watching a movie with roomie!gojo until he feels your head drop onto his shoulder. his breath gets caught in his throat and he tries to glimpse at you, to see if you're really sleeping or just leaning on him. not that he minds, though. but when he feels your slow and deep breaths, he know it's the former. so he, ever so gently, moves your head down onto his lap and pulls the blanket over your sleeping form. he turns down the tv volume and lowers his hand to your head. his long fingers bury themselves into your hair, combing through it, careful not to pull on any knots. he pushes some of it behind your ear to see your peaceful expression. you look so cute. your brows are relaxed for once - he keeps making fun of you and your silly little habit of mindlessly furrowing your brows at the most random times. another habit of yours he has noticed still manages to poke through even in your slumber - your pretty lips are forming the cutest pout and satoru can't help but smile down at you. he traces his fingertips over your cheek before continuing twirling a strand of hair in his hand. the tv is quietly playing in the background but it's long forgotten - someone way more important has his attention now.

I feel like Keith and Lance are both ND but in different ways. Keith is the kind of guy who would really like physical contact and words of affirmation as love languages. He's pretty good at telling Lance how he feels about him later in the series. He'd probably appreciate the lack of ambiguity and take things at face value/put trust in I love yous.

Meanwhile Lance grew up in a big family so they might not have had as much money. Receiving gifts was a really big deal for him growing up. I can imagine Keith giving Lance a cool blue shell he found at an alien market and being all confused, thinking Lance doesn't like it when he goes still. Like he wants to take it back and is disappointed that Lance doesn't like it. But he does, he's just a bit overwhelmed by the gesture. Trying to show why he thought getting some silly shell was a good idea, Keith meekly tells him to look at this pretty part of it, turning it over in Lance's hands, pointing out an opalescent part that's all different kinds of blues. Says it reminds him of Lance's eyes.

Lance says something like "How would you know what colour my eyes are" because eye contact is not Keith's forte, but there's no bite behind it, and Keith doesn't get the joke anyway, just looks nervous. Keith just says they're pretty, as if he couldn't not have noticed. Lance puts it down on his side table gently. Keith says "You don't like it?" Lance gives him a super tender kiss. They kiss for a while holding each other, and Keith hugs him, sighing with contentment into lance's shoulder. Says "Holding you feels like home" then Lance dies on the spot

the whole "cats choose their owners" thing is really funny to me because ivy very much did NOT choose me. she was a slightly dim-witted and very rambunctious feral kitten, and that combination led to her getting herself stuck inside an old chipmunk nest halfway down the steep bank of the creek by my parents' house. from there she proceeded to scream her head off until both my mom and i came out to see what on earth was making all that racket, then we excavated her out of that hole like a sad little potato. she was grateful for the rescue, but definitely NOT grateful for the ensuing flea baths and conversion to indoor cat life at my apartment, which she reminds me of regularly. ivy i'm sorry for saving you from an early death due to predation/disease/cars, but can you stop biting me every day of my life please

Thinking a lot about them recently and can't help but notice how this couplet from one of my favourite Chinese poems called "Jin Se" can sum up their relationship : 「此情可待成追憶？ 只是當時已惘然。」 This feeling might have become something to be remembered later on; Merely, at that time I were already perplexed and lost.

This saying could roughly be interpreted as the two people's relationship should have bought back wonderful memories, but one didn’t cherish it enough when they were together, and now it just brings sorrowness.

I love Henclair so much, after a rewatch of ST (early 2 seasons specifically), I noticed something.

Physical contact seems to be important between the two of them.

Dustin and Lucas spend a lot of time bickering/fighting. And it sometimes ends in physical fighting.

In general, they’re often close and Dustin felt comfortable enough to curl all the way up in that hospital chair to deliberately use Lucas’s shoulder as a pillow (which comes as a super interesting contrast to their constant outward disagreements with each other). Also towards the end of season one they start a bit of a fight in the basement and then they just continue on wrestling and roughhousing for a good while.

The other party members don’t tend to fight as much and if they do argue it usually doesn’t turn physical. From what I can recall that’s exclusively Dustin and Lucas. Also they just seem to make the most general contact out of the group with the exception of moments of danger, etc.

Seeing as I ship Henclair it’s sweet to think they feel the need to touch each other so much; even when they’re disagreeing and annoyance is running high they still take comfort in some type of contact (even if it is just slapping the other’s arm lol) Physical touch just seems to be an effective or important way of communicating for these two. They don’t express in words often how close they are with each other or how much they care or whatever but it definitely shows in little ways like this.

And it just occurred to me right now that maybe that’s why Dustin took notice specifically of when Lucas had been holding Max’s hand on the bus.

Because little physical things like that are kinda their thing.
