this is so delightfully specific and I'm going to have to give it an A because if there was a way I could specifically filter by this as a category I would but instead I just do that by defacto shipping things where people are psychosexually obsessed with somebody killing them. bonus points if it's sublimated eroticism at work

Lovers to Enemies, but that's only because we're talking fanfiction tropes and if I see a fic tagged "enemies to lovers" there's a 80% chance it's going to be "rivals who are rude to each other" when what I'm much more invested in "if you fell in love with someone you tried to murder would that be fucked up or what."

A+ and here's some extra credit on this one again, maybe even more than time travel on its own. for one thing it increases the opportunities for brutal suffering considerably! if you can always reboot at the beginning you can inflict so much pain on a character and they'll come back up for more. :)

and then also getting to explore multiple paths of causality in one fic, and again that question of inevitability and what is immutable vs. what can be changed, and how a character changes (or doesn't) over multiple iterations, and the "going a little bit/a lot bit insane" of it all...

the only thing about time loops I do sometimes wish I saw more of was the exploration of the aftermath, because damn you have to feel like that leaves you fucked up for a while on several levels. not just with all the new trauma but also with the, like. lurking fear that this is just another loop and it's about to start over again. I wrote a fic like that once and I'd love if other people wrote more of it.

Time loop plot in which one character becomes aware of it, or one in which a specific character becomes corrupted?

This is actually a very hard one because both are really good

I'm gonna say "in which a character becomes corrupted" because 1) I don't think I've ever seen that one before, and 2) in the specific context of a time loop you could make some very fucked up shit and I like that. I want my blorbo to go fucking bonkers and I want them to feel pushed to the extremes by the very stressful situation that is I Am A Prisoner Of Time And I Can't Get Out.

"You know...for someone who says they like me just as a friend, you sure do blush a lot in my presence. What's up with that?"

Going on DATES without realizing that they're doing couple-y things and someone casually commenting they're a cute couple (hehehe)

^^ "We are not a couple. I swear-" "Yeah, never. They're not even my type." "Yeah, same here." (sureeeee mhmm)

Hugs lasting a little longer than usual, and it gets all awkward because they are waiting for the other one to pull away, but neither of them wants to.

It is okay to love your best friend, because that's what I've done as well. And I would've never know that you also love me, if you never said it. So let me say this, I love you too." Cue the long, slow kiss and the tears that run down their cheeks while doing so. And they lived happily ever after!
