sorry i’m going to complain about covid again so if you’re tired of that. scroll. but my fucking god the guilt of being the one who brings it into your home….knowing it isn’t your fault but like feeling like a little worm for potentially making your parent sick or potentially messing up the holidays….just having to wait to see the consequences of it every single day…..and just not knowing anything for certain at all, not knowing when you’ll test negative again or when you’ll get your taste/smell back or where you got it or when you started being contagious dear GOD it’s a health anxiety girls worst nightmare. and everyone told me it was just a cold

#and i know i am very fortunate to not have gotten sicker and not live with an autoimmune disorder or any other disability #about to admit something SO embarrassing on the tl but i don’t care anymore #my whole life when i am anxious i have used the smell of my beloved childhood security blanket to calm down and i can’t do that anymore :( #bc i can’t smell anything :( #ANDDD it’s fucking me up bc recently i’ve felt like i have no autonomy and i was like okay i’ll go to the mall and walk around :) #that’ll help me reclaim my autonomy and feel less anxious about being out in the world it’ll be so good for me! #i go and boom i get covid the ONEEEE time i try to be alone and feel less anxious about it

Things that happened today:

I was working from home which actually means that I flexed my hours so I answered emails on my phone while I was out and am now actually doing work

I went to thrift stores trying to find cat stuff before the shelter opened

I went in with the intention of possibly adopting tadpole, the kitten I met yesterday, and they were like hey by the way she has a brother that’s still here do you want to meet him too and after spending two hours petting them while they laid in my lap I decided to adopt both of them because I love them so much even if it was a lot more money than I was planning to spend

I get twenty feet out of the spca parking lot and run over a nail which gives me an immediate flat tire, road side assistance that usually covers these things for free decided that I’m no longer covered by it so I had to pay 60 bucks for someone to come out and put the spare on

I have to drive for work so I was going to have to call in sick for work tomorrow to go get it fixed if I didn’t get it fixed right away so I go to Sam’s club and they initially say they can fix it and then say that it actually has a tire that needs to be special ordered and wouldn’t be there for five days and also that they don’t think anyone would have that size tire on hand because it’s small?

I decide to try the good year down the road in a last ditch effort and they said they don’t usually have that tire but they do today and 180 dollars later my car was fixed

Got home waaaay later than I meant to and am now working, the kitties got scared while the spare was being put on and had a major accident in the crate and they won’t let me clean them but otherwise they’re settling in well and I love them so much

#I spent so much money today I’m working hard on not losing my mind over it #the cats did keep me calm when all of this was going down though #it was so cold and the triple A person was like it’ll be about an hour and a half and I was like um I have kittens in the car I just adopted #and they were like okay it’ll be thirty minutes lol #their names at the spca were tadpole and froglet which are very cute but I was planning to rename tadpole hope and now I’m thinking I’ll #rename froglet luck it’s still up in the air though #in the third picture they’re laying one on top of the other in between my legs lmao

Okay I’m sorry but I just have to say… I lowkey hated that episode! And I know it just happened and I haven’t given myself a moment to think rationally but like, what the fuck was that?? The only plot points were some random burglary case out of nowhere and then Hen trying to become a doctor. Why did they introduce Noah only to have him turn out to be a burglary conspirator and then have him, a Black man, get arrested at his workplace in front of all his coworkers? Then, Hoover Grant-Nash being bounced around to the entire 118 only for him to land with people who will for sure never be on the show again?? Why play with us like that with Hoover in the first place if they weren’t gonna keep him, I’m fuming. And then ending with Hen immediately leaving the 118 to be a doctor? That was so sudden, gave us no time to process! And then throwing in breadcrumbs of a Buddie moment right at the end to keep us here. No, I’m not buying it. I am so sick of this shit, they started off episode 1 with a major Buddie moment to hook us in and then gave us basically zero interactions every episode after that. They know exactly what they’re doing and I am over it! Definitely gonna keep watching the show, but I am not liking this season so far at all and I am going to stop even thinking about Buddie maybe happening at all because this is ridiculous and I am tired of being made a fool here.
