I love weirdcest bro. I love it even more when Sam and Dean are just oblivious to it. Bobby catches them just holding hands while they watch TV and just sort of stares. They notice him there, but their fingers don't separate. It doesn't feel weird or wrong or bad because Sam got hurt, and holding hands is just convenient because it means Dean can keep checking his pulse, because he needs to. It's the only thing that settles him down.

Or when Mary returns, and is living with them in the bunker. She watches Dean cook dinner. Sam's sat at the breakfast bar watching with what she could only describe as adoration in his eyes, a soft smile on his lips. It feels off, but she scolds herself. Tells herself it's a good thing that her boys care for each other so much. But then Dean leans over with a spoon, guiding it to Sam's mouth with that same sort of fondness, and her uneasiness grows until she leaves the room and waits to be called in for dinner.

Or when John walks into the motel room late one evening. One of the three beds in empty, and his eyes land on his boys sharing a bed. Dean's got his arms curled around Sam in an almost protective manner, and Sam is curled up against his chest. Sam's seventeen, Dean is twenty two. John figures the embarrassing position was unintentional. Convinces himself of the fact so clearly that he snaps a photo on his phone to use as blackmail, before 'accidently' kicking the bed and jolting the pair awake. Dean's arm remains around Sam while the brunette blinks blearily, and his oldest starts reaching for his gun.

"Just me, sorry guys. Knocked into the bed. Probably a good thing," he joked, gesturing to them.

Sam looked confused and tired, remaining slumped against his brother. Dean looked pissed. He hadn't moved the arm situated around Sam's waist, and John can't stop fixating on it.

"Just go to bed, dad," Dean sighed, lying down as the adrenaline left him. He brought Sam down with him, who went easily, returning his head the Dean's chest.

"...right," John muttered, heading to the bathroom.

He deleted the photo, and resisted the urge to burn the phone completely.

i think i’d be happy with any ending for ghosts but my ideal ending is this: typical day for alison & mike being successful business owners. then, montage or a scrapbook showing us the years going by; refurbishments to button house, various achievements, a baby or two, various family portraits featuring the ghosts with alison, mike, his family, their own kids etc. THEN smash cut to kiell & charlotte in old people makeup. they’ve lived good long lives. we’re happy for them. they’re in bed and mike dies! but alison doesn’t! he doesn’t get sucked off immediately because the second he sees the ghosts he’s ECSTATIC. the episode is like a good 15 minutes of mike hanging out with the ghosts and alison rolling her eyes and what not. maybe they have one kid that can see ghosts and one that can’t and little background gags is the other one acting just like mike (looking up to speak to ghosts etc.). hijinks ensue yadda yadda alison dies too and then they all get sucked off together <3 ridiculous but the idea makes me grin.

In the AU April makes sure that after the destruction of the lair, because of the fire, Casey Marie doesn't try nor gets any type of scientific advance on creating more potential warriors. April wants Casey to understand that the resistance under her lead is enough to keep going and win (which they do in the end!). So after a few (unsuccessful) tries, thanks to April, Casey Marie doesn't try again.

i love reading things set in countries that i'm knowledgeable and/or have been to because i can point out really minor errors in fanfiction. i think the average american does not know that in england (and apparently some of asia! which i only just found out) there are switches on power outlets so you can just turn it off instead of unplugging it. like 9 times out of 10 that won't come up but on the off chance it does i'm like ohoho. this clown has never been to england...! my favorite part though is watching americans (specifically americans because i swear to god people who speak english as a second language and/or are from any other country have some idea of what it's like to have an accent / personally know people who have accents? idk) try to write british accents like it is REALLY funny. i literally only lived their for five years and i never picked up a full accent myself (certain words and tones i did but they're mostly gone after living in the states again for a few years) but between living there and having a ridiculous amount of family there & visiting them often (like once a year if im lucky) i like KNOW what british accents sound like. i think some americans genuinely dont even know theres more than one or two english accents i think some people think there's like posh english and chav english and nothing else. maybe scottish accent gets thrown in there if they remember the uk is not in fact just england. i would bet real money they've never heard a welsh accent. anyway my point is it's really funny watching people who don't know as much as i do write this stuff. like i see it and i understand how doctors read this and go Oh that is so medically inaccurate. i get them now. anyway i dont remember what my point here was but please know if you are attempting to write a british accent. reddit and youtube are your best friends if you don't have a british friend you can ask and also rest assured even if you do ONE google search. it will not be the worst attempt ive seen guaranteed
