Our ships: We are a polyshipper and a multishipper. We ship multiple characters together in the same context, in the same relationship, in the same fics etc.

A "ship" for us does not equal in OTP or an ideal relationship. We use the word "ship" to denote any romantic or sexual relationship between two characters, even when that relationship is unhealthy, toxic, twisted, and bad for one or both participants. Ships are a narrative tool, not something aspirational. 

Plurality: We are a plural system– many people living together in one body. We have been plural since we were children, and we have been blogging about our plurality for 15+ years.

Please do  not use psychiatric or pathologizing terminology for our plurality. We do not refer to ourselves with terms like DID, alter, or introject, and our system members do not have defined roles.

Our preferred terminology is: plural, system member, and fictive.

System members tend to sign or tag posts and refer to one another with a two emoji 'signature' rather than a name. Unsigned posts are understood to be a product of multiple members or a joint consensus.

I had to go more decades back in time (plural - yikes!). I'm sure it was Maron & Chiaki (Jeanne & Sinbad) from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. 9yo Me was so feral about them. 🥰

character headcanons ask game: hanzo if someone else hasn't already asked about him, or lucio if someone has. or both :D

i did hanzoooo (but i’m always down to do more pff) but i’ll do lucio cuz tbh i had to think about this a bit. what ARE my headcanons for my favorite frog boy 🤔

Sexuality Headcanon: this is a good question—i think for him it’s about the vibes—is he vibing with someone. tbh lucio strikes me as someone who falls in love with a lot of people in a lot of different ways; he’s always in love with someone or something. but at the same time i don’t know if the concept of being with someone is something that he’s truly thought out. he’s always on the move, always on the go, always living life to the fullest extent and in a manner of ways i think he just needs someone (or potentially plural) that matches his energy. might be poly-pan perhaps, i think that would work for him.

Gender Headcanon: nb masculine would be a fun headcanon for him tbh. i don’t know if i’m that pressed i just know he’s a dude lol

A ship I have with said character: i’m actually a pretty big bunnyribbit fan and when i’m not losing my mind over hana and daehyun (the real otp) then these two are always thick as thieves to me. just as i was talking about in the sexuality headcanon, i think hana just matches his energy. HONESTLY BIG BRAIN THOUGHT of hana, lucio, daehyun ot3 oh my god—

A BROTP I have with said character: in the same frame, the hana lucio friendship is chefs kiss but i think most people pair them as friends together. that aside, i think he and tracer are such cute friends!!

A NOTP I have with said character: hmm. him and junkrat ig? but i just think all the junkers are useless to the story and i dislike all of them fr. so its less to do with the ship itself and more like general disdain for all 4 (yes i include the fucking hamster) of those characters and that sector of the ovw universe. shoulda never been made imo.

A random headcanon: i think his love of jazz music came from his father 💛💛

General Opinion over said character: i love him 🥺🥺 definitely the first character after hanzo and cass that i got attached to because he’s black and fun and sweet and has such good energy and also frogs 🥺 but i think the fandom does have a tendency to… dumb him down a bit. like he doesn’t get as much agency and thought as other characters do, which is ridiculous because he literally led an entire revolution for his people??? but people sleep on it??? he is very good natured tho but i think its silly to think he never gets angry or wouldn’t kick someone’s ass cuz he can and did. AND DID.

1: sexuality headcanon

I generally headcanon him as gay, although I've been known to enjoy the occasional Eddie/Chrissy fic.

2: otp

Steve! I just think their dynamic is so fun and I wish I'd gotten to see more of it.

3: brotp

Dustin is the obvious one, but I really really like him being odd-couple best friends with Chrissy, in a world where both of them lived. Also Nancy, because I think he's intimidated as hell by her and I find that really entertaining.

4: notp

I don't hate it, but I don't really see the appeal of Eddie/Billy, like, at all.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head

The 'this machine slays dragons' acoustic guitar was inherited from Wayne, who also taught him the basics of how to play back when he was a kid, before his shitty home situation completely collapsed and he moved out of his parents' house for good. There's a reason music has always meant safety and home to him.

Relatedly, he knows a lot of bluegrass, folk, and country songs by heart, not that he'd ever admit it.

6: favorite line from this character

'Don't you, big boy' is of course a perennial favorite, but special mention to 'You, Nancy Wheeler, have guns, plural, in your bedroom??' because it makes me lol. Poor baby.

7: one way in which I relate to this character

Uhhhh it would be easier to list the ways I don't, actually. Geeky mouthy metalhead from a shitty small town who got into a lot of trouble in school, failed to live up to academic expectations, and was generally rumored to be a Satanist for reasons of being fucking weird. I didn't fail my senior year of high school or get eaten by monsters, at least. And I can't play guitar.

8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

Really not that much? Specifically because when he's being ridiculous it's generally on purpose.

Willow Rosenberg for the character ask game!

Favorite thing about them

When I first watched Buffy as a kid I overidentified with Willow to a worrying and slightly obnoxious degree.  She was smart! And funny! And had hidden depths!  And was occasionally callous and strange.  All very relatable.

(And I for one found it completely believable that Willow could teach a class despite not even being a senior yet.  I mean, I was pretty sure I could do that, if only anybody had thought to ask me....)

She's not my favorite character anymore, but I still like her a lot.  

I think she's probably the second best realized character across the whole show, with a narrative arc that nobody other than Buffy can really compete with.  And I think it's great how so much of what she does, even in the later seasons, can be explained by her character in the first couple of seasons: her attempts to live up to being Ms. Calendar's replacement;  her instincts to take charge in a crisis; her need to always be helpful so that people she cares about will want her around.

Least favorite thing about them

There are a few subplots with Willow that I don't think really work.  The secret affair with Xander, just after the show went out of its way to confirm that she'd moved on from pining over him.  The 'magic is a drug and Willow is an addict' subplot, that briefly threatens to derail all the character progression she's had over the past six years.  But what the show does to her relationship with Buffy in the second half of season 7 is the low point, probably.  I mean, she kicks her best friend out of her own house so that Faith can be in charge?  Willow does this?  I don't think so.

Speaking of Faith, I also have very different emotions watching Willow tell Faith "It's way too late" to redeem herself in Choices these days than I did when I first watched the episode.  ("You had friends in your life like Buffy"?  Did she, Will?  Friends, plural? Are you sure about that?  Could you name two of them?)  If I think about it for too long, it makes me a little sad that the reaction I had to this scene aged thirteen ("go Willow!") was probably closer to what I think the writers intended.

Favorite line

"I knew it!  I knew it!  Well, not ‘knew it’ in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know!"

Actually, this was almost also my answer for the nOTP question as well: Willow's early crush on Xander is kind of adorable (if often inexplicable, given what we see of early Xander), but I'm really glad the show doesn't have them end up together.

Willow's friendship with Xander over the course of the show is really great though.  And I think it works particularly well post-Season 4, when ... yeah, they don't really have much in common, but they still have all that shared history that they don't have with anybody else, and they still obviously mean a lot to each other.

OTP

Oh, Tara, for sure.

(I mean, I love Oz, I think he's great, and I'm still mad about how he gets written out of the show in Season 4, but there can only be one answer to this question, right?)

nOTP

Hmm.  I don't particularly dislike Kennedy as a character -- and the truth is she's one of the only Potentials who I can easily remember -- but I do think the writers rush Willow into a relationship with her a lot faster than they should have done after Tara died.  (On the other hand, given how quickly Willow herself tries to set Buffy up with Scott Hope after sending Angel to hell, and how much importance she puts on being in a romantic relationship generally throughout the show, I guess it's not exactly out of character for Willow either.)  Kennedy has the bad luck of only being in my least favorite  season of the show though, so.

Also, and I know this is one of those worldbuilding questions I'm in danger of thinking about more than the writers ever did, but. I can't really wrap my head around how Kennedy can be young enough to still be a potential Slayer -- when we know from the Cruciamentum that all Slayers are called sometime before their eighteenth birthday or not at all -- and yet old enough to be in a relationship with Willow, who's presumably at least 21 years old when they meet.  (I think the show just ignores the Cruciamentum, right?)

Random headcanon

I don’t really see how Jesse and Willow can ever have been friends, given (among other things) their very different attitudes towards Cordelia Chase.  So although we see them hanging out in the first episode, I think this is one of those cases of two people associating because they have a friend in common – and not many other friends – even though they can’t actually stand each other.

(This also helps explain why Willow never talks about Jesse after he dies.)

Unpopular opinion

Honestly, I think it's kind of sad that Willow didn't get to go to any of the fancy colleges she was accepted into.

I mean, sure, she chooses not to go, and I know lots of people find that empowering or encouraging.  And of course, not everybody has to go to the most prestigious academic institutions they can, and it's not the end of the world if you don't go the 'best' college.  And I know that, on a more practical level, Willow had to go to UC Sunnydale if she was going to stay as a regular on the show.

But at the same time, when I see Willow and Buffy argue in the later seasons, when I see Willow feel resentful about being in Buffy's shadow and being seen as her sidekick, when she clearly has so much free time on her hands that she fills up with learning more and more magic,  I can't help but think that -- if Willow were a real person -- she'd have a been a lot happier at Harvard or Oxford or somewhere else where she might have actually been challenged academically for once in her life.  And that her relationship with Buffy might have been healthier if she hadn’t given up that future for her.

thalia/reyna from percy jackson: at age 13 i related a Lot to reyna and i had a Lot of "admiration" for thalia so i was so happy when they finally interacted. i drew fanart (which i still have!!) i already knew i was into girls at this point, but this was the first f/f ship i shipped. very formative

robin/patrick from general hospital: i think robin had already been kidnapped and presumed dead when i started watching and patrick was dating britt and then sabrina ...sam too at some point? idk. but when robin returned from the dead to crash patrick's wedding to sabrina??? nothing compares. i was so sad when they left, but hopefully their daughter, emma, will come back <3

adam/cherry blossom from sk8 the infinity: back on my now deleted sideblog i got random people in my inbox telling me off for "romanticizing abuse" [which wasn't even canon, as in they were mad at me over something that did not actually happen in the real show] and insinuating that i was probably a rapist and should kill myself. only made me ship them harder! i ended up preferring them to my original otp that the blog was centered around >:)

first ship:

the first ship that made me read fic and interact with fandom was will/nico from the percy jackson series, but the first ship i was actually making fic for was kate/humphrey from the movie alpha and omega (about wolves) when i was 9. that is by all accounts a pretty mediocre movie (and all the direct to DVD sequels are embarrassing) but like the good young furry i was... i have the game on my DSi and i would make flipnotes (plural, this was a whole series) that were essentially 500+ frame comics about kate and humphrey's daughter growing up and having her own adventures and romance (this was before those awful sequels canonized their pups). my version was better for the record <3

While I do have OTPs in other fandoms, and I will list the ones I can remember lol, nothing and I mean nothing, comes close to my love for NaruSaku.

NaruSaku was my first ever ship and it has been my longest lasting one. Probably always will be tbh.

I tend to track levels of OTP by if I can reliably ship either character with someone else you see. If I can? They're lower down the list.

For example? I can ship Naruto and Sakura with other people but only really Ino reliably and even then I have to address why Naruto and Sakura aren't a couple in that AU before I can even begin to work on the story.

Everyone on the above list, except Gambit and Rogue, they belong together, I can either ship with someone else with ease or they're a new OTP and I'm not as attached lol.

And yes, by all means, ask me about ALL of those ships lol. I'd love an excuse.

She would not believe him if he wanted her to. They both knew it. The Doctor looked across the console of the TARDIS at Rose Marion Tyler, and she looked across the console at him, and although she had asked, he’d called her bluff. Yes, everything was a lie - yes, all of it was rubbish, every second had meant nothing, they had never been a them - so what was she going to do, now? Believe him? No, she wasn’t. And good for her, because there wasn’t any reason to, they both knew that they needed each other. At the very least, he needed her. He’d told Jackie a thousand times: it wasn’t a matter of whether the Doctor would look after her daughter, because Rose was not the one who needed looking after. Yes, it was all a lie. All of it. Yes, it was lie, get off his ship, leave him to do this alone. Yes, he was lying, he isn’t that sort of a man, these people’s suffering doesn’t bother him, he doesn’t want to help, he has never wanted to help, why was she pushing him to - “I’m a traveller, Rose. That is what I have been from the start. That’s not lying, I have NEVER been -” “But they need help.” “But they shouldn’t be in that position. I told them not to be, I said, I told them, people have gone down there and never come out, and of course they went down there!” He laughed it; it was hysterical, really, he threw some lever down at the dashboard and turned to face her, gesturing wildly, “Ohh, you lot - curiosity or bust, you HAD to go down there!” And then he was silent. Then the console room was silent. There was only one reason the Doctor was fighting the decision to go down into those caves. And it wasn’t because humans were too curious for their own good - it was because Rose, specifically, had been too curious for her own good. And he was worried what he might find of her in there. (He was going to tell her she wasn’t real. He WAS. He had planned to tell her - she’d just woken up - the distress call had come through when she’d got to the control room and he’d just - he had needed a Rose to tell him what to do. SHE looked after HIM, not the other way around. But he was going to tell her. In a way better than yelling ‘You HAD to go down there!’ in her face.)

favorite thing about them: gosh that's not easy. I have thought about it for a while and wrote two whole paragraphs but basically in the end it boils down to: He is warm and caring, awkward and odd, he is so cunning and such a dad and I love, love, love his character arc

least favorite thing about them: the whole obsession with war. I mean obviously it makes sense for his character, but I'm just not vibing with that (also the fact that he would dislike me, for various reasons 🤭)

See above re: Edith/Lucille. I don’t think it would have been endgame, per se, any more than the OT3 would have. This story was always going to end in tragedy.

But I wish at the very least, there had been some openly acknowledged attraction there- I know Jessica Chastain played Lucille as queer and there was that line about Edith’s “fascination with the Sharpes,” plural, but. I don’t know. I would have liked it to be a bit more clearly canon.

9. Ship That You Wish Had Different Storyline

Honestly, it’s not a specific ship, but I just wish they’d done ANYTHING of substance with Danny in Carmilla.

I have tons of headcanons about her and why her face-heel turn was so sudden, mostly pertaining to extreme anxiety issues and manipulation by the Dean, but they’re just that- headcanons. She has very little depth in the actual series. None of her relationships with any of the characters seem to go anywhere (not even Kirsch, her second-most-popular love interest in the fandom after Laura), and that’s a real pity. Because she had a ton of potential, but ultimately ended up seeming like just Proof That Laura Was Already Gay who stuck around for too long.

Put her with Betty. Put her with Matty! (Put SOMEONE with Matty because, my god, the world needs more Matska Belmonde stat.) Don’t just have her hang around and then peace out in a puff of wasted possibilities.

I got this response to my VERY POSITIVE review to episode 10x18 “Find Me.” and I started to respond in that post, but I was on my 3rd comment and decided to just make this a separate post because, yeah, it was getting long.

So @leofortis725, note your word usage which was HER word usage: "a triangle WOULD BE juicy." I.e., this isn't anything the actress who plays Leah (no, I don’t know her name, nor do I care) knows, it's just something that she thinks would be juicy. And she only thinks that because it would get her more attention, more press, and fans (from the ABC brigade).

In terms of story and narrative, we damn well know it isn't happening. Why do we know? Because it’s the narrative, and the narrative is all Caryl, baby!

I know it's easy to not be hopeful due to all that happened pre-Kang, but I have faith. After her very first episode as showrunner, I saw where it was going. (I'm used to analyzing shows and I’m pretty durn good at seeing what the showrunners have planned). I knew that the Carol/Zeke marriage was good for Caryl due to how it was being set-up/shown on screen.

I do not lie. This is what I wrote when the episode premiered about Caryl:

- So… Carol. And Carol and Daryl. And Carol and Ezekiel. I was actually quite surprised with my reaction. Frankly, it was all VERY positive as far as this Caryler is concerned. I guess I should explain where my feelings on each of them start with.

I adore Carol. She’s my favorite character, period. I also do really like Daryl. Caryl are my OTP of the show. I also really do like Ezekiel and I think that he’s been a great addition to the show. I think that MMB and NR have fantastic chemistry. I do not think that MMB and KP have chemistry. OK…. thoughts on what happened with them in the premiere.

I thought that Carol and Ezekiel were cute. He makes Carol smile and that’s good. As she said to Daryl, after Ed, corny is good. HOWEVER, in my opinion, the way the Carol/Ezekiel scenes were presented and the way the Caryl scenes were presented in this premiere were VERY telling in my opinion. I think despite the marriage proposal, the C/E romance, etc., that what Carylers got was very, very good for Caryl. Like REALLY, REALLY good.

Carol was so honest with Daryl. Carol DID for Daryl. She heard that whole conversation between Rick and Daryl and basically decided to put her life with Ezekiel/Henry on hold FOR DARYL. And furthermore SHE DIDN’T TELL Ezekiel that. She told him it was about her “friends.” It wasn’t about her friends (plural). Nope, it was all about Daryl. It was all about doing it FOR DARYL. Carol is able to unburden herself and share herself, all of herself, even the truth of her relationship with Ezekiel WITH DARYL.

That’s huge. She wants what is best for him. Daryl, on the other hand, wants what is best for Carol. He clearly is not impressed with Ezekiel. Doesn’t really like the guy, but if he makes Carol happy, then Daryl is willing to accept it. So, we’ve got the reverse of Daryl wants what is best for Carol. In that scene between the two what we saw in counterpoint to the scene between her and Ezekiel is that while Carol may care about Ezekiel, hell, she may even love him, she’s in love with Daryl, and Daryl is in love with her.

And we were reminded of that romantic tinge because of the use of “Pookie” and Carol even flirted slightly with him in that scene, plus her curling up against him at the end. Of course, not to mention the way that Daryl would look at her *when* he allowed himselt TO look at her.

So yeah… I absolutely think that that this whole Carol/Ezekiel thing is a stepping stone that will lead to Carol and Daryl and it’s one that Angela Kang felt was necessary to deal with the damage that’s been done over the last couple of years.

I wrote that on October 18, 2018. I think it’s fair to say that I was right. And I think because of that, it’s a good bet that I’m right about this Leah thing too. What we saw in 10x18 was the exact same thing. It's ALL ABOUT CARYL.

So, yeah, this actress can think it "would be juicy" all she wants, but that means nothing. Absolutely nothing. Zero, zilch, squat. Because that episode, that storyline, that arc, just like Carol and Zeke, was all about Daryl and Carol, Carol and Daryl... CARYL!

Hello! For the give me a character game, would you want to do Takato Matsuki and/or Airu Suzaki? Have a nice day/night!

Alrighty im going with Takato!

1. Do i like them? Yes!

2. 5 good qualities: He's a kindhearted person! Helpfull and always ready to listen to his friends. Of course he is very creative. Plus he isn't repressing his emotions which is rare for male characters in shows.

3. 3 bad qualities: He gets swept away by his emotions easily and in the heat of the moment he just charges right into battle without thinking. (I can only think of two bad qualities ahhhhhh)

4. Favourite episode? The first episode since it's a wonderful introduction to Takato as a character! I also greatly enjoy episodes 34 and 35 since those show Takato at his lowest; him evolving Guilmon into Megidramon was terrifying.

5. Otp? Takato and Jeri im sorry these two are so cute! And the buildup was so much fun to watch!

6. Notp? Takato and Ruki. These two are rivals and i can't imagine Ruki falling for the Googlehead. (Plus i think her and Ryo are cuter together)

7. Ot3? Got none haha

8. Brotp? Kenta, Kazu and Takato since they're the OG's and Takato, Jenrya and Ruki, the three strongest Tamers!

9. Best quotes? I like all of them haha

10. Headcanon? Takato is part of the Royal Knights! After he saw Guilmon again and returned to the Digiworld, they were approached by Duftmon who recruited them into the Royal Knights! Him and Guilmon still continue travelling through the Digiworld on their own and at one point, while working in an Armoury as Gallantmon they met a human girl called Zoe ;) Sadly he was under orders not to intervene with Lucemon but after meeting the Warrior of Wind he knew the Digiworld was gonna be okay. The Gallantmon in Frontier uses the Plural to refer to themselves and i just really like the thought of that Gallantmon being the very same one we met in Tamers!

The Royal Knights Takato gets along with the best are UlforceVeedramon and Duftmon! The former is more laid back and likes to just explore the world and the latter is always willing to hold lengthy discussions with Gallantmon about whatever might concern them! Takato and Guilmon faced problems simply because Guilmon is a Virus type so Takato vowed to make it so that everyone can live together without facing problems simply because they aren't a Vaccine Type etc.

Megidramon and ChaosGallantmon are the same entity. What you see depends on wether or not Takato Biomerged with his Partner before they lose their mind.
