I know it’s already being talked about that all the leather-gays knew Izzy and treated him with a level of reverence. But honestly, that isn’t new. In season one, Geraldo treats him that way, Jackie (to an extent) also seems to have a lot of respect for him. He is a known and respected figure. He deferred to Blackbeard and Blackbeard only for a LONG time.

THAT BEING SAID…. The way he rocked up to Steak Knife who only didn’t recognize him at first because he had to look down to actually see him… I thought FOR SURE that the joke was going to be that Izzy had been his dom and that was how they knew each other. And tbh, I’m not sure that that’s wrong exactly. It would make perfect sense if Izzy was a switch. He’s obviously (and canonically) a masochist who has extremely subby tendencies where Blackbeard is concerned, but the way he toys with Lucius and other crew members shows that he has a whole other side to him.
