It's the guns. Not trans people.
With the recent satanic craze-like assault on trans commuinities after the recent school shootings, it has become increasingly clear that the GOP want to use this in an effort to gain traction in their campaigns.
We witness a huge wave of claims that trans people are inherently more likely to commit school shootings because of HRT and worsening mental health. (I wonder why it's worsening?)
First, let's tackle the claims that mental health is the leading cause of school shootings. According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 0,5 of adults aged 18 or older have attempted suicide at least once in their lives ( https://afsp.org/suicide-statistics/ ). At the same time, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, 82 percent of trans people have experienced suicidal thoughts and as much as 40 percent have attempted suicide ( https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32345113/ ). Matter of fact is that trans people are 80 times more likely to attempt sucide that their cis counterparts.
Meanwhile, there have been three* school shootings committed by people identifying as trans... Out of 2826. For your information that is ~0.106% of the total number of school shootings. And it's now that we bring to attention the fact that trans people make up around 1 to 2 percent of the population. That means that trans people are one THOUSAND percent less likely to commit school shootings than cis people, while being EIGHTY times more likely to attempt suicide.
*One only used it as an excuse to get out of being accused of committing a hate crime.
Mental health - while being a massive systemic problem - is not THE cause of school shootings.
And now we look at the remaining 2826 school shootings by cis people. And to be frank, it looks bleak. 98 percent of school shootings committed in America are by cis men, eventhough they only represent around 50 percent of the population.
Now through this little thought experiment, what have we found out? That the only group of people that are clearly overrepresented in school shootings in proportion to their population, is cis, white men. People who have a significantly better mental health than basically any other parts of the populace. So what is it that they have that makes them so much more likely to commit these acts of violance? Guns.
You'd be safer handing a gun to a trans person that a cis one.

i don't know if this will be on anon or not, but i need to vent. i've been struggling with thoughts of my future and what i want to be, and i never have anyone to talk to or comfort me because no one listens to me. i just feel like i need comfort and i want more freedom, but that doesn't ever happen. i've been dealing with thoughts of suicide and i just want things to change but everyday is the same and i just can't stand it, can't take it anymore. i'm so tired of waking up.
remember that you have time to decide. if you hold on just a day longer, a day after that, a day after that, and your life will change. if you don’t have the freedom to make a huge drastic change, make smaller ones. go bald, go vegan, walk to school/work everyday, etc. make the changes you need. and remember always, it will get better. it always does.
the only time it doesn’t get better is when you aren’t there to see it. make sure your there, because i promise you, it will get better. try making a list of things that are there to live for. they can be as big or small as you want. maybe the fact that shane dawson is getting married, and you wanna see that. or that you still have some seasons of friends left, or the fact that your car would miss you. or maybe you’d miss chocolate a whole lot. it doesn’t matter. any reason that keeps you alive is valid. hang on love, and remember, we’re always here for you.

Blog Post 1: Gun Violence
Introduction: In the United States gun control is an issue. Gun control is the set of laws or policies to control firearms that can be sold and bought by citizens. Federal law prohibits certain people from owning firearms, but it does not stop those citizens from buying or stealing a gun. Gun violence is a daily tragedy affecting the lives of individuals around the world. More than 5000 people die everyday because of violence committed with firearms. Guns should be banned it is unnecessary and too much damage has been done.
According to the National Rifle Association guns are used for self defense. Guns are rarely used in self defense. In view of Frederic Lemieux “On the political side, the United States lawmakers have always approached gun control cautiously due to the profound difference of opinion among the voters on this topic. Moreover, politicians are facing a strong firearms lobby through gun enthusiast associations that fund and endorse political candidates.” ( Lemieux 8). Politicians are different than citizens the NRA are in regards to them.  “For example, the National Rifle Association (NRA), which boasts millions of members, uses a scorecard system to rate politicians’ positions on gun control. To illustrate the power of this system, in 1996, the members of congress who opposed gun control sponsored a bill that succeeded in limiting federal government research on the health implications of firearms by restricting the funding for National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (Kellermann & Rivara, 2013).” (Lemieux9). According to the Second Amendment to the United States constitution protects the individual right to keep bear arms. The Second Amendment only applies to the citizens with gun ownership. Gun control laws do not discourage crime; Gun ownership discourages crime. More gun control laws will not reduce gun deaths. According to Kathleen Schuster, author of 8 Facts About Gun Control “People with prior felony convictions that include a prison sentence exceeding one year, or misdemeanors carrying sentences of more than two years, are also prohibited from purchasing firearms.” (Schuster 4). Even though those felony convictions are prohibited from purchasing a firearm will still have a way to purchase a firearm. There are citizens out there  purchasing guns and selling them. Guns used to be used for hunting and sports fun. Now guns are used for citizens. Citizens are most likely to die by a gun than any other weapon. Back then when guns didn't come about it was less violence. Strip of gun control would prevent unnecessary violence. More gun control will prevent more violence. Less guns, less violence.
Mass shootings can stop if we take away guns. When guns wasn’t around there was less crime about guns. Mass shootings involve multiple victims of gun violence. Gun violence and mass shootings is on the news regularly. A mass shooting can happen any and everywhere. Mass shootings happen in grocery stores, schools, and churches. According to Kathleen Schuster, author of 8 Facts About Gun Control “Gun control is one of the most divisive issues in American politics. With each mass shooting defined as four or more victims having been killed indiscriminately antagonism grows between both sides of the gun control argument.” (Schuster 2). Most of these mass shootings are happening by people with mental illness. According to Frederic Lemieux, author of Effect of Gun Culture and Firearm Laws on Gun Violence and Mass Shootings in the United States: A Multi-Level… “In December 2012, after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, the debate on gun control reached a peak with the creation of a presidential task force charged with recommending solutions to the problem of public mass shootings and, more broadly, to gun violence.” (Lemieux 2). Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting was tragic. Adam Lanza killed 20 first graders and six adults before turning the gun on himself. Lanza struggled with mental illness, history of obsessive-compulsive behaviors and a fascination with mass shootings. People with a messed up mentality have guns. In the view of Lemieux “A significant finding is that mass shootings and gun ownership rates are highly correlated (r=0.75; p<0.01) and that this association remains high even when the number of incidents from the United States is withdrawn from the analysis (r=0.39; p<0.05).” (Lemieux 10).
According to Kerry Shaw “ In 2017, more than half of suicides (23,854, to be precise) were carried out with a gun, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” (Shaw 6). Sucide is when you end your own life. When someone ends their life we call it sucide. Sucide attempt is when someone attempts to end their life, but does not die. According to John R. Lott, Jr., author of Safe- Storage Gun Laws: Accidental Deaths, Suicides, and Crime “ It is frequently assumed that safe-storage gun laws reduce accidental gun deaths and total suicides, while the possible impact on crime rates is ignored.” (Lott 1). Suicides have calmed down since they’ve invented the gun laws, but there are still people out there who will kill themselves with a gun. In view of Lott “ We find no support that safe-storage laws reduce juvenile accidental gun deaths or suicides. Instead, these storage requirements appear to impair people’s ability to use guns defensively.” (Lott 2). Citizens use those guns defensively because they are afraid. People who are suicidal most likely kill themselves because of bullying. It's the way people treat their peers to make their other peers act outraged. If we didn’t have guns citizens wouldn’t kill themselves or accidentally kill themselves.
Citizens that own guns say the right to own firearms is to their personal freedom. Gun Ownership is the act of owning a gun. Gun ownership does not stop citizens for being irresponsible for having a gun. In view of Bindu Kalesn “ We assessed gun ownership rates in 2013 across the USA and the association between exposure to social gun culture and gun ownership. We used data from a nationally representative sample of 4000 US adults, from 50 states and District of Columbia, aged > 18 years to assess gun ownership and social gun culture performed in October 2013.” (Kalsan 2). Gun Ownership allows the crime rate every year. Citizens that own guns use it because  of fear. According to Bindu Kalesn “ In conclusion, we found a strong association between social gun culture and gun ownership. Gun cultures may need to be considered for public health strategies that aim to change gun ownership in the USA.” (Kalesn 5). If citizens change their view of a gun then there will be less gun violence. According to The Gun Control Act of 1968 citizens must be 18 years of age to buy shotguns or rifles and ammunition. I believe 18 years of age is a young age to have firearms. When you're a teenager you're most likely going to have an interest in everything. You're immature at the age learning how to be an adult. When you own a gun it comes with responsibility.
Conclusion: It's not the guns that's killing people, it's the people. Citizens who have a messed up mentality have guns. By the United States having these gun control laws just made everything spiral out of control. These gun control laws only apply to people who own guns, but it's not going to stop a convicted felon from trying to purchase a gun or steal it. There are many problems with a gun, the lead on the bullet is what kills us when we fire the weapon on each other. Guns used to be used for hunting and sports fun. Now guns are used out of fear. The news T.V’s, magazines, and newspaper spread fear by using a gun to engage in something dangerous.

The holiday season can be a tough one for a lot of people. It has never been easy for me. As an empath, I feel everything all the time, so I'm constantly in a state of being emotionally drained. This is pro ably why I pour myself into creative projects. However, each person deals with their struggles differently. It's important to actively listen when those that are struggling reach out to you. Sometimes they just need to vent, or are struggling to cope with a situation. Regardless, it is key to Express Empathy. That means putting yourself in the other persons shoes and understanding where they are coming from and what they are feeling. Some are experiencing loss, aren't with their families, don't have anyone, are having hardships in their relationships, or a myriad of other issues. None of us know the internal battles that others are facing. Your words can make the difference in the pain someone is feeling. So, consider being kind to all. Tell them something nice. Do wellness checks to make sure their mental state is ok. Love one another. And, if someone reaches out to you, pay it forward. Help the next person. If ever, things seem the bleakest, it's never too late to reach out. The National Sucide Prevention Hotline is there to help. Please Call 1-800-273-8255 Available 24 hours everyday. #thoughts #suicideprevention #holidays #payitforward #empath #empathy https://www.instagram.com/p/BrBU3BnHOb7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1mfym33b6duf1

Marginless Living
From  “Margin”  by Richard A, Swenson,M.D.- marginless living
“That our age might be described as painful comes as a discomforting surprise when we consider the many advantages we have over previous generations. Progress has given us  unprecedented affluence, education, technology, and entertainment. We have comforts and conveniences other eras could only dream about. Yet somehow, we are not flourishing, under the  gifts of modernity as one would expect.
Why do so many of us feel like air-traffic controllers out of control? How can the salesman feel so stressed when the car is loaded with extras, the paycheck is bigger than ever, and vacation lasts four weeks a year? How is it possible that the homemaker is still tired despite the help of the washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and vacuum cleaner? If we are so prosperous, why are  the therapists offices so full? If we have ten   times more material abundance than our ancestors, why are we not ten  times more content and fulfilled?
Something has gone wrong. Our society has been attacked by pain. If you know what pain wounds look  like, you will see them on all your friends. To be sure, there are as many different kinds of pain as there are reasons for pain. Most people associate the doctor’s office with the pain of organic disease. But this is not the only suffering physicians have to deal with. There are, for example, the pains of self-destructive behaviour, of abuse and poor parenting, of pollution, of unrestricted sexual permissiveness, and even the pains associated with prosperity itself. But it is not the focus of this book. Instead, this book is dedicated to exposing and correcting the specific kind of pain that comes from marginless living. Why? Because we find ourselves in the midst of an unnamed epidemic. The disease of marginless living is insidious, widespread, and virulent.
The marginless lifestyle is a relatively new invention and one of progress’s most unreasonable ideas. Yet in a very short time it has become a nearly universal malady. Few are immune. It is not limited to a certain socioeconomic group, nor to a certain educational level. Even those with a deep spiritual faith are not spared. It’s pain is impartial and nonsectarian--everybody gets to have some
Others deny vehemently that anything is wrong. “Life has always been hard.” they say. “People have always been stressed. It is simply part of living. There has always been change to cope with. There have always been economic problems, and people have always battled depression. It is the nature of life to have its ups and downs--so why all the fuss?”
I’m not the one who's making the fuss; I’m only writing about it. I’m only being honest about what I see all around me. I sit in my examining room and listen. Then I repost what I hear. Something is wrong. People are tired and frazzled. People are anxious and depressed. People don't have the time to heal anymore. There is a psychic instability in our day that prevents peace from implanting itself  very firmly in the human spirit. And despite the skeptics, this instability is not the same old nemesis recast in modern role. What we have here is  a brand-new disease.
All of these advantages have been granted in America today. Yet the formula for happiness has proven to be more elusive than the simple bestowing of these benefits. Somewhere the equation has broken down. Food plus health plus warmth plus education plus affluence have not quite equaled Utopia. We live with unprecedented wealth and all it brings. We have leisure, entertainment, convenience, and comfort. We have insulted ourselves from the unpredictable ravages of nature. Yet stress, frustration and often times even despair unexpectedly accompany our unrivaled prosperity.
Is there a disease? We will soon  have a remedy. Is there poverty? We have enough wealth to go around, and a social program or two will solve the problem of the poor. Is there an energy shortage? We will find new technologies to harness the power of the nucleus and to capture the sun. Is there famine? We will use fertilizers and hybrid seeds to conquer hunger. In our most idolatrous moments, we actually began to assume that the solution to any problem could be confidently entrusted to progress. Thanks to its blessings, we came to perceive the future as a safer place to live.
It is not my intention  to denigrate the value of progress’s achievements. We have a;; benefited greatly. As a physician, I understand the tremendous advantages of immunizations, antibiotics, and anesthesia. We all marvel at the  power of communications and the speed of transportation. The print media has vastly increased access to learning. Wealth has permitted opportunities far beyond the imagining of our great-grandparents
Yet as visible as these achievements have been, our faults demand a glaring prominence of their own. If we lead the world in successes, we also lead in far too many failures. Through much of the last decade, we had the developed world's highest rates of divoce, teenage pregnancy ,illicit drug abuse, crime, homicides, AIDS, litigation, functional illiteracy, national debt, and foreign  debt. We even make more garbage than anyone else.
With the aid of progress, perils now encircle us. No matter which direction we turn, yet another crisis stares us in  the face. Not only has progress been unable to solve these crises, it has not even been able to slow them. ..
These patients are depressed, stressed, and exhausted. Some are desperate. Their jobs are insecure. Their farms have been repossessed. They are over their heads in debt. Their marriages are in trouble. Their sons are using drugs, and their daughter are getting pregnant.
These patients don’t know what to do or where to turn. They have no social support, no roots, no community. Their stomachs won’t stop burning. They can’t sleep at night. They think about drastic solutions. The public blames the medical profession for giving too many tranquilizers and antidepressants. But what would you do? Doctors like to see healing as the result of their work. Yet today we often must be content with far less. There are so many things wrong with people’s lives that even our best is only a stopgap.
There can be little doubt that the ubiquitous contemporary absence of margin is directly linked to the march of progress. Those cultures with the most progress are the same as those with the least margin. If you were wondering why there is a chapter of progress in a book on margin, this is the reason. Margin has been stolen away, and progress was the thief.  If we want margin back, we will first have to do something about progress.
We must have some room to breathe. We need freedom to think and permission to heal. Our relationships are being starved to death by velocity. No one has the time to listen, let alone love. Our children lay wounded on the ground, run over by our high-speed good intentions. Is God now pro exhaustion? Doesn’t He lead people beside the still waters anymore?
In its specifics, the definition of progress varies from culture to culture and from age to age. Within contemporary American society, however, our  notion of progress was first defined and later dominated by money, technology, and education. Each of these areas is of value, but none of them cares much about our transcendent needs. That indifference constitutes a fatal flaw.
In our enthusiasm to improve material and cognitive performance, we neglected to respect the more complex and less objective parameters along the way. The social, emotional, and spiritual contributions to our well-being were, and continue to be, overlooked and underestimated. Not only are they more difficult to measure, but we apparently believed they would simply ‘improve” along with everything else. Or else, in our rush for the future, we didn’t care.
While the progress we boast of is found within the material and cognitive environments, most of the pain we suffer is found within the social, emotional and spiritual. The material and cognitive environments are unquestionably important. They also have an advantage in that they are more visible and thus more highly pursued. Scripture teaches us , however, that the social, emotional, and spiritual environments are more important. A crucial task for our society today is to reverse the order of emphasis and viability of these environments.
How might we know that the relational environments are where God would have us concentrate? Simply put, these are the same areas Christ spent His time developing and where His teachings focused.
Where do you  think God would have  us search for answers regarding drugs, crime, divorce, sucide, depression, teenage pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and litigation? In the material and cognitive reals, or in the relational ones? Our society tries in vain to remedy these problems using the  popular notions of progress---appropriating more money (that is, material/physical answers)   and setting up more classes (that is. cognitive /education answers). But insufficient funds and lack of education are not the problems. The problem is lack of love.
With the establishment of a proper emphasis, all appropriate needs will be met. Should  we fail in this task, however, progress will only bring us increasing pain. Our wallets will get fatter, our houses are bigger, our cars faster, and our brains smarter. Yet when we neglect the most important priorities, our final reward will fittingly be all the unhappiness money can buy.”

Important Annoucment
Hello all. First I just want to say that I love you all and that you’re all so important. I haven’t been a Kpop fan for very long but SHINee has been and will always be my favorite band. This morning I found out that one of the members from my favorite Kpop band and band in general has passed away. Jonghyun from SHINee committed suicide last night. I, like many others, did not see this coming and has left me utterly shocked and heartbroken. The news of this event has left me crying for hours and mourning over the loss of a truly talented and caring individual. I never met him nor did Jonghyun even know that I exsisted but I feel like he was a friend to me, someone who would always make me smile when he sung. SHINee has helped me through many difficult times in my life, I wanted to go to their concert since it would be the first concert I’d ever go to. But now that’ll never happen since another beautiful and wonderful person has taken their own life.
I never ever want any of you to think that you’re alone in this world. I lost one of my cousins to suicide as well as having these own thoughts myself. If you feel like you’re all alone or have these dark thoughts, please remember that I truly care for you. If you feel like you can’t talk to anyone, talk to me. I will always be here for you guys if you need to vent, rant, or need general support. I don’t want to lose any one of you, not like how we lost Jonghyun.
I know that none of this is Mystic Messenger related but I wanted to inform you all that I’m going to take a few days off from writing. I apologize in advance, I know that many of you have sent requests in and I truly am sorry for not writing quicker. I’m devestated by this new, am still crying while writing this, and don’t feel like I’m emotionally alright to write any requests. Thank you all for your understanding and remember that I’m here for you and that you’re special and loved.
For any of you that need it, here is the National Sucide Prevention Hotline that’s open all day every day: 1-800-273-8255
Rest In Peace Jonghyun, Thank you for making such a positive impact on me and I will always love you ❤️

Tw sucidal thoughts & reasons not to commit suicide
The other day at school I was having a really down day and feeling pretty suicidal. I sat in my maths class with my head on the desk and intrusive sucicidal thoughts filling my mind when one of my friends joked that I looked like I was trying to go into a coma. I mumbled back that right now that might not be a bad option. My friend then started listing reasons why I shouldn’t go into a coma, and then other people joined in. Before I knew it I had at least five people listing reasons why I should stay conscious. To them it was all just a joke, but what they didn’t realise is they where giving me reasons to stay alive. Reasons why I shouldn’t commit suicide. After the lesson I noted some of them down and now whenever I start to feel suicidal I look at them and read them over and it just makes it feel like suicide is a bit less of a good option.
I’d just like share some of them with you, in case you need it. I know they’re just little things and they won’t apply to everyone but to me they help a lot and if there is even the tiniest chance they could help someone else it’s worth it.
You’ll never been able to try any more of your chef-y friends cooking
The friend that you always remind not to leave stuff behind, they’ll be lost without you
For people with a significant other, they will be heart broken
Your pet won’t understand where you have gone
You can never listen to the new song from your favourite band
You will be missed
You can never read the next book in your favourite series
You won’t get to see the new memes
Your DnD character can’t be played anymore (Sorry I’m a nerd)
You can’t watch the next episode of your favourite tv show
You’ll never get to see Love Simon (Sorry I’m hella gay too)
You’ll never get to go to pride
You will be missed
You’ll never be able to play piano again (or whatever instrument you love)
You’ll never learn anything new again
You’ll never make a bad pun again
You’ll never watch another funny cat video
Or pet a cute dog
You’ll never have the chance to stand up for what you believe in again
And the last thing someone said to me before the bell for lunch went, as I lay with my head on the table, was “please don’t leave us”, I looked him in the eyes and I knew he understood.
Please if you are feeling suicidal it’s so important to talk to someone. If you ever wanted to message me I would respond whenever I can. Or call one of the charities below.

On World Suicide Prevention Day
Tumblr media
“Let me remind you that we all get tired. We all carry our own unique weights. We try to carry them alone because we don’t want to take others with us. (Because you do love other people. You think about them all the time.)
We hesitate to share the truth about our depression or anxiety: that we long to be free, but don’t know how. And we know it doesn’t make sense, but the dark feelings seem forever.
But no feelings last forever.”
Today is World Sucide Prevention Day, so here’s one from the archives. Last year, I wrote a little love letter to the ones who have stayed. And it’s all still true this year. Click here to read To the Ones Who Kept Living.
If you’re considering suicide, please know you aren’t alone and there is hope. You can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or send a text to 741-741 to connect with a crisis counselor. (Both are free and confidential.) You can also find links to more resources and hopeful stories at To Write Love on Her Arms.

Millennium award to Hyderabad University V-C by PM Modi sparks controversy
It's the same month in which last year, Rohith Vemula, a Dalit research scholar of Hyderabad Central University had committed suicide inside the university hostel.
After his suicide, FIR under SC/ST atrocity act was booked against the university Vice Chancellor P Appa Rao and others. A wide spread protest had forced him go on a long leave but after few months the Vice Chancellor joined back.
Now, the same Vice Chancellor was felicitated by the Prime Minister and it has again triggered a controversy.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
P Appa Rao along with eight other scientists were felicitated By Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their contribution in Science and Technology at Indian Science Congress at Tirupati today.
Reacting harshly on the "felicitations", Ambedkar Student Association said "Post-Rohith Vemula's sucide on January 17, 2016 and subsequent Dalit-Bahujan uprising across the country, gave birth to many stooges who helped in suppressing the movement."
"This was done by the government clearly to suppress Dalit Student Assertions on the campus." added Dontha Prashanth, Deshi Chrmudugunta and Vijay Pedapudi who along with Rohith were suspended from the campus.
The Dalit student activists of Ambedkar Student Association (ASA) further alleged that the Modi government is appointing people out of turn.
"Appa Rao Podile is one such stooge who is now being rewarded for the services to his masters in BJP. It has been seen in the out of turn appointment of the Army Chief, appointment of Chairman, FTII, and so on" added ASA in a release.
The Dalit student wing even turned the award to University Vice Chancellor as a "tight slap" on the face of brilliant minds who wish to further science and progress in the nation.
The Dalit student wing further made it clear that their struggle against Hyderabad University Vice Chancellor P Apparao seeking his removal as Vice-Chancellor and his arrest under Prevention of Atrocities would continue till justice is rendered and they will again start their protest.
