[Gift drawing] Christmas with the northern lights

❄Drawing, Crystals of the Northern Lights (AU) and Diana Anderson (OC) belong to @imoonblaze (KlfunsskXD)

An early gift for ShadeTomlinson in Deviantart.

This was not supposed to be for the Winter Wonderland event but rather another drawing, however, I didn't want to have to do two drawings that would take away my time to do other things, so I decided to do it for the event and for the gift.

After having seen the new winter special of My Little Pony: Make your mark - Secrets of Starlight and having had an obsession with the northern lights, they have given me inspiration to create this fictional setting with a theme of crystals and winter... .which I will possibly make an AU about this world.

❄About my AU❄ AU: Crystals of the Northern Lights Crystal Northerns, coming from another universe, is a cold and cozy country full of magic and life where its nights are filled with beautiful colorful lights that give light to the darkness of the sky. In this country the nights are very long and prosperous, but the days are very bright, active and full of life due to the activity of the population having to live in a winter that never disappears... having among these the ones that go the longest to work as well as others who go to recreation and snow sports.

The buildings are created from a special material that allows their inhabitants to be isolated from the cold and for the heat to be concentrated inside their homes. But what most characterizes this country, besides the auroras, are the crystalline roofs of its houses, which give the illusion of being made of diamond or crystalline ice that shines in a variety of colors.

Its national flag is a very dark purple color that represents the night with an image of an aurora borealis from which three glass fragments of different colors emerge. The representative national gems of this country are Quartz, Topaz and Diamond, and the emblematic and representative animals are the reindeer, owl, fox, hedgehog and squirrel.

How I feel about this character:

SHE IS EVERYTHING. She has such an interesting backstory and concept, and I love ot when she's actually used! She's sheltered and naïve, but she's well-read and clever, good at puzzles and mysteries. She's so cheery when she actually gets a chance to see the world, and it's such a stark contrast to how miserable she was in St. Mystere, quite literally never smiling. I love her!!!! Wish she got more screentime...

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

Uh... I guess I'm partial to Flora with Amelia Ruth or Katia Anderson, but I'm not big on the Flora shipping scene, tbh. I do really like @101flavoursofweird's OC Kuri with Flora, though! <3

My non-romantic OTP with this character:

Ooo, so many choices... In a canonical sense, I do really enjoy Flora with Don Paolo, little engineering buddies. But... Come one. I have to also give it to Flora and Aurora, the two who can never have canonically met, bit absolutely have in my heart. <3 They fill similar roles and are similarly sheltered, but their arcs go on very different trajectories, and I love the way I can have them interact

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

LAYTON ADMIT HE WAS WRONG ABOUT THE WAY HE TREATED FLORA CHALLENGE. She deserves a lot better than to be the but of the joke for being mad about how she, someone with clear abandonment issues, is frequently left behind and treated like a burden and like she's incompetent, when she clearly is very smart! He's telling no one by forcing her to be incapable by giving her zero opportunities.

(also pretty please Flora for NWoS 🥺)

My OTP:

As I said before, I'm not really big into Flora ships, so I'm not really sure I have one? Not the "maybe even a boyfriend" Level-5 says she could get in the future... 🙄 /lh

My OT3:

Yeah, I... Don't really have one. If anyone has a super cool Flora OT3 I would love to hear it, haha, but I don't really ship her enough to have one

Hey!!! For the fact exchange game, Aurora Anderson’s usual alarm song is Eye Of The Tiger (but every month or so she changes it for a week before switching back)

I love how fans are creating their own OCs/content to fill the void left by Level 5.

You thought Descole’s dead wife/partner and daughter were nameless, faceless characters relegated to a few throw-away lines during Azran Legacy? Actually, what if his wife was a death-defying badass trying to take down Targent? What if she played a part in Descole’s plans, like writing the Eternal Kingdom story? What if Desmond and his bookish husband adopt a baby together?

What if Desmond’s daughter liked to dress up as Descole and she was the inspiration for him?

What if there was a FUTURE FLORA? What if you got to see her relationship with ‘Future Luke’ and the real Flora had more of an emotional stake in PL3?

What if every character got a name other than ‘Desmond‘s wife and daughter‘, ‘Angela’s brother’, and ‘Katia’s mother‘?
