My biggest wish would be for everyone in the #LGBTQIAplus community to be accepted by their families and to be able to go home to spend time with family during the holidays. Being part of the LGBTQIA+ community shouldn't change the way your family views you. Parents don't realize the trauma they are causing by not accepting their children. They don't realize the pain that their child keeps inside. No one should be alone during the holidays because of who they love. Parents, your child didn't change. They are the same person they have always been. They love you more than anything. So, be the parent they need; love and accept them. My parents finally arrived safe and sound and I can officially start my Christmas celebration!! I am usually the one who is alone on holidays so I know the feeling.
