I've already posted an instrumental version of this track here earlier (albeit didn't include the lyrics in the post), but I recently got recommended to try out SynthV and I liked how it sounded. I previously was using Vocaloid here and there, and I used it just for reference vocals mapping, to see how the lyrics actually go with the music, and nothing else, bc all my songs are ideally meant to be sung by real people. Albeit in this specific case (Gyroscope AU, android Umbra got reactivated in a world where all the humans are dead fsr, and only robots remain) this kind of slightly clanky vocals can even be seen as.. authentic I guess? anyway I intend to comm a vocalist for this later, but for now this synth will do

I'm so excited to finally get to share my piece for the @oczine!! This piece is set in @kaijuqid's quest campaign Crystal Pantheon! My player character Umbra (purple tief) and his family are from the island of Semare, where their whole society subsists on blessed water from the goddess Aquamarine that eliminates the need to eat or sleep. However they still have various festivals during the year where food is important, including the springtime fishing festival! Here's Umbra and his skelly crush Ink getting teased by his older sister while the party preps the cooking pit and enjoys the beach :] This piece was really ambitious for me and was quite a challenge, but I'm very proud of how it ultimately came out!!

Taking a moment to think about my Dark Urge, who was a bard pre-tadpole, playing a hedonistic, self-absorbed entertainer to the masses to cover her “true identity” as a cold blooded mass murderer and cult leader

And how her sister Orin’s betrayal left her conscious mind so scrambled that these two disparate identities essentially merged in the most confusing way possible

Left in a defective meat suit with no memory, she can only follow her feelings, which can be boiled down to “murder feels good, so does sex” and “well yes you *should* worship me, who else is worthy of it?”

Bestie can you tell us anything abt your OCs 👁️👁️ I'm genuinely so curious

Ho-boy, there are so many of them and I don't even know where to start when it comes to them!!

I guess my most prominent and well established, in mine (and AJ's lol) head are my "mutant" OCs. It's a pretty large cast ranging from almost basically humans, like Halley and Zazriel, to the absolutely anomalies like Adonis and Sidney.

The story line is your typical tortured science experiments gaining freedom and fighting the cruel authorities. The ones who use them as living test tubes and try using them to play God. The standard for edgy children like I was when I made the original story... I grew to attached though obviously. Though more of the story leans towards slice of life stuff or mutants adjusting, in some cases readjusting, to society. The issue is when you involve divine deities into the fray and pocket dimensions and basically I have created what feels like my own Homestuck.

Some important characters that I do want to make a comic explaining their origins and such are Umbra*, Alex, and Ryder. Mainly because I gave them the most trauma, because something is wrong with me and I accept criticism on that. /hj

Each character has their interesting struggles and accomplishments that make them so endearing to me. While there is that whole main storyline that I refer to, most of the stuff I make with them feels rather silly or light-hearted. Really they are just guys going through life. With the occasional ass kicking involved as well.

*Umbra was designed by @/itsaaudraw!!! I'm scared to directly tag them as I don't want to be weird lol.
