Late night thoughts (Raine/Eda)

For them, it’s been a haze. No memories stuck within the time when the emperor did what he did. Part of them was glad that it turned out that way, not recalling what they did under his control.

It was supposed to be a breath of fresh air... It was supposed to make things easier.

All it did was bring in more guilt. They took part in Belos’s plan. They hurt Eda. Even Eda’s kids are still stiff around them. It’s been a few weeks since her childhood best friend snapped them out, No one told them what they’ve done. All they knew was they’ve been controlled for over a month.

If they hadn’t woken up in time. They would’ve killed her.

Raine gripped tightly onto their arm. Eda never held it against them. Every time the bard attempted to apologize, She simply stated there was nothing to apologize for, that it wasn’t their fault. But it was. Which frustrated them further. If they hadn’t fallen for the obvious trap this wouldn’t have happened. Eda wouldn’t have believed they'd died. Their team wouldn’t have to be rescued. No one had to get hurt.

Raine sighed, turning to meet the sleeping Clawthorne. For whatever reason, she’s chosen to let them stay. To rebuild what was once broken, to be able to start again, but not as friends, something more. Each day expecting her first love to break it off, only to be met with a loving daze. Met with reassurance. That she wanted them here, for both the bad and the good.

They laughed quietly in disbelief. Eda trusted them with caring for her Son. Without an ounce of hesitation. That much this beautiful witch trusted them.

Raine wasn’t worthy of her. That they knew. But… Knowing that Eda has chosen them. A bard who has stage fright! To be her lover was more than enough to let them sleep in peace.

Hi, guys! So last month I reached 12k followers on this blog, a milestone I genuinely never thought I’d see. After all my fandom hopping and periods of inactivity, I really do feel blessed and grateful to have made so many friends and retained some long-time mutuals and followers. I don’t deserve you guys. Truly.

As a small token of my gratitude I’ve decided to celebrate this milestone in two ways: with a birthday page and url gifset giveaways for my mutuals.
