my friend and i have an entire team of foxhole OCs and its so funny how clearly you can see our ravens bias bc the team captain is a huge riko fan and the Definately Not team captain is a jean fan, and their coach is a former raven

(This isnt my art but they dont really have social media. They told me to link to their artfight- all art in this post is theirs)

The dynamic here is that 01 (Priore Marino) was the captain and then just. disappeared. So 05(Roman Denar) took over as captain and played the whole last year as captain - and their stuff is set in the fox timeline and theyre from the ravens old district so Denar is pretty excited about this next year because now that the ravens have switched, they have a chance to go further. He's excited for his second year as captain -- and on the first training session of the new year, Priore walks in, demands he strips so he can take his number back and humiliates him in front of everyone

02 (Marco Bianchi) and 08 (Noah Baker) are Priore's backliner bodyguards essentially and make sure Denar does as he's told. Marco disappeared with Priore but Noah stayed (Priore went home to Italy but nobody is sure why. im also not sure why, these OCs are from 2020 and i cant seem to find any note of what he was doing. he did get top surgery while he was gone tho)

Coach is really awful (Affectionate) because being trained in the nest does things to a guy. he's an alcoholic, hes a bastard and he wont let any of his players kill each other but only really stops priore when he makes denar late for practice

Coach was originally a lynx, got scouted into the ravens and did the rest of his collage career there, ended up too traumatised to want to go pro so went back to the lynxes as a coach Priore didn't get into Edgar Allen so came to St Felix because Coach used to be a raven, its the best he can get (priore idolises and resents the ravens)

Some of the others Not including coach i think we ended up with 7 fleshed out players but we wanted them to be a team of 15 (i have other art of 'mine' but its old and i dont like it lmao)

as a team they have the shortest shorts in class 1 exy

We made it a point that Priore wasn't mafia bc we wanted to be slightly less edgy than the books. but there is art like this so idk if we succeeded in that

Spoilers Ahoy: Consular Thoughts

I’m doing a quickie consular story  re-playthrough, and ... I have thoughts, mainly about the companions.

I do like the overall story arc until Chapter 3 when everyone except the Selkath thinks going to Belsavis to make friends is a great idea.  Awakening an imprisoned army is a terrible idea.  This is sort of how I feel about my OC confronting Malgus alone in prison recently: I don’t have a choice not to be stupid, and I HATE that.  LS is “Gonna get new friends for the Republic” and DS is more like “Gonna get new friends to serve me.”  THESE GUYS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS.  It’s a lot of risk and no guarantee of reward. I’d mark this as ‘a jump the shark’ moment. 

The Consular also has the inverse problem of the Bounty Hunter:  BH gets all the lighter companions first (Mako most of all) and then gets DS only at the end (death to Skadge).  Meanwhile, the consular gets a Hunt All The Things Uncle Lizard, Guy Who Literally Lives in the Basement with his Holo Girlfriend, and a politically inclined Murder!Noodle. Consular only gets LS Felix and LS Nadia as the last two companions, which results in some problems -- they’re also the romance options, which gives them the least amount of development in the vanilla game. 

To be fair, I think Felix Iresso is one of the least problematic guys in the SWTOR universe.  He’s so kriffin’ sweet.  He’s perfect for a young Jedi.  I totally think there was an attempt at a Jace/Satele parallel here. It’s not toxic and it’s well-paced... minus the fact that he doesn’t show up until Hoth.  Yes, I know what’s in his head...but he’s still a good person before and after the experience in Vanilla.  (I know how he was done dirty in his return -- poor sweet man.) 

For perspective, Hoth is when the smuggler gets their last companion, Guss Tuno.  Corso (f!smug romance option) was acquired in Chapter 1, and Risha (m!smug romance option 1) was acquired at Chapter 1′s end.  Akaavi was acquired in Chapter 2 after Balmorra (option 2).  Even then, Akaavi’s relationship feels better paced just by having her a whole planet early.  I know @swtorpadawan​ and others have commented on how fast the Nadia Grell romance is.  Pair that with her relative youth -- even with the consular being super young themselves, it still feels ‘yikes’, especially in the context you romance her.

I love and hate Qyzen.  He’s a great first companion, part of a cultural immersion experience for a young Jedi.  His hunting for the Scorekeeper works in contrast to the peace that the consular seeks to establish, and yet it does provide a path to that -- sometimes, you do have to fight for the 'greater good’ end result; compliance works for the enemy.   However, on a personal level, I have my political loyalties to Wookiees, and I would cheer for Bowdaar to kick his ass.

I do like Zenith, and not just because he’s voiced by Troy Baker.   There’s a very gritty, realist element to Zenith. After the hero moves on from a planet, what happens to it?  Great, Balmorra is liberated, but it doesn’t fix everything going on there. Should there be ‘necessary evils’ done in the name of politics and managing power? All of the war, death, and other baggage can screw a person up; I read Zenith as walking PTSD, having lived in a war zone all of his life (he was born 3 years after Jace and Satele reported the fall of Korriban, and Balmorra has been a mess since). Zenith is a great foil to a consular, regardless of alignment.  

...I have a really hard time justifying Tharan’s recruitment so early minus the fact he does fit on Nar Shaddaa better than anyone else.  I know the developers tried to keep all of the Pub and Imp players running on the same sets of planets in each chapter...but if there was ever an exception to be made, it should have been for the consular, because I feel like Tharan is taking up an important space that he really shouldn’t. He’s not actively evil, but he’s not a pleasant or honest person. Super skeevy vibes once Nadia joins the crew too.   I feel like a lot of time is spent on Tharan with not a lot of growth or character development to show for it.  I think I feel that way because there’s this weird ‘affair’ the consular is propositioned with early on -- it felt like filler from the start.  It’s not as well done as the Pierce one-night stand.  Some of his comp convos seem tacked on or “oh no we have to make more content for this guy.” 

Nadia’s acquisition as a companion hinges on certain late stage events, but I feel as if the romance would have felt ‘better’ if her father had let her go to be a padawan as soon as she manifested on Quesh.   Then, she could have grown up a little more before the later events and would have been on more equal footing and more familiar terms with the consular, romance or not. 

In sum, I think the consular’s personal story with the crew has great elements, but I feel like they got put together in the wrong order.  To me, companion order would be:  Qyzen, Felix (set him on Tatooine, the opposite temperature cesspit in the galaxy), Zenith, Nadia (on Quesh), and then... Tharan on Hoth because someone unloaded him there? or Belsavis for crimes related to unethical experiments?  Again, Tharan’s convos seem overstretched; the Vandrayk Generator could have really been done in two or three convos rather than the big thing it was in Chapters 2 and 3.

Arvio

A blade for hire, a mercenary, any title works for him with what he does. Growing up in an unforgiving environment might have made him appear cold and distant, but he truthfully cares so much about the people he chooses to let into his life. Even if he might make unsavory comments about whoever he may be attracted to.

Bran Hayes

A magus from Ireland, Bran simply seeks to improve his magecraft which is a form of druidism. Empowering himself with one of the elements and strengthening his bond with nature, he also makes use of specially crafted magitech that can be used to shield himself or his allies. And ultimately, he seeks to make a comfortable life for himself.

Callan White

A knight who strives to uphold his own sense of honor, Callan wanders the land with a horrible sense of direction. He ends up in places he usually has no business in, more often than not. But his own two feet have brought him there, so he spends some time in these places honing his skills before setting out again. Fiercely protective to those he has pledged his sword to, as well.

Charles Carter

While he might appear like a shady old man, Charles prides himself on acting like a true gentleman would. Giving others the respect they deserve, especially women, until they prove undeserving of that respect. And while self-defense is an accurate statement to explain the beatings he gives random muggers, it's not something one would expect a man of his age to do.

Djura

Aptly put, Djura is a demon of desire. He makes no secrets about who he is or what he wants to do, but would never put undue pressure on his partner to go along with his whims. As an incubus, the only thing that matters to him is their pleasure. What they want him to do. And of course he obliges, seeing no reason not to.

Evan Baker

Just some guy, or so he'd describe himself as to others. While its true on the surface he appears as someone unremarkable, on several occasions he's come in close contact with the supernatural. And nothing so far has managed to break his stoic demeanor. Evan just wants to relax, maybe with a partner at his side whom he can give his heart full of love to.

Evelyn Hayes

A homunculus crafted to be perfect, meant to be an heir for a mage family until they actually managed to conceive a child. Evelyn's lived much of her life being treated as merely an object, meant to act as an assistant for the heir of the house she lives in. Up until the end of the Hayes grail war of succession, even Evelyn herself believed that she would simply be an object till the end of her days. Now, she hopes to find her own wants and desires, and live.

Felix Carter

A man who looks shady and actually is shady. Felix is willing to get his hands as dirty as necessary for whoever is paying for his services. Whether is guarding someone from thugs, or carrying out a hit, he tends to come back successful. Battered and bruised, but successful. And sometimes he's not even on a job, some gang thugs just decides to jump him and he shows them why its a bad idea.

Iblis

Iblis just enjoys the simple things in life. A fight that pushes him past his limits, and expanding his rule. But beneath the bloodlust and conquest, he is just tired of the youth having their futures ripped away in favor of some prophecy or otherwise. If he could escape from it all, perhaps he might find some measure of peace.

Laenari Melotte

Akinari's first child, who traveled with her father through the grand cosmos until she arrived with them on the planet they now live on. She is full of energy, never seeming to get tired no matter how much they run and play. She highly enjoys meeting new people, seeing it as a chance to make new friends. Though unrestrained at times, Laenari ultimately means well and hopes to make lasting memories.

Lana

Demon hunter, party girl, and all around softie for whoever she has to come home to. Lana lives a wild life, throwing herself at demons and monsters who seek to cause chaos and destruction and other such things. This is her city, and any ugly bastards who seek to ruin it have to answer to her. And things can get pretty stylish when she fights.

Linnet Hayes

She's had it pretty rough, as if the eyepatch isn't enough of an indication. While she does have an artificial eye, it irritates her severely on some days and simply doesn't use it. Born as the heir to her family, and given plenty of expectations to live up to that title, it was ultimately stripped from her after the Grail War of Succession. It's left her reasonably bitter at the victorious family, and perhaps unreasonably bitter at everyone else.

Lucy Melotte

A woman who's had her heart broken too many times. One would think that being a half-succubus would make relationships easy, but every single one of her former loves only wanted her for her body. And she feels she's more than that. Though spending so many nights alone has left her feeling she'll never find someone who truly loves her for her. Past her prime, and single.

Mayall Melotte

Entity of the cosmos, formed of the swirling stars and filled with the sort of love only a mother has. Mayall has given life to many beings over the course of her own, and is always seeing to create more. Earning her favor as a lover is easy if you provide her with a child. She will always be there to support those she loves, they need only look up to her and she will be there without fail.

Sophia Stillbough

A simple tavern owner that seeks to create a warm, homely environment for patrons. Most of the people who walk through her doors are the adventuring type, and it always brings a smile to her face to see them hale and whole. But she does get saddened when someone leaves her tavern for the last time. Most make it to bigger and better cities than the simple village she lives in, but there's enough that meet unfortunate ends. It weighs heavy on her heart, but she keeps smiling not to worry anyone around her.

Wren Hayes

Bran's twin, a mage that is deeper into druidism than he is. Wren is very attuned with nature, and feels somewhat uncomfortable in cold rigid buildings as a result. A fiery sort of gal who seeks to improve her current grasp of magecraft for her own ends, though she keeps these reasons close to heart.

Zuhaku

Assassin in service to royalty, Zuhaku is fiercely loyal and carries out his missions to the letter. As an arctic fox, he thrives in cold environments and can even create a cold area around him. It's hard to say if he can control this though, no one's ever felt him turn off that chilling air around him. And fittingly, he has a cold personality, occasionally toying with his targets before finishing them off.

Alright, let's start with Siri, Niv, and their whole family. Luckily I have a family tree picture to make it all a bit more clear :D

Okay so quick info on Siri's family, aka the Vínteri family; they're a branch of the Hofferson family, which makes Seer a distant cousin to Astrid. The Vínteri's are bakers, Siri's dad, Felix, being the one currently holding onto the bakery (after his death he passes it on to his youngest daughter, Lilja).

Siri herself has a pretty good relationship with most people in her family! No traumatic childhood or anything, her parents love her very much (even tho Felix has very high expectations of her so their family's status could be heightened, mainly having to do with wanting her to marry into a well-off family) and she and her sister have a very teasing, but trusting bond. Besides that, she looks up greatly to Astrid and as a kid strives to be more like her, but that fades as she gets older and grows in her own personality.

Now onto my favorite relationships in the family tree; Siri with her kids. Her son, Niv, was born when she was only 22, almost 23, just over half a year after she and Gustav got married, and was a few months premature. Due to this and other circumstances, poor baby boy was believed to have passed merely two hours after his birth. However, he had miraculously survived since Siri and Gustav had no idea that premature births can cause breathing problems and accidentally gave him a funeral while he was still alive. Happens to the best of us. Baby boy was adopted into an assassin tribe and grew up completely traumatised, as this tribe was a brutal environment for kids.

However, after his return almost 14 years later, he finally got to have parents who loved and supported him through everything! Siri did feel really bad and saw herself as responsible for all the bad stuff that happened to her son tho, which caused her to try extra hard to be a good mother for him. She gently coached him into a steady lifestyle, taught him how to knit and talked to him about everything and nothing. Niv felt extremely grateful for that; she never judged him for any of the things he had to do while in the assassin tribe, and introduced him into the family he never had. He got very close with Siri's mom, who helped him break down the wall he had build around him.

When Siri was 27, she had her first daughter after having had trouble conceiving for years. Thus, her baby girl, Sunniva, was her everything. She had lost Niv already, she wouldn't lose Sunni too. While Sunniva was a daddy's girl, she adored her mom very much and would often ask Siri to read books to her or to help her bake cookies. Everything the girl wanted (within reach), she would get. Siri went out of her way to provide for her daughter, keeping her close to her as she was afraid of losing her too.

When Niv returned, Siri was only months away from having her second daughter, Helene. Sunni was 10 at the time, overjoyed to have a sibling, and while Niv was a bit uncomfortable at the thought of a small child at first, he quickly warmed up to his baby sister, getting to pick her name.

Sunni and Niv grew to be partners in crime, both having a good set of brains and a lot of opinions. They would often shittalk together as they got older or dissing their dad for the fun of it. However, they also did their best to keep Helene (who was a little rascal and could not sit still) out of trouble as she was very into pranking.

Siri absolutely spoils her kids, loving them more than she had ever loved anyone - her family is the only thing she would actually throw a punch for. The siblings are sometimes pretty impulsive and Siri couldn't adore their little antics more than she already does <3

Anyways, that's on Siri's family! I love them a lot as you can see lmao and I would love to talk about them more! While Siri is actually just a gateway to Niv's story, she does have her own hijinks she gets up to in her teenage years when she joins the Auxiliary with Gustav. Stuff gets wacky real quick lmao.

This is Zachary, one of my Encanto OCs.

He's the second child in Alzatico's family, and the second eldest of Oscar's brothers. His gift is the gift of telekinesis, the ability to move things with his mind. He befriends Felix and Agustin, the people who married into the Madrigals, especially cause Felix likes how Zachary's powers liven up any day in the Encanto. Secretly, he doesn't like how his dad treats Oscar.

Personality: He is known to be the shy and quiet brother of Alzatico's family. He isn't one for conversation, cause he has personal space boundaries. When he does speak, it's calm, and intellectual. He also cares for Oscar, and dislikes his dad for everytime he berates him. Appearance: An 20 year old big-looking man with pale skin, blue eyes [that turn green when he uses his gift], dirty blonde hair, a small stubbly goatee, and a thin moustache, in the same colours. His clothes consist of a sleeveless brown ruana, with no shirt underneath, grey pants, and clay brown sandals.
