded and explained away probably as natural causes or something). The last two of those deaths were within like a month of each other.

Another member has quit (Annie) and is openly speaking out about corruption and violence within the group and Vought at large, she has officially laid out accusations of 1) Deep raping her on her first day, 2) Homelander lying about the (lack of) danger presented by soldier boy, 3) Homelander taking Maeve captive shortly before her death. These accusations (at minimum, she has possibly said even more not documented on the show) while perhaps not proven, received extensive media coverage.

As for the suspicious amounts of deaths, Translucent died on a mission, ok seems normal, Supersonic died of an overdose, okay sure that can happen to some people but not to everyone, and Maeve died while valiantly fighting the last generation’s American hero who was actually super evil and radicalized by Russia but Homelander told us all not to worry about him at all?? Hmm this pattern is maybe a little weird now especially considering the group had zero deaths for its first decade-plus of existence

Like a year ago they let a literal nazi into the group and then kinda just said “oopsies” and made a movie about it starring Charlize Theron as the Nazi

One of the remaining active members was accused of sexually assaulting another member of the group and then was in a cult for a little while and now claims he’s changed

Also Homelander recently murdered a guy in broad daylight with hundreds of witnesses so that’s horrifying on its own and maybe adds some weight to Annie January’s accusations

You’re telling me Marie wants to join THAT GROUP? right NOW??

My original idea was that the reader only became a rental partner because they were inlove with a host that influenced them to join the industry. But I wanted it to be more open so people can self project on the reader, so I scrapped that.

I'll spoil you some of the asks I got:

Luca is one of Andrew's friends, he got too suspicious and went through Andrew's cellphone and found out that reader is from a rental service. He thinks it's funniest thing ever, in his humble opinion. He kinda figured you were out of his league. So as a joke he decided to rent reader out but now he can understand why Andrew is always bringing you up in every conversation and creepily mumbling your name under his breath.

Ithaqua is one of your very first clients, he only rented you out because a fancy indoor rock climbing place offered a couples only get in free event, and he really wanted to go. But then he found himself enjoying your company, so he keeps renting you out. You guys had more a friend relationship that formed out of the rental service, he gained a crush on you and had a close relationship with you, but soon his jealousy catches up with him and he realizes he wants more and doesn't want you to a be rental anymore.

Joseph is also one of your longterm clients and also formed a relationship with you out of the rental service. It's more of a sugar daddy situation. He's one of the few yandere's of the harem that *isn't* delusional.

Eli just got out of a longterm relationship, and Norton cheers him up by letting him use his rental date with you, and quickly Eli finds himself booking you time and time again where the the lines are blurred between what's real and what's not. He actively believes your into him just as much as he is into you.

waking up next to marie was awkward, at first. leaving jordan with an odd feeling of discomfort — did she find it weird? was being in their female form to much for her? endless worries and frustrations eating away at them.

waking up next to marie for the third time was nice. their arm rested over her waist, fingers softly grazing patterns on her stomach. face buried into her neck and whispered ‘good morning’.

waking up to marie for the eighth time was funny, realizing that they somehow became the little spoon through the night. they pressed back against her chest and fell right back asleep.

waking up next to marie for the seventeenth time had become jordan’s normal. their head on her chest, her arms wrapped around their smaller frame to keep them close. sometimes the other way around.
